Period drama makers still think that the show must be “sexy” to make people like watching it, and they don’t mind to sacrifice the whole Elizabeth I’s character to it. Very well, but then nothing is sexier that Mary/Pedro who merely look at / talk to each other, or Mary/Somerset who barely exchange glances now and then and speak about each other only to the third parties (and yes it looks intelligent so far)
