We're doing The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo this month for our book club, and I'm sure there will be a lot of discussion about how problematic the lesbian character is and I kind of want to ask "ok so how many of you are bisexual?" *sees raises hand* "ok now how many of you have dated exclusively men and never tried to seriously pursue women?" just to create drama but they would not see the point even if I served it to them in a platter like that so I'll try to be nice and keep my mouth shut.

if hunter had gotten together with a guy instead of willow i can guarantee you there would be virtually no hate compared to how much of it huntlow is getting in the fandom i'm sure of it. everyone makes up all different reasons why they hate it, some ppl r super deadset on their aroace hunter headcannons, some make up some weird ableist stuff like ''he's too traumatized to be in a relationship' or ''doesn't know what a crush is'', some people made up that huntlow is toxic and abusive (?literally what and how) but if hunter had gotten together with edric for example then no one would be screaming abt how it's too early for him or it's not developed enough or how him being bi goes against their headcannon so they're gonna ignore it, even if it was way less developed than huntlow was or happened even quicker. no one would be invalidating his sexuality either (and i say this as an aro ace person. stop doing that.) hell, many ppl who dislike huntlow because they apparently ''weren't developed or written well enough'' somehow ship hunter with edric despite them literally speaking to each other once.
ppl r allowed to have preference and dislike canon ships ( in fact u even can do it without making up moral reasons for it like you can just say you don't vibe with a ship instead of trying to come up with 100 ways in which huntlow somehow is objectively bad or problematic or badly written or wtv) or ship crackships ofc, i'm not bashing huntric here,, but there's definitely a double standard. and even thoguh people hate hearing it, some of it does come from biphobia and the fact that many ppl in fandom circles immediately see m/f couples as bad and boring even if they're made up of 2 queer ppl, completely ignoring their actual dynamic or other representation the ship gives ppl. and some of the hate even has hidden misogyny or fatphobia or mlm fetishism in there too. many ppl also just literally hate or don't care at all abt willow (can often be for reasons listed above). its a complicated subject with a lot of nuances so it's impossible to break it down in a quick ask but that's the gist.
again, because some ppl r gonna misunderstand on purpose, i'm not saying that everyone who dislikes huntlow dislikes it because of this reason, just that in some cases there is some subconscious bias and hypocrisy there.

There's much going on in the scene where Simon basically expresses his disinterest in labeling himself (outside of "baz-sexual" lol which sounds funny but that's Simon genuinely communicating something with the vocabulary he has available). I think the funniest thing though is that he's basically like "I don't know shit but let me tell you nothing about my relationship with Agatha can be used to say I'm bisexual, especially not sex". And by funny I mean kinda sad and a bit concerning actually.
On a more serious note, I think it's really interesting to see how Simon reacts to different labels. He never really wonders whether he's bisexual, his struggles with attempting to define identity are entirely centered on his feelings for Baz. He even finds a way to, I kid you not, make female boobs about Baz. Gay and Baz-sexual are the only labels he wrestles with, and even gay is something he considers because Baz is a man. It's also interesting that this doesn't change even when presented with the possibility that bisexuality could be a word that describes his experiences.
Tumblr media
I think so much is encapsulated here. First of all, Simon does struggle with internalized homophobia (that hesitation before the whole man and boy exchange), and we see him trying to move past that in the third book (Baz noting he gets off with public displays of affection despite "worrying about looking gay" and how that's probably connected, the "gay at ikea" scene). But I don't think he struggles with internalized biphobia–it's just not even on his radar at all. Simon can be very quick at solving things once he has enough information, and I doubt he needed any time to realize why his boyfriend, who knows he has an ex-girlfriend, might think he's bisexual. And he's put off by the idea. Look at that No being italicized for emphasis. He has such a strong rejection of being labeled as bisexual, and I think this is all about him rejecting the idea of his past relationship with Agatha being understood as romantic love and sexual attraction, even before he finally processes and voices that "it was all just going through the motions, I'm not sure I even felt anything at all".
Worth noting that he's in agreement with Agatha on this. She was there, and in hindsight, she doesn't think the guy was ever into her (a feeling she already manifest when breaking up with him, when she's describing their relationship as feeling non-existent, and still feeling unwanted after being together for 3 years)
Tumblr media
She equates this to the way Baz, known homosexual, was never into her either.
Tumblr media
Worth noting too that the label conversation is at the beginning of the chapter that has Simon dragging himself kicking and screaming (literally) through the realization that he was never really into Agatha in that way, he just assumed that must be it while they were dating, ignoring anything that indicated otherwise. But Simon really had to be aware of this on some level that he just wasn't acknowledging for him to be able to reach some answers when Baz's questions make him look back. Again, the rejection of seeing his past relationship with Agatha as romantic love/attraction had to be there on a subconscious level for him to have the instinct to be put off by being labeled in this way because of it.
In comparison, he's much more nuanced and complicated about gay as a label. He's not prepared to think about it at the beginning, but it's something he keeps coming back to. He says he's not gay "immediately" here but at the end of the chapter he goes "maybe this makes me gay, or maybe this just makes me yours". And this is all because of his feelings for Baz. He's not ever like "I'm into dudes in general so I reckon that makes me gay". The questioning is always in the line of "the love of my life is a man, does that make me gay?" and he brings up the possibility of only being into Baz more than once... which takes me to Baz going "if he's not gay or bi what does that leave? straight is certainly not an option" and well! It leaves the ace spectrum, for instance, my good guy.
Tumblr media
I also think Simon going "I never thought I was straight, I never thought about my sexuality at all" is interesting, because even though it aligns with how he lived for so long not really thinking, part of being allosexual is knowing instinctively when you're experiencing attraction too, and it's an acespec experience to need forever to decide if you're feeling attracted to strangers. And Simon really can't offer examples of him feeling attraction that doesn't involve Baz! In fact, he says it to himself: he has only ever wanted Baz, and he's thinking this in the context of thinking about sex.
In short: everything about Simon rejecting bisexuality is about him rejecting the idea that he felt romantic love/attraction for Agatha, and everything about him wrestling with the gay label is centered on his feelings for Baz.

Anon again: Thank you!! I appreciate you taking the time to answer me because I am kind of active in the community but very very new. I did know your opinions but being new I just wanted to know whether those recent posts held any weight. I want to be socially responsible with my media consumption and I was worried there was something I was missing, given I have seen specific call outs for certain cast members (Travis, Laura, Sam, and Liam) recently. Thanks again!!
Anon pt2: you don’t have to post this but for context the call out posts were as follows: Travis actively supports the military, Laura voiced a black character?, Sam did brown face??, and Liam is fake woke/virtual signaling (or something along those lines). Obviously I can find out information about this for myself but I have seen more anti-CR stuff lately which prompted my ask.
As with everything, I suggest you do your own reading on those topics, and any topic that comes up in regards to the media you watch. Below is simply my opinion. Note: this gets long.
Travis does support the military - but not as an institution. He has family in the military. He supports the soldiers. He works with Operation Supply Drop and I’d encourage you to look into OSD specifically. Whether you agree with the idea that we should even have a military or not, you cannot deny that our veterans and soldiers are given the short end of the stick. We cannot just abandon them because helping them might be viewed as giving money to the military. I have so many military vets in my disability groups. The VA is awful because it has no funding (I know good people who work at the VA too, but they just cannot help everyone like they’d want to). Programs like OSD are genuinely helpful to a lot of hurting folk and the people who shit on Travis and CR for promoting and helping them out have clearly never actually sat down and talked to a vet or a soldier before.
Laura and many many other voice actors have voiced people of color in various shows. Yes, this is a legit problem. However, obviously as with most things, the problem is nuanced. The fault mainly lies with the VO industry as a whole, in that actors actually have very little control over what they do. There was a whole strike about this very topic (though the strike covered other issues in the industry as well). In the case of Laura, for instance, she was never told what her character would look like until after the fact. And that is super common in the industry. One of the things they tried to get in the strike was more transparency so that actors could make the decisions themselves whether to voice characters or not - not just based on race or culture but also based on type of work (stressful screaming vs chill dialogue) and whether the content of the game itself was something they wanted their name attached to.
Sam’s blackface scandal is extremely old news. That’s not to say it isn’t important to note, and in fact Sam made a point to note it again back in 2018. I know people who can’t watch CR because of it, even after his apology, and that’s fine because its not my place to judge others for how they react to that kind of thing. However I know a lot of people who read his apology and the circumstances surrounding it and decided to forgive. To some people, the fact that he was asked to do so by will.i.am changes the situation. To others, it doesn’t. To some the fact that he apologized and has clearly worked to improve his behavior matters, to others it doesn’t. You have to decide that for yourself. You can read Sam’s letter HERE.
Now. Regarding Liam. * sigh * I think, and again this is my opinion, that you cannot proclaim someone you do not know as ‘fake woke.’ I think there are parts of this fandom that have it out for Liam because of a whole bunch of gross reasons, many of which I’ve spoken about before. He is sensitive and a man - that makes people uncomfy. He plays a lot of women characters and tends to embody them in both personality and body language - that makes people uncomfy. He fully embraces the bi energy (this is not to say whether he himself is or not) - that makes a lot of people uncomfy (and angry). He loves theatre and loves to explore the human condition, warts and all - that makes people super uncomfy. Now. There are people who thinks he’s homophobic. Do you know why? Its because his bi character ended up with a woman instead of a man. That is biphobia, no matter how they twist it. Bi people being “allowed” to be bi and not ‘pick the right side’ in the LG (not BT, lets be real) community IS revolutionary because its so very hated.
Another reason they say he’s homophobic is because of the jokes he is often involved in - some gay men in the fandom believe that joking about sex is him ‘making fun’ of gay relationships. As a bi enby, I disagree, and I read many of the jokes he himself makes as the kind of humor I use among my own friends. I think there is a definite disconnect between bi vs LG humor and I’m not entirely sure who would be considered in the ‘right’ on that. However, when LG people in the fandom claim that he cannot talk about gay relationships because he is cishet? They cannot know that. That is an assumption they are making. When LG fans say that he alone is responsible for this issue and not -literally every single member of CR- ? I have to question whether its really the issue and not just that they still hate Liam for deigning to make a bi character bi instead of gay.
Another thing re: Liam. Aside from Marisha, he is the one I see the most hate about. People on Twitter and Tumblr both have legit uttered death threats about him if he doesn’t do exactly what they want his characters to do in the game. Usually this is about shipping. I have seen people claim that they WISH he was ‘like vic mignogna’ so they’d have a reason to hate him more. I’ve seen a certain group of people and one in particular say they have ‘dirt’ on him but refuse to say what the dirt is - and yet continually bring up that it exists, but that they just cannot say. Why would you incessantly bring up information you possess just to say that you cannot divulge such information?
Legit issues about CR that is attached to Liam is the whitewashing issue. Some say that only Liam is responsible here because he controls all the art. I would say that we actually don’t know that for sure. He is ‘Art Dad’ and clearly has some pull. I do think that CR should address this issue, but I’m not sure they can legally do what the fandom wants them to do, which is “call-out” artists by name and denounce them. Now, this too is more nuanced than the fandom makes out because its often way more about colorism vs whitewashing. Many people do not draw Beau as white, but they do draw her as much lighter skin tones than her original art. Colorism is a real problem, but white allies tend to go about talking about it wrong or making smaller things a bigger deal when POC would really rather talk about something more important to them. It was these same white allies that tore Mica Burton apart on Twitter because she liked and enjoyed a drawing of Reani, her own character, that was a few shades lighter than the drawing she herself had brought in, even after she had said that she appreciated the variety of skin tones due to seeing herself in each of them. On the topic of whitewashing/colorism in the fandom, I personally tend to wait to hear from POC over the masses of white allies.
The CR fandom is very big for a niche thing like DnD. As such, there are many many corners of the fandom that can get really jaded, really dark, and really up their own ass in regards to the discourse. There are legitimate issues in the fandom and with CR as a whole. Nothing is perfect, nothing ever will be perfect, and people should absolutely do what they can to do better and to ask their media to do better. That being said, there are also people who think that if you don’t do something exactly like they want, then you’re Problematic by default. There are also members of this fandom who have an active vendetta against certain cast members and will use any opportunity to co-opt legit issues in order to shore up their false arguments. These people are only using the real issues and it becomes clear pretty quickly that they don’t actually give a shit about the people they say they are trying to speak up for.
There is also some fandom drama that has occurred ONLY in fandom and has absolutely nothing to do with CR other than the fact that the people involved happen to be CR fans. Certain people in the fandom think that CR should arbitrate this issue and involve themselves, call out the individuals responsible, etc. This is, I believe, a GROSS misconception of what CR’s role is and asking way too much of a source of entertainment. The fact that CR has not involved themselves in this issue has led certain members of this fandom to claim that CR is homophobic. I would caution that most callouts of CR as homophobic are directly linked to this first issue, and also a callback to the Vaxleth drama from campaign one, and is incontrovertibly tied to bi and enby-phobia and a seriously sick misunderstanding of the responsibilities a show has versus the responsibility individuals have as viewers of said show.
That’s it for now. I could go way more in depth on this problems, but I’m tired of typing. Suffice it to say, its easy to make a list of things Problematic with CR, but once you actually delve into each topic hopefully you’ll realize how complicated and filled with nuance and Different Opinions going on back from the first episode of Campaign One... Listing problems without actually addressing them head-on isn’t a good way to deal with the problems that are true anyway, let alone tell them from the false ones.

Okay so... I'm making another post again about this (CW for mentions of Biphobia and transphobia):
Tumblr media
Only it's not ABOUT this but it's about what I as a queer ACTUALLY care about in terms of rep and such. Real quick I will say that as much I do agree with SOME of these being bad fancanons for being negative/stereotypical whatever I ALSO think claiming some of these as outright harmful is a bit much & grasping at straws a bit.
Anyway moving on, right now I'm seeing specific Lesbians are harassing the writer of the new Harley Quinn Comic eat, bang, kill tour because they wrote her as Bisexual... not a decision the writer made herself but something that was WRITTEN into the original show that the comic is following.
Like... I'm sorry but first things first based on facts if you know anything about Poison ivy before recent depictions she has been heavily represented/written/depicted as straight, I don't believe if she's ever 100% stated as such but... come on, no straight people were back then, media still doesn't feel the need to state characters as hetero because our society very much does the whole "assumed straight unless stated otherwise." And Poison ivy, in certain depictions ive seen at least, comes off VERY much as for the male gaze and I know lesbians are used this way often BUT this isn't as often in certain media like comics (or wasn't common) where they usually would prefer them be open to men so the demographic they care about can fantasize about being with the character.
Second, this IS definitely being fueled by racism since the writer is Black woman (not mention also queer & disabled) and so far the people responding have been white or at least one of the main ones is.
Third, this is just another one those things that to me REALLY shows how Biphobic certain parts of the Lesbian community can get.
Like I'm sorry, what I'm about to type of probably going make some upset and scream "lesbophobia" but I HAVE to share because I can't be the only one who feels this way... I feel wary around Lesbians online sometimes, not because of any stereotypes but because I've SEEN how openly, some Ive followed even in the past, are to complain about us (Bi+) people and openly explain how they DONT want to share spaces with Bi woman. Look I get wanting to hangout with people just like you, BUT its weird how quickly some Lesbians are to want to discard us and not relate to us because we possibly may like, talk about, be in relationships with men and it's even MORE weird that that's a determent to y'all even though these same types of lesbians make their whole identity/community dependant on men (I'm sorry but even if it's specifically about hating men ur still at the end of the day... making it seem like ur sexuality/community hinges on men) and not you know... loving woman.
I've seen some Lesbians complain about how they need Lesbian ('only' heavily implied) bars and how its annoying that bi woman go to them. And countless of stories of Bi woman being shunned, turned down for being Bi, no I'm not saying that is so awful Lesbians don't want to "sleep" with us (why the parentheses? eh just that I'm not going to assume ALL anyone wants to do after meeting in a bar is to fuck it's probably a good chunk of the time but not 100%) I'm saying it's pretty Biphobic, bigoted, etc to turn someone down JUST for being Bi, you obviously only have a problem with Bi people being Bi.
And also yes we do get hurt because duh its Biphobia but we also are ultimately glad to know because we wouldn't want to sleep with Biphobic people anyway we just want y'all to acknowledge it for what it is, a bigoted prejudice, no not a boundary but a Biphobic preference. I know a lot won't get that and scream "it's a boundary, it's a boundary!" and I don't know if they do this to Bi woman who say it but if this was about Trans woman they would also add "you just want to rape, coerce, harass Lesbians into sleeping with you" & usually paired with plenty of misgendering. I feel like I have seen it but only more so in terms of gold star lesbian rhetoric instead of terf rhetoric.
Either way, it just kind of sad, frustrating and annoying that Bi+, trans, etc can't DARE to bring this stuff up without being called Lesbophobic (just using this term would get me harassed & called a bigot on Twitter because it "contains a slur") because we SHOULD be allowed to bring up stuff that hurts us but we can't because LGBTQIA people seem to have this unspoken hierarchy of who gets cared about, believed, listened to first and it's definitely seems based on the order of the letters in the alphabet soup.
.
.
.
But anyway yeah, I have a hard time taking the post I shared an image of above seriously when stuff like I wrote above is going on. Yes I do think being critical of fandom in terms of bigotry is important, ESPECIALLY racism because that honestly is one of the BIGGEST problems since fandom is dominated mostly by white people (specifically women & queer people) however... I don't think the above is a decent example of that, it condenses the issues and leaves out so much needed nuance and such (yes this is cropped so it doesn't include some of the other additions to it but tbf from what I remember it didn't really add nuance, just clarifyed what the first post was doing).
For example, a Bi person headcanoning a character Bi a majority of the time should not be considered Biphobic, even if the character is a negative stereotype PLENTY of people do this as a way to reclaim the character from the bigotry that was written with it. Or the above, if someone hc's a character who is a badass as Bi there shouldn't be an issue. Now if a Bi person hc's others like the above there MIGHT be an issue then. Also, not to mention that identities intersect, if a pan ace person want to hc certain characters a certain way that could be stereotypical should we label them xphobic regardless of their identify?
I just think the original post it too vague and paints all fandom hc the same regardless of who is making them and like I said before, while this can be a problem I have more of an issue with this new trend of shutting down others hc because others claim the character even though the characters specific id is never said & thus should be open to anyone (example: Lesbians claiming its bigoted or get upset at others for hc a character as Bi that they hc as Lesbian even though the character was originally written straight or is very heavily straight coded and/or had relationships with men). Also fandoms erasing characters identities that are outright stated or implied is ALSO a huge thing I find to be more of a problem then the above post (examples: Luz Noceda from Owl house is stated by the creator as being Bi but people are calling her/them (her & her girlfriend) lesbians; another one that I feel is SORT of a problem but I also can't 100% condemn people who do this because the show doesn't help with continuing to be vague about it is Bob Belcher & him being hinted at being Bi but is erased by straight and gay(LG) fans as being straight).
Also I don't apologize for all of my examples being about Bi people, biphobia, etc because I am Bi so that is what I know and experience first and foremost!

Season 1 Episode 5: Wither Into the Truth [Part One]
Oop someone is screaming
Is Beatrix being tortued???
That's a child oh my god Dowling that is a CHILD you CAN'T TORTURE A CHILD
Silva side eying her like "uhhhh... Fara... that- that's a child" he is NOT down with torture. I acc love how he's been written
"It's painless" SHE'S SCREAMING. I'm with Sword Dad, Fara you need to STOP
I do actually love Fara's character though she's so interesting
I also ADORE Beatrix
Sword Dad looked so conflicted lmao
Ew it's Dane
Do NOT trust Dane. I have no real basis for this I just... don't like him
Who would win? Bloom and Sky or one Fake Crispy Lad
Why is Bloom cauterising a wound the size of a paper cut?? Bro that'd hurt MORE and also... leave a scar??
So they actively pair up a Specialist and a fairy, right? And they're talking about it like a permanent pair because they need to learn to trust each other. So why the fuck is Sky, top of his SECOND YEAR CLASS, with the first year changeling that can't control her magic?? Even IF it's so he can keep tabs on her, as per Silva's orders, why is no one questioning that??? Why isn't BLOOM questioning that????? Ravenclaw my ass this bitch is a full blooded Gryffindor
What was with that look Aisha gave her?? Full blown yikes vibes
WHAT is FakeMusa wearing
So you're telling me that FakeMusa is the ONLY empath available for Dowling to use?? Awfully conveniant and unexplained plot point but tbh, not even close to the worst written thing here
Is Riven being nice???
WHY IS DANE BEING MORE OF A DICK THAN RIVEN
Don't you fucking DARE pair up Terra and Riven
Since when were Dane and Beatrix a thing???
"He's still got a hard-on for her. Like a weird, gay hard-on" I don't... I don't even have the WORDS to describe the fucking biphobia in this show
At least Sky's pointing out the OBVIOUS pairing of him and Bloom. Also Silva "no one's questioned it" I FUCKING HAVE
Sky looks like such a puppy he feels so bad oh no
Sad Sword Dad flashbacks??
Oh shit this is gonna be Sky's dad's death isn't it
Oh so Sky's dad was a DICK and Silva has always been his real dad
...after having typed that, and having seen the way this show handles non biological relationships, imma say Silva is Sky's bio-dad
Dead Crispy Boy
WHY THE FUCK DID YOU SPIT ON IT
Right so Sky's dad was, in fact, a Grade A Douche
Wayo wassup Roz
Oh she's ALSO a bit of a dick
Bro don't blame the kids you're the one who eased off their training
Burned Ones are clearly people like come on...
Imma say the Burned Ones were a failed experiment for the Solarian Army (and that perhaps Bloom's town was the source which is why it had to be destroyed)
The Solarians have DIPPED
Why does Terra care you ALL CLEARLY HATED STELLA
Also imagine the lack of creativity to have the magical realms use earth's social media
Why does Terra WANT to be insulted??? WHY WOULD SHE MISS HER BULLY THAT'S NOT HOW PEOPLE WORK
A Slytherclaw would be a better liar but go off I guess
"I mean, I get it; who wants to deal with nuance?" Not the bloody writer that's for sure
Whom the fuck raised Beatrix??? Is there a weird, Rosalind-adoring cult out there because, if so, I feel that's a little bit BLOODY IMPORTANT
Love that you're giving the fire fairy a book to charge with her magic
Also why are the only guards of the powerful murderess two children?? Two first year children, no less
"Ancient Geometry" ah yes, the secret and evil artifact, containing the arcane knowledge of... *checks notes* old shapes
Can Musa and Pebble PLEASE have a conversation
Also if y'all wanna hook up... maybe go back to Pebble's room and not the one Musa shares with Terra, his literal sister??
Musa backstory???
Oh my god they're ACTUALLY having a conversation
Nope never mind they're back to fucking
...in Stella's room lmao
DON'T LIKE THAT THE PLANT IS MOVING ON ITS OWN
Lmao I love that Stella's just vibing and breaking Terra's plants
Also glad we're getting some Stella and Musa content because they've like, literally never spoken
Sorry are we saying she was only actually gone for like three days and has just been vibing invisibly for the rest of the week because that's OBJECTIVELY hilarious (but also, again, shit writing)
Ah the artifact was IN the book this makes a lot more sense than Bloom imbuing ancient geometry with her fire magic
Also why IS the Stone Circle important?? They keep specifying it is but not why
I'm with Bloom she is PERFECTLY within her rights to be pissed at Sky
Sky I understand why you did what you did but you must understand that her trusting you right now is UNLIKELY
Oh nvm she's just telling him anyway. We love this ~realistic writing~
Ah see the troops looking for Stella makes a lot more sense
Queen LED is right - you have half-trained children to defend you! That is JUST the same as soldiers
Are we getting the actual Ricky story?
I feel really bad for Stella but also it's been an in-universe week and her character has done a full 180. This is NOT the same girl who would send Bloom out with the ring or teach Bloom with the exact same methods that made her lose control what the fuck
There has literally been 0 progression come ON

Someone I'm on committee with just posted an article he wrote about biphobia, he's a really nice guy and I like him a lot and some of his article had some completely valid points about biphobia but Jesus Christ the article made me so angry he called gay and lesbian people monosexuals, he also said something alluding to it being more palatable to be a "monosexual" (although that was also in the context of the overall predominance of white cis LGB people in the community) I want to comment on the article but also I don't want to upset him bc he is really nice but honestly he upset me!! I'm so angry I feel like my blood is boiling!! I'm also feeling quite distrustful now, how many other people I'm friends with think that me being a lesbian is inherently restrictive and oppressive?? I'm so fucking angry!!!!!!!!!!!!! He also said that "there is a greater understanding of gender not necessarily meaning on each kind of body or another, it kind of breaks down concepts of monosexuality" WHAT ABOUT TRANS LESBIANS WHAT ABOUT NON BINARY LESBIANS WHAT ABOUT TRANS GAY MEN WHAT ABOUT NON BINARY GAY PEOPLE!!!! THESE PEOPLE EXIST!!!! Being a lesbian means I am attracted to women and women aligned people!!!!!!! It doesn't mean I am attracted to "the female body"!!!!!!! I AM NOT ATTRACTED TO VAGINAS I AM ATTRACTED TO WOMEN, TRANS WOMEN ARE NOT MEN THEY ARE NOT ALIGNED WITH MANHOOD!!! BEING A LESBIAN IS NOT RESTICTIVE OR LIMITING I WILL NOT FEEL BAD ABOUT NOT BEING ATTRACTED TO MEN !!! I am not restrictive because I am not sexually fluid!!!! I have never liked men and I never will!!! I'm so angry!!!!! I think I might try to talk to him about it in person at some point !! Im so tempted to comment on the article but I know that that will only lead to miscommunication and I need to cool off a bit I don't want to jump down his throat but OH MY GOD DONT CALL ME MONOSEXUAL DONT ALIGN ME WITH MY OPRESSORS!!!!!!! JUST SAY GAY AND LESBIAN ITS NIT THAT FUCKING HARD!!!!! GAY AND LESBIAN PEOPLE ARE NOT IN ANY WAY LIKE HETEROSEXUAL WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK!!!! Sometimes I think people need to just stop and think to see if they actually know what the fuck they are talking about, the lesbian identity is so much more nuanced that non lesbians make it out to be and think that it is, I know that I could never talk about gay, bisexual or trans issues bc I know that I am not those things and therefore I don't fully understand their identities!! I feel like you can't fully appreciate how deep the meanings of identities are unless you identify as said thing!!! I want this all to be worded better but I'm angry and incoherent and it's the best I can do now I'm going to go and try to calm down and not scream at him when I see him next
