When King of Kotha is compared to Pushpa, Dulquer Salmaan REACTS by saying, "It's a compliment."

According to Dulquer Salmaan, King of Kotha is intended to be a huge show for the post-COVID audience rather than a copy of Pushpa.

During the trailer and song launch ceremony in Mumbai, actor Dulquer Salmaan stated that his upcoming Malayalam action movie King of Kotha is not a parody of Allu Arjun's mega hit Pushpa.

"There is no such thing as influence. I adore Allu Arjun as a performer and as an actor. But the character sketch for this movie was created about three years ago; the movie has been in theaters since 2019. We thus had this in mind. I've heard this, and I consider it to be somewhat flattering. Although we are not attempting to mimic or counterfeit Pushpa, Dulquer added, "I hope it succeeds as Pushpa did.

In the Abhilash Joshiy-directed movie, Shabeer Kallarakkal, Prasanna, Aishwarya Lekshmi, and Gokul Suresh are among the other cast members. In order to satisfy the needs of a post-COVID spectacle-hungry public, Dulquer claims that it will be one of the biggest Malayalam movies in recent memory. Onam, August 24, the day of the Malayalam premiere of King of Kotha, will also see the release of its Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and Kannada dubs.

In their much-anticipated film Crew, set to release in theatres on March 29, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Tabu, and Kriti Sanon grace the screen together for the first time. Following the release of teasers and two songs, the unveiling of the trailer on March 16 heightened excitement. Kareena, in a candid moment, shared insights into her experience working alongside Tabu, reflecting the mutual respect and admiration between the two accomplished actresses.

At the trailer launch event on Saturday, March 16, Kareena Kapoor said, “I am super excited because I got to work with Tabu for the first time. Lolo (her sister Karisma Kapoor) has worked with her so many times. I had the opportunity and the honour of finally sharing screen space with her.”

Kareena was talking about Tabu and Karisma’s bond as they had worked together on Hum Saath Saath Hain, Biwi No. 1, Saajan Chale Sasural, and Jeet among others.

Directed by Rajesh A Krishnan, this film from Balaji Telefilms and Anil Kapoor Film & Communications Network is set to hit theatres on March 29th, 2024.

Sooraj Barjatya claims that Sunny Deol urged him to launch the Dono trailer: "Main ghabra gaya, and the first thing I told Sunny was, 'Lekin iss film mein action nahin hai,'"

Dono's trailer launch was place today in Mumbai and was attended by not only the film's actors and crew but also Sunny Deol, Poonam Dhillon, Ashok Thakeria, Sooraj Barjatya, Kamal Kumar Barjatya, and Ajit Kumar Barjatya. Sunny Deol's son Rajveer Deol and Poonam Dhillon and Ashok Thakeria's daughter Paloma star in the love story, which premieres on October 5. That isn't everything. Avnish S Barjatya, Sooraj Barjatya's son, also makes his directorial debut.

In a rare moment, Sooraj Barjatya raised laughter when discussing how the picture was conceptualized. "I always thought Avnish would become a chartered accountant!" he stated. He told me one day that he wanted to be a filmmaker. I was mute at first, but then I told him only two things that my father had taught me: if you want to be a director, you must be able to speak up. Tab hi bano, director. I am overjoyed that he spoke something and had a voice with this film."

"When Avnish narrated the concept, I told him you are free to make whatever you want," he said, "but remember that tumhari film dekhne Rajshri ki audience bhi aayegi."

Sooraj Barjatya then said that Sunny Deol asked him to launch Rajveer Deol with Dono, saying, "Then Sunny ji called me and said, 'Suna hai ki aap bete ki picture bana rahe ho'." I'm not sure if Rajveer is aware of this episode. Main ghabra gaya, and the first thing I said to Sunny was, 'Lekin iss film mein action nahin hai'! 'It's all right,' he said. I want a topic that my son will enjoy, and it should come from the heart." He also added, “Then Poonam ji spoke to my sister, Anuradha. The first pictures we saw of Paloma was where she was holding a gun! Yet, both Avnish and I realized that she’ll suit the part of Meghna.”

Murder Mubarak trailer launch: Pankaj Tripathi speaks on collaborating with Netflix for Homi Adajani’s directorial; predicts it will be “most loved film of the year”

Directed by Homi Adjani and produced by Dinesh Vijan, Murder Mubarak will be released on Netflix on March 15. 

The trailer of the upcoming Netflix film Murder Mubarak was launched at an interesting event in central Mumbai on Tuesday. The event was graced by the lead actors of the film – Karisma Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan, Vijay Verma, Pankaj Tripathi, Tisca Chopra, Sanjay Kapoor and Suhail Nayyar – as well as producer Dinesh Vijan and director Homi Adajania.

During the event, Pankaj Tripathi was asked about his 'tuning' with Netflix, as he has starred in a bunch of Netflix original projects such as Ludo, Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl and Mimi. Pankaj said, “Bahot accha hai taal-mel. Rab ne banaya hai mujey tere liye (Netflix). Accha hai. OTT ne duniya badi kar di hai.”

He further added, “Badhiya taal-mel hai bahot accha hai; woh Ludo ho, Gunjan Saxena ho aur bhi bahot saari cheeze hai wahan par; log dekhtey hai pasand kartey hai. Ye (Murder Mubarak) bhi karenge. Main abhi hi bata deta hu ke iss saal ki sabse jyada pasand ki jaane wali film hone wali hai ye.”

I'm gonna sound pretentious af with this but the whole steamboat willie public domain schlock going on rn could've been genuinely interesting if someone wanted to explore the cosmic industrialized horror of modern disney and the monetization of childhood wonder through some sort of psychological horror piece but this is the world where winnie the pooh got a slasher flick announced like a day after getting into the public domain and said slasher flick going on to become one of the worst rated movies in the modern era so I guess I really shouldn't have expected more than a barrage of low-hanging 'what if...Michael Mouse...but...evil??' projects
