Heyyy ho visto su letterboxd che hai guardato the story of film a new generation... Come ti è sembrato??
(Per me il film era Leave no trace. È successo anche a te con uno di quelli di cui ha parlato?)

Derry Girls next episode headcanons:
. After the kiss in Donegal and everything Erin and James are pretty down in the dumps. The school leavers' disco is coming up and Erin doesn't even feel like going.
. The adults have the class of 77' reunion dance on the same night and Mary is shitting herself, she's going to see all the girls from her old class and is worried it'll look like she's done nothing with her life being a 40-something housewife trying to go back to college. Sarah is mainly focused on looking her best in front of her old classmates and drinking enough to get through the night.
. Erin is eventually convinced to go by Michelle who's secretly gotten David Donnelly to take her to the disco. A while ago she'd have been over the moon at this news but to the gang and her family's surprise she's not that bothered. Gerry definitely suspects something is up with his daughter, he's noticed she's been acting differently since Donegal.
. In the flashback scenes to the 1977 leavers' disco we see the old gang - Deirdre Mallon, Sister Michael, Mary and Sarah and Clare's mum. Michelle's mum was exactly like her in her youth, sporting a grungey look, getting into shenanigans and sneaking booze into the dance. Sister Michael as a teen is shockingly optimistic and sweet, and kind of the innocent one of the group.
. Young Mary and Gerry end up having an adorable meet-cute at the dance and it's very similar to James and Erin because parallels
. At the current leavers' disco Erin and James end up going with different dates but my poor babies are miserable.
. The DJ/band plays an absolute 90s bop and a slow song (I'm thinking "Time After Time" or "Africa" by Toto) and the entire slow dance Erin and James are dancing with their dates just wishing it could be the other person.
. Some of the ladies at the 77' reunion are kind of bitchy to Mary and Sarah and poor Mary loses her nerve a bit. Luckily Deirdre Mallon, Sister Michael and the rest of the old gang are there and quickly put the others in their place.
. It ends on a pretty poignant note with a final flashback scene - maybe Mary and Gerry have a kiss or he walks her home or something but then when she gets in on the news there's been a bombing or some other Troubles stuff and we're reminded just how dangerous this shit got in the 70s. As for Erin and James they exchange a few polite words and go their separate ways but there's still so much left unspoken and we get a good dose of teen angst and the episode ends on a properly angsty 90s tune, etc "Like A Friend" by Pulp

Hi, just wondering if you’ve posted your Jerin kid fic? If you have may I please have a link to it? All good if not :) :) :)
I haven’t yet! I’m working on a sort of mock version of a Revival Series if we got Derry Girls but with Jerin and Co. kids so that’s going to take a bit - but I have basically the first episode planned out:
The Trip (Ep. 1) - James and Erin are dealing with a lot right now with their work, their wains and the new baby coming soon so it’s no surprise that they didn’t realize both have to take a trip to New York at the same time - leaving their daughters without a sitter. Can they trust their oldest Matilda to watch herself and her little sister and can any trip with the Derry Girls go smoothly? / With her parents gone and the responsibility of the house in her care alone for the first time ever, Matilda Maguire is determined to prove she can handle it, like an actual grown up… too bad with her friends Louise, Eilidh and Sienna that plan is easier said than done.
I also settled on Matilda (Matilda Michelle Maguire - James and Erin lost a bet with Michelle and she cashed in even though they had already picked an ‘M’ first name so now she’s M.M.M. forever now) and Dolly (Dorothy Marie Maguire - named after Wizard of Oz just like Erin’s dog Toto was but no one calls her Dorothy ever though, Dolly dubbing herself Dolly ever since she could talk). And Erin is pregnant with their son. And then there’s the stray the end up taking in…
Fun fact: Dolly calls her dad ‘Big Fella’ instead of anything else because as a little kid she overheard Mammy call Daddy her wee English Fella and Erin had to explain that to Dolly he’s not a wee fella he’s a Big Fella and ever since it has never ever left her mind to call him anything else
Anyway all this to say it’ll get posted soon hopefully if my brain cooperates!

Jess Watches // Tues 17 Oct Synopses & Favourite Scenes
Lupin (avec maman) 3x02 Chapter Two
An unfathomable loss rocks France, but Guédira and Raoul grapple with denial. A mysterious classified ad resurrects old ghosts and long-lost hopes.
I thought for sure he'd have an oxygen tank stashed in there with him. Surely he couldn't really have survived without one?? And the casual way his son just brushed off the death, because he knew it was bullshit, but then still confirmed it by doing research at the library.
Derry Girls (rewatching with mum) 1x03 Episode 3
The girls are tense about a big exam and naturally jump at a dubious opportunity to get out of it, especially as it involves spending time with the beautiful Father Peter.
Erin being surprised after they dig up Toto, but it soon turning to suspicion when she catches her the look on her ma's face, and using it to blackmail her. Also, all of Sister Michael's reactions to Peter.
The Horror of Dolores Roach 1x08 Stop Me (Season Finale)
Dolores can't be stopped.
"No more people empanadas!" Says the woman who cannot control her murdering ways. I was so mad at Luis for what he did to Nellie. The same thing Dominic did to Dolores. I was rooting for him and them smh.
Class of '07 1x01 Bird Shit
After getting dumped on television, Zoe goes into hiding by living off-grid until strange weather events lead her to seek out higher ground at her old school reunion.
I hadn't noticed the episode title so was unprepared for how the opening scene ended lmao. Also, is it hard to search for content on here because it has punctuation and a number in the title? Or has tumblr not watched it because it's not American?
Deadloch 1x08 Episode 8 (Season Finale)
Commissioner Hastings is chasing the wrong lead. Dulcie, Eddie, Sven and Abby continue to investigate the murders in secret, and they finally work out who the killer is.
Tammy & Miranda bringing the women food and pushing it through the barred windows was so thoughtful of them. And Abby not admonishing them for it, or caring that they visit Caruthers Island; Dulcie offering to murder James if he ever guilts Abby in to reconciling, the cunt; I was sad at the killer reveal, but really who else could it have been for us to care; On a happier note, Vanessa trying to be a better gay ally at the end <3

the best part of derry girls is that every time the girls do something crazy or illegal the adults can’t rightfully be angry with them because they’ve usually done something worse and can’t bear to have it brought up

Oh, my love
Tumblr media
Summary: James and Erin comfort their sick son.
Pairing: James Maguire/Erin Quinn
TW: Throwing up.
The sound of vomiting brought James round from his heavy sleep. Feeling the bed next to him, there was Erin - who was also slowly waking up.
They looked sleepily at each other, before shuffling over to the bathroom. Hunch over the toilet, in cotton Lego pyjamas - was their 9-year-old son.
Once he'd come up for air, he looked to his left (considering his been sat sideways on the floor), and uttered. "Mammy," his little Irish voice was filled with fear and sickness.
"Oh, my love," Erin was instantly crouched down beside him, rubbing his back gently as James sat on the edge of the bathtub.
James didn't know what to say. It was often Erin who did most of the sickness comforting (considering she was finally a flourishing author), and James worked at the office the entire week only getting weekends and holidays to spend with his family - save for the holidays he booked.
There were now tears streaming down his face.
"He's burning up, James," Erin said, after resting the back of her hand against their son's head.
Even their dog had come to see the fuss. After James and Erin had graduated from their universities - and found a place in Derry, James brought home a dog similar to Erin's Toto, and they named it Dorothy. Dotty to their 9-year-old when he was a tot.
"I'm not going to school, am I mammy?" He asked when he finally finished vomiting and leaned heavily into his mother. He loved going to school.
"Afraid not, buddy," James sat reaching over and running his hand along the top of his son's head.
There were a few false starts until the little boy was sure he was finished. "Alright, come on. Let's go back to bed," Erin says, gently picking him up and heading to hers and James' bedroom.
James switched off the lamp on Erin's side of the bed, leaning down - running his fingers through the lad's hair again - pressing a kiss to his son's head and then his wife's lips.
Tumblr media
He and Erin got up out of bed, tucked the duvet around the boy - who looked even smaller in their bed - and got dressed for the day.
James got everything ready for breakfast, the cereal, the bread for toasting.
Erin came downstairs, her slippers shuffling on the stairs and then down the corridor.
"Morning, love," she spoke gently, reaching up to press a kiss to his cheek and accept the cup of tea from his head.
She had already gently roused their daughter so she'll be ready to go to school.
"I just hope she doesn't catch whatever he's got," James said, buttering his toast.
Whatever Erin was holding clattered to her plate as she turned to look at James. "I've got a meeting with my editor this afternoon,"
James' eyes widened. He blinked repeatedly, his mind trying to come up with a solution.
So, he called into work letting them know he would be taking some of his holiday time to look after his sick son. When his boss tried to state they needed him - James mentioned there would be none to look after his young son (with his in-laws on holiday, and he's no longer speaking with his mother).
"Have I ever told you I love you?" She asks.
"You haven't today," he replies, a smile blossoming on his face.
She pulled him down, softly kissing him.
"Oh, boke," came the 11-year-old voice of their daughter.
"Speaking of which, you're brother's not going to school today, he's been up half the night," Erin tells her eldest, as James put the toast in front of the girl.
