Miami Vice S1E18: Made for Each Other

Larry's house burns down, and Izzy and Noogie are sent undercover.

Made for Each Other suffers immensely from coming right after The Maze, which is a true "the system is broken" classic Vice episode. Made for Each Other is a comedy breather, and actually kind of great in its own right, but where it sits in the progression of the series feels more like a deflation than a break.

Made for Each Other is also almost comically homoerotic-- it's the episode that convinced me that Sonny is supposed to be a textually closeted bisexual man on my first watch through of the series, but on a repeat watch it's somehow even more obvious. Why are there all those half-naked bears on a boat? Why is the entire plot basically "Stan and Larry sort of have a breakup because of Stan's new girlfriend and then get back together at the end?" Why does Izzy keep saying things like nubile and anal? Why does the camera linger so very long on his and Noogie's cigarillos touching? What's up with the repetition of 'shafted'? Why are all the guests at Noogie's wedding like, extras from a Boy George video?

Anyway I actually really like Made For Each Other upon rewatch, it really just should have been placed elsewhere in the season. It's a fun, silly episode, and a little levity is necessary in a series that is often so very bleak.

The episode opens with Sonny and Rico trying to catch a counterfeiter, and Rico is bitchy and condescending to Sonny in a way that I think is supposed to be "ha ha, my criminal persona is a dick," but actually just comes off as "ha ha, I am a dick." It seems like he's trying to impress the counterfeiter by throwing Sonny under the bus. This occasional cruelty towards someone he does genuinely like is a fascinating part of Rico's characterization, and part of what elevates his character writing to "actual nuanced person" and not "nice Black sidekick who always supports the main white guy." Rico absolutely sees himself as more educated and worldly than Sonny, and occasionally he lets that slip. He has a very complicated relationship to both class and geography-- he's a New Yorker (...from the Bronx), he wears a perfectly tailored suit everyday (...and is a poorly paid cop), he idolizes Sonny for his football career but also thinks he's a bit of a yokel. As someone whose own class status is a bit shaky, Rico tends to get a little mean when it seems like he might be 'found out.'

Zito almost gets blown up in the ensuing warehouse fire, and Switek flips out. A short while later, a surprisingly chill Zito says he believes things are "either in whack or out of whack," shortly after while they discover that his entire house is on fire.

Trudy and Gina, in their only real appearance in the episode, very sweetly present Zito with a new fish as an office gift. Sonny is a dick about it.

Swi and Zito go to investigate BONZO BARRY who is a shady stereo and computer system dealer who has a FUCKING SEAL in his store

Michael Talbott is wildly overacting this entire episode, like to the point that I wonder if they had to turn down his mic

Noogie is marrying a stripper(?) named Ample Annie. They argue about going to Disneyland while she's practicing her routine. She does a striptease down the aisle. She is perhaps the only person bonkers enough to keep up with Noogie.

Stan's girlfriend, Darlene (who was Larry's girlfriend a short period of time ago), is extremely unhappy with Larry staying at their house, and spends the entire episode either complaining or being upset that the conditions are not right to bone; frankly, Stan does not seem to like her and she does not seem to like Stan. The most likely reasoning behind this is "bad 80's hurr hurr the ol' ball and chain" comedy, but considering the homoeroticism of the episode I'd like to think it could be a comment on compulsory heterosexuality

Izzy and Noogie show up at Stan's and, in one ridiculous whirlwind, declare the current case "theirs," ask who is the "Captain Kirk of this Enterprise," and start eating Stan's breakfast

In one scene Tubbs asks Zito and Swi if they want backup and they both very loudly yell NO like he's the reason everything has been on fire in this episode

Switek asks Zito at one point, "do you ever think about the future, Larry?" and Zito answers No.

This is funny the first time you watch the episode!

This is not funny anymore after Season 3.

The bad guy (whose crime seems to be like. Selling stolen stereos or something equally stupid) has a boat full of half-naked men with guns. This is not remarked upon.

Then we get to the Night Talk scene. I've talked at length about this scene before, but basically: Zito has been kicked out of Switek's and is sleeping at the station; Sonny comes in, romantic music plays, Zito basically describes Switek as the perfect man, and Sonny tries to get Zito to come back to his place (and fails.) It's very gay. I like to think that Sonny has a burgeoning crush on Rico at this point but is certain Rico is straight (and also. Y'know. Was a bit of an asshole at the beginning of the episode.) and takes desperate, tragic shot on Zito because of that. Zito politely declines because his heart is already spoken for.

Meanwhile, Stan is unable to perform sexually because he's thinking about Larry.

I'm sure that means nothing.

The outfits at Noogie's wedding are just. They are. Truly they are something.

The priest is a leather daddy. Many people appear to be in space blankets, including Noogie. Annie has a tearaway wedding dress. The pianist has the world's most incredible zebra shirt. There are headbands and weird hats abound.

By contrast, all the members of Vice look like they're supposed to be at a PTA meeting. (Also Sonny looks like he wishes he could ask where the punch is but doesn't want to bother Gina and Trudy, who are clearly each others' plus-ones.)

And the episode ends with Switek and Zito, side by side, at a wedding.

A FAMILY BEYOND BLOOD

Part 1: Darkness Fallen

Melinda Talbott has her life stolen from her as a child by Satan, starting a chain reaction that turns the Nine Realms to darkness. Now, born again as a Valkyrie by Odin, she must find a way to foil the devil’s plans for universal conquest. Her best chance to do so involves channeling her stanning heart into her would be idol – Shane McMahon. This proves difficult, as Shane has no knowledge of Mindy and no memory of his original life before the darkness fell. In the end they succeed in restoring the universe... an act which is fatal to both of them.

Part 2: Death and Life on Planet Earth

Melinda and Shane have saved the universe at the expense of their own lives. This doesn’t please either of them and, now residing in Valhalla, Mindy makes a vow to return Shane to his family, whatever the cost. As it turns out, that cost is very high and when it’s all said and done, they’re both alive, but miserable. When the chance arrives to “hit the reset button” (via a literal reset button), Mindy does so alone, and the world turns to white.

Part 3: A World Restored to Fall

Waking up from that horrible nightmare, Mindy is back where she belongs. Or so she thinks. There’s seriously weird shit going on at her mother’s bookstore, and when Mindy and her friend Marcus investigate, they uncover a mad scientist’s plot to take over the world with an android army. Marcus kills the scientist, but it’s too late. The apocalypse arrives and all Mindy and her mother can do is ride it out in the only remaining bunker in town. When they emerge, the world is in shambles and they are found by a contingent of armed troops who take them away to join the other survivors.

Part 4: World War Winter

The Nuclear Winter has arrived, and the entire human race is at war against the Androids. Coming out of their bunker, Mindy and her mother are quickly recruited into the new, unified armed forces known as CAMP. As Campers, they are separated and sent to fight. However, Mindy gets into some trouble and, as punishment, is sent to work in a hospital in NY. There, she encounters the only surviving members of the McMahon family, Shane and Marissa. Marissa is a nurse, while Shane is suffering from a brain injury. The three of them form a new family and when the war is won, they move in together. One day, all three of them are given the chance to hit “reset” a second time. They do, and around them, the world turns to white once more.

Part 5: Of Queens and Kingdoms

In a new world once more, the still together Shane, Marissa, and Melinda find themselves in a world where the year is 2001, the Western World never advanced past the Middle Ages, and the patriarchy is non-existent, replaced by a strict, feudal matriarchy. And wouldn’t you know it, in this world, Mindy is Queen, and the McMahons are dirt poor. However, the three of them have no memories of this new world and must try to adapt the best they can. Using her position as regent, Mindy takes the McMahons, along with the former WWE Superstars, under her care and employs them to the crown. It all goes well, but in secret, a revolution is brewing. The men want power, and they aren’t afraid to commit regicide to get it.

Part 6: All Under the Titan Throne

With the WWE Superstars and the McMahons safely in her care, Mindy (or as she’s known in this world, Queen Cecelia) rules her kingdom. But a plot unfolds to unseat her, and she must use her resources to fight the uprising. When an assassination attempt occurs, she goes into hiding. Eventually, she retakes the crown and, when the child is born, names Shane and Marissa’s newborn daughter (yes daughter) as heir to the crown. Everyone is happy and this time, when given the chance to reset the world, they choose not to.

THE END.

There. That wasn't even one of the really wild dreams or series of dreams but, frankly, they were really dumb as far as stories went so I deleted the WIP from Ao3 and never finished writing part 6.

RSA- I’ve mentioned before that the school is accepting of non-human students and that would be great for my own mc (for future reference, I’ll just refer to her by her initials, JT). She’s part human and part plant person (nymph,Druid? I haven’t settled on a proper term) and her own daughter takes after the plant side. Plus I pictured a werewolf student attending the school and being given a safe area to transform. Off topic but you mentioned adel playing the guitar and jt does as well :).

RSA- along with Ben and merula as the dada teachers, Merula canonically loves singing so she could be the choir teacher as well. Also Tonks doesn’t die in this au which means that she helps out with the school too. She isn’t a teacher but she does chaperone dances and generally makes sure everyone is safe along with Talbott.

RSA- I really like seeing different people add on to the au. It’s very sweet and I love seeing the different ideas everyone has. I’m curious to know more about the students who would attend the school. Does cherry go to the school too once she’s old enough? Another topic, Penny as the potions teacher. Her being really nice to all of the students and making sure they didn’t feel bad if they messed up on their potions. Plus her teaching some of the kids how to braid their hair.

Top ten HPHM characters?

Oh, sounds fun! This is in no particular order:

Tulip Karasu: the bundle of chaos who manages to be both adorable and magnificent at the same time. Severely underutilized by the game, which makes me sad. Her bond with MC and the character development she gets in Year Three is so underrated...

Orion Amari: Every time he talks, I just get the biggest smile on my face. It might seem like nonsense, but he’s actually one of the wisest people in the game, and even if he wasn’t, it’s just so charming. The mentor and sibling figure that MC badly needs.

Beatrice Haywood: I believe I’ve sung the praises of this character time and again, just how relatable she is and how much social commentary her character arc offers. It’s realistic, it’s important, and I feel for Bea so much.

Patricia Rakepick: Alright, you all knew she was coming. I just really dig the problematic mentor trope, and anytime Rakepick shows up, pre-betrayal or post-betrayal, you know the game is about to get interesting.

Talbott Winger: Like several other characters I’ve chosen, he’s just extremely relatable. He’s an introvert, a Ravenclaw, and an animagus...so much representation in one character! Not to mention his story always brings a tear to my eye.

Merula Snyde: She might be my absolute favorite, I dunno. But her level of depth is impressive, and I can always feel the pain in her soul. Ever since the Christmas quests, I have been an unashamed Merula stan. (Year 6 has been rough.)

Jae Kim: This guy has no business being as funny as he is? Half of his lines just make me nod and go “mood.” I’m constantly impressed by their ability to create new “chaos” aligned characters while making none of them feel like retreads.

Skye Parkin: She couldn’t not make the list. Ironically, I likely wouldn’t care so much about her if I hadn’t gotten so many messages that led me to hyper analyze her. Skye Antis, you did this! (I kid, I kid.)

Nymphadora Tonks: I decided I could only choose one canon character, and I’d be remiss not to praise what they’ve done with Tonks in this game. She’s realized so perfectly, and even fleshed out a little more beyond what the books offered!

Rowan Khanna: I lied, the order matters in this one case. I specifically saved them for last to make it more special. This character is the reason I got into HPHM. Everything from their design to their personality to their loyalty to MC melts my heart and I miss them so much.

Your Ideal Ending for Patricia Rakepick: I’m 90% sure she’s gonna get killed somehow at the end of year 6 or 7, but ideal.....dunno. I can live with her getting killed or getting sent or Azkaban or whatever.

Ahah. Ahaha. AHAHAHAHAHAHA. Oh, she actually thinks she can get me with this? Really? Sorry, but no. Merula absolutely does not deserve to be on the Frog Choir and I’m going to go into every single reason why her sob story means absolutely nothing

So, first off: Merula forfeited any right she had to a position on the choir when she attacked MC over it. I think MC themself says it best when you choose to dismiss her story:

Congratulations, Merula. You just showed us that you don’t think the rules of fair competition apply to you. Aggression like that shouldn’t be rewarded. I’m not going to let her get what she wants because she decided to act like a brat about it. No, you can’t just attack people and force them to give you what you want because you want it, you entitled little brat. And for a contest? It’s completely disrespectful to Professor Flitwick to try and supersede his decisions in selecting who he wants on the choir. So no. There’s no way in hell I’m letting her in the choir now, just on the principle of not encouraging her bullying behavior

Second: she’s a goddamned hypocrite. Merula gives you this sad story about her mom and expects MC to absolve her of any wrongdoing out of sympathy. But I can guarantee you that she’d never return the favor. Because that’s just typical Merula behavior. She’ll endlessly mock MC over what happened to their brother, but expects everyone to not only sympathize with her, but reward her for what happened to her parents

[I’m just putting this out there for my MC, but singing was always a very private thing between her and Jacob because Jacob was so terrified of singing in front of anyone but her. So singing, especially to each other with no one else around, became their thing. It has severe emotional weight to her, and she is so protective of Jacob’s memory and anything having to do with him. The Frog Choir Quest has been hard for her, because she’s spent the whole thing struggling to let go for Tulip’s sake. But you know what Merula would do if she heard that? She’d laugh in MC’s face. And even if you decide that this isn’t a Year 3 quest and occurs after she lets up a little in Year 5, she’d still find some way to insult Jacob. Because let’s not forget those lovely moments in Year 5 where MC calls her out on what she does and she tells them to “Get over it.”]

And that’s not even getting into the fact that a sympathetic backstory does not absolve you of bullying and harassment! An explanation is not an excuse. She gives you this sob story and expects it to absolve her of literally just attacking you. It. Doesn’t.

Third: She’s lying! Yeah! The first post I saw confirming it was this one here. When I first chose the option of dismissing her and MC said this:

I actually thought they were going too far! But no, that’s exactly what she did! And people still think she deserves sympathy when she readily admits that she emotionally manipulated MC, an equally emotionally vulnerable person, just to get her way?

Fourth: It’s unfair to every single person involved to give up your spot to Merula. It’s unfair to MC, who worked really hard by both practicing their singing and making sure they were bonding with Dennis so that both of them were at their best. It’s unfair to Professor Flitwick, whose authority you’d be undermining by handing over the position because, need I remind you, Flitwick doesn’t say that Merula was his second choice until AFTER you decide to overrule his authority to give her your spot. It’s unfair to everyone who tried out for the choir, most of whom probably practiced just as hard as MC did and probably had sympathetic reasons for wanting to join the choir, too, since most of MC’s generation are children of war. At the time MC can decide to give up their position, they legitimately don’t know if one of those kids was actually Flitwick’s second choice or not, so now they’re screwing someone else over because, again, you’ve now decided that Merula violently attacking another student and acting like her story absolves her of consequences deserves to be rewarded for that behavior (and, from a meta perspective, that her emotionally manipulating people deserves to be rewarded!) It’s unfair to the kids already in the choir, because being in a choir requires more than just singing well. You have to be able to harmonize with your toad and with the other students in the choir. You have to be able to let others have the spotlight, and Merula has repeatedly shown that she’s not willing to do that. I have no doubt that she’d constantly be trying to undermine other students to make herself the star if she was put in the choir

And, in a way, it’s unfair to Merula to give her the position. She wouldn’t have gotten in on her own merits. And rewarding her behavior is only going to hurt her in the long run. You’re just going to make her spiral even harder into her tendencies to bully and manipulate others, and that’s not good for her either.

Look, I know how Merula stans are. There’s going to be people accusing me of needlessly hating on her. Here’s the thing though: I actually wouldn’t mind a redemption arc for her, but a redemption arc isn’t what she’s gotten so far. She’s so wrapped up in being right all the time that she won’t actually look inside and fix her problems. She just makes excuses as to why you shouldn’t be mad at her for being an awful person. She refuses to apologize for her behavior. Okay, so she hasn’t been as awful to MC in Year 5. So what? She deserves to be rewarded for basic decency? And only to one person at that?

Merula isn’t special. Like, almost every single person in HPHM has lost someone close to them or had a bad childhood. Both of Talbott’s parents are dead and you don’t see him locking people into a room with a deadly plant. Barnaby has an abusive family and he’s one of the sweetest members of the cast. Her backstory doesn’t absolve her of being an aggressive, verbally abusive, childish brat who is so wrapped up in being a childish brat that she won’t actually admit that she was wrong or take steps to try and better herself. She has no sense of self-awareness. All I want is an apology, at bare minimum

But I’m playing a Hufflepuff, not an idiot

Day 16. If the characters were youtubers who would they be and why?

Andi - Fran Meneses: Fran Meneses is an artistic YouTuber who makes money off of her work. If Andi were a YouTuber, I definitely think that like Fran, her channel would be centered around her art more than anything else. Andi is such a creative, crafty person who has shown time and time again that literally anything can be art, and I think that when she gets older, her bank account and Etsy page will thank her for that. I don’t ever think Andi will stop making art. Art is her passion. She turns to it in the good and the bad times. Like Fran, I think that art will be Andi’s career one day. I can totally see her having paintings in a gallery (maybe more collaborative pieces with her future husband, Walker?) and thousands of views on Etsy. Her YouTube channel would not only consist of tutorials and art challenges, but also of videos like Fran’s detailing her life as a career artist.

Buffy - Chiney Ogwumike: If Buffy were a YouTuber, I think she’d be less of the commercial sort of YouTuber whose brand is based around YouTube, and more of someone who does something else for a living and makes videos as a hobby. Chiney Ogwumike is a professional basketball player who sometimes makes vlogs. Sometimes they’re more oriented around her basketball career, and sometimes they’re more oriented around her as a person and her view on things. When I envision Buffy as a YouTuber, I see her as someone who makes casual videos so that others can see into her life, not as a full-time YouTuber. I can see Buffy going pro in basketball and making a name for herself in the world of sports and wanting to share who she really is with her fans by making videos. I can also see her using her platform to shake things up in the world of sports even more by calling the media out on their coverage, or lack thereof, of women’s sports, something Chiney has done.

Cyrus - Judging by his absolutley iconic English accent, if Cyrus was any YouTuber, I think his name would be Nick Crompton and his collar would stay poppin’...sksksksk nah, if Cyrus was a YouTuber, he’d be...Shane Dawson: Shane Dawson has been doing YouTube for a long time. He’s earned the title of OG YouTuber by now, and though his current videos are beautiful documentaries in which he tries helping others, specifically people who don’t really have a messy past, his early videos...aren’t that great. This isn’t trying to shade him in any way! I just mean that the skits he made in high school were made by someone who wasn’t that experienced in writing or directing or anything, his videos were just made for fun. To me, this parallels Cyrus’ script and the movie that he tried to make. As we know, it wasn’t good, but that doesn’t mean Cyrus doesn’t have the potential to make an Oscar-worthy movie one day. Additionally, that thing that Shane has inside of him that just wants to help people...Cyrus has that too. He befriended TJ and Amber even though they didn’t have that good of a track record with his friends, and though they had and still have to put the work in of being a better person, Cyrus was part of their journey to be better. On the other hand, we haven’t seen Cyrus (or Shane) really go out of the ways to help themselves and the issues that they have with themselves. I definitely think we’ll see that in the future with both of them, as sesason two saw a big build up in Cyrus’ confidence in himself and Shane said in a recent video of him that he wanted to start working on helping himself, but as of yet, we haven’t seen a ton of that from them. I definitely don’t think Cyrus would have the scandal-filled past that Shane has, but they definitely have a lot of similarities that lead me to this opinion.

Jonah - Joe Sugg: Joe Sugg is a YouTuber who makes a variety of videos ranging from daily vlogs to music to challenges. He sort of does a bit of everything. Basically, if it’s the latest trend, he’s doing it. I could see Jonah’s YouTube channel the same way: a bit of everything. I definitely think Jonah would keep up with the viral trends, but also focus a bit on hobbies of his, like music. He would have a ton of teenage fangirls and become really big on YouTube because who wouldn’t love him? And his content would be pretty general and wide, so he’d get a fair amount of views on all of his videos. If Jonah were a YouTuber, I could see him as one of the pretty it boys of YouTube with a focus on music, and I think Joe Sugg fits that bill pretty well.

Bex - Morgan Adams: Morgan Adams is a YouTuber who vlogs about her life. From her YouTube page, you would think that she’s the most laid back, relatable person ever. Though I don’t think that Morgan and Bex are exactly the same in a lot of ways, that relatable, chill energy radiates off of both of them. Bex asking, “How about some pizza?” in an uncomfortable situation and Morgan making an entire video about back to school snacks? Same. Damn. Energy. We stan relatable queens!

Bowie - AJayll: AJayll is a music reviewer who gets into every song she reviews. She has fun with her videos, and in turn, she’s fun to watch. Her and Bowie have the same chill vibes and the same passion for music. I could totally see Bowie absolutley jamming out and vocalizing along to tracks like AJayll does, and that’s why she is my choice for Bowie for this prompt.

Celia - Rachel Talbott: Rachel Talbott is a lot of things, but the most important role she feels she plays is the role of mom. Talbots’s videos are lifestyle vlogs centered around skincare, cleaning, organizing, health, fitness, and being a mom. If CeCe was a YouTuber, I feel like the role of mom would still be the most important thing to her, and like Rachel, she would post all about it. Still, even with that as her main focus, there will be the occasional travel vlog with Ham.

Ham - FunForLouis: FunForLouis is a travel vlogging channel that basically just started because of what it sounds like: Louis Cole just wanted to have some fun. Originally, the channel was comprised of videos of Louis eating shocking things, but now it’s a travel channel where he pushes others to go outside of their comfort zones and live their lives. I think Ham would be great at that. Traveling and exploring the world is something that is super important to Ham, so important that he left his family for a while to do it...it’s not a stretch to think that if Ham were a YouTuber, he would be posting the same kinds of videos Louis is.

Amber - Ava Gridley: Ava Gridley is a model who vlogs about everything from her travels to her art to her favorite music to her makeup to her girlfriend. She has a pretty diverse, chill channel that she just...shares her life in. I feel like if Amber was a YouTuber, she would definitely be a YouTuber/model, and a lot of the things that Ava is into coincide with what Amber is into in my mind.

Marty - Nathan Zed: Nathan Zed’s channel is mainly a react channel in which he shares his reactions to everything from memes to Marvel. He definitely keeps his audience laughing. I think if Marty was a YouTuber, his focus would be more on showcasing his witty banter than it would be on, say, his sports. That isn’t to say that he doesn’t sometimes bring sports into his channel, he definitely would...I just think that as a YouTuber, Marty would focus more on his “Marty from the Party” side than he would his “track star Marty” side.

Walker - Whyt Manga: Whyt Manga is an illustrator who publishes his creations through his own publishing company. Maybe I’m blurring the lines between Walker and Darius a bit, but I envision Walker as a bit of a weeb, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. I could see Walker making money with art in his own way: starting his own comic book/graphic novel company and publishing his own sketches and illustrations, which is exactly what Whyt Manga did. Whyt Manga and Walker are both brilliant artists, and I believe that they both have that drive and determination to work however hard they need to work in order to make art their career. They want to make comic books? They do that. They need someone to publish them? They create a publishing company.

TJ - Definiley Matty FUCKING Smokes 🤪🤪 For real though, if TJ was a YouTuber, I think he would be...Zack Evans. Zack Evans is a YouTuber who works for BuzzFeed. Currently, Evans does commentary for BuzzFeed Unsolved: Sports Conspiracies, a series that breaks down the validity of popular conspiracy theories about the world of sports. I could definitely see TJ doing something sports-centered in his videos, and I didn’t know what exactly that could be until I saw that series. I think TJ is probably a fan of all kinds of sports and would provide very good commentary on them. He is also a history buff, as seen when he easily rebuttaled Buffy’s Machiavelli quip, so I would like to imagine that TJ has enough insight on sports conspiracies to try and disprove them.

Iris - Ingrid Nilsen: Ingrid Nilsen is a lifestyle YouTuber who dabbles in a little of everything. Books, beauty, life, activism, and more are frequently featured on her channel. If Iris were to do YouTube, I think that she would make a lot of videos about life and advice that she has for others, as well as make a lot of videos about her more “nerdy” side. I also believe that like Ingrid, she is a very kind individual who would preach acceptance and love. Additionally, though I know Iris canonly had feelings for Cyrus, I also believe that her character mirrors Cyrus in practically every aspect, and I really like the theory that Iris is lgbt in some way, which also mirrors Ingrid, as she is a lesbian.

Natalie - Brianne Worth: Brianne Worth is an Australian YouTuber who vlogs about her travels, her opinions, and just anything she wants, really. She’s a really outdoorsy person. She seems to always be going on different adventures of all sorts. Though we do not see a ton of Natalie, what we do see points to a strong, sporty girl who is always the life of the party. Those kinds of traits are what I associate Brianne Worth with.

Gus - Cryaotic: Cryaotic is a gamer who, to my knowledge, doesn’t show his face. He just...games and pretty much leaves it at that. He’s done collaborations, but because we don’t know who he is, you can’t really tell how his life outside of YouTube is. We haven’t seen a whole lot about Gus, but what we have seen is that though he wants friends, he doesn’t really have them other than Jonah, and even that friendship is only sometimes. With that being said, I think if Gus was a YouTuber, he would probably feel way more comfortable being anonymous because that’s sort of how it is in real life. Hey, I could be wrong. Maybe YouTuber Gus would be completely the opposite because he wants to make friends! In my mind though, I feel like Cry’s approach to YouTube would allign with how Gus would approach YouTube.

Miranda - Laura Lee: Laura Lee is a snake and doesn’t deserve a following. Miranda can relate.
