Tony winner Aaron Tveit will rejoin the Broadway company of Moulin Rouge! The Musical at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre for a 12-week run beginning January 17, 2023. Derek Klena, who currently plays the role, will return to the cast on April 11, 2023.
Sweeney Todd is set to close May 5th. This means that the only two 2022-2023 musicals remaining on Broadway will be the zero-time Tony-nominated A Beautiful Noise (slated to close in June), and zero-time Tony-winning & Juliet.
This is deeply upsetting to me personally because the Neil Diamond musical was tedious, and the pop Juliet rewrite was actively one of the worst things I've ever had to suffer on Broadway. And while I did not like this particular Sweeney Todd revival, at least it was a Sondheim.
rediscovering my love for aaron tveit 10 years after i was obsessed with him after watching les miserables (2012) is so fun. he's even hotter pushing 40 plus he's a tony winner now. it's just slime tutorials youtube compilations and vibes.
When Tony Winner Aaron Tveit plays President John F Kennedy in a new prestige miniseries to replace the 2011 one and secures his first Emmy nom… yeah that’ll be history!
