From his perch at the top of the stairs, Tango has the perfect view of the front door. He’s not sure whether its actually helping his nerves or not though. But Tango’s already tried hanging out with Chowder, video games with Louis and Hops, and shadowing Dex as he repaired the back steps. He’s changed his clothes three times already. He wishes there was hockey practice today, actually - he could have used the chance to work off the excess energy.
Whiskey’s picking him up at 5:30.
Tango still can’t believe it, that Whiskey wants to date him. It’s been a long time coming, these last three years. Tony’s had to watch as LAX bro after econ major after LAX bro came and went, as Whiskey was on and off with his high school girlfriend. But they finally got here, to a place where they are both on the same page. And while Whiskey might have only gotten his shit together because Ford had had enough of both of them pining, they are here now.
Ford comes through the hallway from the kitchen, takes one look at Tango’s face and puts her stage manager face on.
“SMH ASSEMBLE IN THE BACKYARD!”
There’s three seconds of absolute silence and then everyone is moving, faint echoes of “thank you backyard” as they run outside to help with whatever Ford needs. Ford winks at him as she leaves to join them.
And suddenly the Haus is empty. And Tango is alone with his thoughts while he waits.
Where is Whiskey taking him? How do you fix stairs from creaking? Is there an activity or is it just dinner? What if Whiskey is late? Did he do all of his CS homework? What if it’s just coffee from Annie’s? What if a Waffle comes back through and sees him sitting on the stairs? Does Nursey have more than one prayer rug? What if this is a pity date? What if he got the time wrong? What if Whiskey isn’t as into this as Tango? What if one of the others realizes that Whiskey and Tango aren’t in the backyard and come to investigate? Does Dex know how to whittle, can he show Tango? What if he’s building all this up in his head? How long can Ford keep the guys in the backyard? What if he doesn’t like Whiskey as much as he thought? What if Whiskey -
He’s pulled out of his thought spiral by a knock on the door. Tango takes a deep breath, and walks down the stairs. He checks his pockets for his phone and wallet. Tango takes another deep breath.
And opens the door to see Whiskey, looking handsome as ever, smiling nervously (Oh wow he’s nervous!) and clutching a small cardboard box.
“Hi Tony.”
“H-Hello,” he says and WHY is his voice choosing now to desert him.
“Here, this is for you,” Whiskey says, shoving the basket into Tango’s arms. “It’s um - ya know -”
“A Pop,” Tango breathes, looking closer. "It’s you!” He looks back at Whiskey.
“Yeah, I just thought, I can’t um, always be there when you’re doing coding, and you’ve talked about how I’m better than a rubber duck, so I just thought, ah, maybe, this would help?”
Tango can’t stop looking between Whiskey and the Pop, seeing all the detail that Whiskey managed to get added to the toy. It’s even got a little Samwell Hockey logo on the shirt.
“Oh god, you hate it, how could I be so conceited, this was such a dumb idea,” Whiskey starts to look panicked as he continues to babble. “I’ll just take -”
“Whiskey.”
“-it back, I’ll give it to my mom or something -”
“Whiskey.”
“-she’ll think its adorable and can show it off to -”
“Connor!”
His mouth closes with an audible click of his teeth as Whiskey looks down, refusing to meet Tango’s eyes. This calls for drastic measures.
“If you try to take this away from me, I’ll never speak to you again, and I’ll make Ford shun you as well.”
Whiskey’s head whips up, eyes wide. “You really like it that much?”
“It’s possibly the best present I’ve ever gotten. Thank you.”
“You’re uh, you know, welcome,” Whiskey says, rubbing the back of his neck bashfully as he stumbles through his sentence.
“Let me just stash this?”
“Sure thing.”
Tango runs the Pop up to the attic and on the way back down, has to stop in the middle of the stairs to just drink in the sight of Connor on the front porch. He’s turned to look at something down the street and his profile is lined with the light of setting sun. Tango manages to get himself moving again before Connor turns back around.
“Ready to go?”
“Yup!”
“‘Swawesome,” Connor says, takinghishandohmygod, and leading him away from the haus.
Tango’s sure that whatever Connor is talking about is super interesting, and he’ll ask for clarification later, but for right now, he’s just going to let himself be distracted by the last warmth of the sun on his face and by the feel of his hand in Connor’s.

Queen Finora was sleeping with her Husband, King Trollex. While the kids are sleeping in their rooms
The assassin quietly comes in the baby's room. And took the twins, Then Took Tingo and Sharpo, and Princess June Sun, puts them in a giant bubble, then he took the last, adorable baby.... Rainekra, he puts her in a cage, and disappears with all the babies
At Techno Reef, Zach and Bot are sleeping and purring.
???: *Smirks*...*looks at the crib* Aww~
The bbs that were born last month, were sleeping. But the assassin took them and puts them in the bubble. And takes Jade, Mystical, Crystal and Lavender.
???: *Laughs a bit quietly* *swims away with the bubble*
He then went to the Piranha territory, and kidnaps Pearl and Mirian, puts them in the bubble too
The assassin continue to swim away and kidnaps Claw, Mikal, Hannah, Ereka and Starlight..
???: A few more to go~
He went to Another place where Audrey and Sweet tea pop were sleeping, the Assassin took Fiona and Willy, puts them in a bubble
The Assassin ran away and kidnaps Harmony and Henry. He also sneak in another house and took Adriel, Elliot, Nova, Jenny and Xochitl, Hugo
The Assassin went to another place, He took Morgen, swims away
He then sneak in a few houses. He took Melinda and her siblings, Then took Twinkle, and gently, quietly takes Galaxy's bbs. Puts all of them in the bubble.
The assassin came back home with a exhausted face.
???: Here you go Boss.. I've took all the bbs, you've requested..
???: *Grins evily* How wonderful~ 😈... You've did a great job, my little sunshine~
???: B-But Boss .... you shouldn't call me that.
???: I should call you that cause your name is a bit difficult, thank you for doing what I told you to do~
???: no problem boss...also *holding a Extra Bubble*
Inside the extra bubble were two bbs, Named Mako and Dewdrop..

@tingo-tango got me thinking about the bi Bittle parents again so here are my thoughts (based on the aforementioned conversations with @parseisflat)
The Bittles are sitting down for a meal with Jack for the first time since the kiss center ice. It's not all that different from when he visited Madison for Fourth of July, but now Jack and Bitty are so much more relaxed, less worried about getting caught or saying the wrong thing. Things are pretty light and casual but then either Rick or Suzanne mentions Jack being a gay athlete, Jack politely responds that he's "bisexual, actually.” Then tacking on a quick “euh attraction to multiple genders." He says this and Coach and Suzanne both freeze. Suzanne recovers quickly and keeps talking because she's like her son, she can't stop talking because if she stops talking she'll start thinking. She decides that it must be different for boys, not all boys are attracted to other boys but surely all women feel that way about other women, right? She's always acted under the assumption that all girls like other girls to a certain degree, that's normal, isn't it? (It is normal, but it isn't necessarily heterosexual.)
Rick on the other hand is entirely in his head. He's known some gay guys in his life, he's known a hell of a lot of guys that are straight (at least, he assumes so, he's never actually talked about it with any of them), but he's never had a conversation about bisexuality before. He knew it existed, but he never bothered to consider it for himself. Rick Bittle was attracted to women and that's all that mattered. The way he felt about men was unimportant because he likes women. The other guys were his classmates, his teammates, his friends, his co-workers. They weren't crushes or boyfriends or anything like that. When Rick met Suzanne she made him feel like nobody else ever had. This is what being in love feels like. Now he's in love and he wants to marry this girl more than anything, so it doesn’t matter if he might have had feelings for other guys in the past. But now there's a young man in front of him, an athlete, who is head-over-heels in love with Rick's son, and he's bisexual. He's in love with Junior but he still identifies by his attraction to more than just men. He has still realized and accepted his sexuality.
Suzanne stops talking and Junior picks up where she left off. Rick realizes that he hasn't said a word, he hasn't taken a bite, he hasn't moved in at least a minute. Then Suzanne reaches under the table and holds his hand in hers, there's the slightest furrow in her brow but all of the understanding in the world in her eyes. He squeezes her hand and nods. She squeezes back and turns to Bitty, who's rambling on about the latest shenanigans Jack's teammate Tater has tried to drag them into.
They'll talk about it after dinner. Once the two of them have had time to process.

if there’s anything anybody knows about buck it’s that he’s very physical with his affection, it’s how he shows his love. sometimes it’s through bigger gestures (hugs, hand holding, draping an arm around someone’s shoulders) other times it’s smaller things (high-fives, patting someone on the back, a gentle brushing of arms as he walks past) eddie doesn’t know if he should technically count that last one, but he’s going to anyways.
and it doesn't really bother him, especially cause hugs have always had their way of making eddie feel safe and comforted
but...with buck, it’s different, every time they touch it’s like a small electric current running beneath eddie’s skin. he can feel his heart do a quite little somersault whenever they hug. its like nothing he’s ever really felt before. (his very notable crush on buck doesn't seem to help much either)
if it were only every now and then, eddie thinks he could manage. but that’s the thing, it happens all the time.
it’s like there’s a magnetism between the two of them that seems impossible to break. no matter how long they spend apart, they always find their way back to each other.
either when they’re done with a long call, and they sit next to each other on the rig, pressed together from shoulder to knee. or when driving after work, they'll both unknowingly place their arms on the center console box, letting their elbows brush against one another for the rest of the ride. or the one time buck had gotten momentarily separated from eddie and chris at the museum and, once they were reunited, landed eddie with the biggest bear hug.
it’s wonderful and electric and honestly has eddie’s head spinning because he never really knows how to really deal with it, and he doesn't want buck to stop (the opposite, actually, not that eddie will admit that out loud)
the fondness he feels is bittersweet cause he knows deep down buck doesn't feel the same way about him, yet, eddie’s heart can help but yearn for buck every time they brush arms for even a couple of seconds at a time.
so to spare him the emotional hurt, eddie pushes his feelings aside and hopes they don't eventually overflow and screw him over.
(spoiler alert: they do.)
it happens halfway through a shift from hell that was beyond hectic, it was in and out of the station all day with barely any time to relax, and that was only after the first 12 hours. everyone retreats off to the bunks the minute they can, trying to grab any rest they can, but eddie decides on getting a midnight snack beforehand. he doesn’t bother heading back down, instead collapsing onto one of the loft couches, letting exhaustion overtake him
he only starts to just drift off when he hears footsteps coming his direction so he peaks from underneath his shut eyes to see an equally tired buck making his way towards the couches too. wordlessly he falls into the space between eddie and the couch, pressing right up against his torso
“man, i fucking missed you.” he sighs, sinking into eddie’s side
“we’ve spent the whole day together, buck.”
“yeah, but this shift has been so nonstop; it’s like we’ve barely seen each other.”
he thinks back and struggles to recall any part of the day where they both just got to slow down and catch up. shit, this day has taken much more out of him than he thought. eddie doesn’t really register how tired he really is until a yawn slips from him.
besides him, buck laughs to himself tiredly, “I should probably let you get back to bed, huh?”
maybe it's the exhaustion, or maybe it's the butterflies in eddie’s chest, but without much thought, he says, “you can stay if you want.”
buck smiles, “alright then, scoot over.” eddie shifts in his spot, allowing more room for him. seamlessly, buck rearranges himself on the couch so that he’s lying across it, he gently tugs at eddie’s shirt, beckoning him to lie down with him, and without hesitance, eddie follows, placing his head onto buck’s chest.
they lie there, talking for what feels like ages about just about anything as the exhaustion from before slowly seeps back in behind eddie’s eyelids
with another tired yawn, eddie asks, “hey buck?” “yeah?” “...i missed you too.”
the silence comes back, comfortably filling the loft again as they end up falling asleep on the couch together, eddie curled up in buck’s arms. it’s nice and warm. the world feels so much less chaotic here in the middle of the embrace shared between them.
