if the troubletones lasted more than a few episodes as a glee club you’d better believe that i’d be sooo aggravating about it. instead i just post about the character separately cuz that era was so short 😞 but trust me if they lasted half as long as the warblers or any other glee club shown… oh yes

What’s your favorite seasons for Santana, Brittany, Quinn, Rachel, Tina and Mercedes?
Ohh this is such a fun question! Thank you Anon xx There's such an urge to choose a different one for each because six seasons six girlies but I shan't. At least not with that intention.
Brittany - Season 6
Starting with her because it's sooooo easy to choose. Gosh, how I wish we could have had season 6 Brittany for longer. If only she could have always been here, blessing us with her confidence. I cannot overstate how much this is my favourite version of Brittany. I also think it's a good albeit brief season for her plot-wise, and though I hear the criticism that she set Santana up for failure by pulling that Alma shit, she meant well and goddam did she do it in a fun way. Don't tell me the Brittany who tells Santana's homophobic grandma that sex with her granddaughter is great isn't the best version of herself.
Tina - Season 5
It was that or season 4. Listen, listen, I know a lot of people prefer her in the earlier seasons but they're wrong because diva Tina who has stuff to do is superior. It felt like season 5 finally allowed her to not only be part of the club but honestly be the de facto female lead. And it's a bummer that she's but a guest star in season 5B but season 5A has some of her very best vocal moments and is generally when I think she gets her dues. There's Tina in the Sky With Diamonds, of course, but even beyond that. Frenemies, Trio! The girl is actually getting plot! So yeah I guess you could argue for season 4 but iirc she sings the most this season and is still sort of the butt of the joke but it feels less disrespectful because she is actually being featured. She's beloved.
Santana - Season 4
I swear I'm not doing the season countdown thing on purpose. Obviously I love Santana in every season and I'm a firm believer that if you don't love her at her season 3A you don't deserve her at her season 4. And I reject the notion that she peaked in season 4 in that she didn't continue to be beautiful breathtaking brilliant never been done before afterward. But with all that you don't love my fave like I do talk aside, yeah season 4 is probably my favourite for Santana. Ironic because she actually misses a lot of episodes but she just has such an Arc and goes through such a journey. I love how lost she feels and how vulnerable she is after the breakup and how hard she tries to be a good friend but how much she sucks at acting like a normal person. The writers should have gotten her to New York sooner and my god do I have other notes for improvement in terms of writing but Santana herself? Beautiful perfect baby girl. She goes through your bags and drawers and hugs and holds you while you cry. Season 2 is also a contender.
Mercedes - Season 3
Oh poor Mercedes gets such a chaotic season. Unfortunately I don't think she has a standout season because she never gets enough of a story but season 3 feels the closest to having an arc. There's a bit there in season 1 but it's lowkey and in B plots, and season 2 similarly feels like they mostly forget she's there. Now I very much do not appreciate the way season 3A frames her because season 3A SUCKS but she gets to take a stand and shine. She gets shit done, stands by her principles and herself, gets The Troubletones going, demands the respect she deserves. And then season 3B sees the love triangle thing with Sam which I'm not a huge fan of but it does give Mercedes character drama and even then she stays so principled. She ultimately gets many happy moments and her stardom gets kicked off. So yeah I just love to see her stand up for herself and work towards her goals while also not being left out of the romance drama, which on Glee equals screentime.
Quinn - Season 2 I guess
I simply refuse to consider season 1 her best. I think people who only like Quinn in that season must not like Quinn very much at all because she's constantly decentered during her own pregnancy and has so little agency in it all. It also feels, just, sadistic to say all that horrible shit happening to her was the best. Then again horrible things always do be happening when she's around. And I think my latest Quinn ask was exactly about the messiness of season 2 so clearly this season isn't perfect, either. But she has stuff to do, you know? It's fascinating to see her completely reject the pregnancy. She refuses to be the teen mom people want to perceive her as. She clings desperately to a sense of normalcy, nay, superiority, and it leads to tensions with Santana and a messy dating life and Quinn ultimately crumbling at the end of the season. So, you know, still sad shit, but my god at least it's not You're Having My Baby. My other choice would be season 4 but she's in the grand total of two and a half episodes and I just happen to project a lot into it.
Damn it's really hard to choose for Rachel. I'm going to sound like such a hypocrite because I explicitly said I won't just do the girl-a-season thing but here goes:
Rachel - Season 1
Like with Santana, I would once again like to note that if you don't love Rachel at her season 5 maybe you don't deserve her at her season 1. And I do really like season 6 for her, for example, but it's been so long since I've seen that season that it wouldn't feel right to say it's my fav for her. Season 1 Rachel is just such a delight. Again, I think there's good in her (and for her) in every season and it feels too mainstream to say season 1 but goddam. It's the popular answer for a reason. Rachel is so earnest and so over the top and so hilarious. But then she has these come-down-to-earth moments and especially when Shelby the devil comes around we see how she's just a lonely girl desperate for love. She's so so precious I just wanna wrap her in a blanket. And I hugely dislike the Finchel stuff but unfortunately, that is what it is. Lots of other great moments.
Again great question, hopefully good answers too.

happy admin update day!
thank you for such a fun first week so far. you guys are so incredible and i’m having so much reading over all your plots. we did our first activity check as well! if you haven’t gotten the chance to read over on "that’s what you missed on…" check it out. i decided to make npc’s ( the faculty ) with mckinley to give a bit more in depth. as of right now we have teachers in our season one cast: will schuester, emma pillsbury, sue sylvester, ken tanaka, shelby corcoran. future older characters like coach beiste, holly holiday, roz washington will be introduced in the future and be incorporated in some fun plot changes. i have our exciting first event drafted! let’s just say… it’ll be a great way to kick off the college year. i’m planning on making it a week long event so you have time making paras amongst each other! i’m waiting a good time for our members to participate. an important note: life can get busy, so if you are in need of a hiatus/break please let me know. i am completely understanding when it comes to it. if you aren’t feeling a character anymore or need to leave the rp, let me know as well! i totally understand.
some faq’s
are characters able to switch glee clubs?
we’ve all seen some switches throughout glee, especially when mercedes decided to quit and join the troubletones, then later on rejoined the new directions. to keep it simple: yes. however, i would love to see some kind of development behind it if it makes any sense? i don’t want characters to switch back and forth just because! if you do plan on switching your character to a different glee club, be sure to let me know.
am i able to bring a big storyline? an example of this would be kurt being bullied so bad to the point of transferring schools ( like in season 2)?
yes! honestly, i'd beg to see some big storylines around here. all i ask is that you give me the heads up, especially if it's a triggering event.
can my character join a club/sport later on in the group? like cheerios?
they most certainly can! again, just let me know so i can update the list.

I just listened to the latest episode of and that's what you really missed on Glee. This one was hard to understand, because they both mumbled a lot. If I missed something or misunderstood it's on them.
Kevin was confused by the Finn/Blaine scene and I was confused by what Kevin was saying. I didn't really get his point. (He couldn't understand it, because he didn't get that Finn was a jerk to Blaine so far. Kevin thought Finn was stepping up.)
Kevin and Jenna wondered how a sixteen-year-old could work as a stripper and Jenna made an offensive joke about Kentucky. (I guess it's offensive, because I'm not American and didn't get the joke. I don't understand Jenna though. She complains about the Asian jokes, but everything else is fair game? I don't think so.)
Jenna and Kevin are excited that Chord is back. They heard a rumour while shooting that he was coming back, but didn't call him in case it wasn't true. They didn't talk to him during the time he wasn't on Glee. (Why? You would think that was a time he needed support from his friends.)
Then they talked about the Tina/Mike storyline. Jenna talked about growing up so many kids wanted to be in theater, but a lot of her friends didn't have their parents support. (I guess she doesn't realize this isn't normal. I didn't know one kid at my school that wanted to work in showbusiness.) Kevin said Tina sending out Mike's college application is a Jenna thing to do and Jenna said it's something she would do. (Forging a signature is a good thing? Really?)
The Troubletones had to redo their hair right before shooting, because they had weird tiny curls. Jenna and Kevin both wanted to do that number. Kevin said it was one of the best mash-ups of the show.
Kevin said a lot of nice things about Jenna and ABC. Jenna said it was a weird number to do and nothing she would normally listen to. (One of the things I love about Glee is that it introduced me to a lot of music I didn't know. You would think the actors were happy to sing songs that were out of their comfort zone and get a broader repertoire. Darren happily sings Glee songs. I don't know if he would choose these songs, if he didn't sing them on Glee.)
They didn't really talk about the Kurt/Sebastian/Blaine scene which is weird, because they like Grant and he will be a guest soon.
They didn't talk about the Sam/Blaine scene in the choir room. I thought it was a little weird that Blaine didn't wanted to be sexy. In season 2 he invited the girls from another school to see if the Warblers were sexy.
Cringe moment: the homeless jokes (We have a minor as a stripper and Tina commiting a crime)
best dance move: windy city + Troubletones
best song: I Will Survive/Survivor
best prop: Santana's joke book. Kevin said the jokes were so funny.
Performance mvp: Kevin choose Jenna

Brittana. Thoughts?
Ooh, question!
I will try to restrain myself from full-on rambling again. They’re sweet! Like, they’re not my absolute favourite ship on the show, but that’s more because I gravitate towards ones that are fun to make angsty and messy, and brittana aren’t really that? They’re two people who know one another so well, and will always support one another, and they’re just sweet on those grounds.
Dynamic wise, I love the fact Santana will find any excuse to insult someone, but when it comes to Brittany she’s instantly supportive (shout out to “Our prom theme is dinosaurs!” “Sheer genius.”) Absolutely no one would get away with even half of what Brittany does if they were anyone else, but Santana has a secret soft side and it’s adorable. Equally, Brittany low-key being very perceptive and being willing to go just as far for Santana makes them a good match.
Brittany able to be casual enough that there’s no pressure on Santana when she’s figuring herself out, that side is just sweet. And then as the years go by, the flipside - I feel like the break-up episode of S4 is endless drama in the fandom, but I kind of love the fact that the two that get the healthiest ending are brittana because, like, they know each other better than the rest, they are more mature than most of the cast. They’re that dynamic Glee seems to love doing, the cynic and the optimist, the cynic helping balance out the optimist from going too into the clouds, and the optimist just lighting up the cynic’s life.
Like, they contrast each other in so many ways that you can imagine people not really understanding why they’re together, but the fact they are ends up making a lot of sense.
(Also First Time Ever I Saw Your Face, not strictly a brittana song but it has a moment and it’s my fave cover on the whole show so I’m mentioning it here because I can)
If I’m going for a potted season-by-season:
S1 - okay I saw the “Sex isn’t dating. If it were, Santana and I would be dating,” clip before I saw the show but I didn’t realise it was basically Britt coming out so. I support her?
S2 - ...yeah I’m just going to skip this. From what I can tell S2 is very love-or-hate? And I just. Do not like any characters or ships this season. Brittana are not immune unfortunately.
S3 - okay, there is the one Episode that probably merits a rant-post at some point, but in general I love them here. Troubletones were great, they got more chance to show why they worked well together, and mutual care. This, for me, is when a lot of ships took off, and Brittana are definitely contained with that. We see Santana in a more supportive role than her usual, see the side of her that loves, and they shine.
S4 - yes, break-up angst, but couples that can break up and still navigate a friendship can make for compelling drama. The fact all of that care is still there - the fact that Santana seems to be less jealous that Britt’s with someone else, and more of the fact that she can actually see Sam being a good boyfriend and that potential ‘not endgame’ getting to her, it’s messy but it’s compelling. I love when Britt’s the more grounded one of the two of them sometimes as well, really shows how they complement each other.
S5 - as a follow-on, it’s nice to see the roles reversed for them - Santana coaxing Brittany back to being cheerful, while Brittany is the distracted realist. (Who has terrible maths teachers by the way). Like, it’s small, but it’s a sweet continuation for them.
S6 - I had a grin on my face for the whole wedding thank you
You can probably squeeze jealousy angst into them (as mentioned, I love that S4 ‘Santana broke up because it was the best thing for the both of them, but she does miss Britt even if she’s trying to put on a brave face and not hurt her’ and ooooh “To cry in front of you, that’s the worst thing I could do,” is a glorious re-use of the lyric) but for the most part, they’re two people that care for each other deeply and will do what they can to make the other happy and, yeah, sweet.
There’s less to dig into, I feel, beyond the ‘two people that complement each other wonderfully,’ but sometimes that’s just enough. (With the caveat, as ever, I do get the most drawn into the post-graduation dynamics, which does limit brittana interactions).
I can’t speak as to the history of them because I wasn’t there, but I know they were a huge deal to a lot of people when the show first aired, so that definitely earns them a few points too.
...I rambled anyway didn’t I?

9, 18, 26, 41, aaand 57 for the glee ask meme! <3 <3
9) Character you used to like but now dislike?
...would you believe me if i said brittany 😂 it's kind of funny bc when i first watched the show she was one of my faves since i binged the show pretty fast and didn't notice some of her shittier moments...but then i actually became active in fandom, and it was actually your blog that made me start disliking her, lol. in just a few weeks, i went from "wtf how could anyone not like brittany" when i first found your blog to having her as my least fav of the OGs - and this was in august 2020, way before we even became friends. tbh at this point i don't even remember what i liked about her in the first place 🤷🏻‍♀️
18) Favorite noncanon couple?
i really love pezberry as a crackship but tbh the non canon ship i actually wanted to be canon is mike/mercedes...they should've dated in s4 and it was a huge missed opportunity that they didn't. they would've made such a hot and talented power couple :(
26) Ship you used to dislike but now like?
hmmmm, i don't think my opinions on any of the canon couples have changed for the better but i have warmed up to faberry in terms of fanon ships. this fandom has done so much with them and i really enjoy all of it.
41) Favorite competition set list?
hmmm....gonna be basic and say s3 nationals. edge of glory is by far the best troubletones number, rachel's solo is breathtaking (and the studio version is even better), and PBTDL is the perfect closing song. they 100% deserved the win here.
57) An episode that makes you laugh?
silly love songs was the first to come to mind!! that ep was hilarious, especially the parts with blaine's terrible gap serenade and santana's antics.
ultimate glee ask meme - send me some numbers!

Brittana Analysis Part 6: Love Languages
I'm a big believer in the 5 Love Languages. I discovered it all a few years ago and I truly think knowing your partners love language can help your relationship, because you know how to communicate your love to them, and also read their way of showing love.
It got me thinking about Brittany and Santana’s love languages, and in true yin/yang style, how different I believe their specific love languages are.
If you don't know about the 5 love languages maybe give it a google first. I personally find it really interesting. But anyway here's my take (a short novel be warned):
Santana
I think Santana's love language is predominantly Words of Affirmation and Quality Time. You can tell she values words a lot in the way she communicates with Brittany. The way she shows she loves Brittany is by encouraging her, assuring her and listening to her. She's always complimenting her with words:
"You really are a genius Brittany"
"You're the most amazing dancer i've ever met"
"You are the unicorn"
"You're my lady knight in shining armour"
"You're my best friend"
"You're my favourite person in the whole world"
"You make me so happy"
Also note that most of the time Santana is the one to initiate saying 'I love you'. This doesn't mean Brittany doesn't love her as much, we'll get to that in a minute, she just has a different way of showing it. But Santana definitely values words! You can also see as well as giving love that way, she likes receiving words back to make her feel loved. Examples of this:
"Please say you love me back" 2x15
"I said I love you. You didn’t say you loved me back." 2x17
"Are we dating?" 3x04
She needs concrete proof and words to solidify it, whereas Brittany is the opposite. She already knows, without the words being said. Note that she says "Of course I love you" like it should be obvious to Santana. It's not obvious to Santana, because she hasn't heard the words. But because Brittany's love language is different, she doesn't feel the need to 'say it' she's more 'show it'. Another good example is her reaction to Santana asking if they're dating. While Santana again seeks verbal proof, Brittany has assumed their actions meant they were dating all along, no questions asked.
Further proof to me that words are so important to Santana is that in 4x22, when saying goodbye to Brittany, she tells her not to say anything. In my head this is because Santana is so affected by words, that hearing Brittany say anything in such an emotional moment, would have made it too hard.
Words are so important to Santana, and what's also interesting is the way she is so anti words at the beginning. Whenever Brittany wants to talk, Santana shuts her down. This is shown in 2x04 'there's a lot of talking going on', and also referenced in 2x15 by Brittany various times, in that Santana never wants to talk. This again highlights how important words are to Santana. She didn't want to accept her love for Brittany at this point, so she couldn't communicate words because it's her love language. But the minute she did, boy did those words of affirmation spill out.
She also says in 4x04 that she liked to say things with music, when words just weren't enough, something that we saw her doing a lot (she sang a lot of love songs to Brittany). This is also highlights how important words were for her. She values them as the top aspects, and the only thing she can do better, when even that's not enough, is to sing.
Now onto the Quality Time, I think again this another one of Santana's love languages and something that's really important to her. The main example I have of this is when she breaks up with Brittany, due to struggling with the distance. In the cut scene, she talks about how hard it is to not be physically around Brittany, and that due to this she stopped calling and texting because it wasn't enough for her. It just made her miss Brittany more.
'Both couples are rarely getting what they need' is something she says, showing how important it is for her to have that time with Brittany. She doesn't say she wants it, she says she needs it.
It's very important for Santana to be physically in Brittany's presence. Before they break up, she deliberately does laundry at home so she has an excuse to come back and see her. After they break up, she comes back on a number of occasions to see Brittany again. She admits in 4x06 that she only agreed to play Rizzo in Grease to come back and see Brittany.
While it's obvious that the distance would have affected Brittany too (who wouldn't be upset going from seeing their girlfriend every day to hardly ever), and we get to see the impact this has on her as well, I think it affects Santana more so, because it's her love language. Hence why she's the one to call time on their relationship, while Brittany could probably power through.
When Brittana do get back together, Santana mentions Brittany moving to New York quite quickly, because it's important to her not to have distance between them. She raises this again in 6x03, showing it's obviously something that plays on her mind. It's evident they'd both want to live together, but it's always Santana who brings it up.
My final example of this, is 6x08, and the way that Santana can't stay away from Brittany even for a few hours.
'I'm really sorry that I can't go an hour without seeing you, because i'll just miss you too much"
It's all about the quality time and sweet words for one Santana Lopez. Now onto Brittany.
Brittany
In standard Brittana style, I think Brittany's love languages are the complete opposite to Santana's. I would say her main love languages are Acts Of Service and Gifts. I'll start off with Acts Of Service.
Brittany is helpful by nature, but she displays that sign most of all, with Santana. She shows she loves her by helping her and doing things for her. She'd do anything to lighten the load for her and make things less stressful. Here are just a few examples:
Getting Santana the scholarship to Louisville and trying to help her figure out what she wanted to do in 3x16
Going to Santana's Abuela to find out her opinions on love/marriage/family in line with wanting her to come to the wedding for Santana 6x06
Doing most of the wedding planning. We see it's Brittany who approaches Artie to plan the wedding and she does the invites in 6 x 06, and she's seen at the venue decorating it in 6 x 08
She offers to come out on Fondue For Two in 2x19, even though she doesn't really need to, it's purely to help Santana
She allows herself to be nominated for Prom King, in order for Santana to be able to be Prom Queen, because she knows it's important to Santana in 3x19
She leaves New Directions and joins The Troubletones to make Santana happy in 3x04
She also helps Santana come to terms with her sexuality, and while at the start pushing Santana to talk may have been for her own reasons as well, it's shown that she still encourages Santana to accept herself despite staying with Artie. She wants Santana to do it for herself, and not just to be with her. She gets her the Lebanese shirt, and she constantly brings it up, and calls her out for trying to hide back in the closet and use men to cover it up. Because she wants to help her accept herself.
"I do love you, clearly you don't love you as much as I do, or else you'd put this shirt on and you'd dance with me" is very telling of this love language, as it shows how important it is for Brittany to help Santana, in order to show she loves her. When she feels she's not helping, it upsets her.
Even down to the finer details of the wedding, where Brittany is trying to make everything perfect. She tries to stick to traditions of not seeing Santana, wearing Tina's underwear etc just to make sure their day is great and nothing goes wrong. While she does ban Santana from seeing her in her wedding dress, she doesn't ask her do the other traditions (the underwear etc). If it was about tradition, surely she would request Santana does it too. It is just an example of Brittany doing everything in her power to make everything perfect, whilst making sure Santana has to do very little.
I think this is definitely a very important love language for Brit, and now onto her other one. Gifts.
We see Brittany show her affection for Santana many times with gifts and grand gestures:
She makes her a playlist for valentines day in 3x13
She buys her lilies and tickets to Lesbos in 5x13
She makes her the giant heart out of mounds bars as an engagement present in 6x02
She gives her the Lebanese shirt in 2x18
She also puts a lot of thought into these gestures. With the playlist she creates the cover herself and makes it personal to them, she's researched that lilies are the lesbian of flowers, and mounds bars are the lesbians of candy, she chooses Lesbos thinking it's a lesbian island (note Brittany is bisexual so she's doing this solely thinking of Santana), she calculates the minutes they've spent together for the engagement present. She gets her the shirt, to help her come to terms with her identity, and show her that it's okay. They are all so well thought out and this is because gestures mean a lot to Brittany, and they are for her, an important way of showing Santana how much she loves her.
You can also see it means a lot to Brittany when Santana performs gestures like this for her. Santana purely does it for Brittany, since it isn't her own love language, and you can tell it means a lot to Brit.
When Santana gets the song for Valentines Day for Brit in 3x13, you can see how touched she is by it.
In 6 x 08, when they release the doves, Brittany turns to Santana and says 'You did that!?' with her hand on her heart.
Whenever Santana sings to her, she cries. Note how emotional she gets in Saturday Night Gleever. She is a sucker for a big gesture
Brittana
So we have Santana all about the words and quality time together, and Brittany all about helping and doing things for Santana, and grand gestures. One area I think they both cross paths is the final love language, Physical Touch.
Both girls are very hands on, and it's clear they show and receive love by touching, hugging, kissing, holding hands etc. This is a love language they share, although i'd argue it's slightly more important to Santana. I think Santana initiates touch more, and when she is upset, she leans on Brittany for support and needs to physically touch her.
But both definitely exhibit this one!
There's obviously some cross overs. Everyone has features of all 5. Santana displays Acts Of Service when she helps Brittany with Kurt's campaign, with her own presidential campaign and when she helps her learn her lines for Rocky Horror. Brittany shows Words of Affirmation when she tells Santana she loves her more than anything in this world etc. It's a great representation of a healthy relationship as they are both changing their love language to suit the other, whilst not fully neglecting their own.
I think it's interesting how as with everything, they both have complete different love languages. You don't have to speak the same love language to have a happy and healthy relationship, you just need to be able to communicate and understand the differences, and know what makes your partner happy.
As Santana says in 6x08 'you love me, and i love you' so it's clear they both have no doubt in their love for one another, despite showing and receiving it in different ways :)
& there is my super long analysis. Congrats if you got to the end hahaha!

Magic
Pairing: Santana Lopez x reader
Synopsis: (Y/N) has been in love with Santana since you met her. Now that your a senior and she is off in college your friendship had faded. When she comes home to steal Brittany back from Sam, or that’s what (Y/N) thinks anyway, will they restrengthen their friendship or will it turn into more?
Word count: 2,805
Warnings: None I think. Talk of being turned on, if that’s a warning.
A/N: Happy pride month everyone! I got carried away and no one’s even gonna read it since glee hasn’t been relevant for five years, lmao I love that for me. Takes place during S4 E13 (Diva), and as much as I love Brittana, my love for Santana is stronger and I indulged myself with this. Bold words are lyrics.
Tumblr media
You're scrolling through your timeline as Finn starts talking about diva’s and the loch ness monster. You’ve been in a funk the past week, you’re best friend Santana Lopez hasn’t texted you back. It’s not a big deal in the grand scheme of things, you just wonder if you said something to upset her during your last phone call. You’re a year younger than Santana, but you two immediately bonded when she recruited you for the troubletones. The problem is that she isn’t just your best friend, you’re in love with her too. But you can never compete with the bond Santana and Brittany have.
While you aren’t out like either of the aforementioned girls, you aren’t necessarily in the closet either. It’s no one’s business but your own, it doesn’t affect anyone else, so you feel no need to share. However, your new best friend Kitty figured it out, she saw you checking out a girl when you two went shopping. Kitty fully supports you, and it’s nice to be able to talk to someone about your feelings for both Santana and in general.
Kitty leans over your shoulder to see what you're aggressively scrolling through, to see you whizzing past every post too quickly to actually read anything. You're about to make a comment to her about minding her own business, not that you care if she’s snooping or not, when something Finn says catches your attention.
“All the way from Louisville,” the former quarterback introduces, your head snaps up to look at him. “Give it up for Miss. Santana Lopez.”
You immediately straighten in your seat in the back row, Kitty looks at you as you stare at the shut door knowing how much the Latina loves to make an entrance. You see Brittany’s back become as straight as a board, no doubt nervous that her ex-girlfriend shows up right after she starts dating Sam.
Santana throws the door open and gives a little wave, she’s dressed in her new cheerleading uniform and her hair is straightened and down. You didn’t know it was possible, but she’s somehow more attractive than the last time you saw her, just a few months ago.
Your eyes rack over her figure as she starts to thrust her hips to the beat of Nutbush city limits. You don’t care if anyone notices your hungry stare, too wrapped up in the fact that Santana is right there in front of you again. All of the guys are getting into the song, the girls cheering on Santana and the group of cheerleaders she brought along with her. You gulp as Santana puts her leg in the air, and shakes her hips that way.
You glance at Kitty to see if she’s watching you still, she isn't. She’s leaned back in her seat, her arm resting on the back of your chair, unimpressed with the show Santana is putting on. When your eyes make their way back to your former best friend, her brown eyes are already on you. You're enraptured by the way Santana’s hips move to the beat, you can’t take your eyes off of her for the remainder of the song. You sink back into your seat as Brittany gets up to greet Santana at the end of the performance, Santana doesn't even glance your way.
“Santana, that was simply the greatest moment in show business history,” the ex girlfriends high five. “But how come you didn’t tell me you were coming to town? (Y/N), did she tell you?”
“Uh,” Kitty leans in closer to your chair for support as the glee club turns to look at you. “No, she didn’t.”
“You know, I think the better question is,” Sanatana ignores that you even spoke, directing her words to Brittany. You sink further into your seat and into Kitty’s friendly embrace. “Why didn’t you tell me you were dating Sam? Oh, and before I forget, allow me to introduce my backup, and my girlfriend, Elaine. And by girlfriend I mean, out and proud, lipstick-loving, AfterEllen-reading, girlfriend.”
Your breath catches in your throat as Santana kisses the pretty brunette to her left. Kitty looks at you concerned as you go back to staring at your phone. Instead of aggressively scrolling this time around, you stare sadly at the picture of you and Santana from her graduation day, which has been your homescreen since it was taken. Sanatana is standing with her arms wrapped around you in a hug, her red gown still on her, you're wearing her red cap and you both are staring at the other, laughing at the joke she had just told you.
Luckily the bell rings almost immediately after the kiss, you shoot out of your seat and bolt out of the room. Kitty quickly trails after you, sending a glare Santana’s way as she passes her. Instead of heading to the cafeteria, lunch is your next period, you head to the auditorium. You don’t know why, it just feels like the right place to go. Kitty is ten steps behind you, by the time she enters the auditorium you're overdramatically laying on the stage, your legs hanging over the edge at the knee.
“Do you want to talk about it?” Kitty asks. You know she doesn’t really mean it as a question, it’s more of a request that you talk about it.
“I don’t want to,” you whine, keeping up with your antics by throwing your arm over your eyes.
“If you don’t want to talk about it,” Kitty kicks the edge of the stage. “Sing about it.”
“Okay Mr. Schue,” you move your arm from your face and roll your eyes at the blonde.
“I’m being serious,” the skirt of her cheerleading uniform bounces as she flounces up the stairs to the top of the auditorium. “I’ll sit up here, you won’t be able to see me, and just sing it out.”
You know she’ll nag until you do what she says, so you huff and stand up. You take a deep breath, brush the dust of your clothes, and start singing. When you first open your mouth you don’t know what song you’re going to sing, but the words to every little thing she does is magic by the police leave your lips.
Though I've tried before to tell her. Of the feelings I have for her in my heart. You had tried time and time again to tell Santana how you really felt about her. But something always got in the way; Brittany, her graduation, other glee club drama, or you just chicken out of it. You aren’t Brittany, you aren’t in college with her; you're just a high school student and her former friend, she’d never be interested in you the way you’re interested in her.
Every little thing she does is magic. Everything she do just turns me on. Whether it be a stunt during cheerleading, belting out the lyrics to an Amy Winehouse song, or talking about her day over pasta at breadstix; she made everything feel magical. The simplest of dance moves, or when she’d sing a song to you, or strutting around so confidently in both her cheerio uniform and her own clothes; would turn you on more than you thought possible.
I resolved to call her up a thousand times a day. And ask her if she'll marry me in some old fashioned way. But my silent fears have gripped me long before I reach the phone. Long before my tongue has tripped me. Must I always be alone? You’re young, you’re naive, you haven’t experienced the world yet, but you want to marry Santana Lopez. You’d marry her tomorrow if you could, spend every day for the rest of your lives joking around with her, dealing with Snix every time Santana gets angry, and facing criticisms for your life choices and sexuality with the woman you love by your side. You want her to be the last thing you see before going to bed, and her gorgeous face being what you’re greeted with every morning, falling asleep in a tangle of limbs. But it wasn’t in the cards for you, you always ended up alone. Anyone you were interested in the past was never as into you as you were them, or at all.
When you're done with the song Kitty starts clapping from the back of the auditorium, you’re distracted by her so you don’t see the person standing in the doorway. Santana watched the entire song, smiling and hoping it was about her when she heard the love and passion in your voice, thinking you were alone in there until she heard Kitty’s claps.
“You need to sing a solo,” Kitty gushes about your singing, running up to the stage.
“I’m not Marley and Blaine good,” you dig the toe of your shoe into the stage, not meeting Kitty’s eyes as you blush at the unexpected comment.
“She’s right, (Y/N/N),” Santana’s voce drifts through the auditorium. You straighten your back as she walks into the room, not knowing how to act around her in this moment. “You've gotten so much better.”
“Oh, uh,” you stumble of your words, you’ve been trying to get a hold of Santana for a week and you've been met with radio science. So why does she want to talk now? “Thanks, Kitty’s really helped me with my confidence this year. And I’ve been practicing, I guess.”
“We should get going,” Kitty tugs you away from Santana. “We have to go eat lunch. And (Y/N) is helping me study, she’s amazing with chemistry.” Santana watches helplessly as Kitty pulls you off stage and away from her. You send the Latina one last glance before the auditorium doors shut behind you.
--
“Kitty!” you pant, having just run the length of the school to get to the choir room. Everyone looks at you confused as you run through the doorway the following day, even Santana from her usual seat next to Brittany.
“What is it?” she stands up and walks to you.
“The email,” you pant again. “I got the email. Shit, I need to workout more.”
“What does it say?” Kitty gets excited now, going to grab the phone out of your hand.
“I don’t know, I’m too nervous to read it,” you admit, pusing your phone into her hands. She eagerly takes it, opening and skimming through the email.
“(Y/N), I’m so sorry,” your face and spirits fall as you realize you got rejected. “That you have to go to New York without me.”
“I got in?” you ask in disbelief.
“Of course you did!” Kitty pulls you into a hug. “Go bobcats!” You laugh and squeeze her tighter.
“What's going on?” Santana asks.
“(Y/N)’s turning into a bobcat,” Brittany answers her best friend.
“I applied to NYU’s early admissions program,” you grin at Santana, who’s making her way from Brittany’s side to yours. “And I got in!”
“That’s amazing!” she pulls you from Kitty’s arms into hers. “We can hang out when you get to New York.”
“You’re going to New York?” you ask, not pulling away from her embrace just yet. “What about Louisville?”
“How about I tell you over dinner tonight? Breadstix, eight o’clock?” Santana asks, more so demands. “Dress cute,”
She pulls away before you can respond, walking out of the choir room without another word. You stare after her with wide eyes, is it a date? Kitty pulls you to a seat and Finn announces that Tina is the official diva or whatever, apparently Tina went off during lunch yesterday. All you can focus on is Santana, who wants to go out with you tonight!
Once rehearsal is done you rush to your house, trying to pick out the best outfit for tonight. It needs to show off your assets, but it can’t be slutty; it has to be nice, but it can’t be too fancy, or too casual. You finally settle on a nice new outfit you got when you went shopping with Kitty last week. You quickly get dressed and rush out of the hose, seeing as how it’s almost eight already.
Walking into Breadstix you don’t see Santana, causing you to worry that her and Brittany were just making fun of you and pulling a prank. Realistically, you know Brittany would never do that, but every part of you was horrified that Santana would never feel the same way. Before you can get too worried, Santana walks in the door behind you. The two of you are quickly seated and get to talking about how different the glee club is without her.
“What’s the deal with you and Kitty?” the brunette asks, taking a bite of a crunchy breadstick.
“What do you mean?” you let out an awkward giggle, taking a sip of your drink.
“Are you two dating?” you almost spit the liquid out of your mouth at Santana’s absurd question. Her words are sharp, the look in her eyes fiery, a glimpse of Snix.
“Of course not!” you furrow your brows, why would you ever be with Kitty? “What made you think that?”
“You were checking me out yesterday,” Santana states defensively. “And Kitty seemed upset about it. And earlier you ran to her with the good news.”
“Kitty and I are friends,” you say slowly.
“I just thought-” she cuts herself off, taking an aggressive bite of her breadstick.
“That I like girls? I don’t,” Santana’s face falls, before hardening into her bitch face. “I like you.”
“What?” her eyes snap up to meet yours. You reach across the table and grab her free hand, running your thumb over the back of her hand.
“I’ve been in love with you since I met you,” you laugh lightly. “But you had Britany and you never seemed interested in me.”
“I was,” Sanatana says quickly. “I still am.”
“You have a girlfriend,” you pull your hand away from hers as you remember her girlfriend and their kiss in the choir room. “I don’t like cheaters. And I’m not going to be someone's other woman.”
“You’d never be the other woman,” she quickly reaches for your hand again, missing the intimate contact. “I want to show you off.”
“What about Elaine?” you pout, it all sounds like a line from one of those sill rom coms where the main character dates a cheating scumbag.
“I paid her with scratchers to be my girlfriend,” Santana admits quitely, seemingly embarrassed. “I wanted to make you jealous. Tina told me about Sam and Brit in the same phone call she told me about you and Kitty. Snix took over, I was mad that Brit didn’t tell me about her and trouty mouth and I was jealous that Kitty got to be with you when I never did. So I paid her to be my girlfriend.”
“Oh,” you don’t know how to respond to that, so you change the subject. “What about Louisville? Why are you going to New York.”
“It was boring,” she answers non-commitly. You give her a look that says you don’t believe her, so she amends her statement. “No one liked me there.”
“Then it’s their loss, because you’re the strongest most amazing person I have ever met,” you tell her sincerely, meaning every word out of your mouth. You squeeze her hand in reassurance that it isn’t just some line to make her feel better. “But why New York?”
“I’ve always wanted to move there, make it big. I was still deciding between that or Sue’s offer of being her assistant couch.”
“Well I think you made the right decision,” you smile at her. “You’d be miserable here in Lima, you’re made for so much more than this. Plus, Sue is an ass.”
“You were the final push I needed,” Santa leans across the table.
“Me?” you're shocked that you can sway her decision.
“I thought that if we were both in the same city that you might go out with me then,” if you didn’t know any better you would think the Latina was embarrassed.
“I would date you no matter where we lived,” you lean in too, not caring if people saw the intimate moment. “Even if we were living halfway across the world from each other. You’re so worth it Santana.”
“I love you, (Y/N),” she whispers, breath fanning over your lips. You bite your lip as you smile at the four words you had been waiting to hear for so long, her eyes immediately shift from your eyes to your mouth.
“I love you too, Snix and all,” your giggle is cut off by her lips descending on yours. You both smile into the kiss, happy that you finally admitted your feelings for each other.

These two will always be my favourite friendship in Glee 😔💕
There's something so pure about their relationship, such opposites but yet they work so well. He always seemed besotted by her and she seems annoyed by him and yet you see the way she smiles at him and he smiles back. Not many people have the ability to make Santana soft but something about Sam draws Santana in and makes her adore him. Even though he shows disdain for it at first Sam grows to love Santana's nicknames for him and even begins to embrace it, it's endearing and she no longer means it in a way to put him down. He seems to bring out the dorky, fun side of Santana that we know she has and she obviously feels comfortable around him to be that way.
I adored how in 'hold on to sixteen' she personally went out her way to welcome back Sam to the New directions even though she was on the troubletones and was at that time treating her rivals with attitude. Her welcome home rant was Borderline ridiculous but showed that in her own bizarre way she had missed him. He of course just smiled and showed her geniune affection, something Santana isn't used too, but she slowly embraced it.
In many ways I feel she is so drawn to Sam because he's almost everything that she adores about Brittany but in his own unique Sam way, she doesn't feel threatened by him. When they fought over Brittany, obviously Santana was jealous but I also believe she was hurt, hurt that Sam could break the code by dating the girl she still loved. I'm glad that they resolved their differences in 'The quarterback' and that touching moment of Sam seeking comfort in Santana came across as an unspoken truce between them. I loved their silly moments together in the 2nd half of season 5, it's a shame we were only given small glimpses of their friendship. I always have thought that these two were alot closer than screen time implied but I loved the moments we got.
I believe these two could be the best of friends based on their mutual respect and adoration of one another. Both are incredibly dorky but in different ways and that's what makes for an incredibly hilarious dynamic, they are like cat and dog but they work and I wish we had seen more of their friendship.
Also they are both so hot, so two pretty best friends do exist.

“Best duets on the show! PERIODT! Couldn’t tell us shxt 😂 Honorable mention, Troubletones, @heatherrelizabethh and @littlelengies 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾 miss you baby girl and I love you #NayaRivera I’m so mad the world will never see how high you could have soared. Her brain was brilliant. She was smart and as quick as a whip. Always had me in stitches, we would be in tears laughing so hard at one another. - There was never competition, or shade, or intimidation with us. Just pure adoration and mutual respect. You deserved better. You were so much more than just this show. Your talent outshined us all so many times! - Favorite Naya Moment: tour bus to London, Naya greasing her scalp with Doo Gro oil, a plastic cap and a silk bonnet 😂 my sister said “oh Naya you blackity black black” we burst out into laughter! We needed it too because we just wanted to get home to our families. We were alike in that way. We love hard, and protect our own, and we don’t take no shit from anyone (Kevin is literally the byproduct of US 😂) We can either slice you with our words, or bring you comfort with that same breath. Dealer’s choice. I say your name everyday and hold you in my heart, just like I do Cory. - We are working as a cast and crew and a family to come together and show love, and it’s all because of you. Your presence brought so much excitement, so much passion, so much joy, and in your absence you’re STILL holding us accountable and getting us together. I’ve cried until my tear ducts have dried out, now it’s time to celebrate the fact that us mere humans got to experience walking through life with an earth angel. Rest well. I pray you found the peace we all are searching for. - Please keep Naya’s family in your prayers. Please be mindful of the things you say to them or messages you send. If it’s anything beyond condolences and words of encouragement, keep it to yourself. All they need is love and good energy and support right now. We clear? Cool. Thank you 🙏🏾” -  Amber Riley

5 episodes for the glee ask game: Sectionals, Special Education, Hold On To Sixteen, Thanksgiving, We Built This Glee Club (sectionals episodes :)
thanks for the ask🥰🥰🥰
im sorry this took a while but i am an idiot who decided that the only proper way to do this is rewatching all these episodes and taking notes
im also rating these based on my general enjoyment watching the episode and not on how good they actually are
expect this to get real rambly lmao
1. thanksgiving
this episode was just so much fun. i loved it!! the beginning was already amazing when all the old glee club members returned. each of them being assigned a newbie was a fun idea even if we kinda didn’t get to see any of it. i admit i was missing a unique and mercedes scene. but there was a two second marlique scene so im happy. the actual competition was not my favorite part of the episode but i still had fun although i think the warblers really didn’t need two songs. live while we’re young didn’t really do anything for me. i would have been just fine with whistle because while the song makes me kinda uncomfortable i also think it’s hilarious that the warblers performed it. then there was also gangam style which i know most people cant stand but i actually kinda like it. like yeah it’s gangam style but it’s also a tina solo and the dancing is fun. the new york side of things was also great. the orphan dinner and let’s have a kiki are definite highlights here. and naturally the entire klaine phone call made me lose my mind. kurt reaching out to blaine?? them agreeing two meet each other??? both of them saying i love you??????? it’s too much for me. so yeah overall i thought this was a great episode. i just didn’t like marleys eating disorder storyline (although it really gets bad in the next episode when everybody’s blaming her for it) and the way jake and ryder talked about marley like she was a possession
2. hold on to sixteen
season 3 is by far not my favorite but i find this episode to be really enjoyable for the most part. the only real criticism i have is the quinn/puck/shelby storyline but that gets thankfully wrapped up here. over than that everything else was great. kurt and sebastian have one of my favorite interactions in the beginning (i don’t like you. fun i don’t like you either) and sam returns!!! everyone sings red solo cup and is happy. there’s also actually quite a lot of tina in this episode and there are two quinntina moments in the episode which is just an instant win. we also get the troubletones being awesome and the new directions in one of their best competition outfits. and while i’m not the biggest fan of the songs they sing it’s great that more than one person gets to sing. we are young also alway makes makes me emotional so there’s that. also the gerber baby makes an appearance!!! i love her and the song she sings!!!
3. special education
looking at my notes i feel like i mostly enjoy this because of kurt lol. because yeah kurt is now with the warblers. and while i actually don’t really care that much about them (i’m sorry) it means that kurt gets to do something in this episode. also blaine is there and sings soul sister which isn’t my favorite solo of his but way more fun than i remembered. the hummelberry in this episode was also great. because even while my unpopular opinion is that i always like them a lot together i think that even if i didn’t feel like that i would enjoy them in this episode. they are really entertaining and rachel really supported him. also the hipsters were great and honestly if anyone deserved to tie with the new directions it should have been them. as in hold on to sixteen the setlist is really good if just because multiple people get to do something. on the downside finchel was really not it. rachel was just unreasonable jealous and then cheated on finn?? why am i supposed to feel bad for her here??? there was also minimal wemma which im glad there wasn’t more of. artie and brittany were actually pretty cute but the magic comb thing was just weird and i don’t like how they kind of infantalized brittany.
4. sectionals
the drama in this episode was great. now that i didn’t watch 12 episodes of various baby dramas first it was a lot of fun to see it all unravel. and even though it doesn’t make any sense if you think about it for more than 2 seconds them having to prepare a new setlist was great. you can’t always get what you want isn’t really the most exiting song but since the other ones are don’t rain on my parade, and i’m telling you i’m not going and my life would suck without you i don’t mind. there was a lot of wemma but i actually didn’t mind it this episode. they were honestly kinda cute. also there’s a pezberry moment so i’m happy.
5. we built this glee club
both the beginning and the end were kinda boring to me. there was also just too much puking and will and sue fueding for my liking. but otherwise i liked it a lot. the exploding packages are hilarious and the new directions actually practiced for a competition! their setlist was pretty good for the most part. and again more than one person sang. i like to think we have kurt to thank for that. i liked vocals adrenalines songs a lot. while they are all awful people i do enjoy watching them perform. there’s also st berry here which was pretty cute even if i’m pretty sure rachel still dated sam when she kissed jesse.
and that’s it! i’m honestly impressed if anyone made their whole way through this

GLEE CLUB LESSON #2: DUETS
hello, new directions and trouble tones!
your next glee club lesson of the year is: duets!
Please continue reading for a special event announcement and details about the lesson.
admittedly, this lesson had more of a sway from dan, but since miss holliday is such a ‘lax soul, she figured dan’s reasoning was as good as any.
so? what’s the deal with duets? to put it simply, dan’s performing the biggest duet of all-- marriage! yes, his long-term, long distance girlfriend is in fact real. nia tibideaux, granddaughter of the carmen tibideaux, and c-list child star is ready to trade in her glamorous new york city life for a spot at dan schuester’s side as his wife. both being supporters of the arts who have found themselves with a wedding on november 6th, they’re more than open to student performers at their wedding. of course, in true glee fashion, everyone is invited to the occasion, but more than anything dan and miss holliday want to see numbers that comply with a duet but also are suitable for a wedding environment!
as a reminder, the new directions may have won the invitational, but the troubletones will be in charge of any school performances moving forward in the year. in addition to school functions, the troubletones will be afforded one number per set as a part of new directions moving forward at competitions. both instructors implore their students to remember that in addition to aforementioned reasons, this lesson serves to aid all performers in gearing up for sectionals come december!
any song performed as a duet is open for your character to perform, we only ask that you send songs you intend on having your characters do in some form of interaction in the headcanons channel in our discord so there is no overlap!
duet partners will be drawn from a hat in true glee fashion. this will be conducted in the discord, in real time shortly after this is posted, via our favorite wheel of chance. feel free to have your characters react in the choir room server setting!
if your character is not apart of a glee club, of course they can still perform a duet if you so choose! in addition to the assigned duet, everyone is welcome to do as many as they please with whoever they please. who knows, one of the duets might just end up as a first dance song for dan and nia!
if your character is in a glee club, we encourage you to utilize this task as a way to move your plots along in a very glee way. pick a song in line with the theme and post a self-para or collaborate with another player on a duet and of course just visualize with the group number. in addition to those guidelines for glee club members, since this is glee, any character is welcome to sing a song as long as it goes along with the lesson. if not threads or self-paras, we welcome any interactions that comply with the theme. let us see your characters listening to their songs on spotify, tweeting their reactions, most everything is fair game, we want to see everyone get creative!
as always, have fun, good luck, and try not to get slushied!

How do you headcanon brittana in 5x20 had santana actually been in the episode lol like scenes etc., do you see Brittany's scenes going any differently etc.?
Anon! Sweet Anon. When I got this I thought this ask was very interesting but, unfortunately, it was the day I had a 10 hour-flight and went on hiatus so, oops, my bad on replying three weeks later. Hope you're reading this, let's go.
I think there are two main versions of this, one where we actually explain the confusion around Brittana in s5B and what was with Santana returning without Britt, and one (more likely would have happened) where we don't mind that and Brittany returns without acknowledging all that.
To do the latter first, I suppose this is what we could have gotten realistically. I'm not sure about the rumours surrounding 5x20 but IIRC there was a possibility of both Santana and Britt being in the ep, it wasn't an either/or. In which case, I don't see Brittany's scenes changing too much. She shows up the same way only instead of the Yeast-i-Stat line about Santana we have a throwaway meta joke about their Lesbos vacation and Troubletones scenes with Mercedes. I wish all people who robbed me of that a very step in shit, btw. And Santana is involved in at least some of the TV script scenes instead of Britt such as the ones that were obviously meant to be Kurtcheltana ones. Other than that, I can maybe see one or one and a half, if we're generous, actual Brittana scenes happening.
I headcanon that they would have reaffirmed moving to New York together after the tour, saving us the same dialogue from 6x03. Maybe a scene just before Pompeii where Santana's packing up to go on tour with Mercedes and Britt is helping her, Santana reminisces about New York and Britt having sent her there only for them to be in the city together this time around. Dare I say, even a throwback to the 4x04 laundry scene and a full circle moment now that they're together again? Just something soft and sweet with Mercedes coming in later and the three embarking on their adventure together. AS WE DESERVED. God, fucking Glee can pry my TT girls out of my dead cold hands. Anyway.
Tumblr media
Now, the second version is more complicated and less likely for Glee to have done. In this version, there's some tension when Brittany shows up in Bushwick though we have some of the same jokes. But something happened, minor fallout during their holiday, maybe Santana acknowledges that Brittany came back later than expected. You know, anything to make sense of the s5 timeline and what went down with them after they got back together. It still makes zero sense to me that Santana missed a few episodes, came back later without explanation as to where Britt is and then Brittany showed up in 5x20 not knowing where Santana would be. What? No way. So here we explain it through a minor conflict moment and maybe it makes it into the first version of the pilot script. The exaggerated version of their fight (which was barely a fight, anyway) makes Santana realize that it didn't matter that much. What matters is that Brittany is there, much the same as in the other version. This scenario gets us more Brittana content and like a tiny bit of conflict but only to explain the confusion of s5B. Same TT content more or less, same conclusion, sets up their s6 arc where Santana decides on the proposal.
I'm sure that even if Santana was in the episode the Brittana content would have been minimal, but I think there was a way of smoothing over their story even in just one or two scenes. Either way, I headcanon an alternate version of 5x20 being like a missing puzzle piece. It connects where we left them in 5x13 to where they come back in 6x02 and especially 6x03. Even if we joke away Britt's extended vacation, we still could have had a moment of reflection between the two that leads smoothly into the Mercedes tour. God, I would fight someone, anyone, so hard for tour content.
All in all, 5x20 pisses me off so much but I like the one with Santana in it in my head. She deserved one last NY episode and we deserved a taste of NYC Brittana. Mostly though Naya as a person and professional deserved better but I digress.

SO HERE’S WHAT YOU MISSED ON GLEE…
we started with pilot 1x01 → we are now following showmance 1x02.
the glee club members have been finalized and been posted up through the bulletin boards. don’t fret though, will schuester has decided that anyone can still audition for glee ( especially since he needs all the help he can get ). he’s decided on splitting each glee club on separate days; each with the same, and/or different lesson. sue sylvester however, is especially unhappy— with seeing some of her cheerios joining the club that’s taking up half of her budget. she has a plan though, so will has decided to keep a good watch on her. same goes for ken tanaka, seeing his football players deciding to sing show tunes. football season is not starting off well. tensions are arising, and some college bullies aren’t happy seeing this new upbringing. vocal adrenaline and the warblers are ahead of plan, practicing non-stop until their voices bleed. well, at least for vocal adrenaline. sectionals will be coming sooner than you think, but why not get to know each other a bit more? for this weeks lesson… find a song that best describes you. it could represent how you’re feeling as of now or how it fits your personality. at the end of the week, each club will end with a group number. oh! and don't forget... next week you'll be performing at the annual pep rally. won’t that be fun?
NEW DIRECTIONS singing don’t stop believin’ by journey
THE TROUBLETONES singing alien superstar by beyoncé
DULY NOTED singing standing next to you by jungkook
JUNIOR VARSITY singing as it was by harry styles

I just listened to the latest episode of and that's what you really missed on Glee.
Jenna and Kevin were going on and on about how nice and sweet Damian is. (I'm a little disappointed that they didn't adress the Irish jokes. I thought Jenna would be sensitive about it. I hope when Damian is a guest he will say something about it. He couldn't back then in his first episode.)
Last Friday Night: The Katy Perry video was already out. When Kevin heard that Darren was singing the song on Glee he was like 'guys, you do know that we were both in the music video and I was in the music video a lot. ' And then they added him for a little thing. (This is a good example for the difference between Darren and Kevin. I don't remember Darren talking about the Katy Perry video, but I bet his reaction was: 'Wow. I can't believe I'm in a Katy Perry video. My life is great.' And not 'Why has Kevin a bigger role than me.')
Jenna was a little jealous that she wasn't in the Troubletones. She felt left out, but then she thought this was a chance for Tina to get more songs.
Kevin was in panic. He thought with Darren and Damian he would never sing again.
Then they were going on and on about Vanessa. Kevin said the Sugar/Santana diaglogues are gold. Jenna said that when Vanessa had just one line she made the best of it. (Did Jenna forget that she is always complaining that she had just one line?)
Kevin and Jenna liked that Finn was stepping up and told Blaine that he was new and has no say because of it. (I didn't like it. It's not just because I like Blaine. I thought it was weird. Finn was a nice guy and he was mean to Blaine for no reason until we found out a couple of episodes later that Finn was jealous – not stepping up.)
best dance move: Candy Man
best song: Candy Man (and Damian)
performance mvp: Damian with a shoutout to Cory

          THE MUCKRAKER : FIFTH EDITION (  JUNE 15TH, 2040 )
THERE’S NEVER A DULL WEEK IN LIMA, OHIO. READ THIS WEEK’S EDITION BELOW TO STAY IN THE KNOW OF LIMA’S HOTTEST GOSSIP!
EMORY PUCKERMAN IS STILL CRAZY AND WE AREN’T SHOCKED! (pg 2)
this week we got a hot little tip from @drewharts about our favorite psycho @emorypuckerman. he’s told us that before taking @shanepuck to prom, emory threatened him with a kitchen knife! while we aren’t surprised he waited until it was absolutely dire to come forward with this piece of information, we are shocked to hear of all people emory would threaten drew! this church boy is the perfect level of boring that you’d want your sister going out with! that’s none of our business of course, apparently some people’s issues with men just run that deep.
CHEATERS NEVER WIN. (pg 4)
while this source elected to remain anonymous, they tell us that their best friend hooked up with @hunterxslade in the back of his record shop! this comes as a surprise to absolutely nobody considering that both sofia and alivia were born boring. all we have to say is our hearts here at the muckraker go out to sofia, but maybe if she developed a personality her boyfriend would stop cheating on her! all and all, we can’t help but wonder what kind of other skeleton’s hunter might be hiding!
MCKINLEY TITANS? MORE LIKE MCKINLEY CRABS! (pg 6)
@julien-schuester and @roryslade‘s prom night hook up was nothing short of muckraker material (as seen in our prom issue) but as it turns out, little miss daddy issues has tested positive for those pesky crotch pheasants! how do we know this? well none other than @emorypuckerman seemed eager to dish this dirt on her ex. and to make matters worse? we hear julien and rory are both refusing to tell their other hook ups about their downstairs infestation! yikes!
COLUMBIA BOUND CUTIE HOOKED ON SPEED! (pg 8)
@sunshinestephaniekoo is a legit psycho! but as it turns out there might be a reason behind her irrational mood swings, random relationships, and questionable relationship with her parents. lima’s very own escobar @eli-stjames has told us that stephanie is one of her most frequent buyers which is “why she acts so cracked out all the time” in eli’s very own words! here at the muckraker we can only hope she gets help, or maybe she doesn’t, regardless it will be entertaining for us!
TROUBLETONES IN TREBLE? (pg 10)
despite continued efforts, it’s no secret that no other glee clubs at mckinley high don’t hold a candle to the new directions. so when @roryslade sent in that troubletones coach @ohbcth was attempting to snatch her away from the new directions, we just had to publish it! while all female show choirs can be done right, we have to wonder what’s going so wrong in the troubletones that beth has resorted to poaching! more importantly, we can’t wait to see what kind of fall out this causes between beth and new directions co-directors daniel schuester and blaine hummel-anderson.
THE ST.JAMES’ AREN’T OVER THE RELIZABETH BREAK UP & NEITHER ARE WE. (pg 12)
half of lima must have been heartbroken when @reggiemartinez and @eli-stjames called it quits, but in a not so shocking turn of events, reggie has sent in a tip saying rachel and jesse st.james bribed him to try and get back together with eli! he’s reported that rachel begged him, “please take the money.” to which jesse responded, “we could actually stand her while you were around.” while this may come as a surprise to some, we see no reason why reggie would lie and we expect nothing short of this kind of crazy from the st.james bunch. we’re wishing eli the best, we can already tell this week is gonna be rough and the last thing we wanna write is an obituary for an overdose.
CHECK BACK NEXT MONDAY FOR THE MUCKRAKER (ISSUE #6)
