Uncle Rico and Uncle Rico

My husband enjoys American football. Via osmosis I know of some of the players, mostly the big stars.

Recently I learned that quarterback Gardner Minshew has been called Uncle Rico from Napoleon Dynamite for a while now. He's got the mustache, the van, etc.

A few years ago ESPN made this short with the Ricos. It's hilarious.

I finished Scrooge's make-over.

Here he is

Here is part of the process:

As I mentioned in another post, I got him on a flea market for like 10 Mexican pesos. He was pretty, but I noticed his colors were fading, and in some areas, he had lost it completely.

So, I painted him.

(Soulless Scrooge lol)

He was almost ready when I decided it would be a good idea to give him his leg back

And here is the final version again

I used acrylic and watercolors for the colors I didn't have in acrylic)

I enjoyed this project a lot. I had missed doing something art related with Scrooge as the subject.
