Simming goals 2020

Behind the cut: my simming goals for 2020

CC-creation stuff

1. Fixes: Make some minor changes and fixes to the Gustav set (aka: my problem child) and add slots and other fixes to the Dunmer Set. I might recategorize the Viking Seperates as well.

2. Add-ons: create add-ons for pottery (you knew this was coming), the Dunmer set, the BB Niche and possibly Frac’s Stone Super Set. Perhaps make some Jonesi add-ons to the Gustav set.

3. WIP’s: upload a bunch of creations that didn’t get released in December (believe it or not, there’s still a lot of stuff I haven’t released yet) and resume work on a few Morrowind-themed sets.

4. Bigger Projects: upload Pt 2. of Project Ave Maria and continue work on Project Old CC Redone. I was thinking about slaving the Gustavian set from dh-sims as it would match nicely with the Gustav set. They won’t be slaved to the KEP-chair though. Another thing that needs some aggressive re-cloning love is the tea counter from ATS2. It’s horrible and deserves to burn in a fire. It needs to be re-cloned from a working template as it doesn’t take on recolors.

5. Get started on Project Tamriel, which is gonna be pretty damn awesome when released (no spoilers). This is gonna take quite some time to get ready though.

6. Upload the entire BPS Archive to SFS. I’ve uploaded a couple of Creators to SFS already, but the majority still needs to be done.

7. Start creating worlds for the SIms 3 again (surprise, surprise, Fire_flower can also create for TS3!) and improve existing ones.

Computer stuff

1. Get a new Hard Drive and copy my C Drive to it. My 500GB hard drive is too small for the Sims 2, 3, modded Skyrim and some other stuff. It’s been hovering around the 14GB of free space for a while now and an extra 500GB of storage should solve any performance issues related to the lack of free disk space. It would also mean I can start yet another themed game (I was thinking about a modern semi-realistic one) and hoard more CC!

2. Organize my files more efficiently. I have sets all over my G drive in all sorts of weird locations and way too many folders in root. Instead of having seperate folders for each game in my Root Directory, it would be much more efficient to just have one “conversion workshop” for easy finding.

3. Get my fans checked out/replaced. My computer has been making unbelievably anxiety-inducing sounds for a while. At first I thought it was one of the hard drives, but now I’m thinking it might be the fans. I have dual housing fans and they’re nearly impossible to remove, let alone clean, so they’re main suspects.

Actual game stuff

1. Play my game at some point. This means fixing a messed up rotation thing (it involves a nunnery) and of course: loading screens.

2. Make my hood into an Elder Scrolls fusion. Historical accuracy and any kind of realism have already been thrown out of the window anyways

3. Install those cool mods Midge has been making, especially the supernatual ones (I love supernaturals) and start using the Trait Project.

4. Figure out how many subhoods it would take to replicate Ba Sing Se from ATLA, use that to determine how many hoods it would take to replicate the entire setting and actually start doing that. (or just start creating themed CC)

5. Try playing TS4 for real? I got the game at release but didn’t really get into it and un-installed it shortly after pools were added. Even now with Expansions, Game Packs and Stuff Packs, it still doesn’t manage to grab my interest for very long outside of CAS (the camera is a big part of it honestly. The camera controls are just horrible and I hate how I have to click on a thing to be able to zoom in (I use a pen tablet, hence why I can’t scroll with my mousewheel: I don’t have one).

Special note : this is the first time that I'm making this kind of video. I've planned to do more in the future so please, give me your opinion/advices if you'd want to see more similar videos. I think I'm just going to use it for Melodia but I'm thinking about adding more videos into DH3 as well. I recorded my sims voices but you can totally hear my computer roar also !

Some fun facts : The midsommar poster between Leïla and Hiro means something if you have seen the movie .... Also, when Leïla mentionnes Destiny, I recorded my own voice to make her say her name but it sounded ridiculous so I kept the "Buffy" version but kept my lyrics change in the subtitles so you can all understand. Also, both Hiro and Leïla are wearing similar clothes from the original video that you can see here :
