i know the hunger games isnt about romance i know it isnt a love story but. theres just something so beautiful in the way peeta is the personification of what it means to heal and he /is/ the dandelion and the bread and the hope that things can be better even if they wont be fixed. even if the nightmares dont stop he will still hold her. wake her up and tell her shes alive. shes safe. and when its over and done and theres no more saving or protecting or trying their absolute hardest to die if it means keeping the other alive, the horrors dont stop. but katniss will still find that comfort in peetas arms.

god thinking about gwen cooper makes me feral. i love her so muchhh shes such an interesting and compelling character like you watch her go through so much shes so human she does so much good and does some bad but they always feel in character with how they portray how much the events of the show up to certain points really just broke her down and affected her so strongly and her relationships with rhys and jack and all of the team they are so important they get so rough sometimes but she loves them all so much she loves her friends and her husband and her daughter and family and does everything to protect them and you see her grow so much and eve myles portrays her perfectly and she was such a good protagonist and she deserves so much better than how ive seen fandom (especially fanworks from when this show first aired) treat her

#every time one of the songs from this album came on in the car id so casually go to boom like 'oh so this one is about ___' #and it's just an album about a dysfunctional family. like that is literally the plot of the album. they r called the sparks #it starts with donna and follows her alcoholic daughter who starts the abuse (it's technically started by donna but the album doesnt #focus on her so it 'starts' with gloria) #and how her addiction and abuse bleeds into her son who becomes a gambler and how his son then turns out etc etc #all to the most boptastic sounds and vocals you ever heard #like oh my fucking god the way they released this album was SUCH an experience #because it was done in three parts (gloria to her son jimmy to his son junior respectively) #so you had to like. wait for the rest of the album with each part and each part added a generation to what you knew from the beginning #was going to be tragic like you know from donna's song at the very start when it's said 'you hate the name junior' #that the rot will travel all the way down to junior's generation #they're doomed from the start. they're a family. they tried. they failed #and also 'leader of the landslide' as a song alone is batshit insane and one of my favourite songs ever #but as an expression on generational trauma? So... this is an idea that I don't know if many will agree with, but I'm putting it out there, anyway.

I feel like, for obvious reasons, Buffy and Angel would always have trauma with the idea of him calling her "Buff."

(Unless, in the future, they managed to talk it out and eventually managed to heal from that, so that eventually he could. That's a great option, too.)

But nicknames are adorable. And while usually I'm opposed to someone in fanon calling a character something they didn't in canon (except in the Kingdom Heart fandom, Sora calling Kairi "Kai," but there's a tiny bit of precedent for that), what if way in the future (after a lot of character development and them having a life together, of course, and them being super comfortable with each other) he called her "Fy" for short some times? (Pronounced like the last part of Buffy's name is pronounced, of course. Or how people sometimes might call a "Fiona" "Fi" for short, for example.)

It might be cute. Especially if it's a special nickname that only he calls her, since if anyone else wants to shorten her name, they just use "Buff". I don't know.
