Updates!

Life has thrown a hard curve ball these past two-three months but I think my life's stable enough to be doing art again... I think XD

Elo'him

The Hebrew wording on the tree is "Elo'him", meaning God. I had a concept idea of trees opening up to be books and thought of the Bible being rooted in history, with the lamb being the epicenter.

It's my best work with COPICs so far, with plenty of room to improve XD

Probably back before COVID for school... they get so messy XD The cover for Once in a long long while by Low Roar inspired this piece, along with the first song of the album Don't Be So Serious. I'm quite proud of this punk lad, never drew anything like him before.

Summer Haze

Watercolor edition

This is the exact same image as the india ink painting... but in watercolor. I had a lot of fun messing with the colors, finding what Daniel and Lea prefer (Lea is always in pinks while Daniel prefers muted blues and lavenders).

Daniel be a saucy rabbit here, trying to keep in rhythm with Lea but he's not used to playing with other people.

India Ink

Apologies for the delay in posting, there was a lot of stuff going on at my workplace that held me back from being on here for a while. I've never played with India Ink this way before so I'm pretty happy with how it turned out... mostly (sorry Daniel) XD

Lea's teaching Daniel the music of her culture, while Daniel tries to play along despite only playing percussions all of his life. Both are made up instruments, but I had the idea of a Chinese calligraphy painting in mind. The scroll is made up characters.

Raiden and Sunny

Very non-canon Raiden and Sunny from Metal Gear series XD

I had an idea of what would happen between MGS2 and MGS4 since it's said that Raiden saves Sunny from the Patriots. I tried to be close to his original design for MGS4... however I took liberties XD One is done with mechanical pencil (.5mm) while the other is a dip pen with india ink (which is all hatched in one night XD).

2022 Digital Art resolution

Last year I embarked on a journey to improve my art in the digital realm, which has happened I would say XD I didn't follow through exactly my goal (kinda got lazy), I still managed to make 12 digital art pieces in the end XD From left to right is January all the way to December.

March, April, and September aren't fully shown due to either a present for a friend or it's not finished so I'm taking a break on it XD This year I'm going to mostly show my work on here and not take shortcuts (ex: June and July were finished in June, just took a break and not pushed myself exactly).

Quiet moments

To top off the 2022 year, I combine my presh bios together to make this. The Drow-looking fellow is actually half Drow and half Featherna (homebrew DnD race that’s literally bird people) named Rykoll, a Snowy-owl hybrid who is angst warlock equivalent. And the bunny is Daniel from my own personal story. It’s something that I really wanted to draw since they are presh bois.

This might be one of the last few posts I place on here before moving new story art posts entirely to just my art blog. It was a cool concept to do, make an account that’s only story blog based. Maybe I’ll come back to this format again but for now it’s just “why do I have two art accounts when most of my art is story related art” XD

The blog itself will be up still, just on hiatus if anything. Thank you to all who liked or reblogged from here, I attempted hard to get this to gain traction but like all social media, it’s a gamble what will be found and not.

I haven't done a pen drawing in a long time... feels nice to go ham with weird wires, tubes and Yoji Shinkawa hair. Raiden is my favorite characters from Metal Gear series, I hope I did him justice.

So this is allll the way back in 2020 XD Way before Covid wrecked crap and everything XD I took a Sculpture class that was... something XD

I dug through my old pictures and found my "professional" photography of these sculptures. It was the most fun that I had with making sculptures, I loved doodling on the wall and doing line art with them XD All of it is with faux fox fur, which I still have funnily enough. Of course when COVID hit I had to strip them down, which was a pain in the butt.

Installation art is fun but also difficult.

This was done in my campus' drawing studio, and some of us had lil offices to do our senior projects. I have many fond memories of that place... *sheds tear*

Would I do this again? To put it simply, yes.

Do I recommend doing this? With permission, lots of space and with people who respect that said space, yes it's a lot of fun
