Band name: How did they and the others come up with the band name? Has the name changed since it was founded?

oh god, band name questions. This one is kinda a blank slate still..because ngl, during the playthrough I just created their band name in an instant and it just stuck with me! but, i believe they would have a different band name during their time with seven, but i shall get back to you on that! but, their current name is 'the renegades'. In my head, it sounds very cool - but, for significant wise; i did look it up the meaning of the word, and it means like some kind of betrayal. It doesn't truly reflect to the band, but..I think it opted to the meaning of rebel. Music has always been a rebellion in some way, and for their band..i can imagine, it's just a rebellion to the well those who don't believe them. So, they're the rebels, the renegades. But, in terms of coming through the term, I feel like Nyla would definitely came across the word during one of her songwriting sessions and become very much attached to how mysterious it sounds...and it become a part of them somehow. and it fits!

Performance: What are they thinking and feeling while they’re performing? How do they act on stage?

For Nyla, when she's performing...and since the band's genre is alternative, it sorta have a mystique vibe to it. So, in her head during performance is like, a clean slate; there's like one goal which is the vision or known as the big picture for what she's been dreaming of. Like when she does on stage, she tries to picture herself and the band performing at somewhere bigger, so that's her imagery at. and that really become like a factor of her performance too. And what she's feeling the whole music in her veins. When she's performing, she is more of a let the voice and instrumental do the talking and it showed through her performance. The feeling of like goosebumps can be one of them, to listen to what they made and perform it to others. It's goosebumps, magical, and mysterious feeling at some sort. The way she acts on stage is like, confident mysterious one. Like, you'll never expect what's she's gonna perform, she tends to smile to the fans before the performance but as soon as the music starts and yeah, she's a whole different person in the best way possible.

Fans: How is their relationship with their fans? Do they go out of their way to interact?

She has a good track record of the fans, especially on social media. She does react a lot to fans, like enjoys watching covers, the art, and definitely have came across maya's page before she even meet the girl before. But, she also has this fun habit to troll the hate pages, especially well.....the seven fans who has a dislike towards her, despite her being a fan of soft violence ofc. But, she enjoys interacting and living that...reality. like, "we got fans?!" but in a cool vibe yknow? but, with the botb drama with UW, well..i can see her limiting the interaction cause well, there's more fighting in her comments a lot and all, so she tends to become slower, but she does go out of her way to interact. I have this headcanon, like their first ever like big gig performance at this bar..and like there's the early fans, and like she hugged one of the fans who gave her a letter and like flowers to congratulate. she still kept both the letter..and dried the flowers, despite she doesn't really show that much of her nostalgia persona, she does care very deeply.

gosh, i'm gonna lay out nyla and seven here mehe! so, miss nyla has this front like, she's so different around everyone else..and in front of seven. Like, she's like a switch not like a bad switch, she just...feels more comfortable to feel around seven. In general, nyla's personality is like uncaring (like hey idgaf, like she does not truly give an f towards the haters and all that jazz) and flirty outside but everytime she's around seven like in proximity wise. She feels SO MANY THINGS, like those she couldn't control too. But, after the break-up..she just keeps all of those feelings on her own, reminsicing it on her own, and letting well the love and every single feeling she has for seven flow through her. that photoshoot with seven and Blake like that honestly she would almost have a breakdown there and then (she already has one internally, but outside...she's calm cool and collected.)

Seven was like...some sort her anchor with well, the shitty parents and all that. And like after the breakup and the band breaking apart, let's just say...she loses that anchor and has to stand on her own. And this is where she's good and bad at it, in front of people and heck, even orion, she's the master of fake it till you make it, idc idgaf, who is even seven lawless? but, like in private..she just would have that silent moment and like..just to take a breath, and sometimes when she's at home..feeling a bit lonely on her own, she wears one of seven's old shirt that he never bothered to take it back. she would go through that blackout, of emotions of losing someone. and, when she's out of her place, out of her thoughts..she's okay again. I think Rowan might guess that, noticing that. Hell, maybe one day she'll tell Orion what happened with her and seven, but like she hides that how she deeply feels cause like focus on the fame, the cameras and everything (she's already a pro at that so dont worry!!!!) But hey, seven lawless will always be her weak link.

also phew that's so long omg! i'm gonna add a seven x nyla song i had in their playlist; which i believe some verses would fit them in some sort of way! (the chorus, giving me so many vibes..and seven vibes also???)

what kinda makes cry on the floor about this fandom wrt Hopes is that people are trying to say Claude was always the type to side with the winner when he... wasn't. like ever.

in 3H he straight up sided with Dimitri in AM, tried to do the same in VW, helps out the Church on SS, and surrenders to Her Majesty on CF. even though she's technically always be "the winner" because in 3/4 routes she'd have had the upper hand for 5 years and for CF she'd be beginning to steamroll specifically the Alliance first once Byleth comes back. but he never sides with her. because he doesn't just side with whoever's winning. because he has a base set of morals that everyone just seems to have forgot about, including the writers. it's just weird and kind of annoying ngl.

I'll raise you one better: Claude allies with the people he knows will do the best things for Fodlan, and that means the literal underdogs of the whole affair, whether that's the scattered church or the kingdom without a centre. The Empire has taken top slot at this point, leaving Claude comfortably in the middle, and the Kingdom and Church of Seiros fighting for the title of "Most Dicked Over by This War." He cleared the way for the Kingdom army to pass through Gloucester undisturbed, when the easy thing would have been to say "arrange toi, find a way to Enbarr that doesn't involve us." That's the tactic that's kept the Empire out of their borders for five years, so for him to throw that out the window and bank on Dimitri (still the underdog at this point, seeing as they were barely hanging on during their mad dash to Enbarr) tells me that he heavily considers who he's going to ally with not based on raw power, or advantage, bur rather an ally he would have made during peace. He cites Dimitri's soft-hearted tendencies as the reason for calling on him, which . . . okay, Claude, but Claude sees people's hearts. There's a reason we never shut up about the fact that Claude handed Failnaught to Dimitri; it shows what he thinks of Dimitri, and really it's pretty good things. Claude does not throw in his lot with whoever is winning. He throws his weight behind people he sees in his future, people who want the world he wants. EdeIgard does not, by any stretch of the imagination, want what Claude wants, and a Claude with half a brain would realize that in a fucking second. That we're even still debating this in the year of 2022 causes me pain.

ok you know what im making my own post because im mad.

why the hell is it when aro people/aroaces get a sliver of fucking rep or a character who says "i dont like romance/crushes and dont get love" people rush to fucking ship them anyway?

it feels like a punch to the gut because when i see this kind of shit it makes me so damn upset, i see one character who is like me and who is shown to not have any interest in being romantic and i get so damn excited and i want to see content exploring that identity and how it might affect their friendships and how much they care for their friends. but instead what i get is people completely ignore that identity to ship them with someone else.

and it makes me literally feel sick because it feels like that same feeling you get when told your identity isnt important. you'll find someone eventually. i doubt youre REALLY aro. you need to just-

how can i not feel like my identity is being steamrolled when people ignore the VERY FEW aro characters we get. or try to fight people on their identity because they just have to ship them, right? as if theres not a million other characters- or hell- ocs you could ship to your hearts content instead? why is platonic love to you somehow not enough?

why is it so goddamn difficult to LISTEN when people tell you they dont want a fucking relationship. for any reason. instead you get people coming out of the woodwork trying to debate it or refute it because time and time again society tells you if you dont fucking LOVE anyone then youre an outcast and you dont matter.

wait i forgot. we dont care about characters unless we can ship them with others. my mistake.

nothing will suck as much as fandom when it comes to dealing with love because its just another reminder people will still ignore your identity except this time its just in coffee shop au fic form.

ngl it also sucks when you make your own hcs and would like to say "hey i think this character could be like me!" suddenly thats the wrong kind of lgbt+ hc for some and youre told homophobic because someone got really angry over it? can we talk about that?

my identity isnt fucking inherently homophobic and im allowed to exist without silencing myself. just because my identity is more what I dont feel vs what i do feel doesnt mean you get a free pass to ignore it.

i have to say that while grey-aro people do indeed exist and so does allo-ace people the lack of both representation and respect of aro people who dont like love grinds my gears to the point of dusting, and as someone who is both aroace and nonbinary i wish my identities werent seen as a joke to some people because sometimes it really fuckin feels that way.

(aphobes/exclus/terfs dont fucking interact, all of you are clowns and dont deserve a platform let alone a leg to stand on in this post kindly have a shit day thank you.)

1. A song you loved the first time you listened to and never got tired of? “Soufflé” by Audrey Nuna - this is a pretty chill song but also a little trippy, it’s hard to describe without actually listening to it but it’s got a nice vibe and is totally unique so i end up listening to it on repeat for a long time lmao

2. A song that makes you cry/get emotional every time you listen to? “행복했던 날들이었다 days gone by” by Day6 - this was the first song that popped up when i turned my music on after hearing the news that my grandpa had died. it gave me comfort and still does to this day, and despite the song being about remembering a former lover/significant other, the falling out presented in the lyrics sounded very similar to my grandpa and i’s relationship and how we used to be really close and grew more distant the older i got and after i moved away. i hadn’t seen my grandpa for three years when he died, but i still have the memories of when we were closer and during very happy times, so this is a very bittersweet song for me

3. A song that always makes you happy? “MIROH” by Stray Kids - this song always makes me wanna get up and dance no matter what mood i’m in, it instantly perks me up and makes me feel better and more energized after listening to it. i love the faster paced songs and this is right up my alley so it’s perfect if i’m trying to cheer myself up

4. A song you would dedicate to your best friend and/or your family? “Hard Times” by Paramore - this is to my best fucking friend in the whole world who i love so much. i know we struggle a lot both separately and together, but we got each other in this big mean world and i’ve got your back no matter what. this is our favorite band, and it gives me flashbacks to us driving around our little ass hometown in high school (even though this came out WAAAAY after we graduated lol) grabbing wendy’s french fries and cheese sauce, just talking and laughing and crying together. you’re not on tumblr much anymore and you dont follow this blog because you arent a kpoppie like me so you probably won’t ever see this but i am so happy you tolerate my annoying rants about whatever tangent i’m on, thank you for everything, you make the hard times easier, i love you forever, ILYBBBBB!!! IANGSLYBBBBBBB!!!

5. A song with production (sounds, beats, mood, etc.) you love? “Yummy” by Justin Bieber - i have such a love/hate relationship with this song, because the instrumentals and beats are so addictive! the lyrics though....so horrible omg if i was his wife i would be offended this was the best he could come up with for a song written about me i’ve never been a bieber fan either so i was expecting to completely hate this song, but the instrumental is enough to keep me listening to it, idk, it’s definitely a guilty pleasure song though (the remix of it he did with Summer Walker is SO MUCH BETTER, SHE SAVED THIS SONG FORREAL PLEASE CHECK IT OUT)

6. A song with perfect, amazing, outstanding lyrics? “Norman fucking Rockwell” by Lana Del Rey - HOOOOO BOY LANA WAS NOT FUCKING PLAYING WITH THIS SONG, BILLIE EILISH IMMA LET YOU FINISH BUT NFR SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN ALBUM OF THE YEAR JSJS. but seriously, this is such an eloquent ‘fuck you’ to those pretentious ass guys we all come into contact with and honestly, how raw of a line is ‘you fucked me so good i almost said i love you’? VERYYYYY, LANA IS QUEEN

7. A song that you would recommend to anyone? “Color Blind” by Maddox - this is something i would more so recommend to someone who was maybe just starting to get into kpop/k-r&b or isn’t really a fan of the boy/girl group stuff, it’s much more mellow and a really beautiful song, but i would also recommend it to anyone as a good song to listen to because it’s very easy listening and Maddox has such wonderful vocals

8. A song you don’t understand why you like so much but you do anyway? “Cry for Me” by Camila Cabello - ......ngl i dont care for lil miss camila as a person but i dig this song a lot, it’s got a good beat and is a pretty spiteful song i can relate to when i’m feeling petty, reminds me of a particular ex i wish was able to see how they hurt me but that’s all in the past now

9. A song you think people in general don’t like but you do? “Cherry Bomb” by NCT 127 - idk why people don’t like this song???? genuinely???? it’s actually the song that made me stan NCT in the first place, and tbh the ‘if you happy and you know it clap your hands’ made me roll my eyes but it was (AND STILL IS) a complete bop, and it really surprised me when i heard that a lot of people hated it

10. A song people normally like that you don’t? “Feel Special” by TWICE - BEFORE YOU COME FOR ME, I DO ACTUALLY LIKE THIS SONG! however, i like “Fancy” a lot better, but the consensus with most onces is that “Feel Special” is superior, which i disagree with. both songs are great, but my personal preference is more upbeat happier songs, hence why i like “Fancy” better

11. A song you would call a masterpiece? “Dope Queen Blues” by Adia Victoria - this is arguably my favorite genre/style of music and it is just perfect, Adia Victoria is a wonderful artist, she has a perfect blend of melancholy lyrics, a haunting voice, and plenty of soul that just genuinely makes this song (well any of them really) a true masterpiece in my opinion, definitely listen to her if you love blues/soul music

12. A song you recently (within the last 30 days) discovered and really liked? “No Shame” by Eric Nam - i had been meaning to listen to some of Eric Nam’s music because i never had before but wanted to give it a try and this happened to come on my playlist earlier today and i really dug it right of the bat, so i’ll definitely need to check out more of his stuff

13. A song you listen to that gets you pumped/ready to tear down the government/fight? “Absinthe” by punchnello - this song makes me wanna punch holes in walls and curb stomp bitches that test me, it’s so aggressive and i like listening to it when i’m pissed off about something or other (also i would never actually curb stomp someone, i’m too much of a softie and i get steamrolled on the daily because i’m a huge pushover)

so I decided to steamroll through all the negativity and buy mass effect andromeda this morning, ‘cause I had a day off today and the temptation was too great. A couple of thoughts after about an hour and a half of gameplay:

- must address the facial animations immediately since it’d be weird if I didn’t -- yeah, they’re sometimes weird. but if people hadn’t been talking about them so much, I would have just reacted with a quick “heh” and more-or-less immediately got used to them. it’s really not that big a deal. I think the situation is exacerbated by the fact that people keep seeing the worst examples in silent contexts -- when someone’s speaking and their face is a bit weird, idk about other people but for me the personality of the voice kind of takes over and compensates for the unnaturalness of the face. the same was true of the original games -- instead of weird facial animation, they just had very little facial animation, but the voice acting was great so it didn’t matter. - I might even have been more distracted by the fact that when ryder is on a planet and it’s raining and she has her helmet on, the rain effects land on her face? and not her helmet? it’s so weird. - random tip for character creation -- first off, don’t use default fem!ryder, there’s something wrong with how her face is set up and it’s terrifying. second, one of the weirdest thing about the faces is how the eyeballs are set in the face, but this is dramatically reduced if you create a character with epicanthal folds. she looks a lot better, and hey, a good excuse (if you needed one) to have your ryder be a woc. - movement is so fun and smooth omg. at one point I actually gasped and said “that’s so COOL” out loud like a dweeb when I discovered how you can quickly jump up and then hover in the air while shooting... I can’t really describe it properly but trust me, it’s cool. - even though the criticism of the game from other people discouraged me a lot, I’m glad I read a lot of other people’s opinions to modulate my expectations going in. like I was warned that the beginning of the game was quite slow but picks up some hours in (I’ve heard somewhere between hour 6 and hour 10 -- which is a lot of hours but I can already tell it’s a huge game). having been given that expectation, I was pleasantly surprised at the pace. the very very beginning has a kind of fantastic mundanity (fantastic in the sense of fantasy) in its pacing which I found oddly endearing, like welp just another day at work, landing on a planet in a galaxy humanity has never touched before, same ole same ole. I can see the potential for an awkward “hinterlands phase”, if you will, a la dragon age inquisition where you spend too much time in the starting area and then finally trigger the story proper and go “... goddammit I wasted so much time and that wasn’t even really the game”. so maybe that’s what people mean. - speaking of da:i, the aesthetics and in particular the sound design of the first mission remind me a lot of the very beginning of da:i, with the toxic green colour palate and the intermittent lightning cracks. the sound design is a strong point of this game so far, it has very satisfying audio. - the only squadmates I’ve met so far have been cora and liam. cora’s dialogue is quite corny but I’m currently choosing to interpret that as just her being a thoroughly corny dweeb. liam seems cool, I’ve seen a lot of complaints about him and ngl I think this is at least in part a case of the gaming community having unreasonable standards for black characters. he’s already noticeably more charming than kaidan ever was. - combat is super fun, although I miss the function of being able to pause combat and assess and choose the right powers with some deliberation. I’m not that nimble with my fingers. I’ve already died once :\

yeah so those are my extremely early thoughts. I’d have more to say but I kept restarting to put progressively less makeup on Vass Ryder. makeup is distracting.
