Top 5 Brittana headcanons

1.) They were childhood friends who knew each other since they were maybe six or maybe even younger and they were instant best friends. They were just always kind of each other’s “person.” Yes, I’m going to ignore canon.

2.) Their first kiss and first time were both with each other. The first time they had sex happened in their mid teens in Brittany’s bed and it just sort of happened then they kept sleeping with each other after that. That’s partially why Santana was so reticent when the other girls were talking about their first times because she wouldn’t talk about something so important and private for her with other people like that. Brittany wasn’t lying when she talked about the “alien invasion” because that was her first time with a guy but Santana was her first time with anyone at all.

3.) Brittany is the one who is more open to having children after they’re married. She is the one who brings it up first and she is more relaxed about it while Santana is much more cautious and nervous for many reasons even though she wants it too very much.

4.) They do end up having a lot of kids and they both love it. I’m going to agree with all of HeYa’s headcanons and say they have a big family with at least three children and it’s a little chaotic but they have a very happy family life.

5.) They “make love” for the first time during summer after season 2 after being distant from each other for a long time after the Artie situation in season 2. It’s the first time Santana acknowledges that it means something intimate instead of just meaningless sex and looks into her eyes and lets herself be completely vulnerable. It’s like a re-do of their first time, or at least that’s what Santana tries to make it into and she worries about it not being romantic enough but then Brittany calms her down and everything ends up being perfect.

Do you have any headcanons for how Britt and Santana celebrate their sons first birthday?

They'd probably have a smaller, more low-key birthday party with just them, probably Whitney, Pierce, Maribel - and maybe a few of their friends like Rachel, Mercedes and Tina. I can see Brittany wanting a cat theme or a dinosaur theme. Santana thinks that's adorable so she goes along with it but Britt goes a little overboard with the decorating.

You just know baby Marco would love all of the things Brittany loves (cats, unicorns, dinos, aliens... the list goes on). They get cat balloons, cat ears for Marco and Britt. Britt and San are kind of exhausted because it's not easy being first time parents. Marco is really boisterous and demanding too just like Santana was as a baby but at least he's sleeping through the night most of the time now so that's a relief to his parents. They just hang out, have cake and ice cream. Marco gets it all over his face of course. He's more fascinated with the balloons than anything else but he also has a major sweet tooth like Britt so he really gets into the cake.

do you think Santana or Brittany wrote the first verse of light up the world? like, in canon?

I know it's a popular fanon thing that either of them, most likely Santana wrote it. I love that interpretation and I'm gonna go with Santana based on the vibes and her taking the lead on the verse. It's a cool headcanon, to have her write and sing this as a sort of promise to Britt that she will make a move for real now. I know the lyrics fit a Brittany pov as well but I'd like to think it was Santana actually writing it as a sort of gesture and a sign that they'll be moving on from the s2 angst. But in any case it's a Brittana verse.

🛼GLEE CLUB GO ROLLER SKATING 🛼

Rachel: Thinks she's really good and is going ok but falls over after about 20 minutes which causes her to storm off but she rejoins after she's calmed down

Finn: Is decent but keeps crashing into the wall and fell over a few times

Quinn: Graceful but sticks close to the sides and doesn't really let go until near the end

Santana: Good skater, fast and confident and can do some tricks, probably wears inline skates instead of quads

Brittany: Same as Santana and at times, they go round holding hands

Kurt: Pretty graceful but never skates very fast and sticks near to the sides incase he need to grab onto them

Mercedes: Sticks near the sides and falls over a lot which causes her to get the giggles with Quinn

Blaine: Very skilled and wears inline skates and zooms around the rink, although he takes time out to skate with Kurt

Sam: Pretty good and speedy but attempts a trick a falls over which humbles him and he returns to skating normally

Puck: Skates very fast and shows off which causes him to get a bit reckless. He falls over but that doesn't stop him. Everyone else tries to skate away from him incase he knocks them over too.

Tina: Only skates holding Mike's hand and takes him down with her on the only time she fell over

Mike: Extremely skilled skater but tones it down for Tina. Towards the end of the session he shows of his skills and impresses everyone

Sugar: Refuses to partake because the hire skates are unhygienic and she doesn't want to mix with the poor people. She watches from the side with snacks

Joe: Skates were a shock to him, as he was still getting used to closed toed shoes. He is not very good and falls over too much so gives up and watches from the side to cheer the others on

Rory: Decent skater but cannot do any tricks or skate very fast so sticks near the sides just incase

BONUS HEADCANONS

Rachel definitely brought her own pair of personalised pink roller skates instead of using the ones available to hire because she thinks it's unhygienic to hire things

Mercedes and Quinn go round the edges together and get the giggles to the point where they need to sit down because they are laughing so hard

Everyone, especially Rachel and Kurt, sing along to every song that plays through the speakers

Santana and Brittany race each other around the rink when they're not holding hands

Finn leaves the rink before the session is over because he's tired of crashing into things so he goes and gets a drink and cheers Rachel on from the side

ok, if the new directions ever had a halloween party here are some couples costumes i had in mind (note: there are overlapping ships and some of these things don't apply to the glee time period. pretend they're gen-z ok)

Tike: Katherine (Tina) and Jack (Mike) from Newsies. Of course Mike loves a good dance musical. And Tina wants to play Katherine someday.

Brittana: Joey (Brittany) and Uncle Jesse (Santana) from Full House. Britt thought it was so cute that Santana dressed up as Jesse when she was a kid, and Britt's convinced that they were a couple on that show. Lord Tubbington plays Michelle.

Faberry: Heather Chandler (Quinn) and Veronica (Rachel) from Heathers. It's just them.

St. Berry: JD (Jesse) and Veronica (Rachel) from Heathers. Both have that intensity in their relationship (but without the abuse and murder ofc)

Klaine: Leaf (Kurt) and Chip (Blaine) from The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. It would just be so cute and funny. Kurt makes both of the costumes (though it hurts him to have to intentionally make the cape look sloppy.)

Finchel: Barfee (Finn) and Olive (Rachel) from Spelling Bee. Rachel knew of the musical but Finn liked it much more. She was glad that he found an interest in a musical on his own so that's what they did. They practiced the Pas De Deux as well and it was a beautiful mess.

Samcedes: Ron (Sam) and Hermione (Mercedes) from Harry Potter. Mercedes was a closeted Potterhead for years. Sam only saw the movies (he has trouble reading due to his canon dyslexia) so Mercedes reads the books to him. She painted freckles on him and he got a red wig. Sam thought she looked INCREDIBLE in that uniform.

Bartie: Chrissy (Brittany) and Eddie (Artie) from Stranger Things. Sure, Britt's just playing another cute cheerleader in a different uniform, but they both love the show. Artie's wig is atrocious and beautiful.

Marlique: Gomez (Marley) and Morticia (Unique) from The Addams Family. It's unexpected but works so well.

Jarley: Voldemort (Jake) and Quirrel (Marley) from A Very Potter Musical. It's so nerdy but cute. They shuffle around back-to-back the entire night. Gotta commit to the bit.

Tartie: Doofenschmirtz (Tina) and Perry the Platypus (Artie) from Phineas and Ferb. It would be ridiculous but so fucking funny. Artie's special party trick is that he can make the Perry sound. Never fails to amaze people.

Pizes: Jack (Puck) and Rose (Lauren) from Titanic. They both secretly love romantic dramas. They recreate the iconic "I'm flying" pose and Puck carries a notebook with him the whole night for realism.

What is each member’s love language?

In general with Brittana I believe it's physical touch. That's the way they always communicated with each other even when they wouldn't talk about their feelings. Aside from that, Santana is more about verbal declarations of her love while Brittany will show her love in more subtle ways through her actions.

Who falls asleep first?

Brittany. Brittany can fall asleep within ten seconds, literally anywhere and anytime. Santana actually has a lot of difficulty getting to sleep because she's so nervous and wound up.

What are some non-sexual activities they do together?

As teens, Brittana would always watch all these ridiculous movies and tv shows with each other and critique everything. As teens and after they're married, they go out dancing and they party a lot. Dancing is their thing. They go to clubs. Especially during the Honeymoon phase of their marriage.

Who is “more loved” by the in-laws?

Both of them are liked by most of the in-laws but perhaps Brittany even more so. Brittany doesn't have a big family but her parents consider Santana to be their daughter-in-law practically since they were teens and they totally take Santana under their wing. Santana's mom doesn't really approve of Britt even though she doesn't say anything against her either after they're married and her dad doesn't care/doesn't approve but he doesn't want anything to do with her. However, Santana's extended family adores Brittany, particularly her cousins and aunts/uncles in Puerto Rico. They find Santana annoying especially when she argues with them but they adore Britt and she's the life of the party at their family gatherings. Santana gets so jealous when her cousins try to flirt with Brittany.

Who fell in love first?

It sounds cheesy but I think they kind of did at the same time? They just processed it differently. They felt this connection to each other, like some kind of soul connection since they met when they were children (in my headcanon) then in their early teens, that feeling starts to become more defined and turns romantic. Only the realization hits them in different ways. Brittany finds her love for Santana totally natural and it comes as not much of a surprise to her. Since they were kids, they would always say that they were going to get married but neither of them really knew what that meant.

She's about fourteen and she just is hanging out with Santana like they always do, watching a romance movie and she realizes she loves Santana, not as a friend but like the way the man and woman love interests in the movie do. She loves a lot of things but she loves Santana in this passionate way that she has never felt before about anything and it just makes her heart grow and swell. Brittany realizes that she loved her all along and Santana is her soulmate. Everytime Santana protects her or takes care of her when she's sick, she falls a little more in love. Santana vaguely realizes she's attracted to Brittany many times as teens but then after they have sex for the first time, Santana goes into panic mode because she realizes she actually is in love with her and it's this intense, out of control thing that terrifies her because Santana has never felt so out of control about anything in her life.

What recurring dreams do Brittany and Santana have?

Santana dreams of falling and about public nakedness. She dreams about falling because she fears losing control and the public nakedness dreams are about her being afraid of her secrets being exposed publicly (she had more of the nakedness dreams when she was younger). Sometimes she’d also dream about forgetting to do an assignment at school and this symbolizes her fear of failure in general.

Brittany has much happier dreams. She dreams about flying a lot because she just wants to be free. She dreams of flying over Lima or over the ocean. She has a lot of unicorns, cats and rainbows in her dreams. She also dreams a lot about her first baby before he’s born, so she kind of predicts what he’s going to be like/look like.

7 - What annoys them the most about their partner? Would they change it if they could?

Ooh juicy. They’re overall each other’s biggest champions and have always believed in each other, often standing alone in that. But I do think Brittany can get too carried away and fly too high in the clouds and Santana puts her foot down when she needs to, e.g. the wedding superstitions. Despite how much Santana loves Brittany, I think she sometimes wishes Britt was more practical and realistic about things. I don’t think she’d change this as such but maybe tone it down.

Similarly, Brittany has called Santana out when she was getting too mean before. Though it must be noted that I think Santana’s venom only bothers Britt when she sees it starting to destroy Santana from within, not when others fall victim. But it’d be such a cheesy answer if I said Brittany was most annoyed by Santana not loving herself enough lol. That is what season 2 is though, partially.

I don’t think Britt would want to change Santana’s spirit and maybe not even tone it down like I said the other way around. I don’t know, they only thing I see her minding is Santana not seeing her own awesomeness. But Britt would probably be annoyed by some smaller things, domestic stuff.

13 - What do they do for fun? Do they have a favorite activity or do they like to switch things up?

I swear I’ve been asked to think about this before but that’s mostly just a note to myself about not remembering shit I’ve said and generally being bad at headcanons like this. In the high school days, they would hang out at the mall and go driving, anywhere and everywhere. Once they get the chance to they mix it up all the time with just a few details remaining the same. Never a boring day with them.

16 - Do they keep secrets? Lie? Cheat?

Considering they broke up to prevent even the possibility of cheating on and therefore hurting each other, that last part is a hard no. I’m very firm on this, Brittana would sooner break their own heats and separate than cheat. The most I could ever see happening is a kiss, which is a form of cheating but they would be upfront about it. Even that is a stretch tbh. Brittana have cheated on other people and that’s not any less wrong but cheating on each other is unfathomable.

Secrets? Yes, maybe. More innocuous ones, white lies designed to spare the other’s feelings. And maybe even more severe ones that do inevitably lead to lies. But not regularly and not without consequences. After the mess of season 2 they take being honest seriously and they’re both naturally blunt people anyway.

29 - How do the handle disasters or emergencies? Minor injuries? Sickness?

I don’t want to think about serious sickness so if we’re talking a cold or the flu, they’d both be really good caretakers. As for minor injuries, they’ve been treating scrapes and such since the Cheerios days and are good at healing kisses and the like. If we’re keeping with Glee’s tone emergencies wold have whacky endings with them, but in a more serious world it really just depends.

37 - How much would they be willing to sacrifice for the other? Any lines they refuse to cross?

I don’t think they have lines when it comes to each other. Maybe in their own ways but they’d go to the ends of the earth. I don’t see a version where either of them wouldn’t be happy to give it all up if it meant staying together. I’m struggling to think of a line they wouldn’t cross lol. Murder’s easily on the table for these two let’s be honest.

38 - What are they like in the bedroom? Any kinks/fetishes/turn-ons? Anything they won’t do?

Juicy juicy. I feel like this could be its own thread lol and not just by me but, to cut it short, I will say that I don’t think they do threesomes nearly as often as people think they do, if ever. Not for the reason most of the fandom says they don’t, which is that Santana would be too jealous. I think she’d be fine, honestly. Emotional intimacy means more to her and she knows Britt only loves her. It’s just that they were objects for the male gaze for so long that I doubt, once settled, they’d wanna invite others in. Their thing is their thing. That’s not to say they’ve never entertained the thought of one of the Glee girls joining in.

In terms of what they do do, can I just say everything lol. Okay maybe not everything. But they’re pretty adventurous with high sex drives. Brittany canonically has a thing for arm pits and we’re just gonna leave that there. Santana’s a bottom? But that’s nothing new to anyone in the fandom.
