I am using this as an excuse to overexplain my three sylvari sub-races that were born from other trees. Pale Tree siblings if u will, ans their kidos~

• Redwood (no pronouns at all) is first of course. A towering Redwood tree deep in the Far Shiverpeaks. Redwood's influence was, from a seed to sapling to tree, the spirits of the wild and the various creatures of the mountain forests. The children produced all have varying animal qualities that would serve them well among the high peaks. Some resemble mountain goats or deer, others resemble bears and snow leopards, still others can fly like an owl or hawk. It would be hard to visually connect them to central tyrian sylvari at a glance. And the tree, Redwood, has an avatar as hulking and majestic as the trees Redwood resides among. (Art by the amazing @vampiricsheep ) Unlike the Pale Tree, Redwood actively wanders the forests in avatar form, traveling among Redwood's many children.

• The next seed grew in the crystal desert, having caught the wind until settling among a roost of harpies. It grew tall, roots propping it high in the sky, mimicking the shelter that those around it cultivated. Its children took after these gardeners of course, wings made of light and feathery leaves that could catch the winds, and bamboo-like bodies to provide an almost weightless quality. While the tree remains in its roost, housing both its own children and neighboring harpies, those born from this tree have traveled far and wide with ease, exploring the world they're in.

• One seed was never seen by people before it took root, having never left the depths of Maguuma. Instead the seed fell deep within a crevice into the cave systems below, where light would never reach. He grew still though, adapting to what was necessary, taking nutrients from the other cave creatures such as chakk. A beautiful glowing pitcher plant spans the height of a glorious cave, enticing food to feed him and his children. And from these resources he has built his children to be sturdier than he could ever hope to be, giving them bodies mapped and intertwined with flesh that turns all their colors to vibrant reddish jewel tones that sap still runs through, with a hard barky outer layer. They chitter like the insects they live among, and are naturally curious and docile given that there's so few predators designed to hunt them. They've lived an altogether peaceful life, the time when Mordremoth awoke is a blurred blank spot and once the dragon died they were their own people again. They welcome visitors and many have traveled out of the caves to meet others, naturally curious of other sentient races.
