Oh bet!! The minute I saw that one I actually thought of Severen and the Hooker Clan! I'm actually gonna combine yours with someone else that requested 8.

Idgaf about canon; let's speed this up closer to today and if Caleb stayed with them and his Dad never found him. That ending ~doesn't exist~ to me. And as always, Sev's into us cause I said so.

Going to a Lake with the Hooker Clan

You were still new to this entire vampire thing. They didn't call themselves that but that's what it was. At least, from what you grew up reading and watching.

You found comfort in your Sire that turned you; Severen. But you still felt out of place among these people that have been alive together longer than even your parents were alive. Maybe even grandparents or great grandparents in Severen and Jesse's case.

You followed them down the dark road, still a bit shaken up from the small town bar you all just burned down. Yes, you drank someones blood but it was still a very bizarre thing. It didn't help that they weren't the softest or warmest people to get used to. Honestly...You were starting to miss home. Whatever home might have been.

You looked confused when they took you to the edge of a dark, secluded lake.

DB and Jesse gave each other smiles before she underbuttoned her pants and took off her boots. Jesse shrugged off his coat and slipped his boats off as well.

You saw Severen shrugging off his spurred boots as he grinned at you.

"Welp, yall stop yer grinnin and drop yer linen."

"Shut up, Severen." Homer grumbled, struggling to get his shoes off. "I ain't running to get soaked and I ain't stripping down neither."

Severen grinned. "What's the matter? Afraid someones gonna see yer pecker? Shit, I'm hopin' someone sees mine-" He winked at you as you hid your face and ducked your head.

Jesse sighed heavily. "Severen, I've seen your bare ass one times too many over the years. I don't feel like seein' it tonight. No skinny dippin'."

Homer snorted. "Let him do it, Jesse! Maybe we'll get lucky and a snappin' turtle while come by."

Severen huffed with cocky smirk and adjusted his jeans as he took off his belt. "Well, at least the snappin turtle will have a hell of a meal."

Caleb smirked as he tossed his hat next to Mae's jeans on the ground. "Blowin all that hot air's gonna make ya dead last, Severen."

Severen snorted at him with his brows raised. "That a challenge, boy?"

You watched Caleb and Mae race to the water as Homer stumbled to get there from the ground. Severen ran the fastest, only stripping off his boots, belt and jacket as him and Caleb hauled ass to the water.

DB and Jesse leaned on each other and walked... You just watched as you made your way to the dock.

Severen hollared as he cannonballed in making a giant splash, beating Caleb and Mae who jumped in after him. You sat at the edge, taking off your shoes as Severen came up from under the water. Letting out a howl and shaking his dark hair out of his face.

You dipped your feet in as Jesse stood beside you and bent down to scrub the blood and dirt from his arms and face while DB dived in.

"Ya ain't gettin in?" Jesse asked.

You flinched, he didn't talk to you often in the few short weeks you've been there. You swallowed and shook your head. "I'm not sure. What about you?"

"Nah. I'll just wash off. You got yourself a bit dirtier than I did."

You cringed at that, remembering sinking your teeth into the mans throat at the bar and blood spilling everywhere as Severen proudly watched. You looked down, your clothes completely soaked in drying blood...You wondered when you'd stop caring as much.

DB swam up and rested her forearms on the dock to look at you. "...I'd get in if I were you. Yer covered in grime and we're headin' outta town soon. Might not get to a store, motel or laundromat in a while."

You stared out at the cool water. You all were farther south than usual, the usually muddy water a cloudy blue even in lakes. You nodded to her. "I will in a lil bit."

Truth was, you felt awkward and out of place. They all had inside jokes and talked to each other and teased one another. The second you talked you felt ignored or all eyes on you. They were intimidating people and if it wasn't for Severen being so talkative; you doubted you'd even want to stay.

You zoned out a bit as DB and Jesse talked at the otherside of the dock while you looked into the dark water. You jumped with a loud gasp when something grabbed your foot just to see it was Severen who came up from the water. The caked on blood gone from his face and his dark hair wet and slicked back as he leaned on the dock to look at you with a playful grin.

"God, you scared me to death!" You scolded, jerking your leg up and glaring at him.

He snorted with laughter. "A lil too late for that... Why ain't you in here yet? Can't swim or what? Ain't like yer gonna die if ya can't. We'll just have to go to the bottom and drag you back up."

You smiled slightly while looking down. "I can."

"Then what's stoppin' you?"

You sighed. "I don't know."

He raised a brow at how quiet you were. "Is this about earlier? I told Homer to stop being such a lil dickhead-"

"No, it's not that." You shrugged. "I guess I'm just still trying to get used to all this. It's weird. I feel out of place....Being turned...Not being human anymore...Trying to get used to being with all of you. I just don't know what to do with myself when you're all doing your thing and I'm just standing in the corner so to speak."

He eyed you, a serious expression on his face before you saw a smirk pull at his lips before he called over to Caleb.

"Hey, Farmboy! YN here just said that we can take you and Mae in a game of chicken!"

You gasped and splashed him with your foot. "I never said that!-"

Caleb smirked, swimming with Mae practically in his lap. "Oh yeah? You're on, YN!"

Homer sat in the shallow end a little ways away while DB and Jesse sat on the deck near you.

You shook your head. And Severen smiled at you.

Mae called out to you. "Come on, YN! Unless your afraid of losing."

Jesse and Diamondback laughed as Homer called out to you with a grin on his face. "We don't allow quiters here! Get in that damn water!"

Severen scoffed. "Hear that? Ya can't back down now!"

You rolled your eyes with a smirk as DB nudged you with her own smile. "Go on. Caleb needs knocked down a few notches."

Jesse looked at her. "As if Severen don't. "

Severen let out an excited laugh as he pulled at your leg a bit. "Come on, honey! The waters juussttt fine."

They started chanting your name. Severen had a mischievous grin as he jerked you down in. You yelped as the cold water hit your cool skin, not as shocking as it was when you were alive.

You felt his hands on your waist as you came back up, bobbing as he smirked at you. You splashed him in the face with a laugh. "Forget snapping turtles or catfish; You are definitely the worst thing in these waters."

"Worse bite too." He gave you a toothy grin and dragged you over to where everyone else was. It was more shallow there as your feet barely touched the bottom. Severen could fully stand, the water up to his chest. Without any warning, he dived down and you yelped when he got under you. Your thighs on eitherside of his head as he gripped your legs and came back up. Lifting you high in the air as you held on.

"I need yer thighs on my shoulders more often."

"Severen!" You scolded as he just released a dark, maniacal giggle. His rings still on as his fingers laced around your calves to brace you. His muscular broad shoulders, defined arms and rough hands gripping you definitely wasn't the worst thing in the world but you weren't admitting that.

You watched Mae get onto Calebs shoulders. She grinned over at you and offered her hands. "Ready to lose, YN?"

"Yer gonna eat yer words, Goldilocks." Severen gave as Caleb huffed.

"Nah, you both are drinking lake water."

You heard Homer and DB laughing and making bets as Jesse watched with an amused shake of his head.

You hesitantly took her hands in your grasp as Severen was mocking Caleb. You and Mae grappled, you felt yourself loosen up for the first time since joining this group as you and Mae fought it out with contagious laughter. If one of you were human; they would have broken arms from the sheer strength you both possessed now.

Severen jerked backwards with you having a hold of Mae as Caleb tried correcting himself. He let out a string of curses as he slipped, falling in the water with Mae tumbling after him.

Severen released a mocking hollar as you heard Homer laughing loudly from the dock. Mae and Caleb came back up, Mae with a smirk and Caleb spitting out water.

"How's that water taste?" Severen jeered as you couldn't help laughing at the look on Caleb's face.

"Yall fucking cheated!" Caleb accused.

You shook your head. "Nope, that's just skill."

"Hell yeah it is. You tell em, baby!" He looked at Jesse with a crazed grin. "You ready to get wet, Jess?"

Jesse shook his head with a knowing smirk. "Only if you're not in the water, Severen. Don't we have enough water snakes 'round here?"

Severen had a devious smirk on his lips as he dunked you backwards into the water to get off his shoulders.

Caleb and Mae nudged each other and swam off while Jesse and DB and Homer talked on the dock leaving you and Severen in the water together.

"What did Jesse mean by that?...Wait...Did we really cheat?"

He raised his brows at you. "What? It ain't my fault I walked backwards after feeling a slick spot on some rocks and Caleb's clumsy ass walked right into it."

You gasped with smile. "Severen! "

"Hey, was it cheating? Or using our environment to our advantage?" You giggled as he pulled you closer. "It was fun though, right?"

"Yeah, it was."

"So...You feel a bit more welcomed?"

You dropped your smile as he wrapped both arms around your hips and dragged you closer to him.

"Sorry we don't have as much southern hospitality as we used to. Lost it along the way somewhere."

You smiled. "It's okay. Maybe I just miss my old life a bit."

He frowned at that. "We're yer new life now...Don't you get that?"

You nodded. "I know but you know that blood is thicker than water... It's hard to get used to."

He shook his head with an amused huff. "I don't know where along the line folks fucked that saying up so badly but that ain't how it goes."

"Really?"

"Nah. See, the original saying was: The blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb'."

He gave you a soft smile as he pressed your body tight to his chest, both of you bobbed in the water. "It means we're family. Blood ain't never gonna love you the way people that chose to have you in thier lives do. It's mushy but it's true...We chose you, YN... What? Ya think I made the decision alone? Shoot; Jesse, Diamondback, Homer, Mae, Caleb. We all chose to welcome you into our lil misfit menagerie we got going here."

You tilted your head. "Huh...What's it mean to you exactly?"

You stared down at him as he held you up, arms wrapped around his broad shoulders as you heard what he was telling you.

"....Really?"

"Fuck yeah we did. I know some of us aren't exactly rays of sunshine smilin' and huggin' you when you arrived...But they like you, YN. Even if they didn't, I like you...Hell, I like you a lot."

You smiled and placed a hand on his cheek. "I like you too, Severen."

He practically purred at that, pulling you close to whisper to you. "For once and the only time in yer life I want you to close yer mouth, darlin'."

"Why?...We don't need to breath?"

"You want to taste lake water?"

You stared at him in interest but did what he told you as he swam out a bit farther to the deep end with you still in his grasp before he dropped you both down. Jerking down hard enough with his inhuman strength to have you both completely submerged.

You felt one hand firmly on your shoulder and the other wrapped tightly around your waist as he kissed you. Both your lips touchng under the cold dark water. It unnerved you at first being submerged under in the dark. Human you would have flipped out...But not needing to breath, the cold water not biting at your skin like it used to and him pulling you close to his body made you relax completely.

You got to feel his back muscles, usually covered by his jacket. His hand roamed to your outer thigh, hoisting you closer as he moved his mouth against yours.

For a little bit, everything faded as you both slowly floated up.

You reached the surface and he refused to take his lips away. You couldn't help it either as your arms wrapped around his upper back and he laced your legs around his waist. Both of you kissing more passionately than you had since you were turned.

"Hey! Suns comin' up in an hour so if yall don't want to be floating sawdust; we gotta get goin!" Jesse called out from the dock.

"Yeah stop sucking face! I'd like to dry off before sunlight comes!" Homer yelled.

Severen kept kissing you and flipped him off. You giggled against him, finally parting as his blue eyes opened to gaze at you. He shook his head with a light groan. "God damn, what I wouldn't do if we had more time."

You bit your lip to hide the flustered smile pulling at your mouth. "Maybe some other time....Soon." You teased as your fingers played with the snake patterned beads around his neck. He smirked with a growl and adjusted you in his grip. He couldn't help sneaking in one more kiss.

"Hey!" Diamondback called. "Come on, Lovebirds! If Mae and Caleb came in before you; that's saying something!"

You looked over to see them dressed and smiling at you both. Homer was rolling his eyes and Caleb and Mae were whispering to each other, most likely about you and Severen kissing in front of them for the first time.

You pulled away and couldn't help the smile on your face as he parted from you. You both made your way to the shoreline feeling at home for the first time among the group.
