Pavitr x fem reader
- Jealous HEADCANONS
Tumblr media
A/N: Apparently, Pavitr's costume and fighting style is inspired from Kerala, so I went with him also being from Kerala. (Malayalam is google translated)

Tumblr media
Pav Pooh is a uwu little jelly bean
It began even before you started dating. You were bffs so, naturally, you're invited to his house for Onam celebration.
Pav stands spellbound at your beauty as you'd worn the traditional off-white saree with golden border, your hair done and decorated with flowers. He's about to compliment you when his cousin beats him to it.
"Are all of Pav's friends gorgeous, or is it just you?"
Pav's face drains of colour as his cousin flirts with you. And you're indulging him!? That's it, you're not leaving his sight anymore.
"Flattery takes you nowhere, cousin."
His cousin ignores him. "Chuchudu, you should really visit Kerala sometime! We can go to all the tourists sites, go on a boatride -just the two of us, I can even teach you fishing!"
The idiot rambles on and on but Pavitr's eyes blaze in green fury 🔥 Chuchudu!? Chuchudu!?! How dare he call you cutie!
And, Gayatri just HAS to add fuel to fire. "Aww, you guys look so cute together! Don't they, Pav?"
"Of course! You look like father and daughter. What a rare bond, right?"
Pav tells himself it's because his cousin is an a-hole, which they are, and he doesn't want to see you hurt.
Lies, all lies. He jello
He constantly tries to separate you guys or atleast just be next you like a bodyguard, shadowing over your convos. If his cousin got irritated, they don't show it. And, thanks to his spidey sense, his cousin can't talk to you alone for more than 5 seconds, though they do manage to ditch Pav at times XP
Pavitr lets out a sigh of relief only after his cousin leaves.
The next time it happens is when a new guy, Ravi, joins school. Ravi takes one look at you and he's interested. He's always flirting at you everywhere: cafeteria, by your locker, in the hallway -even in the field.
Weekends usually mean extra superheroing so Pav can only meet you again on Monday morning at school. Or atleast, that's what usually happens. Today, though, you're at your locker with Ravi's arm around your shoulder as he talks to his friends. He says something in your ear which makes you laugh and slap his shoulder.
Pav is seeing green. And you seem to hang out with Ravi more as the days pass!
You suddenly find Pavitr showing up at your house whenever Ravi comes around, tagging along with you two and always standing inbetween, telling how long you guys are besties at every opportunity, touching you a LOT..
"WHAT do you think you're doing, idiot?" Gayatri traps Pav into a corner and gets him to spill.
"Okay, okay, I am jealous! I.. I like Y/n. Like, like her like her.."
"You what me?"
Long story short, you guys (FINALLY) get together and Gayatri squeals in joy.
After You Begin Dating
Boy, you underestimated how much he flaunts you
Hand-holding, kissing your cheek when he senses potential threat (thanks, spidey sense!), hugging a lot, lost of texting ("miss u moloo 😘", "can i come overrrr I'm boreddd :< ")
You assure him he's the only guy for you. "Pav, baby, I don't want anyone else. I've always been yours."
And, a little later in your relationship, you admit that the whole flirting thing with Ravi and Pav's cousin was a ruse to make him jealous. And Gayatri was in on it! ;P
"I'm sorry but you just look sooo cute when you're jealous!", you say, squishing his cheeks.
Pav feigns offense but he's melting inside knowing you only have eyes for him.
Also... C'mon, can anyone resist making this cutepie jealous?

History Of Devanagari Script
Tumblr media
Devanagari is a combination of the word’s deva and nagari. Deva translates as “heavenly,” “divine,” or “deity.” Nagari derives from Nagaram, a Sanskrit word that means “town.” Devanagari can therefore be rendered as “from the home of divinity.” The ancient term Nagar gave rise to the name Devanagari.
Nagari was one of the primary scripts used for the Sanskrit literature and first appeared in the northwest of the Indian subcontinent around 633 CE. It was fully evolved by the 11th century CE.
The 1st to 4th century CE inscriptions found in Gujarat provide some of the earliest epigraphic evidence of the development of the Sanskrit Nagar script in ancient India. [10] Nagar script variants, which are recognisable as being close to Devanagari, are first documented in Sanskrit Rudradaman inscriptions from the first century CE,Inscriptions from the Middle Ages indicate widespread use of scripts related to the Nagari, with scripts exhibiting local script alongside the adoption of Nagari scripts. For instance, the Siddha Matrika script and an early Telugu-Kannada script can both be found on the Pattadakal pillar from the middle of the eighth century in Karnataka.
By the seventh century CE, the Nagari script was in widespread use, and by the end of the first millennium, it had reached its full development. Numerous pillar and cave-temple inscriptions, like the 11th-century Udayagiri inscriptions in Madhya Pradesh, attest to the employment of Sanskrit in Nagari script in mediaeval India.
Moreover, the British Museum is home to an inscribed brick from 1217 CE that was discovered in Uttar Pradesh. Prototypes of the script and related variations have been found alongside historic artefacts outside of India, in places including Sri Lanka, Myanmar, and Indonesia. Buddhists in East Asia used the Siddha Matrika script, which is thought to be the closest ancestor of Nagari has historically been the foremost among the Indian scripts.
It has been used by religiously educated people in South Asia for a very long time to record and convey information, coexisting alongside a wide range of regional scripts (such as Mo, Kaithi, and Mahajani) used for administration, trade, and other daily activities all throughout the country.
In Kashmir, Sharada is still used in parallel. The Kutila inscription of Bareilly, which dates to VS 1049 (992 CE), exhibits the formation of the horizontal bar to combine letters pertaining to a word in an early form of Devanagari. [1] With a writing date of roughly 150 BCE and a transcription date of the 14th century CE, the 1,413 Nagari pages of a commentary by Patanjali are one of the earliest Sanskrit manuscripts from the early post-Maurya period still in existence.

Unlocking Taste Sensations: The Story Behind Chemmeen Podi's Shrimp Magic | Tocco
Tumblr media
Going to weddings in Kerala is about enjoying the grandeur celebrations, reuniting with loved ones and of course the grand feast that follows. Religious weddings not only differ in the format of rituals but also the food that’s served. For example, a traditional Hindu wedding is often followed by the Sadhya, which is a Kerala Thali served in banana leaf. Similarly Muslim weddings often have Biriyani to treat its guests. Christian weddings often start with Cutlet and wine, Appam and stew and there will be rice, and some specific set of sides we usually see at these weddings. While these are not set in stone, and the choices are changing, a traditional wedding mostly sticks by the set of dishes as above, which has become so familiarised among the local people.
Speaking of Christian weddings and the sides that’s served with the Kerala double boiled rice, in a bowl is kept, ‘Chemmeen podi’ or what it translates to as Dried prawn chutney powder, which adds a lot of flavour to the entire meal. If you're a fan of seafood, particularly shrimp, and you appreciate the complex flavours of Indian cuisine, then Chemmeen Podi is a powder that deserves a special place in your kitchen. Some call it, Chemmeen chammanthi podi, or dried shrimp chutney powder, the essence of this dish is definitely the sun-dried small prawns/shrimp.
Origin of Chemmeen podi and its influence in Christian families
Chemmeen Podi hails from the southern Indian state of Kerala, known for its rich culinary heritage and vibrant flavors. Kerala is renowned for its abundant seafood, and this spice mix is a perfect example of how regional spices and ingredients are used to enhance the natural taste of the prawns. Although in weddings, this is a usual sight, it’s not just during then, chemmeen podi is often seen in the kitchens of Christian families in Kerala, especially being made at home.
Kerala's Christian community, which includes both Catholics and various Protestant denominations, has a rich culinary heritage that reflects a fusion of local flavors and global influences. Especially those in coastal regions, they often have a strong emphasis on seafood in their diet. Shrimp and prawns are readily available and have become a staple protein source in many Christian households. Chemmeen Podi is a convenient and flavorful way to enhance these seafood dishes. It's important to note that while Chemmeen Podi may be more commonly found in Christian homes in Kerala, it is not exclusive to this community. It is appreciated by people of various backgrounds and culinary preferences, thanks to its unique and delicious flavor profile.
Preparing Chemmeen podi at home
Chemmeen podi can be very easily prepared at home. The key ingredient of the chutney powder is the dried prawns, and the rest of the ingredients are commonly seen in the kitchen - grated coconut, dried red chillies, shallots, ginger, curry leaves and tamarind. All the products are dry roasted one by one and mixed to blend into a powdered form. The key is to dry roast the ingredients without letting them to burn. Each ingredient in the recipe has its own unique flavour and when blended, brings an aromatic side to your dishes. In every household, people may improvise it by changing the quantity of the ingredients used or adding a few additional steps to this process.
If you don’t prefer to make this at home and instead look for options to buy online or in store, there are many choices including homemade Chemmeen podi too.
Accompaniment to your meals
The best combination of Chemmeen podi is when it’s served with rice. You may also choose to have it with Rotis, or snacks. It can be an ingredient to some of your preparations if you want to bring a variety of flavour to your dish.
Healthy eating practices
Dried shrimp are a good source of protein. Protein is essential for muscle growth and repair, and it provides a feeling of fullness, which can help control appetite and support weight management. Some of the spices in Chemmeen Podi, like red chilies, can temporarily boost metabolism due to their capsaicin content. This may lead to increased calorie expenditure, which can be beneficial for weight management. As the preparation involves dry roasting, it will be generally low in oil, hence a better dietary choice.
It's important to note that the health benefits of Chemmeen Podi are primarily associated with the ingredients it contains, and not only attributed to dried shrimp itself.  The quantity of Chemmeen Podi typically used in consumption is relatively small, so it may not provide significant health benefits, however, replacing an unhealthy side with a homemade shrimp powder can be beneficial for healthier eating. As with all spices and seasonings, moderation is key. While Chemmeen Podi can enhance the flavor of your dishes and offer potential health benefits, it should be used as part of a balanced diet to fully appreciate its culinary and potential health advantages.
Chemmeen Podi is a must-try for seafood enthusiasts and those who appreciate the nuances of Indian spices. This versatile spice mix is a gateway to the rich and diverse flavors of Kerala's cuisine. So, next time you're craving shrimp, consider giving prawn chutney powder a try to embark on a flavorful journey through the coastal delicacies of India.

Modi’s Southern Sojourn: A Strategic Push with Artificial Intelligence
In a whirlwind series of visits spanning the past 10 days, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has orchestrated an unprecedented outreach to the five southern states of India. From bustling roadshows to solemn inaugurations, Modi’s presence has been felt both physically and virtually, unveiling development projects worth over Rs 6,000 crore. The timing couldn’t be more critical as the BJP and the NDA gear up for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections with ambitious targets in mind.
Tumblr media
Over the course of his journey, Modi has crisscrossed Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana multiple times. Each stop strategically chosen, each event meticulously planned. Just recently, he graced Palakkad in Kerala and addressed a rally in Salem, Tamil Nadu. His schedule doesn’t relent, as he moves from public meetings in Telangana to Karnataka, culminating in a stirring roadshow in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.
The BJP’s stronghold in the South has historically been confined to Karnataka, but Modi’s relentless efforts signal a shift in dynamics. The party’s aspirations soar high, aiming to secure a substantial foothold in the region. Prakash Javadekar, Kerala in-charge for the BJP, exudes confidence, predicting the party’s emergence as the single largest force in South India.
But Modi’s strategy extends beyond mere physical presence. Leveraging technology like machine learning, the BJP is bridging linguistic gaps by translating the PM’s speeches into local languages. This strategic move ensures that Modi’s message resonates deeply with diverse audiences across the region.
Even before the Model Code of Conduct took effect, Modi was on a spree, virtually inaugurating projects and laying foundations, seamlessly connecting with the South from various corners of India. Whether it’s launching Vande Bharat trains or unveiling highway projects, Modi’s vision for Southern development knows no bounds.
Noteworthy is Modi’s “gifting spree” in February, where he inaugurated a plethora of projects ranging from educational institutions to infrastructure upgrades. The gesture was not just symbolic; it was a testament to the government’s commitment to Southern progress.
Moreover, the announcement of Bharat Ratna for the late M S Swaminathan, a revered agricultural scientist from Tamil Nadu, underscores the government’s recognition of Southern contributions to the nation’s growth.
In Modi’s Southern sojourn, every move is calculated, every step forward meticulously planned. As the landscape of Indian politics undergoes a transformation, Modi’s strategic push backed by artificial intelligence underscores a commitment to inclusivity and progress for all corners of the nation.

DYFI: CPM’s Youth Army Ready to Charge in Lok Sabha Elections
Tumblr media
The Lok Sabha elections are heating up, and every party is pulling out all the stops to woo voters. Among them, the Communist Party of India (Marxist) or CPM, has a hidden weapon that could be their game-changer: the Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI).
DYFI, the youth wing of the CPM, is a vibrant and energetic organization with a strong presence on the ground, especially in Kerala and West Bengal. Here are five reasons why DYFI could be the secret weapon that propels the CPM to victory in the upcoming elections:
Ground Game Gurus:
The DYFI has a strong grass-roots presence, particularly in Kerala and West Bengal, where the CPM holds power. This network of young activists can effectively mobilize voters, campaign door-to-door, and counter the BJP’s Hindutva narrative with progressive messaging.
Digital Dynamos:
The DYFI is adept at utilizing social media to reach young voters. They create engaging content, organize online campaigns, and counter misinformation spread by the BJP. This digital outreach can help the CPM connect with a wider audience and dispel negative perceptions about the party.
Ideological Torchbearers:
The DYFI remains committed to the CPM’s core values of social justice, secularism, and economic equality. This ideological clarity resonates with young voters disillusioned by the BJP’s policies and seeking alternatives. The DYFI can effectively articulate these values and mobilize young people to vote for the CPM.
Focus on Youth Issues:
The DYFI understands the concerns of young people – unemployment, education, and environmental degradation. They can tailor their campaign to address these issues and offer concrete solutions, attracting young voters who might otherwise abstain.Minakshi Mukherjee ,West Bengal CPIM’s new face in Lok Sabha elections
Challenges and Cautions:
However, the DYFI’s strategy also faces challenges. The BJP’s Hindutva appeal still holds sway with some sections of the youth, and the CPM needs to effectively counter this narrative. Additionally, internal factionalism within the CPM could impede the DYFI’s efforts.
Of course, there are challenges too. DYFI needs to avoid being seen as simply a youth wing of the CPM and carve out its own identity. They also need to ensure that their online activism translates into real-world action. But if they can overcome these hurdles, DYFI could be the secret weapon that helps the CPM punch above its weight in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

Yoga Vacation at Shivananda Ashram - From Tonnes to Ounce
FROM TONNES TO OUNCE ….
{Yoga Vacation at Shivananda Ashram, Neyyar dam, Trivandrum, Kerala}
My Life journey so far, has been swinging back and forth at various stages; sometimes I advance too fast and lag behind at a particular moment of life.  It’s like four steps forward and two steps backwards, with the resultant growth being seriously contained.  Studied Advaitha Vedantha deeply to a point and later drifted away from serious scriptural studies, though I kept in touch with lots of collections.  My recent exploration being “Gayathri” and “Mantras” for a serious internal Sadhana and deeper contemplation.
In the above context, the journey had to be reversed with a proper foundation. It was more of Vedantha and less of Yoga.   Hence, it is now time for practicing an Ounce of Yoga instead of tonnes of Vedantha.  I was attracted to “Sivananda Yoga-Vedantha, Dhanwantri Ashram” at Neyyar Dam, Trivandrum, Kerala {*}.  No theory, no benefit analysis, no Ashtanga Yoga but straight to Asana, Pranayama practice. My desire to study Upanishads in Sivananda Ashram at Hrishikesh (DLS) got re kindled and this appeared to be the first step in that direction.
I was sick for more than two days before starting this journey and when I reached Thiruvananthapuram, the condition was that I may not continue for a day more.  Body pain, severe head ache, feverishness, throat pain… all were bothering simultaneously and it was of course Covid (-)ve as per report.
Early morning, landed at a family friend’s house and couldn’t stop from falling asleep. Our beloved Kanakaraju and family took due care and I was back to journey ahead.  Reached Ashram at around 1 pm and after a brief discussion with the Director to whom we presented a translated copy of Bhagavadgeetha written by DVG.  Later I got into dorm only to continue my sleep.  Don’t even remember, if I took food that day evening or what I did after 1.30 pm that day !!.
Testing my limits – physical and mental:
Next day morning, I was told by my neighbour that there is a long trek to Kalipara hill nearby and we have to leave by 5.30 am and will come back by 7.30 am for Tea and asana classes.  I was not sure as I could barely walk and it involved steep heights to be climbed.  My energy level was too low even for a normal walk.  However, I wanted to test my limits and joined the young group of students for Teacher Training course.  Probably, this was the first trek in which I was at the end with a guide who was stuck with me!!
Started walking very slowly, using the rhythm of body to sync with breath and movement, a technique taught by the Director of Sivananda Centre, while briefing us just before the trek.  It really helped me to gather myself and to reach top of the hill after climbing steep, rocky roads for about 3.5 kms. Such a simple technique taught while debriefing and it gave an idea as to how practical tips can be used during tough times. Journey started with chanting Trayambakam Yajamahe three times – Mahamruthyunjaya mantra, a verse from Rigveda, believed to bestow longevity, wards off calamities/accidents and prevents untimely death.  It also removes fears and heals holistically.
We had to reach top of the hill before sun rise and there was no time to waste.  Shallow and steep jungle road with pitch dark areas; but we were well guided by the volunteers. Finally, it was a steep rock climb up with side support and slowly I started feeling better.  I could hardly put my next step, but something was pulling me up.   Cool breeze all around and the energy around could be easily felt.
A beautiful Sun rise behind Agasthya Malai:
On top of the hill, we all sat for Chanting on the huge rocky slope where Kalippara Lokambika Temple originally situated {**}.   As the chants progressed systematically, everyone got into an ecstatic mood and the first rays of Sun started showing up behind the peaks and we got immersed into the serenity of morning.
It was a delightful sight and we could see the panoramic view of Agastya Malai{***} (Final part of Western Ghats) seen in the back drop of Neyyar Wild Life Sanctuary.  Sage Agasthya lived here and he is one of the most revered Saptharshis who travelled from North to South bringing along his wisdom for the natives.
The sun arose fully from behind the peaks quickly elevating our own spirits.  It was such a wonder every time, since my child hood days to witness sunrise as well as sunset.  I used to walk/trek just to witness this natural phenomenon and to get energised.  My energy levels started getting normal and in fact greatly improved.
It appears that the Kali temple got destroyed in a lightning and there is only a small structure built recently.  We could see some very old tribal rituals done here with a square made up of bamboo and plantain sticks.  Previous day was Makara Vilakku and we were right at Sankramana – starting of Uttarayana, very auspicious for starting a new journey.  Though I didn’t plan for this at all, it all happened on its own.
The day one begun this way and we returned to Ashram for a cup of tea, followed by asana’s Class at 8 am.  I could barely bend anything and the technique of teaching made it all easy.  With a few relaxation exercises and Sun salutations, body became more adaptable for asana’s to be practiced.  The instructions given were very specific and clear to follow.
After the first class, I felt better than ever before.  I could test my limits on the first day and got ready for second class in the afternoon.  The second class for two more hours was exhausting as my energy levels again dropped.  But the body became more flexible.  It was time to strengthen my mind.  Work on your mind through your body!!
To tell you frankly, this is just a theory and I started feeling more and more tired with lots of weakness everywhere!!  At one point of time, I felt that I will not be able to cope up with this rigour and mind constantly refusing to do anything more.  It also planned my return trip mentally, how to go back and catch a train to Mangalore…. Lots of excuses kept on pouring and after a deep Satsang / guided meditation class which finished at around 9.30 pm I went back to sleep.  I really don’t remember anything what happened after my second Asana Class at 3.30 pm.  The decision has been made to quit the practice and go back as my body won’t permit, or mind thought so. End of an ambitious journey…..
Things got changed again…..
Day Two began with an early bath and I found a good place to do my morning Japa.  There is a small but energetic Devi temple in the precincts of Ashram surrounded by a meditation hall, ideally named as Rama Hall.  I went after a bath at around 5 am and pleasantly greeted by an old lady who was in charge.  I sat and did my Gayathri followed by chanting of Sukthas.  Somehow, my earlier decision to leave back to Mangalapuram, started melting down, as I felt that this is a golden opportunity to thoroughly rejuvenate.  Now after re charging myself in the presence of Amme Narayana I felt much more energetic than before and I decided to give it a try for another day.
Thus begun my second day and there was a Satsang at around 6 a.m. which contained a guided meditation and chanting of bhajans.  This added up to the serenity and now I was mentally prepared myself for next course of asana class in the morning.  This time the classes found to be elevating my bodily spirits and I felt lighter after nearly two hours of Yoga abhyasa. The instructions given were very precise and clear.  I just followed what is told without thinking twice.
Kapaalabhathi, Anulom-Vilom with retention followed by 12 sets of Sun Salutations cleared the bottlenecks in the body and prepared for further Asanas. Bhujangasana, Shalabhasana, Chakrasana, Paschimottanasana, Sarvangasana and Halaasana really started to make me feel better as the back getting loosened making free flow of energy throughout body.  Particularly, Sarvangasana and Halaasana stimulated thyroid glands and I felt great clarity in my thoughts.
The amount of Prana shakthi generated in these two hours was more than sufficient for the whole day and this first-hand experience under the watchful eyes of Yoga Teachers was amazing.  The precision of instructions made practice easy and smooth.  Every minute posture is observed and corrections suggested then and there, which made the practice easier and better with each posture and whole body started feeling extremely light within a very short period.  Exertion and relaxation going hand in hand made the practice effective.
End of the session, there was also a balancing posture either Kaakasana or Vrukshaasana and first two days, I could not find a true balance; but on the last two days, I was waiting to do these balancing postures and successfully / comfortably stayed in the pose for longer.  This clearly marked a distinct change in body and mind towards equanimity achieved through yogic postures / asanas.  Balance in these asana’s also meant that we forget everything for a moment and remain fully focussed in the posture without any thoughts.  An easy way to achieve thoughtlessness through a thoughtful gesture of body and mind!!
What followed next few days was only as expected.  The daily practices, Satsang-bhajans, evening chanting of Lalitha Sahasranaama in the Devi temple followed by “Paayasanna” by the Amma in temple were totally nourishing the body and mind.  I did not miss any of these for the entire stay and on the last day, I met Amma and prostrated her benevolent and worshipful eyes.  She is a pleasant lady in charge of temple and the serenity is personified in her face.  The chanting and prayer had a profound effect on my inner being and the experience is inexplicable.
My tryst with Asanas was fortified with after noon lectures followed by intermediary classes for two hours.  First day, I was the only student and there was a radiant young lady teacher who very specifically explained the philosophy of Sivananda Yoga and Vedantha.  As already seen, there is no fabulous theories, no cost-benefit analysis, no Ashtanga Yoga but straight to Asana, Pranayama practice with basic understanding.  When simple principles are followed, great things follow without fantasising by the mind and intellect.  This is exactly what I was aspiring for in the quagmire of philosophies in which I was caught.
It was a great experience in the most practical way.  Learning Yoga in Gurukula system, time for deeper contemplation and elevating my spirits were the main purpose of my Yoga Vacation which was abundantly fulfilled.  This is a great place to learn and teach yourself the best curriculum for Yoga designed by Swami Vishnudevananda, a senior disciple of Swami Shivananda.  Five Points for health and happiness incorporated in daily routine, being Proper Exercise (Asana), Proper Breathing (Pranayama), Proper relaxation (Savasana), Proper Diet and Positive Thinking/meditation (Vedantha and Dhyana).  I am fortunate that I got a real break in this wonderful Journey of Yoga and Vedantha through these five simple principles taught and practiced in Shivananda Ashram.
Hari Om Tatsat – Jai Swami Shivananda – Jai Swami Vishnudevananda.

What Makes German Difficult to Learn?
Tumblr media
German has a bad reputation for being difficult to learn. For centuries students around the world have been stuck translating German back and forth from their mother tongues, usually long, horribly boring passages made to illustrate a grammar rule or something. Hemingway himself studied German and wrote about his experiences in an essay where he talked about the struggles English speakers face when learning this difficult language.
But what makes learning German so difficult?
The only reason German seems so difficult to people is because there are grammar rules that other languages don't have. Enrolling in a German language course will help you learn more about grammar rules.
German is a language with a relatively high degree of "inflection," meaning that words in a sentence change based on their grammatical roles. For example, adjectives and articles need different endings to show which part of the sentence is the subject and which is the object. It would be great if you could do a German language course online.
Like English, German has many set phrases and verbs that go with specific prepositions. Adding another preposition or prefix to a verb can completely change the meaning. In English, a business can "go down" if rental prices "go up".
There is also the question of pronunciation. After a handful of spelling reforms, German is spoken much like it is written, but has some consonants and vowels that don't exist in English. Some of them look like their English counterparts, but it's hard enough to be confusing. Attending a class at a German language training center would be a good idea.
These elements certainly seem to be a tough nut for the German to crack. Don't worry, though—it's easy to balance out all the difficult features. Manjurans Academy is one of the most German coaching centers in Kerala.
In German, you have the initial disadvantage that it takes longer to form simple sentences, especially compared to a language like Indonesian, where only words come up.
However, if you know English you will be at a great advantage as you will have a better foundation of shared vocabulary and cultural knowledge. That advantage only increases if you know French or another Romance language.
As you reach more advanced levels, you'll see your vocabulary grow exponentially because you'll have already learned all the roots you need to create those long German nouns.

Fair trial goes beyond courts, to the police and media
For Mains
The need to prevent media trials
Criminal cases often attract media attention during investigation and early trial stages, while, outcomes of trial are end up becoming a footnote due to large time gap.
Unregulated divulgence of case details by the police force and disproportionate reliance on this information by the media results in a public stripping of the rights that are needed to ensure a fair trial.
This often results in the accused facing social ostracisation and difficulties in retaining employment, making them vulnerable to crime and exploitation.
This results in the erosion of the presumption of innocence i.e., the principle of innocent until proven guilty, which is also one of the Human Rights under Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
Tumblr media
Why we need a stronger code of ethics in media
Due to media’s ability to shape political opinion, law enforcement agencies are sometimes under pressure to selectively reveal certain facets of the investigation or to mischaracterise incidents as communal or systemic.
Courts have repeatedly directed law enforcement authorities not to reveal details of their investigations, especially the personal details of the accused, before trial is complete.
Despite this, statutory restrictions on the police to maintain confidentiality are rare, with Kerala being one of the few States to have disallowed photographs of persons in custody under its Police Act.
Apart from ensuring that police narratives are accurate before making them public, reporters also bear the burden of translating the significance of police versions in a criminal trial.
Many reports mention “arrest” without any information about whether such arrests are conducted in the course of investigation or after filing of a charge sheet — an important indicator of the degree of certainty with which the police can assert the claim that they are indeed criminals.
Current media regulation is limited, and while it is indeed needed to ensure a free media the issue is that Government regulation is not uniform for print and television media and enforcement of these regulations, where it occurs, is slow.
Self-regulation set-ups such as the National Broadcasting Standards Authority and Indian Broadcasting Foundation are membership-based and easily avoided by simply withdrawing from the group.

A Tiny Place for Books and Indie Bookstores
I had put out a listicle of My Favourite Books sometime last year over Tumblr which included books I hold very close to my heart, that I've treasured from a very young age.
A fellow Tumblr user, very recently, reblogged this, and I realized how It was time to introduce many more gems to the world than yearns for a book or more, which is why I’ve decided to introduce ten books to you this month that I’d absolutely love for you to indulge in. And Tsk…Tsk… They all belong to the Indian Subcontinent. My Love for the Subcontinent and its Literature can never be brought down. Fight Me.
Tumblr media
In Picture,
1. Off the Beaten Track: The Story of My Unconventional Life By Saeeda Bano, Translated By Shahana Raza 2. Voices of Dissent, An Essay By Romila Thapar 3. These Hills called Home: Stories from a War Zone By Temsula Ao 4. The Country Without a Post Office By Agha Shahid Ali 5. Coming Out As Dalit: A Memoir By Yashica Dutt 6. Bombay Stories By Saadat Hasan Manto 7. Lifting the Veil, Selected Writings By Ismat Chugtai 8. Translating Partition: Stories By Attia Hosain, Bhisham Sahni, Joginder Paul, Kamaleshwar, Sa'adat Hasan Manto, Surendra Prakash, Edited By Ravikant and Tarun k Saint 9. The Other Side of Silence: Voices from the Partition of India By Urvashi Butalia 10. The Sixth River: A Journal from the Partition of India By Fikr Taunsvi, Translated By Maaz Bin Bilal
While I discuss each of these beauties over the course of time, I’d also like for you to check out Indie stores where you can buy these books. Yes, I understand how amazon has all the books you’ll ever need but these booksellers put their soul into their stores and look after these books with utter love and care, which might be lacking in an amazon warehouse where all they care about is the money they make. When you buy from the Capitalist Giants, know that this effect leads to many other small book stores shutting down. When you dream of sitting by a cafe and reading wonderful books sipping on to the coffee, know that they put their dreams up their sleeve to bring forward what they had put forth for you to enjoy. The prices might be a little overboard, but Books are worth an investment if you’d like to look at it that way. With that, here is sharing a list of Booksellers and Bookshops that are Indie and has a wonderful collection you could shop from. While there are many, I’ve included in the list Stores which also provide us with an Online order facility, curbing the restrictions (See what I did there :))
Tumblr media
Champaca Bookstore, Library and Cafe
I have found some really amazing books over their portal that I’d have never seen otherwise. Though I had never been to the Store in person, I can vouch that they are extremely friendly people with their service and conduct sessions almost every week. You can order online or visit their stores. champaca.in
DC Books For the Kerala Folks, I’m sure you’ll find books from most publishers in here. They even hold some amazing rare collections. I was drooling over some Urdu Nazms the last time I visited the store. You can also order online. dcbookstore.com Readers Paradise Indore
An Independent Bookshop, established in 1975, Readers Paradise Indore is a fan favourite. While they don’t have a website of their own, they take orders over Instagram DMs and sent you the books, by India Post, the old fashioned way. instagram.com/readersparadiseindore Bombay Book Cleanse Sister to Bombay Closet Cleanse, a wonderful thrift store, Bombay Book Cleanse is home to some really amazing pre-loved & vintage books and vinyl. You’ll be surprised by what you’ll find here, which includes some rare first editions, and besides that, they have great offers you should definitely check out. Head to their IG right away instagram.com/bombaybookcleanse
And hey, do not miss out on that second-hand book store in your city. You know where it is.
Know a Bookstore you'd love for people to explore? Drop it down!
