THE SIRENS🌊🎶🧜‍♀️

Backstory/Situation:

The Sirens were outcasts in the Coral Sea, regarded as bad omens and invasive creatures due to their ability to read the minds of both creatures and humans in order to lure them to their doom. So their time there was not very great to say the least. The three of them weren’t even close and yet they still ended up being friends. The Sirens more or so became a sisterhood finding comfort in each other’s presence.

How they got into NRC:

After stealing some food from a well known family runned Coral Sea restaurant, The Sirens made it to the surface to hide from the obviously angry owners. While trying to enjoy their soggy wet meals, a human ended up finding them. But not just any human, but a prince from The Aquatius Kingdom, Malachi Fotea.

At first, the trio were apprehensive of Malachi. After all this was their first time encountering a human and had no idea how to deal with them, so they ducked back into the sea. It took a little bit of corasing from the Prince to bring these scared creatures back but his calls ended up making them curious.

From sneaking out of his castle to tell them stories of cultures from different homelands he researched his kingdom’s secrets and even told the tale of two rival magic schools RSA & NRC. Which intrigued the girls most.

They already liked Malachi and considered him their first close human friend. So possibly enrolling in the same school he is, RSA, would not only be fun to hang out with, but would also allow them to turn over a new leaf in their lives by evolving their magic as a sort of middle finger to the merfolk that pushed them away.

So the Sirens decided to go to "Land Boot Camp" and study in order to improve their magic. Even working on their unique magic and entrancing vocals. The girls were finally accepted...to the school they didn't want, NRC, after their final day of boot camp and training. 

Unfortunately for The Sirens, NRC discovered their magical abilities before RSA could. After spotting a Black Horse Carriage approaching them at high speed, they all had to learn the hard way. Having to wave goodbye to Malachi promising to meet each other when the time comes.

All of this hard work, only to end up at the wrong school.

Her songs are able to put people into mass hysteria, making people see illusions and even cause others to attack people they’re allies with.

Mitzy’s UM is pretty much her unique song along with her other sisters. This melody requires loud belting in a hypnotic but strange tone of voice. The tone gradually shifts from soft and quiet to jagged and harsh melodies, as if harsh ocean waves are crashing into someone's ear while they listen to this.

Personality:

When it comes to Mitzy's Personality, she is highly extroverted & loves socializing with people she knows nothing about. They essentially like being friends with people who aren’t “boring”. Mitzy never had a fun or relaxing moment during their time in the Coral Sea. She wants some excitement in her life! So, if your whole demeanor is just bland…they’ll probably won’t be interested in talking to you.

Also she’ll absolutely claw you if you mess up her hair, nails and clothing she puts a lot of time into that. But besides all of that she’s pretty cheerful and loves running up to people she finds adorable or cool.

Mitzy would honestly just ramble about whatever goes inside her head to someone she just met, only for her to give you her number after.

And yes she will be expecting you to answer back.

Unique magic: Melancholic Lullaby

Grace’s song essentially forces everyone in her vicinity to uncontrollably cry their eyes out making their vision extremely cloudy and blurry.

This melody requires a soft and melodic tone, making the atmosphere around them shift into song full of sorrow and hopelessness. This song not only brings people to tears, but it also reminds them of past experiences that caused them to feel this way at the time. Making them relive a memory they wished to forget and suppress as their tears flow out from their eyes. Often at times tiring out the ones affected.

Personality: 

Grace is very introverted and at points tends to be completely silent. Ever since she first met the sirens, she’s always felt like she was in the way or too cowardly whenever they got into trouble with some apex predators. Grace thought that coming to the surface would give her a better chance at changing her weak-willed nature. 

From getting good grades, speaking up for herself, helping out whenever she can etc. This is what Grace strives to accomplish in order to reach her goal of becoming a natural born leader and an extraordinary alchemist due to her love of Alchemy & Potion making. And maybe getting some praise for her hard work along the way.

(Usually practices this whenever the Sirens are under the weather or just to use it in a therapeutic way to calm herself and her sisters down)

Coco’s song is able to heal others from wounds to poisoning in a matter of seconds.

Her melody is a more relaxing but vibrant tune that feels soothing to the soul. Making the person she’s healing warm inside as if the sun itself is beaming in their hearts. After the song ends, the person affected feels more energized and feels like a weight has been completely lifted off their shoulders.

Personality: 

Coco is a very loyal and patient person, even when she is frustrated. She always had that big sister energy that the sirens felt at ease with. Finding Mitzy and Grace was the best thing that could have happened to Coco.

For the longest time, she’s felt empty and hollow since she had no family or friends. If she had a problem, she had to solve it on her own. Injured? Swim it off, Hungry? Steal to save your skin, Sad & Stressed out? Suck it up, you don’t have time for unnecessary emotions. Which made matters worse for her.

Coco had not only calmed down after finding the other sirens, but she had also found a new purpose in her life. Her new sisters' personalities and quirks made her feel warm on the inside, finally realizing she now has a family of her own. Which made her protective of the girls.

Coco promised that she would make their time on the surface more exciting and relaxing. So if they ever had a problem, they would tell her everything and she would handle the rest.

It’s the least she can do for the people who changed her lonely life.

Mitzy:

Has a Bestie Journal where she writes about all of the friends she has gained throughout her years in NRC. Each page is full of glitter, stickers, ribbons, whatever else is in her room and of course a picture of the friend in question.

Mitzy dyed all of the Sirens’ hair when they first got to the surface. Of course she ended up needing help from Divus since the TwisTube tutorials weren’t working.

Is not afraid to go for the throat when someone talks shit behind their back. If you start it Mitzy will end it.

Grace:

While Grace doesn’t talk all that much around people in public, she’s super talkative around the Sirens’ and Divus. Especially if it’s on a good day for her! Like getting good grades on her exams, completing a list of chores she made for herself, having nice customers at the Monstro Lounge etc. Grace would talk for hours and the girls don’t mind one bit.

Grace wants to communicate with her fellow science club members Trey & Rook but is too shy to speak to them. Maybe one day she’ll gain confidence.

Absolutely loves cats but is extremely allergic to them and often sneezes 5 times in a row when around one.

Coco:

Loves picking up people shorter than her. If you’re lucky or unlucky enough she’ll show you off to her sisters. “Look at this little squirt I found on my way to the dorms.”

Coco’s room is filled up with smoked plants that’s used for stress relief. That’s why some students love coming by to her room whenever they’re in need of her.

THE AFFECTION MASTER! Coco gives out the best of  hugs whenever someone is in need of comfort. It’s nice, loving, and just tight enough to put anyone at ease. Coco often does this for her sisters too so she knows for a fact that it works. Oh, and I can’t forget the words of confirmation she whispers out to the lucky person in need of affection.

The Sisters:

They are under the watchful eye of Divus after Crowley assigned him to make sure their time in NRC is most comfortable. Especially, after an incident where Grace started to cry realizing that she didn’t go to the school of her dreams, RSA. He basically became the girls father figure and even helped them study for up and coming tests/exams. Divus basically adores them for their taste in fashion & quick learning abilities!

The Sisters even asked Divus to tailor their uniforms for NRC since the original uniforms were boring to them. (Mostly to Mitzy)

Instead of the regular “Duo Magic” the Sirens can team up to create Trio Magic called “The Sirens’ Shanty.”

Often sing songs on special events or weekends for that good Monstro profit!

The Sirens actually knew Orval when they were kids but didn’t interact all that much due to his severe social anxiety.

[Dynamic]: The youngest sibling who adores attention and the elder who continually gives it to them. They both boost each other's egos. Whether it's complimenting their style or simply feeling confident that day. I can picture these two chatting about someone they don't like at the same time. And they would do it...ACCURATELY. If someone gets on their nerves that day, they are spilling to each other immediately. Over text or call it does not matter.😭

Actually, Mitzy would probably run over to Ramshackle to go and gossip. Out of breath and everything saying “Bitch you would not believe what just happened.”

And start ranting that whole night with the prefect.

Unfortunately, Yuuta will also be subjected to Mitzy’s fashion and makeup styling. Poor thang…consider yourself yassified.

[Dynamic]: The eldest who checks up on the middle child whenever they look lonely or left out. To be honest, Yuuta would be the perfect person to help hone Grace’s potion making. I can see them doing experiment tests in an empty alchemy room to do some good practice. Grace would be flipping through an ingredient book holding a beaker with shaky meanwhile Yuuta is next to a fire extinguisher if anything happens.

Although Yuuta is supportive of Grace, the possibility of her experiment going wrong is very high. But hey they’re still cheering from the sidelines!

In conclusion, these two should have a friend picnic with a tarot themed tea set [or a bunny tea set if Leona gave her the idea. Probably saying that “Oh yeah they would love that.” With the most fakest smile in existence to trick Grace into buying it 💀]

[Dynamic]: The two eldest that bond over being older and are both chill as fuck. Since both Yuuta and Coco are into herbalism I can see them being medicine making buddies together. [My brain just had a cursed image of Coco and Yuuta cooking meth like Walter and Jessie…I’m so sorry.💀] Taking care of the people they love most by healing them. Their simple way of showing affection to others.

In a way, Coco would be very trusting of Yuuta. So much that she’ll just ask them to just keep an eye on her sisters to make sure they don’t end up in a heap load of trouble.

Mitzy🍬

Mitzy will often change up her hairstyles whenever she gets bored with her looks. She probably goes on TW version of Pinterest. Pin-Twst…kill me.

Divus will always be their #1 test dummy when it comes to makeup. They actually appreciate whenever Divus gives out some critiques. That’s why she’s gotten better over the years.

A complete hand holder. Mitzy holds hands with people she’s close with, whether that be her own sisters or her besties. Physical touch is basically her love language (platonic/romance wise).

They need someone to compliment them everyday. They do not care who it's from, they need their ego boosted! 

If Mitzy’s voice is completely monotone during class, don’t talk to her RUN. She’s having a rough day and will make it your problem if you annoy her. Azul had to learn the hard way.

If you ask her to dye your hair, she’ll drop everything just to show you her new dyeing skills.

Grace🍵

She would be kind of overwhelmed by Rook's excitable nature but be super invested in his stories. Trey would probably tell Grace that she shouldn’t believe everything Rook says but can’t help but instantly forget his warnings.

Has shaky hands most of the time when she’s tasked to do something. Often leading to broken dishes in the lounge and spilled flasks in alchemy class.

Grace is often the cause of several experiment accidents. As much as Divus scolds her he does realize that he has to be patient with her and helps her clean up the mess she made.

Will wake up Divus in the middle of the night to ask him about different potion she can practice on making.

Grace does not know her own strength and can accidentally crush something with her bare hands. Once point she made Coach Vargas crumple on the ground when he asked for a high-five. She was apologizing profusely and can’t look him in the eye ever again.

Grace studies and sleeps in her sister’s rooms. They make her feel safe so it’s nice to be around them. It makes her feel warm inside whenever they leave a blanket on her sleeping self along with a pillow underneath her head. These small amounts of kindness gives Grace enough courage to work on her studies and look forward to another day to try and better herself.

Coco🍁

Instead of resting bitch face Coco’s face is just “resting” literally that’s it. She also just talks like she has zero cares in the world. Coco is literally just vibing. Not to mention she talk like she’s high on life yet, has never smoked once. <—Blaze envy’s her lol

Often evenly matched with Floyd whenever they fight each other. Homegirl just throws him over her shoulder afterwards.

Falls asleep in class often but still retains information about the professors’ lectures. Divus knows this and just lets her rest, he’s not worried one bit.

Often has to patch up Mitzy and Grace during P.E. since they’re not really athletic.

Is surprisingly on friendly terms with Jade. She doesn’t really find him scary as most students make him seem. Coco just thinks he’s silly and tells Jade THE MOST GOD AWFUL PUN IMAGINABLE just to see him laugh like a moron.

Yes! I just love the concept of Sirens in general!

There’s so much interesting information about them! Personally I had no idea that Sirens were part of Greek Mythology as well. I just thought that it only belonged to mostly Pirate Folklore and Maritime Myths. But eventually, I was proven wrong with a simple google search lol. 

Apparently Greek Mythology Sirens are half human and half bird compared to our classic half human and half…deadly voice mer-creature.😭

Which is actually giving me some ideas for the girl’s merforms! Maybe I’ll give them wings attached to their bodies. Not the feathery kind no…maybe just a webbed version possibly.

Maybe when girls shoot out of the water, the momentum will give them enough air to glide? Eh, who knows. I just wanna see my ladies soar.☺️

Ok these two interacting would be so interesting! I can see them meeting each other for the first time throwing compliments and the usual where do you buy your clothes kind of talk. But once the formalities get out of the way, Aimée would ask Mitzy “So…is there anyone you’re interested in at school? Just a silly little question! No pressure!” In the most giddy way to try and fool her.

Mitzy would entertain her question by saying “Well there is one person that’s caught my eye.” Aimée would be making such a huge list of potential crushes in her head. “Really!? Who is it? Is it that cute ginger guy with the Diamond on his cheek? Or are you into that pretty supermodel in Pomefiore-“

Only for her to be interrupted by Mitzy saying “Mmm Nope! Not my type!” They would go through this back and forth so many times until Aimée gets so tired and frustrated that she just throws her hands in the air saying “I can’t take this anymore! We’ve pretty much gone through everyone in the whole entire school! Please just tell me straight who you like!”

Mitzy, amused by her little breakdown, would say back “I guess there’s no use hiding it anymore. The person that I have a crush on…”

Ahh I love thinking about interactions!!!!: Yume reluctantly letting Mitzy do their make up. (insert do you feel Bonita? meme lol) Yume is also affectionate and would have no problem holding hands with them!

Yume and Grace just seem to have a lot in common so I fell like Yume would like being around them! They would go thrifting and look at mugs and tea sets. Yume is good at hyping friends up and would give Grace lots of positive reinforcement! THRIFTING FOR TEA SETS AND MUGS!?

Oh Grace would buy a star themed set for Yume if they were to go out to a Thrift Shop. Another person she’ll invite to her tea breaks. They all need to drink Butterfly Pea Flower Tea NOW! Grace would be in such a talkative mood with Yume and the girls.

Along with Yume’s positive reinforcement, Grace would just cherish him so much as a friend. Going so far as to, offer to hold his items and even try helping out with his homework only to blank out at the questions. She needs to brush up on some studies herself.(Trying her best to be useful)

Grace: It’s the least I can do for you. After all, I still need to repay you for helping me clean out that Cauldron. [So much sludge…]

But overall, she’s happy to make a friend that can deal with her as a person.

I’m pretty sure if Yume were to ask Coco to use her unique magic on them, she wouldn’t bat an eye once. Because along with her UM’s healing properties it does have a calming after effect that makes the person more energized. Which Yume most definitely needs, especially after what I read. Freya & Mitzy:

Mitzy is turning her head slowly as soon as Freya mentions the words “fashion designer.” She already had her sights on her after seeing her for the first time in the hallway. Freya’s style and accessories caught her eye the first time they met each other. How could she not want to interact with them.

Of course, Mitzy does like them for their personality, but she has priorities.

I can see Freya being the listener type when it comes to having conversations with other students. So I hope she won’t mind Mitzy rambling about the most batshit questions that pops into their head.

When it comes to these two, I feel like Grace would often ask Freya for help whenever it comes to potions and spell casting. Since she’s mostly accident prone, it would be nice to have someone experienced by her side even though she might be a little embarrassed to ask at first. Due to her being stubborn to not ask others for help. 

Assuming Freya wouldn’t mind Grace asking for help, I can see them growing on each other.

I can also see Grace trying to look like a smart looking leader in front of Freya to distract her from the fact that she’s a complete girloser. Which Freya can see through obviously.

Grace: I’ve connected the two dots

Freya: You haven’t connected anything

Grace: [On the brink of tears] I have connected them.

Bida and Kei being silly perhaps bc we did briefly talk abt them b4, with Kei trying to catch Bida in their stealing acts and them managing to slip away at the last minute BHAHDA the fact that theyre dormmates makes it funnier..OR MAYBE CRISIANT WITH THE SIRENS..ur pick 😭 congrats again !!!!

Knew I had to draw these four on lunch break. The sirens do not know the concept of personal space and will stay very close to people they consider friends. (You can only imagine what Malachi went through handling them) So apologies to Crisiant they’ll have to deal with this every time they’re on break.
