👎🏻 I've been catching up on some KBLs from last year this month and sadly most of them were very disappointing. I put a few on my watchlist that generally had good reviews but yeah let's just say I'm glad I didn't miss anything in the last 2 years lol. The only one I liked was Love Mate, the rest was pretty much pointless. Hopefully the upcoming ones will be better 🤞🏻

WHAT I’M CURRENTLY WATCHING
ONGOING:
TO BE CONTINUED (Thailand): I’m having the time of my life with this one due to the main characters’ lack of communication, fear of fessing up to their feelings toward each other, the drama of the past, and Poppy (I always love Poppy!).
LOVE IS BETTER THE SECOND TIME AROUND (Japan): I love mature QLs (mature as in adult characters that are complex, flawed, and feel real, and that deal with real-life problems). This is no exception. I also love stories with the possibility of getting a second chance (because everyone makes mistakes).
1000 YEARS OLD (Thailand): This one is way too cute for me (I have a hard time vibing with too much cuteness). You would think this is a series about vampires and aliens, but it’s actually about soup and umbrellas. The only reason I’m still watching this is because of said umbrellas. The umbrellas got me hooked! (Welcome to the real struggles of a visual artist.)
CLOSE FRIEND SEASON 3: SOJU BOMB! (Thailand): There are too few episodes for me to say something substantial about this one. The neon lights in the first episode got me good, though (and I’m a slut for neon lights). Also, I love drunken shenanigans (in fiction, btw) and it’s delivering on that front.
TWO WORLDS (Thailand): This is another series with too few episodes for me to say something substantial. I like the vibe so far, though. Also, I always have a sweet spot for artists so Khram has a special place in my heart.
DEEP NIGHT (Thailand): I love the club setting (again, neon lights are my thing) and the chemistry between the characters (especially between Seiji and Pan). There’s also the possibility of a poly relationship (which I and so many others are hoping for).
(I hope I don’t get as clowned about this poly relationship as I got clowned about Non showing up alive in DFF.) (Either way, I’m staying in this clown car because I need poly! Hope is said to be the last thing leaving a person...)
CITY OF STARS (Thailand): This is really sweet. The characters are sincere and have great communication skills. Fueang and Krom maturely solve every issue that shows up. It’s nice to see a great relationship like this for a change (even though I do love watching miscommunicating characters as well).
ANTI RESET (Taiwan): I’ve recently started watching this and easily got into it since I could binge several episodes. It has an interesting story (falling in love with a robot that seems very real and human). The chemistry between the main characters is great and the visuals are gorgeous (Yi Ping’s house is beautiful, even though the front door never seems to be properly closed, like, ever).
A SECRETLY LOVE (Thailand): Right now, the only reasons I’m watching this is because of Kimmon (the actor who plays Pluem), Kut (who plays Khonprot, since I haven’t moved on from his role as Din in Chains of Heart), the sapphic side-couple (even though it’s a fake relationship right now) with rhyming names (Soi and Froi), and the neon lights. Mostly because of the neon lights! (I’m such a slut for neon lights!)
UNKNOWN (Taiwan): When I say that I’m obsessed with this series, it’s because I am. These characters live in my mind rent-free 24/7. The chemistry, the palpable yearning, the dialogue, the emotions expressed through the acting when there is no dialogue, etc., etc., etc. It’s just soooo great.
(Unknown does cover a topic that’s generally seen as taboo (“adoptive” brothers falling in love), so, be aware of that. I don’t have any issues watching series with taboo topics because there’s very little stuff I get uncomfortable with when it comes to fiction. So, I’m in love with this series with my whole stone-cold heart.)

Yamaguchi Gen (山口源) was born in Fuji City (Shizuoka Prefecture). He spent his youth in Tokyo, and thought for a time about becoming a writer, but after his family moved to Taiwan in 1914 (where they had prosperous beer and sake breweries), he had a chance encounter with Fujimori Shizuo (藤森静雄 1891–1943), an oil painter, sôsaku hanga artist, and friend of Onchi Kôshirô. Yamaguchi assisted Fujimori in collecting butterflies, while Fujimori introduced Yamaguchi to printmaking. Back in Japan, in 1932, Yamaguchi fell in with an anti-materialist group called Itto-en, which led him to renounce (for a time) financial support from his family and live an ascetic life. He survived with menial jobs, going house to house and offering to do chores. Serendipitously, he came to Onchi's home. As the Second World War approached, Yamaguchi spent time as an itinerant painter. He was a Christian (a legacy of childhood Sunday school taught by a missionary) and political liberal (though not a Communist), and was very much opposed to the militarism taking over Japan. For a few years, around 1935–37, he disappeared from the art scene, and may have been an activist in the anti-militarist underground.

KinnPorsche (Thailand) - I like 1/5 of it more than I should and the rest of it less than I ought
Unforgotten Night (Thailand) - for a kinky BDSM there is not enough kink, B, D, S, or M sadly, still it marks the return of the trash watch!
Senpai, Danjite Koidewa! (Japan) - my least favorite dynamic but watchable

REWATCHING:
DNA Says Love You (Taiwan)
Love Class (Korea)
My Esports Genius Brother (China)
Long Time No See (Korea)
Old Fashioned Cupcake (Japan)
LOOKING FORWARD TO THAILAND:
609 Bedtime Story - OhmFluke but not sad, I hope.
Bed Friend - I’ve wanted James to get his own BL since Oxygen
Between Us - of course
Chains of Heart - new premise, intriguing
City of Stars AKA Fueangnakorn - An actor falls in love with a programmer and the narrative intends to “explore the ramifications of being public figure in the social network era who must endure critics, bullying, and defamation.”
Coffee Melody - Pavel MY LOVE
The Eclipse - First + Khaotung at a sinister boarding school, haze the one you love, good boy/bad boy, suspense & horror elements, self acceptance themes, a curse, enemies to lovers
Fahlanruk The Series - one night stand, friends with benefits, pining seme, high heat
I Feel You Linger in the Air - from the producers of Lovely Writer. This is a time travel historical romance. FROM THAILAND!  H I S T O R I C A L ! ! !
My School President - It’s Love Sick meets the whipping boy trope. How exciting. Yes, I know, we’ve seen it all before. But this is me. I never met a high school set BL I didn’t want to grant a fair shake (even one that centers around singing). And I love me some whipping boy.
Never Let Me Go - PondPhuwin in a decent show? Sign me up: mafia, attack dog (whipping boy + bodyguard), love triangle, obsession, suspense
Vise Versa - proud member of Jimmy nation here and this is alt reality, bodyswap, soulmates. Soem trope I love, some I don’t
FROM KOREA
Eul's Love - Reunion romance office set.
The Circumstances of Pungdeok Villa Room 304 - Same pair as Kissable lips - Korea’s first example of this kind of casting. Rich kid lay about meets poor nerd, cohabitation.
Heesu in Class 2 - high school shy unpopular boy with a secret crush on best friend.
Comfort the Boy adaptation of Dongmul's manwha webtoon A Shoulder to Cry On. Teasing confident gay, fake dating, rich/poor, school setting, homophobia/gossip puts scholarship in jeopardy. Stars idols Jaehan & Yechan BOTH from Kpop group OMEGA X, 12 eps. MADNESS.
The Director Who Buys Me Dinner
Love Tractor asame production house as Semantic Error, stressed-out law student meets hunky young farmer. This is a very underused romance trope in BL.
Oh My Assistant - sexy one for Korea about an artist who draws adult webtoons and spends most of his time horny because of it, who hires an assistant that turns out to be his biggest fan. We’re gone see how Korea handles thirst.
PT is Love - friends of 10 years who’ve been hiding feelings for each other enter the same university. Plus MURDER.
Love is like a Cat: A new star, called the Cat Prince for his cold arrogance, goes up against a charismatic puppyish director. Korean Thai colab project will feature Mew Suppasit.
Space Bakery: A spaceship crash-lands into and destroys a small bakery shop. Of course this means the alien and the baker end up living together. At the same time, other aliens-in-hiding all around the city start hunting for them.
FROM TAIWAN
I Secretly Fell in Love with Student Council President (let the dumb titles continue) - director of H2: Crossing the Line; Love Is Science with possible alternate title: About Youth. 2 high school boys with different backgrounds, personalities, and values compete for student president, but have more attraction than animosity.
My Tooth Your Love (from Result Entertainment - We Best Love peeps) with script by Lin Pei who loves VERY traditional yaoi tropes, she’s the writer of mush HIStory stuff.
FROM JAPAN
Bokura no Shokutaku AKA Our Dining Table - I LOVED THIS MANGA. Lonely salaryman (talented cook) gets accidentally adopted by a college kid and his baby brother. They build a family together. This is a sweetly gentle and cozy manga and it will make a GREAT live action piece.
Kabesaa Doujin Sakka no Neko Yashiki-kun wa Shounin Yokkyuu wo Kojirasete iru - starring Matsuoka Koudai (I know him from Five) and Nakao Masaki (Kakafukaka, Bow Then Kiss - he’s a BIG DEAL ya’ll) slated to be released in October.
Copy and paste and play if you want.

backstory summary
now an urban city life lover and tattoo artist, Mo grew up as the oldest son of a fisher family in present-day shenzhen
had to help out and take responsibility from a young age, got married at 19 and had 3 children
at age 28 he got caught having sex with another man and subsequently fled his village to avoid punishment, ultimately got involved in anti qing dynasty rebellions in taiwan where his organisational skills caught the eye of the local coven which turned him some time later
worked for them for a while before getting bored and tired of being told what to do, started a rebellion within the coven & killed his masters, had to flee taiwan
went to live in japan for a while after getting bored of fighting (mainly in the opium wars, thought it was fun at first + made some bank) and started taking an interest in tattoo art
now settled down a bit compared to the wild life he led before, not loyal to anyone but more reliable as a potential ally; main residence back in shenzhen with second residence in bolivia

very fun oriented, does whatever he wants whenever he wants; can be very charming but also loves being the center of attention and aggravating others on purpose
enjoys the urban luxury lifestyle, city view apartments, fast cars, high fashion, expensive alcohol, loud shows etc.
his best friend is guang and he's constantly hanging out at his house, much to hsin-yis dismay
liqin is his eldest daughter but neither of them know it (yet)
only learned to write and read while in japan so even though hakka is his native language he was literate in japanese first. also left handed
he is not very emotionally available and doesn't like talking about himself or his life on a deeper level
almost exclusive top, if he bottoms for someone it means he caught feelings and will start avoiding them very soon to not feel dependent on anybody 🤡

I am pretty sure I am going to stop taking class next semester. On one hand, after one year of studying and 6 months of having a student ARC, I could get a part-time work permit and national health insurance. On the other hand, class steadily wears down my mental health every semester until break, and I am almost certain trying to work on top of that would be disastrous. I thought about trying to go directly into working, but (as far as I know, anyone is welcome to prove me wrong) it’s impossible to convert a student ARC into a work ARC, so either way I need to leave the country and reenter. Covid definitely inflicted some mental trauma, so I can’t shake the fear that I’ll be barred entry back in for whatever reason, forcing my friend to clean out my apartment and ship everything to me in whatever country I inevitably take refuge in...
He just flew back from Vietnam today though and assured me Taoyuan Int’l Airport is back to pre-covid functionality. Having a gander at Skyscanner, I saw that the airline “Fly Gangwon” goes between Taipei and Yangyang International Airport (never heard of it, evidently somewhere near Seoraksan) which tempted me briefly until I looked up the company and promptly lost confidence that they’d still be in business by the end of March. I had entertained thoughts of going to Tokyo but flights are still too expensive. I’ve been to most cities/countries within affordable range of Taipei, so either I pony up for something new, or pick somewhere I liked enough to repeat. I fondly remember Okinawa having neither feral dogs nor rampaging scooters on the sidewalk, but it’s still not the cheapest option, and I don’t even know how my school is organising this last month of class (another new teacher? and god only knows who’s taking break when), so I’ve been waffling and having the usual big-life-change depression that always manifests around this time.
I’ve been reading Adult Children of Emotionally Immature Parents and it’s...well, it’s something, and I’m both a) not looking forward to my dad wanting to visit me this spring, and b) realising my whole relationship with my Chinese tutor was another bid for emotional intimacy with someone who was never capable of reciprocating the way I wanted, and I’m not sure how to extricate myself from this (class, our extracurricular artistic collaboration, my general mental entanglement, idk). I would like to make more IRL friends in Taipei, especially in my immediate area, but I’m not sure exactly how, when social engagement wears me out, and, ironically, I feel isolated because I speak tolerable Mandarin but I don’t look at all like someone who speaks tolerable Mandarin. Most of my friend-making in the past has relied on someone more extroverted adopting me and dragging me along, and I feel my odds of this have gone way down. I miss, in a way, my days of hostel work-stay where there was a constant influx of potential friends, and they all came directly to my door! Now I have to actively leave my room and go outside to a social venue and talk to strangers? However, this is not a lament with no plan for action, I’m really hoping if I hang out in Taipei while not taking class I’ll have the energy to go to more events, and sooner or later SOMETHING will happen. (I went to a “rope jam” the other week, I don’t know what I expected exactly but I am willing to go again.)
I had a moment yesterday in which I asked myself exactly what I’m hanging around in Taiwan for now anyways. I’ve basically burnt myself out with classes, I’m faced with the prospect of getting a job I’m not thrilled about just to stay in a place where honestly I’m kinda lonely and touch-starved. It was a safe space to hang out while I worked on transitioning, processing some of my never-ending queue of issues to be processed, and immersing myself in a special interest, but now what, huh? Don’t get me wrong, Taipei is a city where I find a lot of joy in everyday little things, and that definitely makes it easier to keep going alone. At the same time, I had a significantly better social network and support back in 2017, and I’m missing that connection. I’ve read that part of contentment is finding fulfillment in what one does, and I’m also at the point in advanced language study where the returns are very mild and subtle relative to effort expended. (I hadn’t considered that as a factor til I wrote it out, but it tracks.) So the next step is to look for work, and see how that changes things. Well, once I pick somewhere to fly to in April, anyways.

rounding out hou hsiao-hsien’s portrayal of taiwan’s twentieth century alongside a city of sadness (1989) and good men, good women (1995), the puppetmaster (1993) takes on the intersection of personal identity, national history, and art just like good men, good women (1995); the difference is that, whereas the latter film presents the blurred line between personal identity and national history as mediated by art, this film presents the blurred line between national history and art as mediated by personal identity. the personal identity and narrative in question is that of li tian-lu, the most celebrated master of taiwanese glove puppetry. interviews with li form one of the three threads that seamlessly weave together in this nonlinear film, the other two being dramatized vignettes from li’s life and scenes from puppet shows and operas he performed. the piece of taiwan’s national history that this film takes on is 1895-1945–japan’s occupation of taiwan. the film works most closely with the narratives of japan that were created in this period by japan and by collaborators, although it is worth noting that subsequent backlash against collaborators, a phenomenon key to films like farewell my concubine (1993) and the last emperor (1987), is not handled at all in this film. indeed, the utter lack of judgement passed by the affectively unbiased and documentary film—a lack of judgement not just for li’s collaboration but also for his infidelity and unfiliality—is key to the way the film treats art and is carefully buttressed by the interviews with li and with the long-take-static-shot style hou hsiao-hsien prefers, which enhances the “raw” documentary affect. if the film did not so carefully position itself as a non-narrative, its portrayal of how intertwined national (and here japanese) narrative-making is with art would have have awkward implications for the film itself. throughout the film opera and puppet shows are used as tools by the dominant power to forward their projects; this is seen most obviously in li being economically compelled to perform japanese plays and japanese propaganda, but it is also present in japanese officers compensating the li family with opera tickets for cutting their queues at the beginning of the film, and with the people of bingang street asserting at the film’s end that li’s puppet performances were the cause of the gods answering their prayers and driving the japanese out of taiwan. this film has no time for high-minded artistic idealism. art is and will be a tool of the hegemonic power to establish what narratives it prefers, the film asserts. it is only by tying itself so strongly to the real-life narrative of a real-life person present in the film that the puppetmaster (1993) avoids turning this question inward on itself

Asian and Asian American Artists on Celebrating Lunar New Year Lunar New Year is the single most important date on the calendar for billions of people in East and Southeast Asia, including China, Taiwan, South Korea, Vietnam and Singapore. Observed this year on January 22, it marks the end of winter and the arrival of spring, with families journeying to their hometowns for weeks of festivities. With over 18 million Americans of Asian descent, the holiday — called Chūnjié in Mandarin, Seollal in Korean and Tết in Vietnamese — is celebrated in the United States as well as globally. And though it’s not officially observed in most Western countries, many in the Asian diaspora keep their heritage alive through traditional foods and rituals. Often, it’s the only tangible connection to culture we have in terms of a true celebration. As we prepare to ring in the Year of the Rabbit (or of the Cat, if you’re Vietnamese), PAPER caught up with some of our favorite Asian artists and creators from around the world to hear what the holiday means to them — and how they plan to celebrate. Lexie Liu, singerGrowing up in China, Chinese New Year is THE New Year for families to get together and celebrate with gourmet food, beautiful blessings and red packets. Ever since my parents divorced, I haven’t found a good way to attend both of their family dinners in New Year because they are in different cities, but this year we are all celebrating in the same city so I can finally be there for both of the families. The foods I loved are Fried Stinky Tofu with lots of spicy radish from Changsha Hunan. I need it in my holiday life. For the Year of the Rabbit, I wish I can eat more vegetables than a rabbit. (I probably do already.) Also, I wanna be as energetic as one, too.Related | Lexie Liu's Got Tricks and Tracks You Need to HearRuoyi Jiang, founder of Chop Suey ClubLunar New Year has always been about family time, relatives getting together and gossip. It means a BIG dinner together, endless amounts of food, giving and receiving red envelopes, watching a national TV program while poking fun at it, and enjoying the fireworks. The past many years I haven't been able to go back home for LNY, so this holiday for me is about celebrating with our chosen family. We are throwing a big party on Jan 21st (LNY Eve)! I do this type of parties because many people like me cannot be home to celebrate with their families. This time we wanna bring street food like skewers into the mix with soup dumplings. My favorite food for the season is 糖葫芦 tanghulu (candid hawthorn stick), it's not a LNY food per se but it's a Beijing winter specialty. My family is very small (just me and my mom), so we normally go to someone else's house for this holiday. My favorite memory is getting dressed with my mom, she would criticize my fashion while trying to have color-coordinated outfits with me. My wish for this year is that China can return to normalcy soon, so my mom and I can resume our annual trip together. I haven't seen her for three years now.Twaydabae, chef and influencerLunar New Year has always been about spending time with family & celebrating traditions to me. It's a time to reflect, wish each other well and set intentions for the future. I plan to celebrate with my family: It's going to be a big get-together this year and I'm really looking forward to having my mom's thit kho and my Stepdad's pho.My favorite memory of Lunar New Year in my home would have to be the games that are played, especially the dice game aka the Bau Cua Ca dice game. And my wish for this year is to welcome more peace into my life and to practice mindfulness in everything I do.Related | Twaydabae Is Viet Girl MagicEden, producerGrowing up in Ireland, Lunar New Year always felt like a nice family ritual — there was never much notice of it in the world outside. My biggest memory is of red envelopes. My granny would give them out to us on New Year’s and it always made it feel like a special time. I actually keep them in my house now and use them sometimes when gifting things to my friends. This year, I will be on tour somewhere in Texas doing my best to find some dim sum. Kim Nguyen, founder of Nguyen IncSometimes I go back home to Houston to celebrate with my immediate family but this year I’m staying in NY and planning on cooking with my friend SK Lyons at their home. Both of us have never cooked pho before so we are going to attempt my mom's recipe. I love literally everything my mom cooks. She is hands-down the best chef I know! Memories that immediately come to mind from when I was younger are playing bầu cua tôm cá with my uncles and cousins (because I was very lucky and always won a lot of money), cleaning every inch of our house before the festivities and playing hide and seek with all my cousins with back-to-back episodes of Paris by Night blaring from the TV in the living room. I read somewhere that this year's water rabbit (or cat) is supposed to be the year of hope, so I'd like to keep that in mind throughout the year.Related | Nguyen Inc Is Making Runway Fashion Statements From Upcycled TeesThuy, singerLunar New Year means family and tradition to me. It means being able to ring in a new year with the people who mean the most and enjoy traditions that have been passed down for decades together. I plan to celebrate by being surrounded by close and extended family. I want to be in conversation with family about our past and future plans while enjoying all the delicacies and treats! I especially love bánh tét! My favorite memory is staying up until midnight to light the fireworks! It was so much fun and we didn’t have to clean up the mess. We would leave the red residue all on our front porch for weeks. The only thing that scared me was how loud they were as a kid! My wish is to live peacefully and wholeheartedly. I want to continue doing what I love and enjoy every moment of it.Related | Thuy Is in Her BagAlex Porat, singerI’m going to spend most of my Lunar New Year days with my family. We’re going to eat a lot of food, especially Tang Yuan, which is my favorite dessert on this earth. I’ll probably also do a lot of cleaning and potentially rearranging of furniture so that I can have a new perspective in my living space as I turn into a new year. This might be pretty silly, but in general, I like moving furniture around way too much. My favorite memory is from whenever I was in Asia as a kid celebrating. Every time I was there around Lunar New Year I would see all my relatives and it was always such a big celebration. Now, living and growing up in North America, it’s such a different experience but I still have such a great community here of friends and family that celebrate. So there are a lot more memories yet to be made.Su Lee, musician and podcasterKoreans eat a lot of savory pancakes on Lunar New Year and my favorite is Mom’s specialty potato pancake that she makes at home. (Speaking of which, I would probably ask her to make some in advance before I leave Korea.)When I was in kindergarten, my grandpa would take me on a ride in his car and buy me toys whenever my family visited him for the holidays. I remember he always had a picture of me stuck by the front seat. This was a very long time ago and yet I still remember it all so clearly. I miss my grandpa a lot whenever I look back on this. One of my biggest wishes for this year was that my sister would pass her nursing exam. And this one has come true already – she passed! I hope this means I’ll have my other wishes come true. I hope I can go on tour again and maybe even be able to play at some festivals this year! I also hope I can get to meet and pet more cats this year.Related | Su Lee Forgot How to Make FriendsSamantha Tan, race car driver and team ownerLunar New Year is similar to [Western] New Year’s celebrations at the end of the year. It’s about celebrating the next cycle and next rotation in the Zodiac, family gatherings and wishing for health and prosperity for the years to come. Honestly, after growing up in a small Canadian town, Lunar New Year celebrations felt like one of the only times I got to experience something from my culture, so it allowed me to connect with my heritage. Today, it’s a celebration that reminds me to be proud of who I am and where I came from. This year, I am spending my Lunar New Year with my mom’s side of the family. My grandparents are planning a big dinner with all our favorite foods, complete with noodles, lots of dumplings, steamed fish and nian gao! Sometimes, when the whole family is able to get together in Toronto, we’ll go out to a restaurant and my favorite dish has always been the Peking duck with pancakes.Dolly Ave, singerLunar New Year always gives me fond memories with my family. It’s a celebration of a new chapter and a special occasion to be with your loved ones and take in all the blessings and future blessings the year may off you.I’ll be performing for the Vietnamese community here in California at a Lunar New Year festival. For me, that’s a special moment to bring to people music to dance to and celebrate to. I love sharing a big Vietnamese spread but specifically the large roasted pig that is commonly eaten during this time. My favorite memory is taking our red envelopes and, in good fun, playing games for each other's money.Photos courtesy of the artists https://www.papermag.com/lunar-new-year-celebrations-2659287111.html

Hatsune Miku Fans Demand Refunds After Underwhelming Concert
Tumblr media
If Hatsune Miku were an actual person and not an insanely popular virtual popstar vocaloid (a software that synthesizes singing from lyric and melody inputs), she'd currently be in hot water with fans after her latest concert series. Miku Expo is an annual international tour where vocaloid developer Crypton Future Media brings the digital diva to life through a holographic projection, accompanied by live musicians.
The latest Miku Expo tour, which took place in North America, has sparked controversy among fans who claim that the concert organizers censored political messages during the show. According to reports, fans attending the concert in New York City noticed that some lyrics in one of Miku's songs were changed to remove references to Taiwan and Hong Kong.
The controversy has reignited the debate over whether artists should remain neutral or use their platform to voice their opinions on political issues. Some fans argue that music and politics should be kept separate, while others believe that artists have a responsibility to use their influence to raise awareness on important social and political issues.
Regardless of the debate, the controversy surrounding the latest Miku Expo tour highlights the power that music and art have in shaping public opinion and sparking important conversations. As for Hatsune Miku, she may be a virtual popstar, but her impact on the music industry and her fans is very real.

Which locations are most common by Japanese tourists?
Introduction:
Japanese citizens are some of the most committed travelers in the world; they look for both the same and unique sites to visit. Countries like most of them include countries such as South Korea, Taiwan, and Hawaii, while these places are a mix of cultural exposure and natural beauty. The Japan tourists spots from philippines, with their beautiful and wonderful beaches on the one hand, and an abundant history on the other side, hold a fate for many Japanese visitors every year.
A few locations are mentioned below:
Hawaii:
People in Japan love going to Hawaii because it's abundant with stunning nature just like in a fairytale. They can sunbathe and play on the sandy beaches, and they can swim as there is clear blue water or they can participate in water activities like snorkeling and surfing. Moreover, Hawaii usually enjoys decent weather throughout the year, so that is not the same weather pattern that they enjoy in Japan, thus, they also like the change.
London, UK:
London is the UK nation’s capital. It is a treat for many tourists from Japan to visit Buckingham Palace, which is the residence of the queen of England. Besides that, they always visit the Tower of London, which is a high-walled castle that has an exciting history. Japanese visitors are deeply impressed by temples, castles, and other traditional architecture.
Bangkok, Thailand:
The visit to Bangkok is a thrilling and memorable experience for Japanese people in Thailand. They often visit colorful markets and souvenir shops and the texture of different street food. The Japanese, however, always want to pay a visit to the numerous Buddhist temples in Bangkok when they go there where people go to pray and meditate.
Rome, Italy:
The city of Rome in Italy is one of the must-visit places for Japanese because it is full of ancient sites and artistic beauty. They like to visit fluorescent places like the Colosseum which is an old amphitheater that used to be a home for the gladiator fights. The Japanese tourists tend to enjoy the Italian cuisine such as pizza and pasta rather than the traditional Roman dishes during the time they are in Rome.
Seoul, South Korea:
Seoul is the capital of South Korea and in particular, energy consumption in South Korea is quite high and the largest share of energy in South Korea comes from fossil fuels. Japanese travelers because the latter is next to the modern city where technology is widely used but it has an abundant and lively culture. They love to walk through locations such as the Jongbokgung Palace, which is a former royal palace, and sampling Korean cuisine. for instance foods such as kimchi and bulgogi.
Conclusion:
Japanese travelers are attracted to different sites all over the globe and then they look for relaxation, cultural experiences, and thrill in so many places. On top of the already mentioned off-the-beaten-path adventurers, they also love to delve into the tourist destinations Japan tourists spots from the philippines, including Boracay, which is very well known for its beaches, Palawan, for its awesome natural wonders, and Manila, which is fondly referred to as the "Pearl of the Orient," mainly because of its vibrant city life.
