I want to share the thought I researched on haechan..he is a successful idol for his age nd he is good at singing and great at dancing...even their choreo master praised him as he is the first one to learn the dance fast nd his movement are very neat..he even included haechan in his team if he ever to make a 5 member team..ye ofcrs when 127 performs he does stand out to me..especially when his sexy moves dominates the stage..but what amazes me is that he doesnt attracts me when he is alone...dont take it badly..(I really hate to admit it as his fan tho) ..but the stage presence I got even from doyoung (he is way behind in dancing if we compare with haechan that's why I took him as an example) I dint get it from haechan...he nor dominate the stage nor give the spark.as his fan it really makes me wonder..how is to build up the stage presence....what I am saying is some ppl get the vibe only from standing in the centre..becoz of their aura..is it naturally getting or to make...I dont knw...he can entertain,be funny ,make contents everything.. .he is really good...but he stand out only when he is doing smthng with his grp..for me....just my opinion...nd that's really sad...

First of all, I think different people understand stage presence differently. Some pay more attention to the aura, others to facial expressions, yet another to movements and execution of a choreo.

Hwanwung from Oneus is an interesting case. Some really like his dancing and praise him for his stage presence, make an example of him, I like him as a person and a vocalist but find him very over the top, trying too hard to be liked, to show off, to be worthy of being called the main dancer (similar to Jungwoo). He is frankly on the cringy side.

Very few people in NCT have stage presence (enough to stand alone on the stage, of course almost all of them are much more expressive and experienced than average idols). I think in part because there are so many introverts in the group, in part because they didn't need to master it being a part of a group. Like take Taeyong, he is a timid guy, he even skipped school because he didn't have friends in high school, didn't blend in. He is still awkward. However, he was first made to evolve into a prospective trainee (learn dancing and rapping) and later pushed into the leader position. Taeyong had to learn how to be the liason between the management and the group, how to be a spokeperson, how to be a hyung to all the younger neos (he really liked being in Super M because, for a change, he was taken care of by 3 older artists he looked up to).

Haechan wants to be a singer-songwriter, maybe he will choose an image that doesn't need a lot of dancing. Or maybe he will work on it. Plus, solo artists perform with a group of backdancers.

As for the aura. Haechan slouches and he doesn't work with his face. Some idols can get away with it if their faces look fierce with make up (like Jae) or very pretty, Haechan's resting face is a bit sour.

Haechan is a show stealer in the group in my eyes, but thanks to his movements.

We, people, are hierarchial animals. We look up to those who are higher than us, they are important. The verbal language evolved late. We still rely a lot on non-verbal signals. The gaze, the posture, the attitude, the way others react to the person in question (their approval, popularity points), the marking of the rank (a crown, bodyguard, expensive clothes), the confidence. All of it makes "the aura".

Doyoung knows it, he works on it. Everyone noticed his upgrade with acting facial expressions after the musical. He worked for DJJ, mastered poses and gestures for the choreos. I guess Haechan is focused more on the dancing (everyone knows he watches his fancams all the time). It is hard to notice something about yourself as you are biased or too focused on certain details.

You can say Doyoung has had the experience which Haechan lacks. He was a vocalist of a school band, he was MC of many big shows, he had duets and solos in big arenas, he acted in tv-series and a musical outside of the circle of his bandmates. Doyoung also doesn't believe in his looks or dancing, he feels the need to compensate with something to be liked, to stand out.

So let's not give up on Haechan just yet. I believe he just needs to be left to stand alone on the stage to learn how to dominate without the help of a group.

Taeyong, Taemin - both switch off their childish personal self and "become possessed" on the stage. Donghyuk is still with Haechan on the stage.

like here's the thing. people dont need to ACT a certain way to be considered men like thats ridiculous if youre a man youre a man regardless of how you act or what u say or what bits you have. same for any gender. which is why i generally think critiquing the cringey wattpad fics is a slippery slope. however, do i also think a lot of them have a very distinct cishet girl fantasy..... yes. but its embarrassing to write Y/N fic. so theyve gotta vent their desires somehow which is like fine i dont give a shit what people write. (as much as it bothers me how uncritically people read it and get it popular) but sometimes in a/b/o especially....... its VERY clear when your biases come out. which is why its sooooooooo obvious when someone who has never met real life queer people writes it. for example grouping "women and omegas" like they fill the same role despite being different subgenders when u could specify like. omegas and female betas. if u wanted. implying that women are still women even if theyre alpha but omegas are not men anymore. you get me? the fact that u decided to include male/female gender essentialism in the fic genre specifically around Not doing that is so unbelievably on the nose. and yet i see it everywhere. (i also think this is a symptom of people never having read other fandoms tho. they dont even know about gock [girl cock]).

also fics where the major antagonists are a group of girls that harrass jimin r super mean bc god we cant have a MAN do that or he's a predator. you get me? and the alpha jk who is quiet and broody and doesnt even HAVE to fight bc he's soooooooo strong the other alphas are just scared of his vibes. like you know the type of fic im describing. in general whenever the major antagonist of the fic is a bunch of women who also want to fuck jk (which like. if we're supposed to believe jk is soooo hot... like. they should?) and the author calls them a "gaggle" of women and emphasises how they "giggle" and their high pitched unpleasant voices..... brother we have some serious internalised misogyny to unpack with that one.

BACKSTORY

haneul madison ko was born september 18, 1999 to two immigrant parents from S.K. her birth name is haneul, but she went by the name madison since it was easier to pronounce + madi began to almost detest her culture??

it was just that growing up she would sometimes get bullied for looking different at her school, for the way her packed lunches smelled/looked, the way people would stare if she spoke korean to her parents, how other kids would make fun of her english since she didn’t pick up on vocab/grammar as quickly since she didn’t practice at home with her parents. she just became SO insecure about it that she rejected her culture. she wouldn’t bring her mom’s food to school, if her mom ever forced her to take it she’d throw it away and choose to starve instead. she wouldn’t speak korean back to her parents in public, barely even in private (which reeaaallly upset her parents). this also REALLY destroyed her korean language skills. she can understand still, but she can barely hold a basic conversation anymore.

as she grew up, and continued this sense of distancing herself from her culture, she ultimately distanced herself from her family. which left her feeling - - alone often, even though it was all due to her own choices. in this loneliness, she found her escape in music. she would wear headphones constantly through the halls, in car rides, in her room when her parents yelled at her to turn the music down. she just loved music. she saved up the money her parents gave her whenever she worked at the nail salon (her parents owned it!!) to thrift an old keyboard. she became self-taught by trying to copy melodies of songs she’d listen to, thrifting piano lesson books, staying after school with the music teacher learning to play. sometimes she’d even skip lunch to sit in the chorus room with her choir director and play.

it’s not that she had a LACK of friends growing up, maybe just that she lacked a best friend. she had a lot of friends, but no one that she felt so connected to in the way she felt connected to music. perhaps, she was addicted to her loneliness.

she spent a lot of time playing the piano and dabbling in writing music that her grades started to fall (not that she was ever the BEST student) and her parents literally took away her piano. they said it was a waste of time because they wanted her to focus on doing well, so she could get into a good university, and then live a good life. music was just a distraction

but that didnt work

she would sneak out into the city to go to concerts and poetry readings. she’d sneak out and go to indie songwriters scenes while her parents thought she was at the library with one of her school friends

This underground scene had her full heart!! she was surrounded by likeminded people who just lived for music. she was hearing all of these incredible people who were all looking for their start. maybe not looking for anything at than just to sing their songs. tbh i think this was the point she was happiest. she was completely enveloped in music, just for the sake of music. There wasn’t any pressure, just music. Just the songs. she was wide eyed looking at this whole underground scene of artists. So maybe some plots from these underground charas?!

she’d perform some songs at karaoke nights and the indie sessions, and a producer took a keen interest in one of her songs. basically im kind of stealing halsey’s career start, but she posted a song Came in Close on SoundCloud and just blew up overnight. in the morning, she woke up to a record label asking her to fly to LA for a meeting.

and thus, Madison Ko began a career as Madi Ko where she’d release her debut album, Honey, a few months later. (DISCOGRAPHY HERE). her music is very 80s synth inspired!

PERSONALITY

right off the bat, madi is an absolute firecracker!! she’s loud, bursting with personality, has a lack of inhibitions that CHAOTICALLY mixes with her spontaneity

part of this is projecting her insecurities. she felt lonely as a child but doesn’t want to be seen as that to the world. it’s not so much a persona but an exaggeration of who she was.

she likes to show off her glam bc it, once again, hides her insecurities.

the 1: i totally called the tone of this album. I also love how all the album is in lowercase. this is such a sweet song! melancholy but beautiful. however, joe???? is she good? are they good? um hello I need to do some research about who this is about bc its beautiful but also sad. God I love Taylor Swift. She truly is the greatest songwriter of this century.

WHAT A ROLLERCOASTER OF EMOTIONS. I wish i could unhear the previously released songs so i could experience this album in its entirety. THAT WOULDVE BEEN AMAZING. also i really love their songwriting on this album bc it shows their maturity and i feel like this really is their most personal one yet. i think for me, it’s more like summer night vibes than day? and the night edition was like autumn night vibes? idk if that makes sense lmao but that’s how i hear it. also they said this was more like meet the vamps with all the guitars but… where? I mean I guess the songs are more focused on the instruments but still far from MTV. But at the same time, I’m not expecting it to be. I understand their need to grow and evolve as artists (i hope everyone does too).

That being said, I still think this is a very solid effort from the boys. I applaud them for being able to write songs that shows maturity and at the same time be able to pour out their emotions through it. Releasing a great album every year and touring all over the world is a great feat for a fairly young band like them so I respect that a whole lot. And maybe we’ll never go back to the MTV era but they are creating music they love, bringing out bops after bops, getting recognized for their hard work and honestly, I couldn’t be more prouder of them.

Ok this is super long but this is something I came up with for the comic aka The Bombers

The Bombers

The Bombers who are referenced to have been in the battle of the bands from the beginning and ended up as a runner from it first appear as an opening act for the Stingers but it turns out oh noes! they have gotten really good in the time since then. Much like the Holograms are to the Misfits, they end up in a feud with the Stingers when their lead singer insults them over a minor issue. Thus beginning more drama for all three other major bands

some more facts

I made them Stingers rivals because I always wanted them to have a true blood rival .

They don’t have stage names like most of the Holograms.

They are the most co-ed band.

Their lead singer can sing higher notes than anyone else in the series (high C).

Also their bassist is the only charecter who is engaged or has a kid.

Only male drummer or guitarist.

In high school she was a member of the schools singing group despite being a backround member to the favored member of the group who always sang lead (is evantually she left the group becoming much more assertive probably a little too much so. In her early twenties, she began what became The Bombers.

One of the more subdueded members of the band, and the second to join, Leon had always been playing guitar since he was younger but only recently started playing it professionally. He is also insanely good at tennis to the point where no one else on the band will play him (it might also have to do with them accidentally getting hit in the face with the ball a few times, with at one point him hitting even Roxy with it, it didnt end well)

He is the second charecter to be transgender (FTM) but is not too open about it due to some negative backlash to it (including his best childhood friend rejecting him) he evantually does become good friends with Blaze.

Peri Murray

Peri is the resident eccentic of the band and suprisingly, the main songwriter. she is one of the more socially awkward charecters obsessed with Godzilla and telling people about her theories of aliens being real. She is also basically joined at the hip with Casey (the drummer ) and they are quite insufferable together.

Much like a few other charecters, Peri had a not so great childhood born into a ultra wealthy family, it was made clear from the beginning that her parents love was conditional in that she was expected to be a proper heiress. Unlike Pizzazzs parents who were never around Peris were always around to keep tabs on her to make sure she stayed in line. In elementry school she discovered the keyboard and wanted to play it but her family shunned this seeing this as an improper career. In middle school she met Casey, who lived there at the time and was the first person who unconditionally accepted her and encouraged her interest in the keyboard. She ended up forming a band in secret but her parents found out and kept an even tighter leash on her .

When she was 18 she ran away from home to California with only 140 dollars to her name and was reconnected with Casey they joined a band and were evantually discovered by Amy and Leon.

Her family has essentially written her off as dead to them but she doesnt care since her band is more of a family than they ever were to her

has to be some sort of urban legand monster every year for halloween and isnt allowed to hand out candy anymore after scaring the kids.

The aloofness was partially based off Zakuro from Tokyo Mew Mew as she wlll literally walk off mid conversation sometimes.

Is not meant to be read as Autistic (before you ask i’m autistic myself) but her eccentries are more due to her never having the oppertunity to have a normal childhood.

Casey Parsons

Casey is notorious for being increadibly high energy people often remark that someone like him is born for the drums. Sadly he is also known for keeping people up super late within the band as well.

Even as a child, Casey was known for his high energy levels and was frequently bullied for it. He evantually met Peri who was his only friend for a while until he had to move back to Sacremento he started out as a singer but soon found out he was quite a prodigy with the drums and joined a band once reconnected with Peri.

Facts

Yes, he is indeed meant to have ADHD. (I have it too so its partially based on experience.)

Has to see every superhero movie and no one would ever go with him to one again after he insisted on giving Fantastic 4 (and he ended up getting kicked out for heckling the charecters.)

He and Peri are so close that multiple people ask if they are dating yet.

The big male drama king of the series. (Riot doesnt scream every other word)

Gina Ercolani

Age 26

The mother bear of the group despite her intimidating apperence due to her many piercings and tattoos, is one of the nicest charecters in the series. This may be due to the fact she is the only charecter to have a child, she is also the only engaged charecter being so to their current manager.

Born into a Sicilian family in a meh neighborhood, Gina first started playing the guitar when she was in 7th grade. Out of highschool she ended up fronting a band and met her now fiance .

However one thing led to another and she ended up getting pregnant despite being only 22 at the time she decided to keep them with her leaving the band temporarly to do so. Unfourtuntatly, she leaves the band once she realizes they are treating her differently for having a child while not being married.

for a while her and her husband and child have to live in a one room apartment while raising money to move to LA. Leon ends up being the one to discover her while she is performing at a bar

Is pretty much the only one who can get Amy to shut up.

One of the few charecters who just want the bands to get along and is nice to everyone.

However she is truly terrifying if you try to hurt her band or child .(ESPECIALLY her child)

Feodor Yefmin

Can play guitar but is really their graphic designer.

Originally from Yakutsk, Sakha Republic, Russia but spent most of his life in Fairbanks, Alaska.

Feodor despite being able to sub in for guitar, and being in a band in the past his real talent lies in graphic design for the band.

Born in the SIberian city of Yakutsk (the coldest city in the world)he and his family emigrated to Fairbanks Alaska when he was two. Growing up he showed an interest in both art ,and music and showed promise in each. After graduating high school he went to LA to study graphic design and had a band on the side. He was then discovered yet it was the art ability which really convinced the Bombers to recruit him.

He is also increadibly annoyed by the fact Riot is apprentaly in love with him like your “charisma” is not impressing me, go away.

Is the first gay male in the series.

Very posessive of his laptop (thinks everyone is going to delete his stuff)

Also the first person that doesn’t fall for Riots flirting (although Jem is relieved he at least likes someone else)

Murray Backstory

so murray and bianca lived in same neighborhood cute fat kids in their class only fat kids sometimes they'd get teased early on like they gunna get married and they'd laugh it off like yeah w/e bianca has a pretty backyard with her own tiny garden she invites him over to help her out lifting bags of dirt cuz she lives with her aunty and she's brittle/can’t lift much over the years, murray starts to grow a crush on her bianca is always super sweet and never malicious, she is very caring person she even had a choice to live with her rich uncle or frail aunt and picked her cuz she thought she needed the most help so one day, some bullies sneak into bianca's backyard and smash up bianca's garden and that was just tip of iceberg bianca's aunt has a nasty fall and breaks her leg they end up having to move with her uncle cuz they can't provide for her in their tiny town but she never told murray cuz she didn't want him to worry about it he knows about the garden, not the moving part so he saves up all his money and in one night, replant a good chunk of what she had planted before it just so happened to be on the night before bianca left but then murray goes to school next week wanting to hear about her new garden but her friends all oh i guess she didn’t tell u but she moved away doesn’t believe them runs to her house to find it for the most part empty, she never had a whole lot in the house, all that mattered was that garden there's a note on the gate to the garden left for him thanking him and asking him to forgive her for not saying anything about the move he ends up keeping this note throughout his life but that kicks starts his spiral of depression he gets mad first and bitter for not saying anything to him questioning if they were ever really friends but he's just a teen, he's a very sensitive boy and bianca knew that no matter how much he tried to hide it by acting quiet and cool mad at himself for never telling her how he felt though it seemed obvious to everyone else, including Bianca as he grows up, he passes by her house every day to school has to start taking the longer route to avoid it checks on the garden he planted it's withering, close to dying he goes on to school by the time he's in hs, he's gone total cool quiet commando wrestle team captain but still really smart ends up being a part of poetry club as well which gets the babes babes start asking him out he sees quite a few of them after school and they tell their friends somewhere during that time, he bumps into tippo and serenity they like hey we heard you're a decent writer, we need a songwriter for our band, u interested Murray like yeah maybe Serenity’s shitty hs band only consists of her, Tippo and Murray Murray as bass player Im sure Anit is invited to be in the band as well but they're maybe unsure of their potential Anit goes to college later on, Murray takes over drums for the songs that need it most the songs don't require them as much Murray also in charge of odd instruments kazoo, triangle, tamborine, digiridoo, rainstick Murray finishes hs but doesn't go off to college gets lots of girls for his looks and mute demeanor plenty of them prolly groupies of shitty hs band that's the name of the band "shitty high school band" has a gang motif they usually only play one gig a month 2 if they really wanna but for Murray it's a decent distraction then one of their so-called fans, a Roselia, says she's been a fan since their beginning but Murray never takes the compliments to heart he doesn’t recognize her but they fuck and later she finds him *consisting of 8 cities, lame ass tour but BEFORE ROSELIA CALLS HIM he's performing at a stadium in the desert think south west, arizona, new mexico fans come up to him and he does the schtick of pleasing the crowds but then he catches a glimpse of someone familiar then bolts to them it's grown up Bianca has to stand up on her tippy toes to hug around his neck she still fat but she swoons like look at u~ you got sick muscles now you could be one of the security guards murray departs from rest of gang to go off with her looking at the clear vast desert skies at night catching up all night murray debating bringing up her note he gets some closure by telling her he forgives her for leaving without a word but is still hesitant to bring up his past feelings to her now that he's been around the countryside and banging a lot of girls along the way, he feels very dirty being in front of her again and she's literally unchanged then he decides he gunna do it he gunna come clean but then she sneezes her familiar cute baby kitten sneeze when she wipes her nose, he sees a ring like ....... that's new :I oh yeah, I met him while I was going to school he didn't go to school with me he was the son of my uncle's gardener after I would come home, he'd be there helping his dad and I brought them drinks and sometimes I'd help them too uvu my uncle would scorn me, telling me it's their job to she seemed to already fit into them they were always dirty from being outside sure enough, she's wearing boots, different pairs, but same brand/style and they are worn and muddy even shows her a they have the time :> the next morning, Murray gets the call being around bianca that one night has sparked something in murray he's not sure what to call it but maybe from seeing the baby picture, he maybe felt a bit of remorse again for himself if things were different maybe that could have been our baby remorse for the child that IS his like I didn't love this woman, now I have a responsibility to raise it cuz I know going in, this lady is gunna be trouble and everyone else knows it too keeps Serenity on speed dial when he has to get Leila out of there quick KALA ALSO HAPPENS TO BE A SWEET TENDER LADY WHO ALSO HAPPENS TO BE ROUND AND CURLY HAIRED HE'S GOT A TYPE Murray winds up having to put his visit with Bianca someday on hold

ProfessorBees working mom as a stripper Murray stay at home dad and part time repair guy or construction mom works day shift daddy has to work at night then the wife finds Murray's note and address card from Bianca burns them then takes Leila like I knew you never loved me after all I've given you she clearly drunk Murray has his phone on 911 and on speaker as soon as she out the door, leila in the car crying dont u worry sweetheart, i'll make sure he doesnt hurt us again >:0 but baby leila reaches out to daddy trying to escape mom idk how his phone would be on speaker if this is early 90's late 80's? maybe just leaves phone handle down and towards angry wife doesnt know what to do she just slammed the door he immediately tells the cops his address and reporting of kidnapping then furious dials serenity and tippo to call them whats up too then mad dash to his own car and chase after wife but then crosses a dinky bridge, and sees almost if it was in slow motion, her car hit the side of the bridge and it flips over and it bursts into flames murray reaching inside desperately, manages to find baby Leila's car seat easily slips her out as she was only half buckled in, thankfully is still alive and no open wounds is about to go back for his wife, but the car's weight and flames wear strain the car cabin's support and it crushes down Murray holding baby Leila refusing to let her go waiting on the other side of the bridge for police/firemen/paramedics to check on this small baby his ex-wife did not survive the crash but Leila only had a few bruises Murray decides he's not going back to that horrid apartment full of broken memories buys a house from his old neighborhood one with dusty old items and a little dusty garden in the backyard he starts with expanding Bianca's garden from a small gated corner to the majority of the backyard, completely covering it with dirt and plants then starts to work on remodeling the house it's small but it's just him and Leila so it doesn’t have to be huge breaks down a few walls to make it more open finds a few of Bianca's old belongings puts them in a shoebox he no longer has her address but he's got it memorized by now he'll deliver them personally when he's got stuff sorted out it's nothing of huge importance her dishes, bowls, lunchbox, maybe her kid needs something of her mother’s? Leila sees the box from time to time but doesn't know a Bianca so in her early years, makes her up like she's an imaginary friend it makes Murray's heart bleed how much little leila acted like he did when he was a kid trying to act cool/quiet but of course his face always :I :'I and continues to do so for the most part ends up going to a community garden to get tips from fellow gardeners and meets a lady who's there for a weekly course she recently had a miscarriage and is taking this class as a therapy but so far, only proceeds to depress her a bit as she knows nothing about plants and her crop is wilting Murray helps her out a lot and they seem to really hit it off younger staff at garden center ship them hardcore and Kala even invites them to wedding lmao Murray just wants close family and friends Kala brings her family plus the ones who shipped them from the start Leila super >:I for a new mommy *cling to her she mine now, dad off with you we have things to discuss like who's gunna get me more cake? >:I *grabs at wedding cake gimme murray and kala put her down lEila like nO wrONG direction Leila like what 4-5? old enough to know she getting her very own mom look ferro I got one >:I *shows off tall round mom Murray invites Bianca and family too but only Bianca shows up and gives Leila a toy too Leila like thanks stranger Bianca getting her shoebox of old treasures back and Murray telling stories of young Leila pretending to have a friend based off of u Bianca finding this all wonderful that he came back to her garden and just made it bigger and also renovated that drafty house into something much more fit for a family tl;dr bittersweet murray backstory I made up in the span of 2 hours?
