Hi

I feel like Monoma was the mouth piece for people who actually raised logical and important questions pertaining to the class 1A and other stuff. Notice how he's quickly shunned, ridiculed. mocked at and used as a gag every time he is onscreen. It's like Hori is more than AWARE of what he's doing so he's using one of his characters to represent people like us to insult and shut us up and tell us to think like the rest, that including his cast of characters and the majority of this god forsaken fandom. When it comes to Hori, I cant separate the art from the artist at this point. What do you feel?

To be honest, I don't think Hori meant for that to happen- at least not at first. The Monoma that was introduced in the Sports Festival arc is a bit difference from the Monoma in more recent arcs.

I think Hori genuinely liked Monoma at first, and wanted to set him up as a minor character that would challenge bkg (it was never about Izuku, was it?) and showcase his growth.

But Monoma received so much hate from fans because he spoke against class A that Hori chickened out and turned him into a gag lmao

I do think Hori (kind of) likes Monoma since he gave him a (kind of) major moment in the war, as well as showed him comforting Eri. Even so, it's clear that he doesn't care about Monoma enough- the asspull after asspull Shiggy & Gang™ keep performing have turned Monoma's efforts effectively useless and everyone's forgotten about him, again :')

I do think you're right, though. Although Hori didn't intend for it to happen, he quickly turned Monoma into a manic mouthpiece for the people that have valid, rational criticisms against some of the things in his story. And you're right, the way he's treated and immediately shut down, even by his own friends, despite being right... if I were Hori, it'd feel pretty damn cathartic lmaoo. Hori comes off as so insanely petty sometimes sighh

Also, the fact that Monoma's not present in any of panels in which Class A and Class B hang out? Hori knows what he wrote Monoma as and that's the reason he can't let Monoma see Class A as just people. Monoma's an empathetic person- he understands people well and cares very deeply for his loved ones. Imagine if he saw Class A as just themselves! Not caricatures he angrily imagines in his head or the way they're painted in the news. He'd feel awful lmfao, and he'd end up liking most of class A. Even so, he'd still hate bkg, and Hori isn't going to let Monoma single bkg out.

It still doesn't mean Monoma's just a mouthpiece though- he's still his own character, he just also serves as a convenient prop sometimes.

Also, kind of irrelevant but can you like imagine Monoma's reaction if he heard of how Class A treated Izuku when he tried to run away from them in his Vigilante arc? Izuku's motivations, while self sacrificing, were noble. The way he was?? Aggressively smacked down and restrained?? I don't recall exactly what happened because there was no Monoma in those panels but I can remember my rage when I read that 😭

As for bkg's "apology..." I'm not even going there pfft

☔ Is there a fic concept you have that you'd like to just explain and share because you're not sure you'll ever write it? If so, what is it?

So I keep fleshing out my fantasy AU idea, where Arthur is a lord, Parker is his loyal knight, and John is a cursed sword. And I just so desperately want to write about Parker and Arthur before the plot really gets started, them struggling with duty vs their attraction to each other, and what that all means for them. Parker being so loyal that he would throw his life away to save Arthur, but can't stand to be alone with him because he's scared he'll do something he can't take back. Arthur has a duty to his kingdom and he all but abandoned it for years. He is only able to serve his people because Parker helped him get out of his deep depression, and now that duty says they can never be more than knight and lord.

Everyone very much does just call him mulligan (or captain), he only uses James in very formal contexts (aka military and corporate) and the only person who called him that regularly was his mom (who is dead). He's kind of detached from it?

There was exactly one occasion where Jack was having a Very Serious conversation with him and called him James and everyone was just like ???. It was a weird vibe and everyone agreed not to do it again lmao

q!Bad lore, the whole soul dying arc, ough cinema. I can’t get enough of the supernatural paranormal & mythology inspiration of it all. I’ve also enjoyed q!Tubbo lore he’s got creative ideas and I’m excited to see where they go

both of them have this style of storytelling where they drop hints over time that slowly build and explode in a big payoff which I really like! q!Bagi recovering her memories arc was a lot of fun too :]

Jaiden doesn't stream that much sadly (which is fine I'm not faulting her for that) but Cellbit & Roier are so fun to watch even if I can barely understand them a lot of the time! entertainment transcends the language barrier LOL)

💥🪤✏️ - for Sev!!

💥 COLLISON - what emotions do they have trouble dealing with?

Loneliness. Sev's time in the Sabbat really royally fucked up how he handles being close to people. He went from nearly a decade of being in a group that shared almost everything with eachother to having nothing and no one he could even remotely trust- quite literally overnight. Camarilla life is disgustingly isolating compared to the Sabbat, and it doesn't help that Sev can't even really fill that gap with normal human connections due to their low Humanity and paranoia about hunters. Consequently, they've made themself a little gang of ghouls to use for their maladaptive coping mechanisms. He has a tendency to oscillate wildly between total self-isolation and being constantly in need of attention pretty much on the turn of a dime. This pattern not only hurts him as it makes it harder for him to be Just Normal about people, but is also a major toll on his ghouls- having your domitor swing back and forth between refusing to speak with you and insisting you share a bed, with seemingly no rhyme or reason to it, is extremely distressing to the supernaturally heightened feelings a ghoul has towards the kindred who keeps them.

🪤 MOUSE TRAP - what will always lure them into certain danger? a loved one in danger? a promise of something they are always searching for?

Sev is a little self-contradictory when it comes to dealing with danger because he is simultaneously deeply motivated by an over-active sense of self-preservation while also being extremely overconfident in his own ability to deal with potentially life-threatening situations. So, while you could probably exploit his hubris to lead him into something that seems much less dangerous than it is, getting him to willingly walk into something that is Obviously And Certainly Perilous is a lot harder because he's basically never going to think the risk is worth the reward. However, while Sev hasn't quite undergone enough character development to be considered loyal- he is rather possessive. Offering him something he wants but doesn't have wouldn't get him to bite, but threatening something he already has? That might get you somewhere.

That was one of the lyrics that really stuck out to me when I was making Sev's playlist, and was the core spark behind my decision to make them a Survivor. Sev doesn't want to waste this chance like they wasted their last one.

I reread the Skip and Loafer manga within a couple of months of reading them for the first time 💀 in my defence, it’s this really cute manga about a 15 year old who moves from the countryside to Tokyo to continue her schooling and it’s so gentle and breezy that I had to lol
