So we talk about the linked universe boys a lot but we never see anything on the princesses. Like... where's the headcanons on them?

I wanna see Lullaby sneaking off as Shiek to hunt monsters with Time when court life becomes too much and complaining to Malon about the stupidity of the other nobles and how they fuck things over for everyone else but she can't just smack them over the head or overrule their policies because then she'd become a "tyranny" if she did that.

I wanna see Fable being an absolute menace to her Knights as payback for how they treat her brother but nobody believes then because she's a perfect angel for everyone else and she and Holda working together to study magic and learning to defend themselves so that Legend doesn't have to save them for what seems like the 100th time.

Sun using her memories as Hylia to be a cryptic little shit just for the funsies and kicking everyone's ass in spars because she's a knight too and a damn good one at that!

Flora and Purah are researching buddies and absolutely asking like a billion questions about everyone's timeliness and Symin having to drag the both of them by the scruff of their shirts out of the lab or back from the wilderness

Dusk having holidays in Ordon and Kakariko for similar reasons and practicing her archery, not quite going rogue but working alongside the Resistance to pick up her own soldier's slack.

Artemis just kicking ass and taking names as she continuously works to weed out the corruption that was brought to light by Cia's invasion.

Aurora and Dawn being sisters and helping each others trauma while trying to rebuild the kingdom's history and army so Hyrule doesn't have to work so hard.

Tetra being the badass pirate queen she is and also being a terrible influence on Aryll as a surrogate big sister so she can gleefully hold the fact over Wind's head, who is upset because HE wanted to be the one to teach Aryll how to swear!

I love all of these so much, especially the girls I'm familiar with. The idea of Lullaby sneaking out and fighting alongside Time while also chilling at the ranch and having girl time with Malon is amazing. I always adore seeing Sun get to, well, shine and show that she too is a knight - and that she fought in a war as Hylia! No one remembers Hylia fought in a war to save everyone before she ever asked for help from a hero!

All of this is delightful. <3 When I have more brain cells to spare I will make some fun ideas of my own.

This ask does remind me that I need to make a post about the Zelda personalities, though, so thank you for that too!

teach me about the hyrule warriors lore in the worst and most confusing way possible please

Hoo boy, let’s give this a go

So there’s this seer who gets to watch all of the time lines, and whilst watching those time lines she’s like “H u h. That Link guy is pretty cute. And I would like for him to love me. But it won’t happen because I’m a seer and we’ll never interact and even if we did Zelda exists, etc.

But Ganon's spirit presense thing is there and it's like "okay but what if you just got with him anyways" and it split said seer in half (now we have Lana, aka good Seer, and Cia, aka evil Seer)

And so the whole universe kind of breaks and merges several parts of other Zelda timelines together! Fun!! Anyways Cia is on a mission to go free Ganon's soul bits that are separated in different time lines so she can marry Link, but she decides that, if she's going to break into a bunch of highly guarded places to release Satan, she needs an army.

So she finds the worst fucking guy (Wizzro) (affectionate) and Volga (A dragon/human who has no desire whatsoever to help her) and forces them to team up with her. Also she kills like. So. So many gorons in the process.

They run over to Hyrule Castle to fuck shit up and kill Zelda cause they're evil and they gotta, and shenagins ensue. Everything is bad, Zelda and Impa are doing their best to fight, at some point Link comes out to help and that's how they figure out he's the fabled hero of legend or whatever, and they use a giant magic fairy who giggles in what I'm going to say is an uncomfy way and said fairy explodes half of the bad guys with a magic bomb. At some point Zelda disappears and everyone assumes she got kidnapped. I don't actually remember what happened.

ANYWAYS so Impa is like "Hey cool you're the hero, the princess got kidnapped and we need to go get her, come on" so they start following Cia's army and find Shiek, who is just Zelda, and who also does not tell anyone that they are Zelda.

Anyways I don't remember how most of this goes, but there's lots and lots of in fighting on Cia's side, it's delightful, no one is loyal and they're all selfish and or angry.

At some point Lana pops up to help team good guys, she helps collect other good guys, like Mida, Darauna, Ruto, Agitha, etc. At some point Midna punches Cia and knocks her mask off (Cia has a mask) and Midna is like "WOW HEY YOU HAVE THE SAME FACE AS LANA" and Lana is just like "hmmmmmmmmm yeah, I'm ashamed of it, but we're the same person" and then we move on

Meanwhile Cia is building her army, getting fun baddies like Ghirahim and Zant to side with her. It's great. Anytime Ghirahim and Zant are on screen is a good time.

Eventually Link gets the master sword and beats Cia with it, but it also turns out that was the last soul seal thing for Ganon. So he's alive again. So naturally, he takes over as the main baddie and discards Cia (so now there are three teams! Team goodies, team baddies, and team dysfunctional idiots)

Ghirahim and Zant are on Ganon's side now, Volga wants to 1v1 Ganon cause "ooooo strong guy", Wizzro wants to defect to Ganon's side (pretty sure Ganon told him no) everything is on fire, and Cia is dying because Ganon's soul was the only thing keeping her alive. So now she also wants him dead.

Lots of stuff happens, fun villain shenagins, Ganon dies, Ghirahim and Zant are pissed off and I thiiiiiink they just run away?? Don't remember. There's a delightful scene when the heroes are celebrating and Link and Zelda give eachother the look tm and Lana looks SO SAD about it. Like trying to smile but if you even tried to look at her she'd start sobbing.

Anyways Lana sends everyone back to their timelines but UHOH Toon. Ghost... Ganon?? Wants to fight so that's an issue, and Cia is fighting him too for reasons I do not recall. I'm pretty sure it's so she can live or something. Oh also she's a good guy now, everyone just had to sit down and talk it out. She's still dying btw.

Heroes kill Ghost Guy Ganon and I'm 99% sure that Cia and Lana merge back into one person again after sending everyone (again) to their respective time lines and then Seer goes back to magic seer land. I guess. That's Hyrule Warriorsssss!

At least as I remember it, it's been a long while since I've played it

People love lists and so does Google and what is better than a list of THE GREATEST GI JOY A REAL AMERICAN HERO TOYS OF ALL TIME? Not much. Considering it’s possibly the greatest toy line of all time. To clarify - this is a list of the top 20 great figures, not necessarily characters. I will also try to avoid cliches like Storm Shadow and Snake Eyes and Roadblock and Duke since obviously these are cool figures but way too mainstream. We want hipster shit and there are literally hundreds of Cobra and GI Joe figures to choose from that were made between 1982-1994. With that said...

#20 - Hit & Run

The coolest of the “hey it’s a green camo army man” figures, and boy were there a lot of them, Hit & Run COMES WITH AN M-16 LOOKING THING AND A DUFFEL BAG WITH A WORKING GRAPPLING HOOK. Sold.

#19 - Range Viper

The first of the Vipers on this list is not the last. Range Viper is a unique figure that features some sort of brain helmet and was creatively a big swing by Hasbro that resulted in a grand slam. Creepy and menacing and awesome - you don’t fuck with Cobra’s wilderness troopers.

#18 - Undertow

Maybe the coolest water-themed figure in the entire GI Joe line - this Viper-adjacent bad ass came with a fuckin’ barracuda. Great color scheme and some serious ‘underwater ninja assassin’ vibes to this one.

#17 - Raptor

An odd choice from the beloved 1987 class of figures, Raptor is just so damn unique. A former accountant turned evil Cobra falconer, what’s not to love. HE THINKS HE’S A BIRD.

#16 - Zartan

Zartan doesn’t even look like a GI Joe figure but in a good way - he’s a master of disguise and leader of the Dreadnoks. This figure changed color in heat and comes with a creepy removable face mask because of the whole MASTER OF DISGUISE THING. 

#15 - Alley Viper

This Florida Gator themed total bad ass is Cobra’s urban assault trooper. Sort of the anti-Range Viper. He comes with a gun and a giant shield and is universally beloved. The best figure of 1989.

#14 - Desert Scorpion

More Cobras because Cobras are obviously cooler than the actual GI Joe good guys. I’m not sure if Desert Scorpion existed before Mortal Kombat’s Scorpion but one definitely had an influence on the other. PLUS HE COMES WITH A PET SCORPION.

#13 - Beach Head

One of the most popular Joe characters and perhaps the main character of the 80s GI Joe cartoon, Beach Head looks bad ass, is from Alabama, and talks a bunch of shit in a southern drawl. 

#12 - Sgt. Slaughter

This is a pro wrestling blog so of course this post is going to feature fuckin’ Sgt. Slaughter BUT IN GI JOE FORM. There were a few different variations of Sarge produced, the version above with USA across his stomach is my favorite. He was also noticably taller than most other Joe figures and once sold his sold to the Iron Shiek only to then be bitch-slapped and legdropped by Real American Hulk Hogan. So there’s that.

#11 - William The Fridge Perry

Another real-life-person-turned-action-figure, IT’S THE FRIDGE. He scored a touchdown in the Super Bowl. Awesome figure - he comes with a sledge hammer type thing with a football on the end. 

#10 - Gnagahyde

Holy shit what a cool figure. Gnagahyde is an evil poacher who comes with a warthog named Clyde and has a knife that fits in his boot. Plus he has a sweet cheetah vest because he’s a poacher and a jerk.

#9 - Python Patrol Crimson Guard

A repaint of the already cool Crimson Guard (who was red, hence the name Crimson, anyway) except with an even better, very unique, color scheme. THE BEST OF THE PYTHON PATROL REPAINTS.

#8 - Night Force Shockwave

Perhaps the most beloved figure from post 1987, 1988′s Shockwave (original not pictured) is cool in his own right. He’s a SWAT team something or other, I dunno but he’s awesome. The 1989 repaint for the Night Force Toys R Us exclusive toy line took it up a notch and gave us an all timer with dark menacing realistic camo fatigues.

#7 - Viper ‘86

The prototype for all future GI Joe Vipers. Cobra henchmen. Yes please.

#6 - Firefly

Firefly is sort of the Boba Fett of GI Joe - a minor character who becomes insanely popular BECAUSE HE’S JUST SO BAD ASS. This figure could very well be #1 but it’s not but that’s okay. He’s a saboteur who works alone and gets paid by Cobra in his Swiss bank account or something. 

#5 - Chuckles

A controversial choice but I don’t care - Chuckles comes with a working gun shoulder holster AKA the coolest accessory of any GI Joe figure. He wears a Hawaiian shirt. He’s an international playboy spy or something. IN THIS HOUSE WE DO NOT TALK SHIT ABOUT CHUCKLES.

#4 - Tunnel Rat

There are several versions of Tunnel Rat to choose from but I’ll go with the original. His gimmick - a Vietnam style soldier who goes underground and uh kills Charlie in tunnels - is so bad ass and Hasbro did an awesome job with the aesthetic of this figure. POSSIBLY THE GREATEST JOE OF ALL.

#3 - Croc Master

More 1987. Some purists might have a problem with this but they can go kick rocks or suck an egg or something. Croc Master is responsible for CROCODILES AT THE COBRA PALACE and is a former burgler alarm salesman turned.... uh ..... crocodile wrestler. The figure kicks all kinds of ass and comes with a croc and a whip so there’s that.

#2 - BAT

BAT is a near-consensus #1 on most people’s lists but this is my list and he’s #2 with a bullet baby. HE’S A COBRA ROBOT and the black and yellow aesthetic is just flawless. Plus he comes with a bunch of interchangeable devices for his hand. He would be number 1 but he’s not because....

#1 U.K. EXCLUSIVE TIGER FORCE OUTBACK

The original Outback figure is cool BUT THEN THEY DROPPED TIGER FORCE OUTBACK IN THE UK AND NOT IN AMERICA and the world ended. He’s a grizzled survivalist hermit dude with a tiger face on his t shirt, a big gun, a flashlight on his leg and packs full of survival stuff. THE GOAT GI JOE FIGURE AND A HIPSTER CHOICE FOR BEST FIGURE EVER. Just look at him. Life goals.

Courage!gannon is the prince/next in line chieftan- he had thorough training by the gerudo army, but the current chieftaness sent him to hyrule kingdom to get more training, where he met wisdom!link, they both trained together under the royal guard. Wisdom!link also trained under the sheikah where he unwittingly met power!zelda.

power!zelda is the big bad of their hyrule, she is actually the leader of the yiga clan, she is a master of disguise, she is easily able to blend into an area, she is a flawless liar, easily being able to convince people that she is telling the truth. She disguised herself as a sheikah to get information from the royal family. (Dont know if she would go by shiek- thats up to you >:3c)

Prompt: Makeup, wigs, and disguises. 

“How much do you want to bet Phasma’s going to be a flapper this year?” Hux called out, finishing the dramatic makeup that transformed him into one of the world’s most famous Martians- Ziggy Stardust. 

Kylo brushed out his hair and put on the fake walrus mustache he was to wear with his hippie costume. He and Hux were invited to Phasma’s decades themed Halloween party, with both of them representing the 70s- made obvious by the striped jumpsuit and red platform boots Hux proudly donned. His red hair was hidden by a scarlet mullet wig, and a golden sun was painted on his forehead as he channeled one of his musical idols (besides Stan Getz and Beethoven)- David Bowie. 

“Probably ten bucks. So, Armie Stardust, where are the Spiders from Mars?” Kylo asked teasingly, putting on an old love bead necklace he found at a thrift shop. 

“You know I can’t stand them- spiders, that is,” Hux said, adding some glitter he borrowed from Phasma to give himself a more futuristic look. “Well, I would ask some other guys to be the Spiders, but I figure I shouldn’t be ordering them around now. So I figure I’ll just ride solo for the night.”

“Thank God you didn’t shave off your eyebrows,” Kylo said with a smirk, noticing the incredible way that Hux made his eyebrows seem to disappear. That again was help from Phasma- and a YouTube video. “As for the hair, you decided to go with a wig, I see.”

“Look, I love Bowie, but I refuse to shave off my eyebrows,” Hux said with a smirk. “You know, originally I was going to do the Thin White Duke or The Man Who Sold the World. But Ziggy’s less obscure, and that might give me a shot at winning the costume contest,” he said, admiring the finished makeup job in the mirror. “Also, I would use hair extensions, but it would look hideous. I think the wig would make it look slightly better and much more professional. Shall we, Jim?” he asked, smirking slightly. 

“Indeed we shall,” Kylo replied. The couple both went downstairs and headed off into the night to Phasma’s house party. When the couple arrived at the party, they were greeted by Phasma, who was clad in a silver dress covered in fringe and sequins. Platinum blonde hair was styled in a perfect Marcel wave, and her blue eyes were lined in kohl- which made Hux think she looked a little bit like a raccoon. 

“Well, don’t you two shieks looks swell!” she said, getting into character with a smile. “Come on in, boys, I’ll get you something to drink.” In the end, Kylo and Hux were the proud victors of the costume contest thanks to their seventies disguises, which both boys rewarding the other with a passionate kiss.

Yet another Zelda game idea

Blah blah blah there is peace in the game because it’s too hard to revive ganon, the seal is still new and powerful. This game takes place in one of the timelines, haven’t decided that yet. Whose the next evil person to revive??

Mad queen Zelda

Mad queen Zelda origins

A hundred or 200 years ago give or take there was a princess Zelda, cause they always name their baby girls Zelda. Except she didn’t wield the triforce and thought she was suppose to.

She prayed and prayed but to no avail there was anything

Luckily there wasn’t a ganon or a link born so life was okay.

But mad queen Zelda was obsessed with recreating Hylia’s curse. So what did she do?

Ruin relations with the Gerudo. She tried to get her army behind her searching for the male Gerudo who she thought would be ganon, but he wasn’t. I kinda wanna pretend this male gerudo is a child.

She also refuses to look for the hero because she tells everyone if there’s a hero he’ll show up. If there’s not, she’s already the hero.

However as time goes on, no body supports mad queen Zelda and want her to be happy to not be living in a time without calamity. Well she’s not, goes insane, and they quietly put her to rest(they excueted her and tried to make it look like she was just ill)

Who took over after Mad queen Zelda? Her younger sibling. There isn’t gonna be much on the younger sibling other than they were like 7 or 8 year younger, so they lacked a lot of power, was apart of putting mad queen Zelda down, and was against a lot of her policies. They did love her, but they wanted peace.

Back to the plot of the game

Princess Zelda is alive and well. No body is pressuring her about the triforce of wisedom, until she hears the voices. Now they’re like “oh shit calamity is coming”

Gerudo relations are recovering again but it’s not perfect.

Link currently works at his family shrine to the goddesses, and has a sword. They teach him about the history of the land, and sometimes he fights off spirits at night. He might have parents, grandparents, siblings, he just has a family. It’s normal for families to have more than one child to send one off to the army. Mad Zelda policy (maybe?) Link will probably be that.

The evil sprits are the skullkids(the skeletons that come out at night) they’re not awful just more of a nuisance.

Link and Zelda meet when she is on her search for the hero and finds the hero of time at the shrine. She’s called into the shrine to pray (by the voices) link goes in because his triforce is reacting with her. They stare at each other and then impa is like “you’re the hero”.

Link goes back to castle town where they celebrate finding the hero. His family hugs him good by but know he’ll be back. They throw a festival in the honor of finding the hero.

Then like a Disney queen, lighting strikes and a lively corpse makes her apperance. It’s mad queen Zelda. She says that triforce of wisedom should be hers, and she’s gonna take it from princess Zelda.

Link actually successfully protects Zelda. But now everyone is mad because they’re reminded of the dark history of mad queen Zelda and she’s revived.

Link and Zelda want to investigate, so they do the next day.

The gerudo heard the mad queen is back, and think it’s actually the proncess Zelda poessed by mad queen and is ready to declare war on Hyrule.

To deal with this, they just send a troop at the boarder.

The gorons have a monster that they’re dealing with (send from the queen???). Link and Sheik go to dispose of it. They want to make sure their alliance is still good with the gorons, considering the controversy, the gorons say they’ll open up business with the Hylians again if they get rid of the monster.

It’s a dungeon that has Shiek actually help (maybe solving puzzles or allowing the game to be two player)

They actually have troubles beating the monster, but a tall stranger does help. Zelda asks who they are, but they break a rock to rock surf off the mountain.

After that the gorons ask if link is gonna have a legendary sword. They ask him if he knows where it is or if he can even wield it. Goron chief says if Link can’t find it, he’ll personally make a better sword for him.

They go to the lost woods where shocking it’s another dungeon. However at the lost woods Shiek gets separated. (Leaning on this being one player, but if it’s two player she can stay)

Link finds the deku tree and he now wields the sword. The deku tree reveals mad queen Zelda is only a puppet for someone worse. He doesn’t know who, but Link must look past that. They’re the one who sent whatever in the lost forest

Link finds Shiek with impa. They chill with the kokori for the night to heal. Shiek was injured maybe...

Zoras are now pissed because they hear a hero has been found (which means they’re gonna loose their princess) and they Hyrule army is attacking them. Turns out it’s a ghost army led by none other mad queen Zelda, who surprising looks younger. She tells the hero to find her, because she really wants to beat him up. The Zoras were forced out of lake Hylia and they stand on the shore to let the two triforce holders know. They refuse to let link through. The stranger appears and removes his hood to reveal a new young male gerudo. For name sake let’s call him ganon. Ganon tells the Zoras to let link and Shiek through to help the Zoras. They wanna know why the prince gerudo would help the Hylians espically now.

Ganon is sick of this tragedy he explains.

Ganon and Shiek help guide link to the water temple, past the ghost army to help him reach mad queen Zelda. Ganon and Shiek actually cant enter the fight

Mad queen Zelda blames the hero for hiding too long to avoid his destiny to help her seek out the evil and kill ganon together. Some fighting goes on and link “defeats”. She blames him for not letting her become a true queen Zelda that saves all of Hyrule. Ganon breaks through and says the last prince gerudo wasn’t even named ganon, and did not possess the triforce of power. He also states that mad queen Zelda is dead and is nothing more than a corpse.

Mad queen Zelda wants to kill this ganon but stops herself for an unknown reason

Shiek gets in and says she this era’s wise princess and shows her triforce while wielding an arrow at the mad queen. She’s also sick and tired of the mad queen staining the Hyrule history and doesn’t want to deal with it twice.

The wizard who revived mad queen Zelda reveals himself. Not official name but let’s call him Greg. Greg reveals this is what he needed and he tells mad queen Zelda to get Link and princess Zelda

Mad queen actually attacks Ganon only being consumed with rage, but she does manage to hurt Link too in the process, but she’s more focused on ganon. Greg is pissed and goes head to head with Zelda, and manages to kidnap her. He also release a bit of mad queen power back to himself so she’s weakened and Greg can escape.

Greg wanted both triforce of wisedom and courage, but only got wisedome. Whatever still a win.

Link and ganon escape and the Zoras are happy. Zora princess Naruto(heehehe get it??) Thanks Link and says he’d make a find Zora king. She then gives him some history on the Zora and a power up to his shield. She tells him she hopes he can save princess Zelda.

Ganon reveals his past as they travel. Ganon says the male gerudo before him was constantly hiding fearing the mad queens family. He wanted to have enough power to be free where he wants, and now to save princess Zelda. Link and Zelda may be bound by fate, but not ganon, he’s not gonna turn evil. They meet up at a Gerudos for peace protestors camp. Surpsiling an old Shiekan woman is there. The old woman tells them to go to the temple of time.

But before that they go to gerudo town and do a dungeon. There link learns why the gerudos hardcore don’t like the Hylians. One person was enough to hurt all of our people they tell him, that’s why one person can make a change. We meet Ganons mom who confesses she wants to be over protective but knows there’s no stopping a true king. He can’t be king yet though fearing the mad queen’s spirit still resides in the people of Hyrule.

They do and find a weak mad queen. She makes them look into her past. Link is ready to still end her, but ganon walks up to her. He calls her pathetic for believing in fate and wondered why he was ever scared of her.

The two leave her to die (?)

Also impa has been informed about what happened to Zelda and is mad worried but ganon explained to keep that under wraps for now.

Now blah blah some more dungeons

Final battle Greg reveals he can’t handle the triforce of power because he can’t handle it. He has wisedom and power just floating there, and he wants to send that power on Ganon. Link and ganon fight him and free zelda. Greg uses the las to of his power and forces ganon to turn into a monster. Zelda and link fight ganon and free him.

Greg some how still alive tries to unleash the triforce power on himself but mad queen Zelda saves the day. She begins to fade and apologizes to them all. though this was herself controlling her hatred and where it went she learned she was wrong and no hero. She wants to be remembered in history so it’s not repeated even if everyone will despise her, since she let out so much hate in the world she deserves it right back. She fades away.

Zelda becomes queen and ganon becomes king. Queen Zelda and king ganon are close friends till death along with link. Link actually goes back home a disappears for a hot minute and comes back. He’s allowed to travel freely and no longer has his sword.

The long wait for the reveal of the latest Super Smash Bros. Ultimate characters is finally over as Nintendo has announced that Mythra/Pyra will join the game’s astonishing collection of playable fighters.

Nintendo’s confirmation of the latest Super Smash Bros. Ultimate characters has prompted the usual reactions from franchise fans everywhere. Of course, that’s really another way of saying that there are legions of fans out there who are still (vocally) wondering why Waluigi, Geno, and Sora aren’t in the game despite years of requests. As nearly every Smash Bros. update has taught us, though, it’s hard to please everyone without acquiring the rights to nearly every character that has ever existed and then finding a way to add them to the fighting game.

Of course, there are many more who walked away from the Mythra/Pyra reveal with the simple question, “Who are Mythra and Pyra, and why are they in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate?”

Well, to answer that first question, Mythra and Pyra are characters from the Xenoblade series. They made their debuts in Xenoblade Chronicles 2 where they quickly established themselves as incredibly powerful figures who played significant roles in the series’ extensive lore. Interestingly, they’re also essentially the same character.

Actually, that’s kind of an oversimplification. You could consider Mythra to be the “base” character as she created the personality of Pyra following an intense moment of grief. Mythra hoped to seal her incredible power behind this personality as a kind of preventive measure. To cut through a lot of lore, things didn’t exactly work out that way. Pyra was uncovered after being held in stasis for around 500 years, and Mythra and Pyra spent some time swapping between each other as one was awakened in response to various scenarios.

That dynamic will be replicated in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as Pyra and Mythra will be presented as one selectable character who has the ability to swap between both personalities. If you’ve ever played as Zelda/Shiek in Smash Bros. Ultimate, you’ll be familiar with how the dynamic works from a rough mechanical standpoint.

Just like Zelda/Shiek, the choice to present the characters in this way is a surprisingly lore-friendly way to incorporate them both into the Smash Bros. experience. While we don’t have a full rundown of their respective abilities available as of yet, it should be noted that the two are relatively similar in terms of the attributes which would most readily apply to Super Smash Bros. (combat skills and equipment). It’s not entirely clear how certain personality differences such as Pyra’s excellent cooking abilities and Mythra’s amateur cooking abilities may be reflected in the game as a way to help distinguish the two, but if Nintendo can make a small army of Fire Emblem characters feel unique, we’re sure they’ll find a way to make the swapping mechanic work yet again.

As fans on Twitter are also pointing out, it’s interesting that Mythra/Pyra are being added to the game now as they were favorite characters of Etikia: a popular Smash Bros. player/streamer who passed away in 2019. While there’s been no confirmation that any recent character additions have been meant as a nod to the streamer, some fans in the game’s community are celebrating the idea that he would have enjoyed seeing these recent additions to the game.

Mythra and Pyra are expected to join the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate roster in March as DLC characters. They’re the most recent additions to the game’s Fighter Pass 2 collection, which so far has added Min Min, Minecraft Steve, and Sephiroth to the game’s roster. Three more characters are expected to be added to the game’s second Fighter Pass before the end of the year.

Would you mind if something like Four Swords Adventures had Non-Link playable characters? If not, what would you consider an acceptable place for Non-Link playable characters in a Zelda game?

I don’t even really want another Four Swords game. 

I’m fine with adventure games having a tacked-on co-op mode, but I think when the game is designed around co-operating in multiplayer, the level design suffers a lot, and they can be tedious to complete in single player mode.

Non Link playable character, in my opinion, would be best suited for spinoffs that don’t really play like a traditional Zelda game. 

Hyrule Warriors is a good example.

Here’s an example, a game starring Shiek that’s a hack and slash that’s more linear than traditional Zelda, based more on Shiek’s athletic abilites. 

It’s not the kind of game I’d want, since I don’t like the character or the Genre, but a turn based strategy game in the same vein as Valkyria Chronicles starring Zelda and the Hylian Army could be something that Nintendo could do.

Zelda could also star in a sims style kingdom builder.

I’ve always wanted a Zelda fighting game with a roster similar to, possibly even biggar than, Hyrule Warriors.

And if it weren’t for the fact that Pokemon already exists, I’d love to see an RPG starring a new character who recruits monsters from the Zelda series to fight by their side, something like Dragon Quest Monsters.

There’s a lot of possibilities for playable characters besides Link getting their own spinoffs, I’d just rather the main games stick to Link.

Like the original, activities in Destiny 2 are divided among player versus environment(PvE) and player versus player (PvP) game types. In addition to normal story missions, PvE features three-player "strikes" and six-player raids.
