what is ur opinion on gregory/christophe/damien!! a trio with unlimited potential for chaos

BIG BIG FAN OF THIS!! I’ll admit, Damien/Gregory on its own i go back and forth and enjoying… the two of them just feel like they’d be rather snarky/passive aggressive with each other 😅 which would make for some very fun quips back and forth but maybe not the longest lasting relationship. They just both love being the center of attention so much and hate to share the spotlight, ya know? tbh i feel similarly about kygory within a gregstophlovski context too lol

BUT for gregstophien, i think Christophe acts as a wonderful mediator between Gregory and Damien bc Christophe has a solid “no bullshit” meter and he’s not afraid to call out either of them if they get too snippy with each other. And they love Christophe enough to listen and get along, despite their myriad of differences. Gregory in particular i think would struggle a bit due to his devotion to God and Christophe and Damien’s combined animosity towards God, but maybe they could sway him! Or maybe he’d just grow to accept that as part of who they are.

Outside of that, i think they’d all set the world on fire together! Maybe literally! Gregory obviously has big political ambitions (one of the core traits of his character), Christophe would do anything for Gregory, and Damien could be convinced he’s earning brownie points by helping to fight for human rights or just be happy to overturn systems and cause chaos. Brains, brawn, and literal fire power….. enemies would not stand a chance. Also if Damien as the son of Satan could somehow make it so Gregory and Christophe never die?? And they’re all immortal together?? I’d give it maybe 11 years before they’re running everything. It would’ve happened sooner but they took a year off for their honeymoon 🥰

YES I DO..........

i think they met in the brief time that Christophe died bc Damien was left to deal with all the new souls since his dad was getting ready to go up to earth with Saddam

since Damien is always on the move and Christophe is home schooled, they don't really have a lot of people they're close to which forces a bit of a codependency friendship early on

one time Christophe couldn't see or talk to Damien for a day so he tried to tunnel down to hell. he got pretty far, considering it's impossible without demon powers

they get together pretty early on in their lives. like, while i picture gregstophe starting to date in more of a young adult part of their life, i think damstophe would be high school sweethearts? not a very "sweetheart" vibe but... you know

i talked more about it here but they are such menaces to society... there's nothing they love more than a good bar brawl or grand arson 🥰 ideal date night

Damien lighting Christophe's cigarette with a little tiny flame and Christophe letting him have a drag is how they say "I love you"

they do still say "I love you" for real sometimes but they prefer for things between them to go unspoken but still understood (they are kings of misunderstanding and miscommunication)

Damien calls Christophe "DeLorne" even after they get married and Christophe takes Damien's last name. he tries out pet names but none ever really stick and Christophe doesn't really like "Chris" or "Tophe" which are the only nicknames one can get from his name. on VERY rare occasions, he'll call Christophe by his first name but only ever if they're alone

Christophe usually just calls Damien by his first name, but sometimes he calls him "mon amour"

they eventually settle in hell bc Christophe winds up there fairly often anyway due to his line of mercenary work (Damien keeps reviving him and his enemies are scared and confused about how he keeps coming back)

the worst fight they had was from Damien taking Christophe to see the royal hellhounds as a surprise bc he thought it would be funny. Christophe nearly killed him.

and bc i love to be self indulgent, recently my favorite thing to doodle has been fankids, in particular Damien ones bc i love demonic-y designs and I can wave away them meeting w something something demon magic... and anyway, my damstophe kid Bia is absolutely the rudest of her half siblings but i love her very much so she is forgiven <3

of my favorite Damien ships, i just think he and Christophe would both adopt the attitude of "we don't give a shit about what you do" regarding their kid (both growing up hating their single parent but not having anyone else and so. complicated feelings lol). they care about Bia but together they're very bad at parenting 😅 any morals she has were taught to her by a desperate Kenny or Gregory wanting the next ruler of hell to not be a complete brat

any miscellaneous thoughts on damien an christophe's dynamic as friends or lovers?

for sure! to me, the most defining thing about damstophe (platonic and romantic) is that they kind of encourage the worst in each other but in a really supportive and loving way? which I know sounds odd BUT STICK WITH ME HERE—

both of them at their cores believe that they cursed by the world/God to never be loved bc they are just too awful. Damien lays it out pretty plainly when he talks to Mr. Mackey, saying he thinks people don’t want to be his friend bc he’s the son of Satan, the literal Devil who will bring about doom and the end of days. Christophe also says he feels like God personally hates him and makes his life miserable, and given the fact that his mother tried yet failed to abort him and seems extremely religious, it’s not hard to guess where he gets that idea from.

what’s key here is that both of them respond to this in a very similar way: aggression. Damien sets things on fire the moment he feels even a little slighted and Christophe roughs up/yells at people (namely Stan) who don’t take him and things he finds important seriously. because of this, I think the two of them would get along famously from the very moment they meet. they both know exactly where the other is coming from and validate their reaction. instant bond in the most extreme “us against the world” mentality.

tbh this is a bit why I feel like, whether or not damstophe is endgame in their timeline (or however you wanna think of it), I always imagine Damien as being the first person Christophe opens up to emotionally. assuming Pip is not there or that he becomes a more permanent figure in Damien’s life later, i think Christophe would also be the first for Damien. they encourage and support one another— the problem is just that they are often encouraging and supporting the other to kill someone who looked at them the wrong way 😅

#this is also why I think pip and gregory do NOT really like when they hang out lol #they’ve softened the two of them so it doesn’t get THAT bad but Christophe and Damien have one (1) Boys Night™️#and have to be bailed out the next morning bc they started a bar fight that took out half a city block #they are very 😏🥰 about it while pip and gregory are 😠😔#thank u for asking anon!! they are my two fav boys so I love thinking about them in any context :3c #south park #sp headcanons #damien thorn #christophe delorne #sp damstophe #sp dristophe

I saw you mentioning Damiestophe a few times before, would you want to maybe share some more thoughts abt them?

certainly!!

damstophe (or as it is/was more commonly called, dristophe) is one of the very rarepairs i've shipped from the beginning. like, back in 2014 beginning. back then i only really liked it for angst of "what if damien and christophe had a thing and it made gregory and pip jealous and upset :0" which is certainly an angle you could approach it from still. those four characters are all very intertwined in general imo.

these days however i'm more in damstophe for the idea of like... them finding solace in the fact that they both thing themselves unlovable? christophe believes he's cursed by god (likely bc of things his mother has told him) and damien also thinks that but as the son of satan, he may actually be right. that is, they both see themselves as these monsters, menaces to society and god and the universe itself. their gut reaction is to be like "fuck you, who cares what you think? we're going to make our existence everyone's problem" but also they fear that everyone is right that they're no good and so they cling to the only other person that they feel understands.

it's incredibly clear in damien's episode that he's stuck in a cycle of "is lonely and sad" -> "gets mad about it" -> "does something scary to drive others away" -> "is sad and lonely", ad infinitum until he moves. and christophe has terrible boundaries bc he wants to connect with someone so bad, taking even the slightest bit of affection (kyle telling him to be careful) and IMMEDIATELY dumping some heavy personal shit on him. since they both respond so intensely but also so dogshit to lack of love in their life, i feel like they'd start a relationship that seems really awful and toxic at first/on the surface, but eventually they'd come to realize that the other is putting on a front just like them and they'd soften out with each other.

underrated ot4 that i think literally no one has is gregenstophien (that is to say, gregory, kenny, christophe, and damien). reasons being:

cool supernatural mercenary opportunities

literally all one on one ships/dynamics within the group are cool

gregory, christophe, and damien all need therapy and kenny is kind of THE therapist in most fics

the idea of gregory trying to instill table manners and other polite societal niceties into the other 3 and failing bc he’s outnumbered is a funny concept

boys with big hearts and a love of justice (and damien, who they’re trying so hard to make nice)

christophe is incredibly loyal which would be a comfort to the rest who definitely have abandonment/rejection issues

i love all of them and want to see them all hang out together. this is the most important reason btw.

Summary:

Every weekend, Damien is sent up to Earth to learn how to eventually take over. There he meets Christophe, a boy who hates God as much as he does. Christophe feels like his whole life is one big prank that God is pulling on him- Damien has an idea of how the two of them can get revenge.

It definitely has nothing to do with his feelings towards Christophe. Not that he has any.
