A beautiful manga for Ninja and Mononoke lovers (ノ*ФωФ)ノ
BLACK TORCH (Action/Ninja) 2017-2018 - 5 volumes
Tsuyoshi Takaki
Rating: 10/10
Do you dream of seeing a story mixing ninjas and Mononoke? In that case, Black Torch is the manga you are looking for! Taking up a very classic theme of shonen, namely the possession of the hero by a demon with whom he must cohabit, Black Torch is not boring. Having to cohabit with Rago, Jiro, a teenager living in the countryside with his grandfather, discovers the world of the Mononoke and the investigation office. His reckless and intrepid character allows him to adapt quickly to the difficulties he encounters. But always doing things his own way, sometimes despite orders. Turbulent and not very patient, Jiro's entourage will have to learn to deal with the young man's character to carry out the various missions. With a fast-paced and relatively dense plot, this manga gives us above all a very nice relationship between Jiro and Rago who, in the end, are quite similar. This complicity which will turn into a solid friendship will make you appreciate the sometimes brazen decisions of the main character. Using the canons of the genre without overexploiting them, Black Torch is an excellent shonen that delivers epic fights as well as well-worked characters.
Drawing underlines with finesse the speed of the action and the beauty of the landscapes, this manga is perfectly aimed at a young audience and even a little less. The reduced number of volumes allows us to enjoy the beautiful scenes it contains while not having to wait too long to know the outcome of the story! Enjoy...
