Palais Engelhart Steingasse 15 Landstraße

Josef Engelhart (1864-1941) war ein bedeutender Österreichischer Maler und Bildhauer, der grosses Ansehen genoss. Er war eine der führenden Gestalten der Wiener Kunstszene um die Jahrhundertwende und Mitbegründer der Secession. Um 1901 kaufte sich Engelhart ein Gebäude an der Steingasse im Bezirk Landstrasse und liess es von Ferdinand Fellner III., genannt „Ferry“, zu einem Wohnpalais umbauen. Im Garten wurde ein zweigeschossiges Ateliergebäude errichtet. Engelhart veranstaltete in seinem Palais zahlreiche Künstlerfeste.

Adidas unveils FW23 London Tennis Collection: A fusion of classic tailoring and modern Innovation

adidas introduces its FW23 London Tennis collection – a blend of traditional techniques and game-changing technology. The collection launches as the tennis world turns its gaze to grass – famously one of the most challenging surfaces to play on. While this means players have to adapt and innovate their game constantly, when it comes to the apparel they wear on court, tradition has prevailed.

To equip players with the best possible products, this collection is made with the latest adidas technology to withstand the challenges of modern tennis. The collection also takes inspiration from methods and fabrics favoured by London tailors – such as single pleating and seersucker fabrics, which pay homage to the heritage of the location.

Also featuring in select pieces is the use of increased pattern efficiency technology, a tailoring technique, that aims to minimize fabric waste. The collection consists of 14 pieces, spanning performance t-shirts, dresses, jackets and shorts.

The Men’s Tennis Seamless AEROREADY T-Shirt Pro, built with maximum comfort and breathability in mind, featuring open holes and ventilated structures that allow athletes to feel dry and comfortable on court whilst performing at the highest level.

The Men’s Tennis Seersucker AEROREADY 2in1 Short, created with seersucker – a summer fabric favoured by British tailors. Tight-tension yarns are alternated with loose-tension yarns to provide a puckered surface,helping players to feel cool.

The Women’s Pleat Skirt Pro, featuring single pleating – a folding technique used to gather fabric and secure it in place/add extra space for comfort.

The Women’s Pleated AEROREADY Skirt Pro and Men’s AEROREAY Short, designed with increased pattern efficiency to achieve less material waste during production.

adidas’ AEROREADY technology, which has been incorporated into every piece in this collection, uses sweat wicking or absorbent materials, to keep players feeling dry and comfortable on court.

The FW23 London Tennis collection will be premiered by adidas athletes including Stefanos Tsitsipas, Felix Auger Aliassime, Xinyu Wang, Sascha Zverev, Dana Mathewson, Jessica Pegula, Maria Sakkari and Martin de la Puente.

Felix Auger Aliassime, elite tennis player, commented: “Grass season is very special to me. It is the surface tennis was first played on. The prestige that comes with that is something you feel as soon as you arrive in the city. Honouring that legacy through what I wear on court is important to me. The collection, which comes in a colour palette of white with accents of lucid lime and lucid lemon, will feature in a size range of XS-2XL for men and 2XS-2XL for women. It’s available to buy at adidas.com and via the adidas app from June 1.

Gegen 07:33 Uhr wurde die Feuerwehr Krombach zu einem Verkehrsunfall im Ort alarmiert.

𝗞𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗵 - 𝗩𝗲𝗿𝗸𝗲𝗵𝗿𝘀𝘂𝗻𝗳𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗮𝘂𝗳 𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗲𝗴𝗲𝗹𝗴𝗹𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗚𝗲𝗳𝗮𝗲𝗹𝗹𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗸𝗲

Am Dienstagmorgen (20.12.2022), wurde die Feuerwehr Krombach um 07:33 Uhr zu einem Verkehrsunfall in die Steingasse - Ecke Hauptstraße gerufen.

Hier waren zwei Pkw in kurzen Zeitabständen auf der spiegelglatten Straße ins Rutschen geraten und gegen eine Hauswand geprallt.

Verletzt wurde dabei glücklicher Weise keiner der beiden Fahrzeugführer. Die Feuerwehr Krombach war mit zwei Fahrzeugen und 13 Einsatzkräften vor Ort, leuchtete die Schadensstelle aus und führte Verkehrslenkungsmaßnahem durch. Unterstützt wurden die Kräfte der Freiwilligen Feuerwehr durch ein Streufahrzeug des gemeindlichen Bauhofs. Beide Fahrzeuge waren nicht mehr fahrtüchtig und mussten abgeschleppt werden.

Hello dear people, I have been very fortunate today, to stumble across a memorial event for the Jewish casualties of the november pogroms in 1938.

November 9th is a very historical night in Germany with very high highs and very low downs, as it i among others, both the day the German wall fell, and the night in which Nazis sacked thousands of Jewish owne boutiques and burned hundreds of synagogues across Germany and neighbouring countries. We were reminded of the long history of the Jewish community in my city of birth, Aschaffenburg, and the fates of various prominent faces, and to some - beloved family members across the 1930s and up to 1942 when the last remainders of a long lasting Jewish community in Aschaffenburg were deported. Then, we marched through the city towards an inconspicouus house, very centrally located in the Steingasse, and learned about Peter Gingold. A person of Jewish faith, an adamant anti-fascist, and later a resistance fighter in France and across western Europe.

The organizers, "Bündnis gegen rechts" alliance against the right, have a page on him and his fight against naziism and fascism throughout western Europe, his continuous involvement in reestablishing Jewish life and culture in Germany after the war, and his role in the rememberance culture, as he visited schools and spoke to children about his life and experiences. http://bgr-ab-mil.de/?page_id=152 On this page you will also find a charming adaptation of the song "Chanson pour l'Auvergnat" by Georges Brassens, to comemorate Peter Gingold in a local dialect of Aschaffenburg in German. (the original song being in French, a praise from an empoverished person who thanks all three people who have treated them kindly in times of great need)

The song was played after a a short, but heartfelt series of speeches on Gingold, the victims of the shoah in Aschaffenburg, and the need to persevere against current fascist and authoritarian forces in Germany, throughout Europe, and the world.

The sign on the door is to be replaced with a plaque shortly, and reads as follows:

Erneute Verfolgung und Ausbürgerung nach Verbot der KPD. Redner auf Friedenskundgebungen, gegen Naziaufmärsche. Auftritt als Zeitzeufge in Schulen und Jugendzentren. Am 29.10.2006 von uns gegangen. Seine Maxime: "Nie aufgeben." Bündnis gegen Rechts Zu seinem 100. Geburtstag - 08. März 2016

🇬🇧 Here lived Peter Gingold between 1916 and 1928, Born March 8th 1916 in Steingasse 27, Jewish resistance fighter, communist and member of the French Résistance. Escaped from the Gestapo and took part in the insurrection to free Paris in 1944. Active co-organizer of the political new beginnings of the Federal Republic of Germany. Prosecuted and exiled again after the ban on the communist part of Germany (KPD). Speaker on peaceful protests against nazi marches. Appearances as a witness (of the shoah) in schools and youth centres. Passed on October 26th in 2006. His solgan: "Never give up". Bündnis gegen Rechts (Alliance against the political right) on his 100th birthday March 8th 2016.
