I knew him as Solas, a thoughtful mage obsessed with dreams. But long ago, he had a different name. Fen’Harel, the Dread Wolf.

The thing about dragon age 2 is that its very well written with compelling choices and deeply complex characters who all have motivations for their own ways of doing things and they're stories are each so unique and everything they do make sense for who they are and they are all fascinating the problem is that with the exception of Varric and Merril and to an extent the twins, I can't for one reason or another (most of which is petty but is also enough of a factor) stand any of them.

fuck it. i’m gonna say it.
cu//en deserved any and all torture he got at the hands of mages. he was perfectly content with killing and torturing them BEFORE things at the circle went to shit and he deserved nothing less.
it’s laughable how people use his trauma as justification for his behavior afterwards but. what’s the excuse for before? what is it? that he’d feel bad for killing a pretty girl mage he wasn’t allowed to fraternize with? wow. what a catch.
