Hi! I just saw you updated yesterday night and I really wanted to read it but I also really needed to sleep, so... guess what? Someone didn't go to sleep until midnight after finishing your newest masterpiece ^^ first off: I'm glad Fiona is alright (or was by the time I wrote my last comment. I really wanted to reply sooner but life was a hassle and I wanted to do it right and not between one emergency and the next and then I kind of forgot...) (1/?)
(I really hope she is still good and going strong.) I also don't know how sever the whole corona situation is where you live and I hope you still get to go home/are home right now and are as good as possible. And i wanted to thank you again for sharing your writing with us. It's always so good and my imagination is running wild with the pictures you paint with your words. It's jist all so vivid and emotional and beautiful (2/?)
I could practically feel the budding love between Jason and Kyle nd I love how you write them. It's somehoe spot on and still different from their usual relationship... more serious and less love-hate and I absolutely adore it. I also love whatever you are doing with Guy and Hal right now. It's funny and cute and they are on the best way to become some of my favorites (3/?)
(Though you do have a way of making all the characters incredible... relatable if not likable. Even Bruce and the others. Guy and Hal and Carole and Roy and Lian and Kyle and obviously Jason are incredibly lovable and so great, but I also ger Bruce, no matter how mad I am at him... that said, I also wouldn't disagree with some of the GLs and Sapphires having a long, nice talk with him.) And i am really ibterested where you are taking the situarion wuth the red lanterns. (4/?)
Your Batfam chapters always make my heart ache so good and I can't wait to see how they react to Bruce's assumption. And if Bruce puts it together after that idea gets stomped out by the RL oe ifit takes Jason coming back to earth for him to realise what's really going on. On that note I'm also really interestwd in how Jason's official ressurection is going. Also, I'm not 100% sure if the line about Hal's name going on Jason's papers was a joke or not (5/?)
(it probably was and he is going to be ressurected as Jason Todd, ward of Bruce Wayne) but it's really funny to think about Bruce's reaction when Jason's new legal identity would be Hal's son of all people. I can really see Bruce throw hands about that and it would be so funny. That said, I can't wait to see where all of this is going to go. (6/?)
And I'm already looking forward to the next stages of the JayKyle relationship and Jason's relarionships in general and how the hero community is going to react to his return after everything Bruce told them about him (and I absolutely adore how the GLs are having none of his 'Jason is dangerous and unpredictable' bullshit. Like, hell yes! Adopt him! Which reminds me how much I loved their reactions to Kyle's crush. That was easily one the funniest thing I've read in so long, it was great) (7/?)
Coming back to what you said about considering to put Roy in a relationship with Dick: I usually don't really read RoyDick, but I'm also pretty sure you could make me read and enjoy just about anything so I'm going to be totally onboard whether he dates Dick or Kori or Dick and Kori or just stays single. (8/?)
So, last but not least: I'm really happy that you like my reviews because your stories always make me so happy (and your art is gorgeous by the way, I'm parricularly in love with your designs for the Sapphires) and are on their best way to become my new favorite fanfic. I hope you are alright and having a good time and enjoying your art (written and painted) (9/9) (that got a lot this time, I'm really sorry for all these comments '^^)
----
Thank you! I'm actually living in China right now (from the US) so all the additonal Corona stuff has been going on here since way before I returned in February. Biggest thing is just wearing a face mask everywhere. Now I'm just waiting to find out when and where I go back to work. It's giving me time to write and draw at least so no complaints there.
Fiona's still hanging in there, she giving my family something to focus on since almost everything's still closed back home.
For the fics, the Jason and Kyle relationship has definitely been a practice in picking and choosing what works. Countdown being their only actual interaction in the comics as far as I know helps because I don't have to keep looking to a Canon relationship for reference since they basically don't have one. Oh, what's that meme I'm thinking of? It's free real estate. (Tumblr won't let me post images in an answer apparently)
Bruce can be pretty set in his ways so it'll take a bit to realize he's wrong about what kind of Lantern Jason is, especially without proof. And his assumptions tend to leave the family an emotional and mental mess which isn't gonna be good for what's about to happen.
The line about Hal's name on Jason's papers was mostly a joke, though the Lanterns are hoping for it. At the moment Jason doesn't know they're doing the resurrection for him, they basically want it to be like a gift when he returns to Earth. While they want to change the names around to put Hal in there, they'd want Jason's approval before they did that. If he wanted to do it they'd be more than up for a quick change (I'd assume if Roy couldn't get it done Talia's got more than enough contacts to get a guy to deal with it). Man, I don't know if Bruce would even be able to throw hands at that point in the story if that's what they do, he'd just be kinda done, completely hopeless for ever mending his relationship with Jason.
The GLs are quickly becoming some of my favorite characters honestly. They're all so varied in their experiences both as Lanterns and before they were Lanterns (and technically during times between being a Lantern). Reading and researching them for this series is really making me see how much I've been missing out on them and what amazing stories you could tell with them. It also helps, especially in this story, that their GL duties have them leaving Earth so often. Most of the other heroes would become normalized to a lot of the issues going on, with them not being there all the time that normalization doesn't really have a chance to sink in.
Roy's still super up in the air. Kori's coming back so we'll get their interactions but I'm not entirely sure if he or Dick or anyone on Earth is getting a relationship.
Thank you again, I'm really glad you're enjoying everything!😊

Nordictrack Commercial 1750 Review
Quick Introduction
The NordicTrack Commercial 1750 is one of the most popular treadmills on the market and was awarded one of our highest rankings because it offers so much for such a great price.
Buyers get a treadmill that provides comfort and performance for all sorts of training activities; from walking to high performance running. As far as high-quality components, two of our favourites are the 2-ply tread belt and the RunnersFelx(™) adjustable deck cushioning. These features provide you with a quiet, comfortable, and flexible workout experience.
The technology on this system is also outstanding. Our favorite is the 7 inch iFit and web-enabled touch screen. Imagine enjoying your favorite YouTube channels, keeping up with your favorite sports teams, or checking e-mails while working out. It will keep you entertained and, engaged, which means you will work out longer.
For those of you looking for a more immersive workout experience, iFit is definitely something to consider. iFit is a fitness app requiring a monthly subscription. It provides a variety of workout videos and experiences. Can you imagine going on a run through the English countryside or through the official NY marathon? Well with iFit it’s possible. Pre-loaded in the app are Google map runs that are visually presented to you on screen. Even better, the power incline on your iFit-ready treadmills adjust throughout the Google map runs to give a more realistic experience. The fitness app also allows for stat tracking; logging workouts (not just iFit ready equipment), nutrition, and sleep.
Positives
•               Strong 3.8CHP motor minimizes vibrations and allows for longer workout sessions including high-performance running
•               Large 55x152cm tread belt creates a large comfortable running surface, suitable even for taller individuals. Don’t worry about falling off the edge.
•               Tread belt is 2-ply and lubricated reducing noise and friction
•               Running deck has RunnersFlex (™) Cushioning. When “on”, it makes for a workout that is soft and comfortable on the joints. When “off” the workout experience reflects that of running outdoors.
•               Foldable design provides portability
•               22 KM/H top speed suitable for runners
•               Power decline/incline from -3% to 15% adds variety to workout experience and intensity
•               7inch touch screen keeps you engaged with web connectivity
•               38 workout apps + Ifit connectivity make for interactive and dynamic workouts
•               Heart rate monitoring
Negatives
•               Full Ifit is optional and comes with an additional monthly charge. Some may find this feature pricey.
•               Not suitable for use if you weigh more than ~125 kg
•               Heavy treadmill – 130 kg. Limits movability (but adds stability during workouts)
•               Self-assembly can be difficult for those of us who are not too handy (opt for outside help with assembly, it will be worthwhile)
Warranty Summary
•               The NordicTrack Commercial 1750 comes with:
•               10-year motor warranty
•               2 year parts + labour warranty
•               lifetime frame warranty
Bottom Line
The positives for the NordicTrack 1750 commercial are long and impressive and the negatives are a non-concern for most. The treadmill is one of the most popular and bestselling in the market and for good reason. It is definitely worth your consideration.

@hopegained asked:  ship: THEM bc i am Curious and i wanna bother u
Ship Meme || Not accepting!!
Under read more due to size!
- How do they fall asleep? Wake up? Any daily rituals? Most times they end up falling asleep with each other and waking up with Rayquelle in Eron’s hold due to the nightmares she has she seeks the comfort and warmth! DAILY RITUALS UH YEAH they try to go out at least once a day and have a ‘date’ and stargaze. It’s a way for them to relax, be in each others presence but not have to worry about others.
- How’s their team work? Do they share well? Ray is a very independent woman but since joining the resistance she has had to partake inmore team activities. Eron understands her Hesitance and works with it or around it so they can get their task done without making her uncomfortable.
- Are they open about their relationship? How do they feel about public displays of affection? Ok so this is a big thing. In the beginning stages of their relationship no one knows hell not even they really do. Eron needs alot of trust because of the walls around him and the second layer around his heart and Ray respects that. He tore hers down before she go into his so thats something she has to accept. They don’t really come out about their relationship I think ever it just kind of becomes natural and people start to see the looks in their eyes when they look at each other. Public display of affection follows the same rules and I actually think Eron is the first to break that (I answered an ask like this) Where he would have to make the conscious decision to partake in PDA.
- First impression of each other? Was it love at first sight? NO IT WAS NOT! So when they first met they payed no mind to each other however, they don’t really count it because it wasn’t anything big it was her introduction to the resistance when she was found. The real start for them was when he found her stargazing in a spot he thought no one knew about. Eron was probably unfazed at her but Ray was curious. He looked scary, not gonna lie maybe mean? But biggest of all. he looked almost... like he’d seen so much and it hurt him and she wanted to alleviate that because she too had that for herself.
- Nicknames? Pet names? Any in-jokes? Ray for Eron: Love,Babe, Baby, Eldin, Honey, Dear, and her favorite My Stars Eron for Ray: Love, Babe, Baby,  (I’m sure more but YOU WONT GIVE ME MORE ALKDJ:LK)
- Any tasks that are always left to one person? Cooking is Ray’s thing she will fight for that!
- What annoys them the most about their partner? Would they change it if they could? N O T H I N G! Both Ray and Eron treasure the other faults and all the only changes they want are to themselves. ( Ray also hates sometimes how he’s so tall she has to ask him to bend down for kisses sometimes)
- What do the like best about their partner? WOW uhm Ray loves everything but his heart is the best. He has been through so much seen so much yet still trusts her like he does and loves her like he does and that warms her to the core of her being. She wouldn’t trade it for the world. Now for Eron I don’t know if it’s what he likes best but i feel like it’s along the lines of a similar thing. She’s been a child of abuse and was flat out kidnapped yet still gives him so much even on her worst days. She always shows him hes loved and cared for and makes it known she treasures him above all else.
- Do they discuss big issues? Religion? Marriage? Children? Death? Yes they do. They’ve discussed marriage and children especially. They both would like them and also don’t want them.
- Who drives? Cooks? Does the handiwork? Cleans? Pays the bills? Handles the public? Drives; either Cooks; Ray Handiwork; either but usually Eron Clean; Both Pays the bills; Both handles the public; either
- Do they celebrate holidays? Anniversaries? RAY IS A FIRM BELIEVER IN HOLIDAYS YOU BET YOUR ASS ERON GETS SPOILED ON BIRTHDAYS WITH BOTH SEX AND FOOD AND PRESENS AND ON THEIR ANNIVERSARY OMG SHE GOES MAD WITH IT. She believes everyday you should celebrate your partner on days like those shes got the right to be everywhere with it
- Is there a wedding? What was the proposal like? Any kind of honeymoon? S o weddings. Ray wants to marry Eron thats a fact. Will the get married? Thats a hard question because i feel like in the canon verse they never feel really a NEED too. They dont need a ring to tell them that they love each other. But in any AU with them as a ship or in a verse where they do get married. They don’’t want anything big only those important to them  their marriage is for them not their friends and family. Its about them giving themselves to each other. The proposal would be cute and heartfelt and could be as simple as Eron kissing her neck and just “I want to marry you...” or her after a night of him grounding her form a nightmare she just “I want you and me forever... let’s get married Eron”  The honeymoon? They dont need fancy yet again just each other. Take it as an excuse to give it all into each other with no interruptions
- What do they do for fun? Do they have a favorite activity or do they like to switch things up? THey both stargaze, Love shooting blaster, she loves just domestic cuddling , and they always when able eat together
- Anything they both dread? Becoming those they hate and losing those they love honestly those are the biggest. Ray’s TRUEST fear is Embrent will return and kill eron and force her back under his thumb
- How adventurous are they? Eron more so than Rayquelle haha I could see him guiding her around her hand in his as they explore things though
- Do they keep secrets? Lie? Cheat? Rayquelles poker face is absolute shit.
- What would make them break up? Would it be permanent? UHM HONESTLY THE FEARS BECOMING TOO MUCH AND EVEN THEN THEY’RE BOTH LOYAL AF SO IDK IFIT WOULD RESULT IN A BREAK UP
- What are their dates like? How long do/did they date? Do they ever feel the need to take a break from each other? The dates they have are usually very mellow and no stress consisting of mainly stargazing or holovids and cuddling.
- What do they fight about? What are their arguments like? How do they make up? Arguments are almost none existent minor little battles of wit do happen but for the most part full arguments don’t! BUT on the occasion they do they get alittle emotional. Make up consists of lots of just quality time. maybe some sex who knows.
- What does their home look like? Their room? Their home thanks to Ray is clean and tidy with a set spot for everything! The same applies for their room.Their things are in no set sides of room for the most part its where ever it works
- Do they share any interests or hobbies? GUNS, KNIVES, STARGAZING, BEING PARENTS TO JAEDEN AND EVELLYN HAHA
- Does their work ever interfere with the relationship? Not in a serious method. It does spark some fear in both parties and there are nights where they get genuinely upset the other isn't there and have a horrible time sleeping. Unable to get a lick.
- How do they hug? Kiss? Tease? Flirt? Comfort? listen they just soft bbs
- Any doubts about the relationship? Both have doubts because of their history but never about each other. The doubts stem of “They will leave me like everyone else” in Eron’s head and Ray is scared she will lose him like she lost her parents. The minute comfort finds her Embrent returns and kills Eron in front of her. But in Eron himself? She knows he loves her undoubtedly and that he will always. Now she can only hope he knows she feels the same.
- How much time do they spend together? Do they share their feelings, or hold things in?
- How do their friends feel about their relationship? Their families? Leia and Luke I imagine love that they’re so good for each other. Family on Ray’s front wel uhm.... like i said leia approves haha. Everyone in the base loves it because it softened Eron and brought Ray out more and shes more sociable.
- Do they have kids? Grow old together? Split up? Well N love we both are kill happy for them in TROS SOOOOOO but i do want to write them being parents be it au or whatever UPDATE THEY HAVE A SON AND A DAUGHTER JAEDEN AND EVELLYN
- What are their vacations like? Together literally thats the thing. A vacation for them could be their bedroom. As long as they’re together
- How do the handle disasters or emergencies? Minor injuries? Sickness? RAY INSTANT PANIC ON EMERGENCIES! They are both nurses when the other is sick haha
- Could they manage a long distance relationship? IT WOULD WRECK THEM they probs could but like alot of them is physical interaction and with her nightmares it would wreck eron watching that with nothing he could do to help. Ray loves to hug and cuddle him to tell him she LOVES him and not doing that and watching him have a rough patch? nope wrecked
- Do they finish each other’s sentences? Pick up any phrases or habits from each other? Know when the other is hiding something? They know when the other is hiding something eron especially but ray has gotten good at noticing for him. Another thing is with finishing sentences. Eron could probably but he doesnt engage in it much but shell do it whenever she can!
- Do they ever get into trouble? Is it serious, or are they just mischievous? They dont get into trouble really
- What kind of presents do they get each other? Do they only do it on special occasions? Ray gives presents when she feel like it tbh. They range from hobby based to food and anything in between. If she thinks of eron when she sees it its gift material.
- Do they have any pets? Eron best get his woman her own BB unit
- Do they bring out the best in each other, or the worst? Do they have a fatal flaw? he brings out in ray allowing her to open up and she the best in him because they are actually
- What’s their greatest strength as a couple? Their weakness? The weakness is how much they self doubt themselves. they rely so heavily on each other that it may be SEVERELY detrimental if one dies
- How much would they be willing to sacrifice for the other? Any lines they refuse to cross? they would kill and die for another
- What are they like in the bedroom? Any kinks/fetishes/turn-ons? Anything they won’t do? They both have a think for oral so there’s a fair bit of it haha. Ray has an immense thing for praise in the bedroom so often when they have sex its very personal and intimate full of declarations of love and eron calling her a good girl ;) they can get kinky but like thats a whole other think im sure
- Who initiated the relationship? Who kissed who first?  When did they realize they were in love? Uhm ray accidently confessed so she started it, Eron probably kissed her first one of the they just stared at lips until someone took that plunge
- Any special memories? Do they have a special place they like to go to? Ray wants to take him to what she was told was her home so she can find out more about her childhood. Other than that none that i can think of in terms of places. OH! Their stargazing spot!!! Special memories though their first time kissing, with each other intimately, ALSO A memory eron will never forget is walking in on his lady cooing to their daughter promissing her so much in life.
- Are they party-goers? What are they like when they’re drunk? Does it happen often? They aren’t big party goers but they still enjoy a good drink with friends. Ray is HYPERSEXUAL when drunk and kind of a hyperactive person
- Do they let each other get away with things that would normally bother them? HAHAHAHnope they will not hesitate to call shit out
- Do they talk often? yes!
- Are the comfortable with each other? Anything they have to have their privacy for? They trust each other with their life and most things are open but there may be nights where they need the privacy on emotions and just need to be in their mind for a bit. the other always respects it.
- Any special dreams or goals they have as a couple? Any heartbreaks? Regrets? heartbreaks and regrets are still up in the air with them they still have time to grow but dreams? well ray wants to have a family. which they later get.

You should push it
Tumblr media
Many, many moons ago I was addicted to running. I was 14 or so. Now I’m almost 56 and I’m addicted to running once again. Probably just trying to outrun death! I am astounded at my learning curve. Where has my head been all these years? I apparently didn’t know about breathing, muscle facia, and oxygen in the blood. Clearly, I did not know that if you run consistent to a heart rate that your speed will improve at the same heart rate. Give your body time to improve without pressing your limits. I had no idea!
I love sweat, working out, and run. I’ve played sports and think giving effort is needed in all things. Yet, I spent years just a little over weight, not running, or working out. Just living until I die. I bought into a lie that my extremely physical job prevented me from exercising much. Yep, I’m a letter carrier walking about 10 miles a day. My body was slowly breaking down. As a minor hobby I would walk on the treadmill when I was on holidays and some Saturdays. I didn’t want to push it. Then in Jamaica, I walked on a super fancy treadmill while on vacation. Did it nine days straight because it was so fun. That did it! I wanted one!
So, I bought a very expensive treadmill with a good size screen and this program called IFit. My whole world exploded into walking/running training. We run and travel all over the world on the treadmill. They coached me to workout like an athlete. 25 pounds later I’m running a 10k in the snow at 6 am. This letter carrier is faster, stronger, and more fit than I have been in 30 years. I am now pushing it five days a week and running races all the time. 56 is just a number for the guy running and walking around 32000 steps a day. I am convinced it’s the only way to live well to the end.
What does God have to say? It’s utterly crazy that some preachers say drinking is a sin. 1 Timothy 5:23 says “Stop drinking only water, and use a little wine because of your stomach and your frequent illnesses.” Now, many preachers also say that Jesus turned the water (in His first miracle) into grape juice. I am positive wine is not a sin. Excessive behavior towards wine is. My point is not wine. It’s not drinking. What I’m driving at is Gods view on a little of this and a little of that. Paul also mentions to run the race to win. How does God think we should win life? It’s by participating in life to the fullest.
Drink a little wine or whatever. Read your Bible. Walk or run every day. It’s not rocket science as I once thought. Your blood needs good food. It needs a strong heart and healthy limbs and joints. Yep, your body even needs adventure, excitement, and emotion. Knowledge is great for the brain. Did you know that your brain isn’t just a hard-drive? No, it wants and needs to learn. It’s the same with your body. It wants to stress its joints and muscles. It wants to run and walk. Imagine wine thinning out the blood just a little? Imagine working out while making your blood carry more oxygen so you don’t have your heart work too much. Imagine?
You should push it! I now walk 10 miles a day at work and run 6 miles at home afterwards. I’m faster, stronger, and healthier than ever. Boy, do I have more power and motivation. I see so many people my age looking like they are the walking dead. Why do so many 40–60-year-olds look 80-90? They are cruising in a mode of eating, sitting, and watching life go by. I’m not going to say that you will live longer but it’s possible. Does living healthy have a better chance at an extra 5 or ten years? I don’t know, but we do know, don’t we?
Your choice of two voices. You can’t or you can. It’s one or the other. Some will say I just don’t need to or want to. Yet, billions are spent on self help books, diets, and fitness machines each year. New Year’s promises go unused. Why? It’s because deep down inside our body is screaming for work. It’s screaming for activity, wonder, and hope. Did you know your body does not want to die? Why are so many just cruising along until they die? I heard this thing about leaving life unfinished. What if you worked so hard at living that you died healthy and with projects unfinished? There is bored and uninspired and there is busy and over committed to life. It’s your choice?
The voices say slow down. We need that. Other voices say keep moving, we need that too. It’s a little of this and a little of that. Drink water, wine, and milk. Eat salad, hamburgers, and vegetables. I can guarantee that many people say they were not built for exercise and fitness. They don’t like healthy food. Yet, so many look like they are dying slowly. It might have taken me 50 years abut if I die it will be busy, fit, and doing unfinished projects. I’m not living until I die. I’m just living for tomorrow!

Stop Losing Sleep Now!
Imagine the refreshing feeling you feel when you wake up after a good night’s sleep. It seems as if you can take on the world. Nothing can stop you from taking on whatever life throws at you because you have the energy and mental acuity that only enough rest and sleep can give you. Indeed, sleep is a curative process and your body benefits from it in many ways but it is something that we also increasingly miss out on because of our modern lifestyle. There’s almost no difference now between night and day except the unstoppable darkness that envelops the land without fail since our planet came to life. The nights are just as alive as the days. With a thriving nightlife especially in big cities. The dominance of technology is also a big distraction. Instead of closing your eyes and drifting off to sleep once you hit the sack, many of us are guilty of still using your smartphones and browsing the web and social media until the wee hours of the morning.
Aside from these modern vices, there are certain sleep conditions like insomnia and sleep apnea that makes sleep impossible. The latter even affects partners and spouses because the loud snoring is just so annoying. No wonder that sleep clinics are gaining in popularity nowadays. It is a good thing since people with sleep issues no longer need to line up in clinics and hospitals alongside other sick patients because there is now a facility that is especially equipped with the staff and equipment needed to address problems involving sleep (or better yet, the lack of it). Since there are plenty of sleep clinics now that can help you with your sleep woes, there is no reason for you to keep on losing sleep each night.
The global market for sleep aids, of which gadgetry is a part, is predicted to be worth up to US$80 billion (Dh293bn) by 2020, and this trend was evident at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas earlier this year where a section was devoted exclusively to sleep-related technology.
Sleep trackers, which aim to measure the amount of sleep you’re getting each night, use accelerometers, microphones and other sensors to detect tossing and turning, and report back their findings in the morning. Since the appearance of the first sleep tracking smartphone apps towards the end of the last decade, these measurements have become more sophisticated – although they still stop short of polysomnography techniques used in sleep clinics. Sensors such as iFit Sleep and S+, can track heart rate or breathing intensity, while last year Apple bought a Finnish sleep tracking firm, Beddit, with a view to incorporating its technology into its own products. Sleep tracking has, however, been criticised for its passive nature. After all, our bodies can already tell when we haven’t had enough sleep; many of these trackers merely provide the numbers to confirm the extent of the insomnia without doing anything practical to address it.
(Via: https://www.thenational.ae/lifestyle/the-numbers-why-we-pay-the-price-for-a-good-night-s-sleep-1.681515)
You get to stay for the night in sleep clinics so the medical staff can assess you properly. In your sleep, of course, because your problems occur while you are in slumber. There are several devices attached to you to check what your body is like when you are sleeping. It really is a complex and extensive process of evaluating your sleeping habits and your body’s reactions to find out what is wrong with you and the best possible management for your condition. And you don’t even have to pay a fortune to afford a checkup at most sleep clinics because most medical insurance got it covered.
Behavioral changes also can be effective in tackling sleep issues. In 2016, the ACP recommended for the first time that cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia be the first-line treatment for adults with chronic insomnia. The ACP's president stated that although there is not enough evidence to directly compare CBT-I and drug treatment, CBT-I likely is to be less harmful, while sleep medications can be associated with serious adverse effects.
CBT-I is a combination of treatments, including cognitive therapy, behavioral interventions, such as sleep restriction and stimulus control, and helping develop habits conducive to a good night's sleep.
(Via: http://www.daily-journal.com/life/health/age-may-not-be-why-you-re-sleeping-badly/article_0054e867-cc20-5a59-a589-0e49b34d07ec.html)
At times, more drastic interventions are needed to address problems in your slumber as not all the time simple lifestyle modifications helps, most importantly, it is not nice or safe to keep on taking sleeping pills all the time. At times, patients who come in at sleep clinics get prescribed with other sleep management techniques that do not always involve medicines. Behavioral therapy is just one example. While some may frown on such a strategy, it actually has been helpful to many and safe too because no chemical intake is involved like with conventional pharmacologic treatment. It’s the advantage of seeking treatment at a sleep clinic. Whatever your sleep condition is, you can expect to choose from a diverse set of options on what the best treatment is but still giving you the choice to decide for yourself. This has come in handy especially for patients suffering from sleep apnea and are least excited at the thought of sleeping with CPAP because they realize they have options after all.
Another helpful device you’ll know about during a visit to the sleep clinic is anti-snoring mouthpieces. There are different brands and makes in the market but these two are no fail as well: https://snoringmouthpiecereview.org/zquiet and https://snoringmouthpiecereview.org/good-morning-snore-solution. You don’t have to live in fear all the time knowing your breathing stops in your sleep if you have sleep apnea but you don’t have to put up wearing a CPAP if you don’t like it either. You can simply use either of those two anti-snoring gadgets and you’ll do just fine.

Lobster nets 1M to scale its user-generated content licensing marketplace
U.K. startupLobster is gearing up to scale its user-generated content licensing marketplace, as it closesa 1 million Series A. Its expecting to have closed out the roundnext week, with 85 percent of the funding committed at this point and onlyits decision on thelast fewinvestors outstanding.
Committed investors include KL10CH (aka The Key), a tech hub co-working space in Moscow, Russia where the startupsdev team is currently based; andNikolay Katorzhnov, the former CEO of Otkritie Capital, who is contributing 500,000; along with various other unnamed investors making smaller contributions. The remaining 20 percent of the round will be derived from U.K. and international angels, and follow-ons from investors in previous rounds.
The London-based startup, which was one of the 2014 battlefield finalists at TechCrunch Disrupt Europe, has previously raised around $700,000 in seed funding, including from Wayra UK, U.K. angels and via acrowdfunding route.
Its built a licensing platform with thepitch to its target brands/ad agency customers being to simplify legal useof user-generated content in their marketing materials by offering a low-friction way for them to locate and license themore authenticvisuals being shared on social media platforms(versus using tired stock photography). The business model is a subscription, with various tiers offered, including a month free trial as a taster.
For social media users aka Lobsterscontent contributors thecarrot is the chance to earn a little money on the side from their normal social mediaactivity.
Co-founder and CEO Olga Egorsheva says theSeries A will be going toward expanding boots on the ground in other countriesto drive marketing and partnership efforts overseas, with new offices plannedfor the U.S. and Asia. It will also befocusing resourceson AI-powered search, which it launched last year, aiming to enhancecontent-ranking andshow its customersmore relevant content.
This is really thenext step for us. Its really that moment where we start scalingnot only the contributor usage but the customer usage and we need to put some money in, some fuel in, to really make it take off in the key markets, she tells TechCrunch.
We have customers in the U.S., we have a few users in the U.S. and all over the world but we want to market more intensively in the U.S. to businesses, to different agencies and media creatives, and through API integrations.
Lobster also launched its firstAPI integration last week, with U.K. website builder Moonfruit, but is aiming to ramp up on this front too targeting10more suchintegrations in Q1-Q2 includingtalking to Adobe in the hopes of being able to plug Lobster into Photoshop in the future.
On the content front, itcurrently supports integrations withInstagram, Flickr, Facebook, Vk, YouTube and Vimeo, as well as allowingusers to makecontent available for licensing purposes via cloud storage providers such asDropbox and Verizon Cloud.
Users can choose to sync all their content automatically, or select specific photos and videos ora particular folder for licensingvia Lobster. The platform then indexes the metadata to power its search function, pulling in infosuch as hashtags, geolocation, titles, resolutions and so on. Egorsheva says their tech will alsoautomatically pull any newmetadata thats added to content in the future, meaningusers dont have to manuallyupdate any synced content.
Lobsters AI will alsoauto tag images to improve the quality of content tagging, as well assupporting other more powerful search features such as the ability to filter content based on a particular color palette (i.e. to match brand livery), or to upload aphoto to viewsimilar images in search results.
The AI can also identify faces, so customerscan filter for images with or without people, for example, and perform even more specificsearches, such as for different genders, ethnicities, ages and facial/emotional expressions.
TheAI-powered search alsoworks for video content, though this is one of the areas Lobster islooking to enhancewith thenew funding ideallybypartnering with anAI-focused startup that has built dedicated video search tech.
Part of [our current]AI is based on Stanfords technology which our tech team has adjusted to serve the social media field, and the database of social media that we have. The way forward as I see it is more in collaborating with industry players in AI, says Egorsheva.
Lobster nowhas around 17,000 people actively signed up to license their contentfromsites such as Instagram, Facebook, Flickr and YouTube, creating a poolofmore than five million pieces of content that itscustomers can browse, searchand license.
The platform is not strictly limited to this opt-inpool, though, as it also (at higher pricing tiers) offers a route for brands to reach out to any public user of thevarious social media platformsit supports to ask them tolicense specific content expanding its potential reach to some 30-40 billion photos and videos.
Itusesstandard, non-exclusive agreements for thecontent it licenses, in order to she says keep things simple, though it has manually agreed to a handful of exclusive licenses, andEgorsheva addsit may look to include an option forthat in the future if demand grows.
Pricing for content is automated by the platform, based on factors such as the source, resolution and whether the image has already been featured somewhere or not. And there are two standard types of licenses: one for content that gets less than one million views/plays; and an extended (and more expensive) license ifcontent garners more eyeballs.
Lobstertakes a 25 percent cut of any licensing revenue passing 75 percent to the content creator.Payouts to users are done via PayPal.
Another aspect of UGC licensing that theplatform simplifies is around model release (i.e. getting consent for anyone in the photos to their image being licensed for commercial use). Instead of requiring paper or PDF forms to be signed and collected by the content creator, itlets users share a link with their Facebook friends to authorize the usage of their image.
Its overallapproach of beingan aggregator and enabler, rather than trying to command a content repositoryof its own is its strategic advantage, reckonsEgorsheva.
Instead of creating another place where you would go and have to upload posts again were trying to uncover all that multitude of content that people already create, she says.
It also allows us as a platform to scale infinitely, almost, she adds. Because we dont store those images we pull the data, save the data and our search algorithm works with the data.
She also claimssocial platforms like the approach as it does not seek to draw their users activity elsewhere, and might even help them sustain users interest in posting to the social platforms if they aregetting some financial recompensefrom their activity, too.
Ive been offering revenue shares many times but the social networks and the clouds say that the engagement that they get or envision to get out of it is much more valuable for them.
At this point Lobster has around 30 customers, with clients including the likes of Hills Pets, Colgate Palmolive and their agency Red Fuse/WPP. (As you can imagine, Hills Pets was looking for cute photos of dogs.)
And while its currently focused on licensing visual content,Egorsheva says it could look to move into other areas in the future such as licensing user-generated music, via a platform like SoundCloud.
How much can content contributors make from licensing their stuff? It sounds as ifits mostlikely to be beer money (at least to social media users in the West), thoughEgorsheva says a userwhose content styleattracts the attention of an agency might be able to make a few hundred pounds (versus a few pounds or tens of pounds for others).
Still,Lobster is intended to be passive work, given its piggybacking on content a personwould probably be uploading anyway so its real lureisthe chanceof free money, at least for anyone actively uploading multimedia content to social media.
Its a good incentive that, by just connecting your accounts, and continuing to post as you usually do organically, you can earn for an extra cup of coffee or a beer, argues Egorsheva.
What we see in developed countries, in Europe and the U.S., is that the bigger incentive is getting noticed and getting into some agencys campaign and supporting the culture of not stealing or screenshotting images but legally getting permission, she adds.
Its very different for users in, for example, India or Eastern Europe, because for them this money naturally is a bigger deal So in them we see they are stimulated by earnings as well.

Altra Torin IQ shrewd shoes audit: Putting a mentor and comfort at your feet Running admirably isn't simple, nor is making a decent running coach.
Smart running shoes and run-training wearables aren't new, however the Altra Torin IQ brilliant tennis shoes join the following and instructing components of each. Fueled by iFit innovation, the $220 Torin IQ shoes are a more brilliant rendition of the prevalent Torin tennis shoe the organization has sold for quite a while. The IQ shoes are furnished with sensors in the insole that catch separation, pace, and rhythm, and in addition key data about your running style, such as landing zone and effect rate. Not exclusively will the shoes track how far and how quick you run, but at the same time they're outfitted with a voice mentor that gives you pointers on the most proficient method to run better while you're mid-walk. They basically consolidate the greatest components of Under Armor's Gemini 2 keen shoes and the Lumo Run wearable mentor. Yet, that accommodation alone doesn't make Torin IQs the best fit for individuals who need to enhance their shape and effectiveness. Look and feel I adore that many brilliant running shoes appear to be indistinguishable to general running shoes, and Altra's Torin IQ are the same. Altra took its prominent Torin outline for men and ladies and inserted a full-length sensor into the insole that measures rhythm, landing zone, affect rate, and ground contact time. The sensors, alongside the shoes' coin-cell batteries, are imperceptible when wearing the shoes, so on the off chance that you like Torin running shoes, the IQs will feel like your most loved combine. Likewise, the IQ's batteries can be supplanted, so you don't need to purchase a radical new match of shoes when they kick the bucket. Altra gauges the batteries will last 80 to 100 hours. The Torin shoes include a 28mm stack stature and A-Bound padding, which is Altra's restrictive EVA-mix that should skip back more effortlessly than general EVA padding. This mix ought to create a smoother run, and it additionally profits by the Zero Drop stage and Foot Shape toe box. I was uneasy about the Foot Shape toe box at first. It not just looks unique in relation to my standard running shoes, with an external bend like that of the highest point of your foot, yet it likewise positions my feet distinctively inside the shoes. Be that as it may, I effectively adjusted to wearing an alternate style of running shoe, and the Zero Drop stage was an agreeable change of pace for me. By and large, I just required a run or two for my feet to sink into the shoes. The greatest distinction between the Torin IQ shoes and Under Armor's $150 Gemini 2 keen tennis shoes is that Altra concentrates on instructing. Under Armor's shoes simply track runs utilizing MapMyRun (one of the organization's numerous applications) and your telephone's GPS. MapMyRun likewise has an instructing highlight you can turn on, however it's not as complete as Altra's. The full-length sensors in the Torin IQ tennis shoes catch things like landing zone and effect rate that the Gemini tennis shoes can't. You'd use Under Armor's shoes to accomplish separation or time objectives, yet you'd utilize Altra's shoes to figure out how your feet move and hit the ground while you're running. You can utilize those information focuses to settle any issues related with that.Features Rather than running with something on your wrist or around your trunk, the Torin IQ shoes supplant your normal running shoes and makes following information more advantageous. Having this innovation supplant something you were at that point going to wear while practicing makes them a simple substitution and less demanding to keep on wearing after some time (dissimilar to a wristband, running shoes aren't something you're probably going to overlook before taking off on the trail). Begin a keep running by squeezing the Go catch on the New Run page in the Altra IQ application. From that point forward, your work is done—run regularly and the shoes will track frame, remove, pace, rhythm, and the sky is the limit from there. You can tune in to music while you run, and the voice mentor will toll in every so often to give you pointers on the most proficient method to run better. We'll talk about the adaptable settings in the application area, however you can pick how frequently you need the mentor to talk. That guarantees you won't be intruded on like clockwork like you now and again can be while utilizing the $99 Lumo Run tracker. I set my mentor to give me exhortation about my frame at regular intervals, and, similar to precision, I got some direction at these intervals. In expansion to the voice mentor, the Altra IQ application can remain open on your cell phone, because of a setting you can swing on to keep the screen from nodding off. You can look at landing zone, rhythm, contact time, and effect rate details continuously. The application indicates how you're running at the time, while the voice mentor should give you pointers to improve your future running. My voice mentor talked up with non specific exhortation on the most proficient method to settle my stance ("Imagine being pulled by a string tied around your midsection") and how to deal with different parts of my body ("Relax your hands as though you're clutching a potato chip—make certain not to break it"). When all is said in done, continuous criticism like this has helped me change my running style before. While Altra's voice mentor isn't in the same class as Lumo Run's mentor, the impact was comparative. In the wake of hearing a similar exhortation every day, I in the end grabbed a couple better running propensities. I react preferable to criticism mid-keep running over to input appeared toward the finish of a finished run—the counsel is more significant that way. Be more valuable, mentor By and large, I wish the voice mentor was more particular with its mid-exercise counsel. The principle details the Torin IQ shoes track about your running style are landing zone, affect rate, and ground contact time. I needed more particular tips on the most proficient method to enhance each of those angles. Based on my aggregated information toward the finish of each run, my arrival zone was quite often legitimately amidst the foot, as I abstained from hitting the ground with my toes or heels first. That is one of the principal things I found out about running when I began doing as such more frequently. Prior to that, I would hit the ground with my heels first and wind up with sore, compacted knees. The zone I could enhance the most is effect rate since I'm not the most light-on-my-feet runner. A few times, the voice mentor instructed me to "run all the more unobtrusively," which basically intends to be more careful about how hard my feet hit the ground with each strike. Doing as such helped me turn into a milder runner, as well as helped me increment my rhythm. Running with a speedier rhythm is something I centered around while trying out the Lumo Run module, and, while both it and the Torin IQ shoes helped, running with a quicker rhythm is a hard propensity to get for the whole deal. As irritating as they were, I favored Lumo Run's perceptible tones revealing to me each time my rhythm moderated and I wasn't meeting the objective strides every moment that the gadget alloted. The Altra application discloses to you generally what number of steps every moment you ought to take, yet it doesn't right you on the off chance that you back off. This is the means by which that adaptable interim setting reverse discharges: while knowing your music won't be intruded on consistently is decent, you'll additionally just be told at regular intervals on the off chance that you could enhance something about your running style. At the finish of every session, your information is totaled onto a solitary page in the application with time, rhythm, normal pace, and separation at the top. Two foot maps on the page demonstrate the rate of time you arrived on various parts of your feet and the normal effect rate per foot. The issue is that these numbers aren't set into any unique situation—they're quite recently siphoned onto a page in the application with no genuine method for translating them. Since the application doesn't give you any objectives in view of your first run, and you can't include objectives of your own, evaluating how much better of a runner you've turned out to be after some time is hard. You can't take a gander at the details from two already recorded runs one next to the other to decipher your advance all alone. Like Lumo Run, the Torin IQ's separation counts aren't precise when you're running on a treadmill. Lamentably, you can't alter the post-run details either, so you can't physically enter the separation you ran. There's additionally no choice to utilize your cell phone's GPS to delineate running course, which appears like a missed open door for keen running shoes. Lumo Run gives you a chance to do that as only a sensor cut to the versatile of your belt, and utilizing GPS would likely help the Torin IQ shoes record more exact separation and pace information amid open air runs.Altra IQ application The Alta IQ application for Android and iOS is the manner by which you begin following a run. I wish the shoes could naturally know when you've been running or strolling for some time and begin recording. In any case, that is an element I've just found in wearables like the Fitbit Alta HR and the Garmin Vivosmart 3. The Altra IQ application is very insignificant: its unimportant four pages are Run History, New Run, Help, and Settings. Run History demonstrates a rundown of every one of your runs recorded through the application, highlighting span, rhythm, normal pace, and separation. This is the place I see a missed chance to contrast past running details with gather how much advance you've made up until this point. You can just view one run's details at once, and it'll take some forward and backward tapping in the application to see even how your effect rate enhanced over your past couple of spared runs. The New Run page is the place you'll associate your shoes by means of Bluetooth and begin recording a movement. The underlying setup of the shoes has you keep running set up with the shoes on or slap the soles together to "wake" them up. Once the application sets with the privilege and left shoes, it'll be snappier and simpler for them to interface before each run. The setup procedure took me a couple of minutes, yet associating the shoes before a run took, at most, 30 seconds of running or strolling set up. Before you begin the clock, you'll need to investigate the run settings page by squeezing the rigging symbol at the screen's base left corner. This is the place you can change three major settings.

Between hope and despair
Tumblr media
I run on a treadmill using the Ifit training program. It allows you to walk or run all over the world with a trainer on your screen. I love it! Recently, my favorite trainer Tommy Rivers has been struck with cancer. He is a fairly young man. It’s a tragic story. Will he die? Time will tell but it does not look great for him. Here is the deal. His wife has been blogging a few thoughts on the struggle between hope and reality. She wants him to live. Several times this wife mentions statistics and numbers. They are grating on her hope. She and her husband are living a life between hope and despair.
To be honest, my wife and I could have lived in that place. She went through cancer. I will admit that her stats and numbers have been good all along. Her odds of winning were great. She did win. There was a lose of breasts. A lost of dignity. A lost of hair and body function. It would have been easy to abandon hope and go somewhere between hope and despair. Yet, we made a choice to believe. To believe that God would find a way. I would even say that science would find a way. For the most part we chose to live in hope.
What would happen if you lived between hope and despair? One of them needs to win. You can’t stay in the middle. If hope wins then I guess you got healed. If despair wins then I guess you died. What is the difference of living in hope? Hope looks for answers. Hope never gives up. This hope believes that God will find a way. Now, to be fair, God just might be giving your life a way home to him. Why are we blaming God if we die of cancer but not if we die of old age? Can’t he save both? That is the crux of it. Old age death seems fair. Cancer does not. Yet, Christians hold hope that there is more after death. Just ceasing to exist seems not fair too.
What does God have to say? Romans 5:2-5 “through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God. 3 Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4 perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.”
When you climb Mt Everest do you hope you will make it? Do you hope to win the Superbowl? This year Tom Brady texted his team mates telling them they will win. He did not hope they would win. He believed in the prize. Why has this guy won 7 titles? He wanted the trophy more than just being in the game. God is that way too. Those verses above are pointing forward. They want to build character, hope, and perseverance. They trust in God and science to give you the best shot at winning. To just be in the life game? Heavens no, it’s to win!
Though this cancer experience I have seen two things happened. It was not my cancer but I had a front row seat. She held hope but was sitting somewhere between that and despair. It was my job to text her over and over that we will win. This world can be a terrible place at times. People die for all kinds of reasons. Life is cut short all the time. Finding yourself in heaven living within eternal life is not that bad. You win! Being healed so that you can fight another day here is a win too. What is not a win is living in-between.
Imagine yourself believing that you will die sooner than you thought. Yet, you believed that your life is over. You cease to exist. If there is a God you can hope for more life in existence. If there is no God then the cold dark ground or a super-hot furnace is all you get. Despair says you will meet that fate sooner or later but you will meet it. That hope is absolute. In the Christian world there is a different hope. It’s either the loving arms of God or the super-hot hell. They say that a positive outlook helps people heal. Hope is good medicine. I have to ask you. Would you rather fear death or hope for life? People say that hope in God is dilutional. Is standing between hope and despair any better? Where is the hope in that?
