Kat had been tracking the scent for something she was in dire need of. her fur was patchy and large blotches of bright red marred her normally rusty hide. Molting season. and that meant she was on the prowl for iron. like calcium in mammals, it strengthened her bones and scales. As she moved, she caught the scent of massive deposits. A motherload of near pure iron. breaking into a gallop she charged for the scent, finding what looked like a manmade structure. A tested sniff of the walls of the behemoth before she began to work at it with her claws like a bear at a cardoor, wedging metal from the wall so she could eat it. -for Taruk, sorry about your ride XD
There are several ways a renegade bounty hunter doesn't want to be woken up. For example, finding out your mark has escaped in the middle of the night, or being assulted by a swarm of swamp bugs the size or your ship.
Or, being awoken to the sounds of said ship being pried open like a can of soda getting ready for the trash compactor.
"Aw, shit, no, no, no, please no-" throwing the beskar chestplate on, Tarurk pauses briefly to contemplate the helmet. No, forget it, it didn't fit anymore anyways. They grab the rifle off its stand by the door, dashing out the opening that had now been clawed open. And the Devaronian falls hard to the ground, as the steps had not been extended to catch them.
"Uhg. Ow, fuck, shit,-" pulling himself to his feet his mouth falls open at the sight of what was assaulting his ship.
"HEY! Get your grubby claws off of my ship!"

Tumblr media
tìloho [English] n. surprise
Anonymous Request: “Hi! Love your stuff :) Can you do one where it’s everyone’s reaction after they find out that neteyam & y/n are bonded/a couple?”
Adult Neteyam and Y/N, a little known member of the Metkayina clan, announce their bond - to almost everyone’s surprise.
1,248 words
His mother was the only one who wasn’t surprised, because she was the only one who had been paying attention. Neteyam had not been focused lately. He had been returning empty handed from hunts, missing family meals, neglecting his siblings, and generally being more secretive than he typically was.
She knew exactly what it meant, but she hadn’t known who was the cause of it, until today. Neytiri had considered carefully whether she should be angry with Neteyam, when he finally revealed the truth to them... and decided against it. If her son could find happiness here, with the Metkayina, there was no reason for her to deprive him of that.
Neteyam arrived to his family’s pod, hand in hand with Y/N, both looking sheepish but unable to hide their smiles.
“Mom, Dad...” Neteyam said as they walked through the entrance.
“Y/N,” Neytiri said, stepping forward with arms open to the girl, who was shocked that Neytiri knew her name - but Neytiri was observant, and made it a point to remember everything and everyone. This girl was not the daughter of a chief, or a healer, but the daughter of a fisherman; in the ranking of the tribe, she was inconsequential - but Neytiri knew that everyone had value, importance, and a place at the table. Neytiri had seen her. one or twice, and remembered the way Neteyam smiled at her when they first met, and how the girl had blushed at his grin. “Welcome,” Neytiri said.
Jake looked up from where he sat, confusion plain as day on his face.
“Thank you,” Y/N replied, her voice quiet, and she touched her fingers to her forehead, and then lowered them.
Neytiri returned the gesture, as her husband stood up to join his family.
“Y/N, it was?” Jake said. He had never seen this girl in his life, and here she was, holding his eldest’s hand and earning a sign of respect from his wife - which was not an easy thing to do.
“Yes,” the girl replied.
She certainly was pretty, if not a little shy, but he couldn’t miss the look on his son’s face. His boy was beaming with pride, gripping this poor girl’s hand so tight that it had to hurt.
“We are mated. Before Ewya,” Neteyam said finally.
Jake whistled. He was a little surprised that Neteyam hadn’t told him before but then again, Neteyam was very private. He wouldn’t have made this decision lightly, and Jake couldn’t help but consider that the fact that he was no longer Olo'eyktan had taken some pressure off of his son when it came to finding a mate; it had allowed him to find someone he truly loved, and make that choice freely.
Neytiri embraced her son, and Jake followed suit. “Welcome to the family, kid,” Jake said to Y/N. “Good luck.”
--
Neteyam’s siblings were next.
“You... you what?” Lo’ak asked when Neteyam told them.
Neteyam tried not to roll his eyes, and Y/N squeezed his hand.
She was even more nervous than he was. For weeks, they had practically snuck around. Neteyam wanted to escape the prying eyes of his family, and Y/N was too nervous to meet them. Who was she, to suppose she could secure for herself the daughter of Taruk Makto? What made her special enough to think she could be deserving of his love?
But whether or not she deserved it, she had it - and she had it for the rest of their lives, as they had pledged themselves before Ewya just the night before.
“I - holy shit!” Lo’ak exclaimed, and Y/N winced. She wasn’t sure quite yet whether he was excited, or angry - not until he threw his arms around the both of them.
“I mean, I have enough sisters already, so I guess one more is fine,” Lo’ak said with a smile. “Welcome to the family!”
--
Kiri and Tuk were thrilled, and a little confused at why Neteyam had hidden Y/N from them for so long - they loved her instantly.
“Oh, you’re beautiful,” Tuk said with the innocence of a child, and Y/N bent down to her level.
“I have been begging your brother to let me meet you,” Y/N said with a soft smile. “He has been keeping me all to himself. Isn’t that selfish?”
Y/N was a naturally shy and cautious person by nature, but had such a deep love for children, that she had been eager to meet Tuk since the moment she’d met Neteyam.
Tuk giggled, and reached up to touch Y/N’s soft hair. She kept it unbraided, and it was usually a little wild. “Your hair is so pretty.”
In turn, Y/N reached for one of Tuk’s braids. “Maybe you can show me how to do these lovely braids sometime, yes?”
Tuk nodded, and with another smile, Y/N stood up.
“I knew something was going on,” Kiri said with a huff. “I can’t believe you didn’t tell any of us!”
“I am sorry, Kiri. I wanted... one thing, for myself. Just once,” Neteyam said, and Kiri’s eyes softened.
“Mom knew, though, didn’t she?”
Neteyam laughed. “Is there anything mom doesn’t miss?”
--
Later, the two sat on the beach, the water up to their waists, finally alone after telling their families.
“That went... much better than I thought,” Neteyam said.
Y/N smiled, leaning her head on his shoulder. “Your family loves you very deeply, and they can see that you’re happy. Though, why I make you happy, I still don’t know.”
Neteyam reached down, turning her face up to meet his. “No more of this talk, Y/N. You are mine now, and you must see yourself how I see you.”
Y/N winced. “And, how do you see me?”
Neteyam smiled, ready to unleash a monologue on his poor mate. “The moment I first saw you, I thought you were the most beautiful woman I’d ever seen. Never have I seen such delicate features, such full lips, wide eyes, and soft hair. I was stunned by you, I felt as if I could not breathe, and I knew I had to have you. I knew the moment I saw you, I would make you mine. When I finally worked up the courage to speak to you, your voice was as delicate and soft as your face.
“You were so nervous, and it almost made me... made me want to cry, how scared you were. It made me want to protect you, and I will protect you until I die, Y/N.
“You are the smartest woman I have ever met, and you are endlessly kind and thoughtful. You are so skilled in everything you try, it amazes me how fast you can learn anything you want to.
“I am in awe of you. Ewya has blessed me beyond measure, beyond what I deserve, to deliver me a mate such as you.”
Y/N was tearing up by the end, and even though she knew Neteyam loved her, she had never felt it so deeply before.
“I knew my family would have to accept you, because they could see plainly how deeply I love you. I’m just surprised at how quickly the acceptance happened, is all,” Neteyam said, and leaned over to kiss his mate on her soft temple.
“I love you, Neteyam,” she said, wrapping her arms around him.
He felt like the luckiest man on the planet - and he was.

Neteyam x enemies to lovers Omotacaya reader
PLEASE DO NOT COPY MY WORK
Summary; Reader and Neteyam's parents don't get along. Her father doesn't like Jake as he has known him since he was working with the enemy. He had been holding a grudge since he had been using them. So Neteyam and the reader have to sneak around in order to be together without getting caught by their parents.
Neteyam is 19, and reader is 18
Tumblr media
The sun was beginning to set as Neteyam's parents were setting the kids ready for bed. Neteyam waited for his family to fall asleep so he could see her. He knew the risks if both of their parents found out they were together.
Their parents didn't get along, as their fathers would always butt heads together. Her father was a warrior, he was forced to listen to his fathers orders as he was the Olo'eyktan, and Toruk Macto.
Her father was jealous, as he was just a mighty warrior that fought alongside Taruk Macto. The young couple would always meet by the bioluminescent river, just a little aways from the Sacred tree. They were almost twenty years old.
"I was wondering when you were going to show up." The young Na'vi girl teased.
The boy just smirked as he yanked her tail lightly as he sat down next to her on a log.
Her blue skin glowed from the river, her face littered with white spots that looked like stars. She respected his family, unlike her parents they did not like the Sully's.
"I wish our parents didn't have us involved in their feud." The girl lays her head on the boy's shoulder.
"It's not fair to us, I mean they'll want to know who we're going to mate with. Tomorrow is our ceremony, we get to make the bow from the hometree and we get to choose our mates for life. But my parents already gave me the 'do not choose the Sully Boy', talk." She air quotes, and her voice depends to mock her father.
"It is our lives, our choice. I see you, and only you. We've been hiding this from our parents for two years, my siblings have been a great help with lying for me, so I didn't get caught. You and Kiri have a strong bond, a friendship that not even our parents can destroy. You and Lo'ak are the best hunters, and you are my right hand woman. You're the only one I want to be my Tsahik." Y/n starts to tear up as her face hides in his neck as she sobs.
"Why can't my father accept the fact that he will never be a Olo'eyktan?" Neteyam says nothing as he pushes a chunk of hair behind her ears.
He loved seeing her hair out of there usual braids, as she had that natural curl from them. She would have her hair down at night, as she likes to do different braids every day.
Y/n's younger sister who was only two years younger was searching for her as their parents were looking for her.
"Y/n!" The couple quickly looked at each other when they heard a voice shout for her name.
"Is that y/s/n?" She whispers, looking at the forest trying to spot a shadow of her sister.
"Neteyam!" The two quickly got up and started to run.
Their families were searching for them, only for the couple to bump into something, or more like someone.
"C'mon lemur boy!" Y/n shouted as Neteyam was falling behind as they jumped in the trees.
"Seriously?" He calls out as she calls him by his nickname.
But they continued to run, only for them to stop when they were caught.
"How many times do we have to tell you that you can not be together?" Jake scolds, the only thing that both parties agreed on.
"With all due respect sir, this is my father's doing. He can not except the fact that he is not Taruk Macto, or that you were a human that is now the leader. He's jealous and can't get it over his head." Jake tries not to smile, as he goes wide eyed. But her father held anger in his eyes, if looks could kill she'd run as far as she could if she wanted to.
"We have decided who we chose to mate with. We're in love with each other mother, I love him. He loves me." Y/n grabs Neteyam's hand, as he gives her a proud smile.
"I will be a Sully, take his last name. Learn to be a Tsahik, you can not take this away from me mother, father." She looks between both of her parents.
"Jake is the only one who could accept it, wanting to bring peace. All you want is to hate him. I will always choose Neteyam, no matter how hard you threaten, or try to keep me away from him." Her father sighs as Jake places a hand on the shorter Na'Vi's shoulder. She looked up at him and he had a look of pride on his face.
"We can't keep them from each other y/f/n. This has to end, make a Truce, you can't hold this grudge forever." Y/n's mother spoke, the two women were standing near each other.
The father continues to stay silent, as the family stares at him for a response.
He walks away, he was mad at the fact that his daughter had chosen a boy that she was told not to fall for. He knew he would lose, as she was stubborn. Y/n turns to Neteyam and places her lips against his. She wraps her arms around his neck as he places his hands on her waist.
"I love you Neteyam." She whispers, they were alone as they left them by themselves.
The two young Na'Vi's no longer have to hide their love.

Bleeding Hearts
This will be a long fanfic series. I have the same one on my Wattpad @ autogirls. Hope you all enjoy!
Nanat'ia (original character) x Miles Quaritch
_
"He is beautiful, Neytiri."
I had never thought I would see my sister so happy. She was glowing with pure love and happiness as she stared down at her newborn son, her hand wrapped in mine.
"I'm so happy for you," I pressed my forehead against hers, expressing my joy for her family.
When the sky people were sent away, I could feel a new era approaching. I prayed to Eywa for peace for my people since they had endured so much.
And for my new era of peace, I had put down my weapons and rested my mind. I did not want to bring any negative thoughts or feelings that I had held before. The sky people are gone, and so what was the need for me to continue making weapons? Not the bows my sister had crafted, but knives. Sharp daggers that were made for swiftly killing the enemy - ones I had started to forge when I was eight.
"Neytiri! Neytiri, I just thought of a great name!" Jake burst through the hut, excitement in his eyes as he had completely forgotten that I was here.
"What name have you been thinking of this time, Jake?" When I had discovered what name he had given his Ikran, I could not fathom it. He is Taruk Makto, the greatest earrior of our time, and such a great Na'vi warrior had named his Ikran Bob.
"Something very fitting, Nanat," He insisted, knowing my harsh judgment, but it was all fun and games with us.
"Tell me, my Jake," Neytiris' nerves were calm since having him, only focusing on their son so her mood was lighter than usual.
"Steve!"
Utter silence.
My sisters hand tightened around my own, trying to restrain herself from smacking him in the face.
"You are willing to name the future clan leader of the Omaticaya, Steve?" I questioned, my head tilted slightly. He saw the dangerous look in my sisters eye and immediately backed down from the idea.
"Or-or not, I mean, it's not that great," He stuttered out.
Names on Earth always sounded so weird. Steve? Bob? And thousands of Earth children share the same name. When I think of it, it often makes me sad for them because it means their parents did not think about their own name. There is no meaning - no beauty to their names.
"I have thought of one," Sister spoke up, gently caressing his head as he suckled on her for food.
"Neteyam. I think it suits him well," Neytiri smiled down at him, and I could see the spark in Jakes eyes. Jake looked down at his child, and it looked like that baby boy was his entire reason for living.
"Neteyam. . .it's perfect," Jake concluded, and I decided to take my leave.
The love between Neytiri and Jake was one to be admired and sought after. I had never seen such a connection before, even when she was promised to Tsu'tey. Even when she had expressed her disdain and annoyance for training him when he first arrived, it was like Eywa had already decided that they would have the strongest mate bond.
Neytiri would die for Jake, and Jake would die for Neytiri.
A love I wished for.
But it was not my time.
I believe that when the time comes, Eywa will bring my future mate to me. Perhaps he will be a thorn in my side, or my best friend - whatever comes, I put all my trust in Eywa that they will be the best for me.
"Ninat'ia."
I turned my head, "Mother?"
"Come here, child. What have they named him?" She is so excited to be a grandmother. Ever since the news broke that Neytiri and Jake were expecting their first child, she has been praying and watching Neytiri like Ikran.
"You will find out at the ceremony," I replied, and she hissed in frustration.
"Should you not be preparing the clan to receive his name?" I questioned my mother as she walked along with me.
"I wished to ask something of you, my child," She hooked her arm with mine, her thumb gently stroking my arm in comfort.
Meaning it was bad news.
"Remember how I told you I found you in the forest as a baby?"
"How could I forget? You told the story every year on my birthday," I wasn't hers - biologically. In my mother's grief, she secluded herself to the forest and found me. Her grieving was that she had lost her child giving birth, the cord having killed the baby before the air could reach them. So, she went to the forest seeking solitude.
Instead, she found me. As she told me, I was crying and just on the ground - seemingly abandoned. No one was around, and I was unharmed.
"I went to the Mother Tree to pray, but it was not the answer that I wished Eywa gave me," She said, worry in her eyes.
"What was it?"
She sighed, "it was a vision. I was watching through another's eyes in a strange place. A loud sound was going off, and humans were running all around me. I tried to fight my way into a room, but the others pushed me away. Afterward, I fell to my knees as the loud sound fell silent, and all I could feel was grief."
"Was this on Earth?" I had never seen it, only heard stories from the nicer sky people - like Grace.
"It is nothing like I have ever seen."
"But why come to me with this, mother? You are Tsahik - I do not know what this means," I expressed, and she stopped in her tracks.
"Mother?"
"I heard a man crying out a name. . .my child, he was screaming for you."

It feels like Neytiri's more forgiving parenting and Jakes more militant strict parenting is meant to be a foil showing the parents' different motivations for wanting to feel like a normal family again.
Neytiri desperately wants to return to her home in the forest with her people so her forgiveness toward Neteyam and Lo'ak and her softness toward the Kiri and Tuk'tirey seems to be her way of feeling at home again despite being so far from it in dire circumstances. Maybe in her mind, its more grounding for herself and her children to feel some distance from danger and unstable conditions in a softer parenting approach.
Jake desperately wants to be a responsible father and provider while honoring the Taruk Makto title and Omatikaya way if life, so his harsher parenting makes him feel fufilled in his role and more reassured about the stability of life ahead. Maybe in his mind, its more grounding for him and the kids to be instilled a mindset of security and accountability to feel distance from fears of having no resolution in plans and the worst things happening.
We see an introduction of Neytiri's and Jake's struggle to find a sense of familiarity and stability again through their different motivations and experiences as a mother and father. Their different experiences prior to and after meeting affect their sense of parenthood, warrior life, and refugee status, and their complex experiences influence the selfless and self-serving motivations behind their parenting styles in time of crisis. Its very interesting to see and I find it interesting how their parenting approaches seemed like opposites for a specific reason.

Namibia 2023/24 - Tag 12
FROHE WEIHNACHTEN!!!
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
Tumblr media
An Kaisers 25.
Gut Ding will eben Weile haben!
Tumblr media
Flimmernde Hitze, sengende Sonne.
Was auch sonst?
Lekker Slaap!

Today feels like a really good day for a long ride. The sky is clear, it's warm but not too hot, and the wind is mild. Plus, you really don't have a lot going on today; you went hunting early that morning, and that was kind of your only to-do today.
So, a long ride it is.
On your way to the forest, you spot Neteyam Sully, walking by himself. What an unusual sight! Usually the son of Taruk Makto is surrounded by people; family, friends, admirers. Even though you are what you would consider a close friend to him, maybe even his best friend, you rarely get to spend time with just Neteyam.
"Neteyam!" you jog over to him, and he glances over your shoulder. "I'm going for a ride - do you want to join?"
He shrugs. "No, not really."
You stop in your tracks, but he continues walking without another glance back towards you.
His response was cold, almost harsh, and probably the least he's ever spoken to you in one encounter.
You try to think back to your last few interactions, but there's nothing you can pinpoint that might explain such a display towards you.
Neteyam is getting further and further away, and you must decide - follow and demand an explanation, or continue on with his day and hope his tantrum is finished when you return.
But, ah, the weather is so nice - so you decide to take your ride and hope that whatever has upset Neteyam, he's over it by the time your done.
--
Though you left near midday for your ride, the sun is almost set when you return. You feel refreshed, maybe a little wind-burnt, and you know your hair must be a mess, but it was so nice to spend the afternoon doing something you love.
Of course, at the back of your mind the entire time was your interaction with Neteyam earlier. You can't stop wondering, what could possibly be wrong with him?
After you eat with your family, you decide to seek him out and demand an explanation for his attitude.
He isn't hard to find. He's with his family at their home - his parents and youngest sister, Tuk. Lo'ak and Kiri are nowhere to be seen.
"Y/N," Neytiri greets you with a smile. "Have you been riding all day?" She reaches out, grabbing a strand of your hair.
"I have," you reply.
"Tomorrow, I braid this," she says, patting the side of your head. "Come early, it will take a long time. Tuk will help - right, Tuk?"
Eagerly, Tuk agrees, and you're grateful for their help. Neteyam sits by his father, tearing apart his dinner.
"Neteyam, come with me," you say, walking over and extending a hand to him.
He doesn't look up.
"Neteyam Sully! You are going to stand up right now and follow me out of here."
With a nudge from his father and a big huff, Neteyam stands up and walks by you, ignoring your outstretched hand.
Jake raises an eyebrow at you, and you shrug and turn to follow Neteyam. He's already halfway to the forest, and you catch up with him just beyond the tree line.
"Neteyam, stop!" you holler, feeling very frustrated and a little angry yourself, and finally, he listens to something You have to say. Standing in front of him, you throw your hands out to the side. "You are going to tell me why you are so angry with me, right now!"
Neteyam rolls his eyes, looking anywhere but at you.
"This is mean, Neteyam. I don't even know what I did, and you are hurting me."
This seems to finally catch his attention, and he looks down at you. "Maybe you could go and talk to my dad about it."
You furrow your brow and purse your lips in confusion. "Why... would I do that?"
Neteyam crosses his arms, and stares at you silently.
Realization dawns on you, and your cheeks heat up red.
"Did you hear me teasing Kiri about your father being attractive?" you ask. "Oh, no, Neteyam, that's why you're made at me? A joke I made to embarrass Kiri?"
"It didn't sound like a joke," he replies, his tone still cool.
"Of course it didn't, I was trying to embarrass Kiri! You know all the girls her age talk about how handsome and strong Taruk Makto is! I was just teasing her. Do you think I could actually be attracted to your dad?" You throw your arms out in exasperation, but Neteyam remains unmoved. "You are being an idiot! I have grown up near your family, your father is like family to me. You all are."
"Family?"
"Yes!"
"So you don't find any of us attractive?" He uncrosses his arms, and takes a step towards you.
"That's not what I'm saying." You sigh in exasperation. "I have always found you beautiful, Neteyam, and I'm sure you know that."
Though... you're not sure why he would know that. Even though, when you were sure he wasn't paying attention, you would steal glances at Neteyam to admire just how beautiful he was, you'd given him no indication that you'd ever thought of him that way.
"Beautiful?" he asks, raising his brow. His face is softened now, no longer stern, and a hint of a smile plays at his lips.
"Yes, I... well, you are." You wave your hand in front of your face. "Just tell me you are no longer mad at me. And apologize for your behavior earlier."
You hardly have the sentence out of your mouth before Neteyam wraps one arm firmly around your neck, and pulls you to him, stopping when your lips are less than an inch from his.
"I am sorry," he whispers.
You can't help but notice how quickly your heart is beating, and how weak your knees feel - has your best friend always had the ability to make you feel this way?
"I forgive you," you whisper, and close the gap, pressing your lips softly to his in a tentative kiss.
He turns your tentative kiss into something ferocious, and you wrap your arms around his shoulders, pulling him as close to you as he can possibly get - and it still isn't close enough.
Neteyam leans back against the tree behind him, pulling you with him, deepening the kiss, sighing into your mouth.
He pulls away, just for a moment, to smile down at you. You see stars dancing before your eyes.
"You're very beautiful, too," he replies, half-teasing.
"Just kiss me," you reply in a breathy voice.
He happily obliges.

Jake Sully x Human Reader
DO NOT COPY MY WORK
Tumblr media
Summary: There were only a handful of humans that were allowed to come back. Y/N Augustine was one of them. The only thing is, y/n has feelings for the Taruk Macto. But she was just a little human who's in love with her best friend.
This is based off right after the war, but Neytiri and Jake are not mates.
Warnings: cursing, implied smut, kissing/making out
I was one of the few humans to stay on Pandora. My mother was a scientist, I wanted to be just like her. As I helped her learn about the Omotacaya.
It's been a few months since then. Everyday I would be with Jake, he'd teach me how to be like one of them. He was Taruk Macto.
"Focus y/n." I lower my arms only for Jake to tap them.
"Where's your pretty head, girl?" I blushed as I raised my arms, only to hear Jake sigh once again.
"Y/n, relax." His arm wraps around my waist as he places his hand on my stomach.
My breath hitched as my heart started to beat faster.
"Stop." I said, I pushed him away as I lowered my bow.
"I'm not my mother, I'm not meant to do what she does. I'm not you, a war leader. I'm just a human, who is trying to be something she was never meant to be." I rambled.
"I'm just a regular human in a mock body of a Na'Vi." I dropped the bow to the ground.
"That's not true." I raised a hand in the air to stop him from talking.
"Shut up, Jake." He gives me a shocked look.
"Listen to me, I'm not like you. I'm just a normal scientist. My mother never got to finish her studies, I know nothing of this land like she did. She was meant to be here, only I took her place. It feels wrong, I'm not meant to be here." Jake stopped me, I struggled but he was stronger than me. His arms hold me tighter as I continue to squirm.
"Let go of me you ass!" I shout as he continues to tighten his hold.
"No! I'm not letting you go! For someone so smart You're a fucking dumbass!" I slowed down my movements as she glared at Jake.
"You're right." I scoffed, I caught him off guard when I pushed his arms off of me.
"Thanks for the pep talk Marine." I kept the nickname that my mother gave him, as I used the nickname when he was acting like a total jerk.
"Let me finish." I found a rock as I sat down on it, as I let out a huff.
"Neither of us weren't meant to be here. We're humans who fell in love with a world that no other human would understand. You see the beauty in everything. You're my best friend, you're my everything. I hate when you compare yourself to your mother when you're not her. This is your life. You're meant to be here, you're meant to be at my side." Realization hit me, was he confessing his feelings for me?
"Jake?" I tilt my head as I got up, he threw a rock at a nearby tree.
"Jake." I called his name again as I placed my hand on his cheek, trying to have him look at me.
"It kills me that you say you're not good enough." He whispers.
I place my hands on his pex as his body relaxes.
"I love you, y/n. More than just a best friend." I smiled softly as he places his hands on my neck, his thumbs resting on my jawline.
I close my eyes as he kisses my forehead.
"Wait for me." I pleaded, my eyes shooting up to look at him.
"If only my mother were here." I whispered, his lips grazing mine.
"She is here, she's with Eywa." I nod my head as I wrap my hands on his forearms.
"We'll continue practicing tomorrow." I knew that was just an excuse to continue our moment of peace.
"I love you Jake." I said, and I grabbed his face with my hands and kissed him.
I was never one to make the first move, I never really had a relationship due to overworking myself.
His lips felt warm against mine, as he placed his hands on the back of my head to pull me closer. I smiled into the kiss as my heart pounded in my chest.
"I see you, Jake." I whispered, my breathing was heavy as we finally pulled away to breathe.
"I see you, y/n." He said back.
A/N: Should I make a part two but a smut scene?

Touch
Short fic: other Na'vi think Quaritch fifth finger in unnatural and weird but (Y/N) thinks it's fascinating and he let's her inspect it.
Warning: MAJOR FLUFF
@darthsabe
_
Quaritch stared into the fire before him, wandering exactly who he was. He's seen all the video diaries and heard all about who the real Colonel Quaritch used to be, but was he still him? He became what he has hated. He was now nine feet tall, and one of the Na'vi.
And blue.
"Demon," He heard a whisper from one of the Natives and looked up, seeing them stare at his hands.
Right. His hands. The Na'vi naturally had four fingers, but he had five.
Couldn't quite fully blend in.
"Where do you come from, Miles Quaritch?" The Na'vi girl who saved him, (Y/N), asked while staring at him.
While the rest of his squad ran from the Thanator trying to kill them, Quaritch was lost. He had run the opposite way and had encountered a Na'vi woman fishing for food as he plunged head first into the water. She revived him and brought him back to her village.
"The sky people," He revealed, really not having much to lose other than a son who didn't want him.
"Ah, so it is true. Your people have perfected making us," You were impressed he could have blended in so easily, but the clothing and extra finger and speaking English gave it away.
"Why are you here? Taruk Makto sent you away, did he not?" Jake Sully. God, he couldn't escape him.
"He did, but sky people are greedy. Our planet is dying, and we want Pandora."
"Could you not have come in a more peaceful way?" You were genuinely curious. Your people had only engaged in violence when Taruk Makto had asked you to fight, but since then, your clan steered clear of them. You were travelers, never staying in one place for too long, and you were lucky enough to encounter a sky person this time around.
He chuckled, "If we see something we like, then we take it. Something we just can't seem to learn."
He started to get self conscious about his hands and felt all eyes on them. So hid them away in his pockets, trying not to explode at them.
"Like a baby," You mused, offering him a fruit.
"Nah, I'm good," his stomach grumbling loudly gave him away.
You giggled, "I will not poison you. Besides, all that running works up an appetite."
"How do you avoid those fuckers?" Not paying attention, he grabbed the fruit and started to eat.
"You run," you shrugged, "you can not tame one of them like you do Ikran."
"Hm," was all he said, the juices of the fruit running down his hand, and he wiped it on his pants.
"Disgusting."
"Demon."
His ears folded back, feeling self-conscious, and he dropped the fruit on the floor before getting up and walking away.
"Miles Quaritch, wait!" You got up, following after him but your hand was grabbed by your mother.
"Daughter, he is dangerous," She warned.
"So am I," you tore your hand from her and followed his footprints. He didn't walk fast, so it was easy enough to find him and stop him.
"Miles Quaritch, stop!" You grabbed his hand and he stopped in his tracks. His eyes looked down at your own hands.
"Thank you for the hospitality, Princess, but it seems I'm too different for your people-"
"Can you blame them? They are scared of another outbreak of war, but you. . .you feel different," Something about him just made you feel drawn to him. Your hand still hand onto his own and he pressed your palms together.
"I've done a lot of bad shit (Y/N). Shit I wish I could take it back, but I know who I am, and they know too. I'm not Taruk Makto - I can never fit into a clan or a tribe. Thank you, again, but-"
You grabbed his extra finger, feeling vulnerable, but you didn't care.
"I do not care who you used to be. Eywa brought you here for a reason," and before he could scoff and say anything else, your other hand reached up and cupped his cheek.
"I see you," you expressed, "but are you willing to see who you are?"
He was breathless. A Na'vi woman he just met just fucking read him like a book, and he hated it. A Marine shouldn't ever be in such a vulnerable position. . .but would a Marine ever willingly become a Na'vi?
With a chance to change?
His ears folded back and he merely nodded, not knowing what else to say.
You smiled.
"First things first is to get you out of such weird clothing," You began to walk back, hands still intertwined.
"We just met, and you're already trying to take my clothes off," All you did was laugh it off but seeing the physique of this sky person turned Na'vi didn't sound so bad.

So we saw Neytiri ride a palulukan (thanator) in the first Avatar at the end of the movie when one asked for her help as the fighting waged on. Yall think this will ever be referenced again in the sequels or comics?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Seems like a pretty big story and plot influencing lore with lots of potential!
We didnt see her make tsaheylu with it, but their coopration could possibly affect the lore about tsaheylu and the status of Taruk Makto in Omatikaya culture. Neytiri could have been Taruk Makto, too, since she was able to ride an apex predator of the forest, and not only ride, but be approached by one who solicited her spiritually. Palulukan isnt as revered as Toruk, but still respected in terms of giving them space and recognizing their niche. Since they are so feirce and territorial, and Neytiri was approached by one (likely as a call from Eywa), it would make sense she be revered in her clan as legendary in a similar way to toruk, an equally fierce and territorial creature but of the sky rather than the land.
I personally think Avatar should have been written so that Neytiri would be a Legendary Makto (preferably the only one if there was to be just one), but tbh it might as well be confirmed that she already is since she rode a thanator in battle and can show for it with a witness. Shame the palulukan couldnt survive Quaritch's attacks because it would have been more satisfying to see both Jake AND Neytiri be recognized as legendary figures together at some points in the movie with the creatures they made tsaheylu with, especially the very end after the resolution of the war.
I hope this very important story lore isnt abandoned in the sequels so Neytiri can have a better treatment and recognition than just constantly suffering unimaginable trauma and being betrayed.
