I'm doing well...a bit busy with stuff, but otherwise alright. Hope you're thriving, bestie. ✨

I have read SJTR, yes! And I quite enjoyed it honestly. I found the mysteries very interesting...even though I ended up predicting the plot twist in 3/4 of the books, I found the plot fun to follow.

This series is a mix of historical fiction (very loosely though, just because it draws a little bit of inspiration from figures you may have heard of, like Jack the Ripper and Houdini) + mystery + a hint of fantasy + a sweet little romance

I think the mystery + romance combo is where you would get the KOTW vibes too, I think. 👀

Most people that I know who love KOTW also liked SJTR, so it's worth a shot.

It's about Audrey Rose Wadsworth, who tags along with her uncle's forensic/morgue work in his lab, and ends up investigating a string of murders.

There's also Thomas Cresswell (*screams*) who is just.....*chef's kiss*. If you loved Wrath, I think you'll love Thomas too.

Oh and also, SJTR is a young adult series, not new adult or adult. That could be either a pro or a con, depending on how you look at it.

These book are not literary masterpieces, but they sure as hell are fun and a good way to pass some time. So I'd definitely recommend the series.

20 Juni: Experimenteren/ Finaliseren

“Elke boek staat of zich, maar maakt nog uit van een reeks” was wat de opdracht ons gaf. 

“The darkest minds” hebben een gemeenschappelijk symbool, het oog in het midden en de kleur van de achtergrond. Anders dan dat zijn de kleuren van de tekst en ontwerp van de boekomslag anders. 

“Stalking jack the ripper” hebben het gemeenschappelijk dat alle boekomslagen een leerenboekje hebben en notie papieren. Elke keer is de boek anders en de notie papieren ook. Dan wat ze uniek hebben zijn objecten die te maken hebben met het verhaal in het boek. 

Als je de series naast elkaar zet, dan zie je dat “Stalking Jack the Ripper” (SJtR) series ontwerp unique uit staat op zich maar ook nog toont dat het bij een serie past door het gemeenschappelijk symbool van het leerenboekje. Voor “The Darkest Minds” (tDM) lijken de ontwerpen te veel op mekaar, ze tonen echt dat het met een serie past, maar ze staan niet echt op zich. 

SJtR toont meer creativiteit aan, zelfs is het een digitaal collage op photoshop en niet mix media is het creatief aangetoont. 

In het einde heb ik besloten om dan verder te werken met “stalking jack the ripper”. 

Toch toon ik wel de boek steken die ik had ontworpen voor “The darkest Minds” 

We komen tot het einde van de project, we zijn er bijna.

So I was gonna post on Christmas but forgot. Then I was gonna post on New Year’s Day... and forgot.

Last year I know I posted sjtr fics on those days, and thoughtout the year posted fics on an irregular basis. I want to say this year I’ll be better at posting fics and having more for you but idk, we shall see. I’ve got a few ideas, but nothing that I’m fully focused on and it kinda sucks (so if you have any prompts or idea please send them my brain needs all the help it can get).

But I want to be more active again this year, it’s so fun talking to my mutals about stuff here and I haven’t done that properly

So with that being said I have a discord server!! My hope is that it’s a fun chill place that we can be active and hopefully if there’s enough people a book club. (That’s am eventually thing I want to do though)
