So ok. First I need to clarify that I had a lot of struggle to choose which Skeksis would work with what prompt (especially since SkekSyn is a clone of Skekso after he died, so there would be only 9 Skeksis left) So I just shoved the death of Skekso further back in the past. At least I have the opportunity to let him interact with other Skeksis that are dead in the movie.

Since the Monarch has the birthright to be the leader, SkekUng wasn't really happy with that. There might be an opportunity to work together, once SkekZok gives the approval of that. But no matter what. The Monarch is always above the others, even tho he is still a tiny childling.

So here is the last and final prompt! The one they actually care for!

Surprised to see SkekTek, ey?

SkekTek tried to figure out how to cheat death after the scare with the death of the emperor. He carefully took a sample of the ashes, that was once SkekSo, and made a huge experiment to make a clone and possible bringing SkekSo back to life. Sadly the experiment was flawed and instead created a new skeksis. Once SkekTek figured that out, he threw a huge tantrum and tried to get rid off the SkekSyn, because he was a mistake. But oh my! SkekZok already knew about that experiment and refused that the doc kills off the skekling! Reluctant he accepted SkekZoks demand. He even gave the experiment a name! "SkekSyn" (Skeksis + Synthetic. I know, creative) The doc can't stand to be around him, because it just reminds him what a futile experiment he was and what a failure SkekTek is himself. But somehow SkekSyn tries his best to get the affection of SkekTek. He was the first person he has seen, once he opened his tiny eyes after all...

Wow. Just wow! That was my first prompt drawing and my, my that was fun! I am sure that I will join next year again!! : D

Holy moly I had cramps after that one! This one is inspired of the one and only SkekLa from deviantart! I seriously can't even be close to copy her drawing style! (Please commission her. She is so fucking talented!)

This prompt is: The uneasy ally. SkekSyn is a goody two-shoes since he is not a split Urkskeks, like his brethren. So dude has a good parts on him. It was mostly concerning for the Skeksis that he showed compassion towards lower forms. SkekLach came up with the idea to teach him to be morally incorrect. Of course she couldn't push him to kill someone. But takes some slow steps towards it. Like stealing cookies from an old man (SkekOk) She finds it the most amusing to cause trouble with the small skeksis. Of course SkekSyn wasn't happy with her ideas, but cookies are cookies.

So this prompt: The one they fear is in watercolors this time!.

It was clear that SkekMal saw the others as weak, but dear god. A little youngling like SkekSyn is even weaker! Such a young and stupid fletchling that believes in the good of the Skeksis, pah! SkekSyn could never understood SkekMal and his reasoning. SkekZok tries to keep SkekSyn away from him, despite knowing he wouldn't have any power against SkekMal if he wanted to hurt him. He would be one of the reasons why the young monarch could never leave the castle.

HAHA HUMAN JUMPSCARE. This prompt is: The one they hate! And I must say..this was a stretch! SkekEkt and him don't hate each other. It's more playful fighting! They sometimes stick the tongue out at each other or say kid-like insults at each other. I don't think anyone can actively hate him, not because he is cute or something like that, but SkekZok wouldn't let them! His presence is enough to make them shut their beaks!

Eyo I am a bit late with that prompt, but here is the prompt: The one they can't figure out!

SkekSyn never understood SkekVars short temper and his quiet strange decisions to eat ceiling decorations. Either way. The general believes, as well, that the monarch is SkekSo without his memory. He doesn't know that SkekSyn is a clone, but believes that he is SkekSo, because he got told so. Not much in his pea-brain after all! So it's always a funny concept that he tries to bond with SkekSyn in the strangest ways possible.

What a mess...

Yet another prompt done! This time it is prompt 3 of skektember: The one they look up to!

SkekZok is a father figure to SkekSyn. At first it was just his job, due the emperors legacy. But after some time there was an emotional bond build. They spend so much time together that this unpleasant nuisance turned into joy. Though there was always the hope that the clone was the actual emperor and not a new skeksis. It brought pain to the old man no matter which version might be the truth....

EYO ANOTHER ONE DONE! This time in manga style! ; D

This prompt is: The one they learned something from! And of course, who else has the most knowledge than Skekok, the scrollkeeper? The small monarch needs to soak up all the knowledge he could get! So it is quiet common that he will stay at evenings with him and SkekOk will read him the glorious stories of how the Skeksis win the lands and made it theirs. Total grandpa vibes if I say so myself. SkekSyn loves to hear all the stories and facts that this old man has to offer. At least SkekZok gets a break to reat up in the meantime..!

Help, I got pulled into dark crystal by two certain people. (YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE SKEKLA AND @devilbinx) *Cough* Anyways. Meet Skeksyn or "the Monarch". 

He will appear only in the movie.  After the Emperor died, SkekTek took a bit of his ashes in the hope to cheat Thra and death itself. He tried to find a way to be reborn again by an untested cloning technique. The experiment went well and soon out of the ashes and young Skeksis emerged. The doctor soon realized that he did not look like SkekSo or even remember anything, which means he created a new Skeksis out of the ashes. 

SkekTek proclaimed that this experiment was futile and wanted to destroy the youngling. But SkekZok believed that this was the emperor in some way and refused to let the scientist kill him. 

SkekTek couldn't refuse the Ritual-master and gave the newborn the name SkekSyn (Skeksis +Synthetic). Pleased with the name, the Ritual-Master gave SkekSyn the title "Monarch".

He immediately replaced SkekSo's place as the ruler, which SkekSil and SkekUng immediately displeases. Another issue is that SkekSyn has no counterpart, meaning that he has both sides. Good and evil. 

It will cause conflict under the Skeksis, but also they cannot do anything, because he is under the protection of SkekZok.

What a mess! He is also only the size of a Gelfling. 

I also need to headcanon that Jen takes WAY longer to get to the place. Because in the original movie he popped up within 24 hours  after SkekSo's death in that place.

This prompt today is: The one they share gossip with! This time its in the amazing @devilbinx artstyle! (Or at least I tried..!)

Skeksil is always a chattermouth, so not even Skeksyn is safe from him! But Skeksil is less active to manipulate him, because it doesn't take much to make him do stuff. He also tells him total lies about the others too. And SkekSyn eats it up, because he is young and stupid.

So that is my 2nd entry for Skektember! The sworn enemie is: SkekAyuk!

Since Skeksis are always hungry, so sometimes it can happen that SkekSyn goes into the huge kitchen and steal something to munch on. Of course SkekAyuk, the gourmand, isn't really happy about that and chases the poor youngling around. It happens often that Skekzok will go between them and scold SkekAyuk for his outburst. SkekSyn totally doesn't get spoiled here....
