this is a joke i promise i was 11 when i came up with this + angry at elmo so i wanted a reason to bully him

ive been like adding more to this “theory” throughout the years to make this sound stupider and stupider

Let’s start off with Elmo’s name, one thing to take into consideration is many writers like to name their characters after note-able characteristics. Example, Karkat’s name has Sanskrit origin. (Karkata which correlates with the zodiac cancer)

Moving along, Elmo’s name can be split up to two syllables. “El” and “Mo”. I’m going to pay attention to the second part of the name first. Have you ever heard “No mo’”? No mo means “no more”, mo being the shortened version of more.

As for the first part of the name, “El”, we know that el is a word used in multiple languages. In Spanish, el means “the”. (I *think* el in Spanish comes from Latin where el means “that one” rather than “the”)

Using the Spanish form of “El”, when you combine El and Mo you get “TheMore”. With this, we can infer MANY things about Elmo. For the sake of petty 11 year old me, let’s say this implies that this means that he’s made more of one component. “TheMore” simply cannot be singular, it has to be plural, right? Like I mentioned earlier, writers often name characters after something they’re related to.

Now that we have that massive stretch out of the way, let’s talk about Elmo’s physical appearance. Obviously, the dude is a monster no doubt. However, he’s a CANDY RED monster. The asshole has bright red fur. You know who else is associated with that same bright red? Karkat Vantas, Kankri Vantas, and The Signless. All MUTANT-blooded trolls from Homestuck. How sickening.

The Signless/Sufferer from Homestuck is sometimes referred to as “troll jesus” by fans. He was a MUTANT-blood that was known by other trolls for what he said and what he taught. Trolls in general, are very recognizable for their grey skin and orange horns. That’s two things Elmo counts as.

I think we all can understand that Elmo is influential in a way or another. Elmo has been used to teach children many life lessons. He helps children become smarter and stronger. He’s easily recognizable, and is an influence. That sounds pretty simillar to The Signless. Except Elmo isn’t dead.

Now that we can “conclude” that Elmo is a mutant of some sort, let’s dive into the question, “What exactly IS Elmo a mutant of?” Well, obviously he’s got to have SOME of whatever mutant-blood trolls have, but other than that younger me didn’t really think about that part. Shrug

OH That’s what I was thinking about. Only the Great Deku Tree knows when I’ll get a fairy because he knows everything that can be known, I think, or at least he knows everything worth knowing. He tells lots of stories. I love his stories. I wish I could tell stories too but the thing about stories is you have to tell them and I’m bad at telling things. I mean I do talk but a lot of times I say something wrong and then people look at me funny and I don’t understand because it made sense in my head but I guess the ride from my brain to my lips got the words jumbled a little bit, like when you fall out of a tree because you thought there was an extra branch but the thing is there wasn’t, so then you get bumped onto the ground and you hurt your knee and you want to cry but you can’t because Mido will make fun of you and you’re NOT a baby even though you’re the youngest Kokiri and anyway he cries a bunch more than you anyway so if anyone’s a baby it’s him and and and what was I saying? Oh yeah so that’s the reason I don’t talk so much because my words get all jumbly and that makes me scared that they’ll make fun of me. It’s a bunch better to think anyway. But sometimes thinking makes you scared because you think too much about something and then you cry and you wish you had a fairy because she’d make you feel better and she’d let you know that it would be okay.

Wait that’s what Saria does isn’t it? But Saria can’t be with me all the time like a fairy could. I’d like Saria to be my fairy. I wonder what she'd think about that.
