i don't know why i started thinking about this but i'm suddenly haunted by the calm and peaceful look on bela's face right when she thinks dean is about to kill her

i mean look at her. she's not scared. she's ready. she looked him right in the eyes and lied about killing her "lovely" parents for money, lied about not caring about them or him or anyone but herself. and then she closed her eyes and waited for him to pull the trigger. she *wanted* him to. because it's better than being ripped apart by hellhounds at midnight right?

I haven't watched season 3 of SPN in so long. I forgot so many things. Time is on My Side has to be peak really. The boys are absolutely gorgeous in it. So many beautiful shots of Jared that it's a banquet. Peak co-dependence, Sam willing for them to go all Sid and Nancy. Peak grossness. Bonus tied up Sam with eye close ups. And the pièce de résistance, Sam asking Dean how he's going to stop him when Dean tells him he's not letting him go off by himself. Hints of Soulless right there. We rarely saw this Sam later on after all the pile on of blame of season's 4 and 5 and the trauma of everything after that, except for Soulless. And isn't that just a bitch. Sam has to lose his beaten down soul to stand up for himself. Sigh. Season 2 tends to win polls as fandom's favorite season, but honestly, Season 3 is the gift that keeps on giving.

Rewatching Time Is on My Side

Welcome to “He's not even staying caught up on his reading: A Supernatural Rewatch Blog” with Lor and Mace!

  Up today, s3e15: Time is on My Side.

    Dean's running out of time and Sam's getting desperate to save him, so Sam convinces his brother to head to Ohio to investigate cases of folks getting abducted and then waking up without certain organs. Secretly Sam suspects it's the reappearance of a zombie-like doctor their father hunted years ago, and he wants to learn the dude's secret to long life. Turns out it comes with a heavy price that Dean refuses to pay. Cue the gross-out organ harvesting scenes and fraught boys.

3x15 Time On My Side where Dean refuses to drink the immortality potion to get out of his deal because he'd "rather go to hell thn become a monster" would be soooooo much better if Gordon was still alive and living as a vampire. Either he's leaning into the vamp thing and Dean has more reason to refuse, or he doesn't drink blood and Sam has more arguments pro. up the stakes of the conflict!!! in my head he's alive.

I'm on S3 x 15, you know when we met Rufus (🖤) and discover the story of Bella.

Can we just talk about the fucking scene ? When young Bella cry and his dad(? Probably) enter the room and just shut it ? You know he's gonna do something (beat her, rape her, other horror name it). You know it. But Dean doesn't. And juge her because of her deal. And her killing her parents.

Because for him, it's criminal to kill family. He thinks you can do better without kill it. You can found a commun ground and build on it.

But Bella didn't. Because she didn't have anyone. Dean had Sam, Bobby. She was alone.

And Bella can't understand how Dean can make a deal for Sam. Because she didn't understand family. She didn't understand friend, bouding. She never had it.

And i'm so sad for her. And for Dean. But mostly for her because in her last moment, her last connection just didn't care, didn't forgive her, make her feel like crap and hell.

She die, knowing she's alone. Alone and lonely. And she hates it. And she feels she deserved it.

And never anyone will know why she did it. Never anyone will forgive her, tell her it's gonna be ok, she safe now.

Never.

She die. Alone. Unforgiven. Lonely. Hated.

I'm sad for her.
