Why do we not talk about the fact that Lyor & Seth destroyed a fucking marriage because of bees. That guy killed those roses for the bees and then his wife killed the bees and then they exposed it. What the fuck is happening

new fanfic alert lol. an excerpt from "out of his sight" my WIP seth x lyor (designated survivor) fanfic took because the world is lacking.
when i've written enough to put it on my ao3 i will reblog this with the link!
context: this is after they get back from Taurasi
“We should get moving,” Mike says to the President. He nods, and the group hurries off the tarmac. Tom hurries into one of the vehicles, while Aaron and Kendra get into their respective rides.
Kendra glances over at the remaining two, “Do you guys need a ride?”
“We can get a cab,” Lyor responds before Seth can accept the offer, and Kendra drives off.
“I don't want to take a cab,” Seth sighs.
“Good,” Lyor replies, “We aren't.” He starts walking, and Seth hurries after him. “What are we doing?”
“Walking, it's healthier. And we lost our luggage anyway.” Seth groans, and follows him. “Isn't your apartment the other way?”
“I'm walking you home first,” Lyor responds.
“Why?” Seth asks, “You don't care.”
“Last time you walked off there was a tsunami,” Lyor sighs, “You have a bad track record.”
Seth rolls his eyes. Lyor smirks slightly. They walk in silence for a while. “You didn't mention saving kids,” Lyor comments eventually.
“I just didn't think that it was relevant,” Seth responds.
Lyor nods. “Nice work, I suppose.”
“Can we not talk about this? I just want to forget it happened,” Seth says.
“Sure,” Lyor nods, and they continue in silence. When they arrive at Seth’s apartment building they stand awkwardly. Seth tries to turn towards the building, but something stops him from moving. The same thing stops Lyor from turning back towards his own apartment. Seth opens his mouth, and then closes it. Lyor gestures towards where he should be going, in an effort to remind his own brain that he should start going there. “Do you want to…” Seth pauses. Lyor looks at him. “Well… your apartment is pretty far, you could crash on my couch.” He pauses, instantly regretting the offer.
“I'd better not,” Lyor says eventually, “I have to get back to my place and get a fresh pair of clothes and stuff.”
Seth nods quickly, glad that the dark of the night hides his embarrassment, and hurries into the building, not looking back. Lyor walks away, looking back multiple times.
It occurs to Seth, the next morning, that he could have gotten a cab instead of walking with Lyor, or asked Kendra for a ride. For some reason he hadn't thought of that in the moment.

Something something Marble Hornets is a tragedy something something...
but the fact that before we even meet all of the named characters, half of them are dead.
Seth and Sarah are dead before Jay ever looks at the tapes he got from Alex. We hear Amy's name but the first and only tape we see her in is the tape that seals her fate (the fate we never even see, it wasn't recorded or if it was Jay never got to see it). We see Brian in the tapes during the filming of Marble Hornets, but by time Jay starts investigating Brian is gone and only Hoodie-- a mystery, a loose end (how much of Brian was left? We get a glimpse in the comics but in the webseries proper we get no answers and he might as well be Dead)-- remains.
And in the end, only Tim and Jessica are left.
