2x13, the pod squad meets a man in a cave and get a sense of déjà vu

Good Omens as Lego, part 2 (x)

1x02, Crowley shouts at his plants

I also thought it'd be fun to show the setup I used, so here it is!

My phone goes on the grey plate between the white bars to stay stable and the green plate is attached so it doesn't move. I rotated it (and removed the needed walls) for the different sequences.

And this is what I used to get a closeup of the plant. My phone went on top of the white structure so it could stay stable between the shots.

#this was very fun to make but also very stressful due to time #also please ignore the fact that in the show crowley keeps his spray bottle in his hand #i only noticed it after i shot all the sequences and did about 75% of editing #i dont have time to redo it so #i also dont own a mona lisa sticker so i went with one of the paintings from the hogwarts set #i tried to do camera pans for the first time i am happy with how it turned out but i definitely need to practice more #good omens #lego #stopmotion #good omens as lego #thesquidkid brickfilms #crowley

#the scene where crokey walks in the hallway was also technically done today #but i didnt like how it turned out when editing it in so i deleted it and ill redo it tomorrow (if i have time) #also that first sequence with crowley sitting on the throne was such a pain to do #i have zero practice with camera pans like this i hate it so much #thats also why i mostly gave up on camera pans later and went to cuts instead #but the pans do look nicer so thats a skill ill have to work on #thesquidkid brickfilms #good omens as lego #stopmotion #lego

After about 8h working on it, here is a first rough draft, with the Lego and the original side by side for comparison

Mime show in Lego

This was mostly for practicing my editing skills, namely for sound effects

I also built a setup which connects both a plate for minifigures to walk on and my phone to stand still, allowing for more fluid shots

As for the editing, I did what I could using the BBC sound effects (which is free to use, and rather easy to navigate), but there is for sure room for improvement

1x01, the first scene between Aziraphale and Crowley

#this was made with pieces i already own. i had to improvise #also the wings didn't stay in place when i used blue tack #they kept falling and it looked weird so i used the back piece but then they have those thingies on the shoulder #also this was my first time using this editor. i like it a lot but also theres so much idk how to use #so again. total improvisation here lmao #crowley doesnt change facial expression because i literally only own one face with those eyes #but i have a bunch of faces that could suit aziraphale so i had fun with his face #this is me coping with s2 #good omens #aziraphale #crowley #good omens 1x01 #lego #stopmotion #thesquidkid brickfilms #good omens as lego

In honour of me joining the discord server about 1 year ago, 1x05 Kyle and Alex discover the room beneath the cabin
