I have some angst for the chapter before the epilogue of Twig's story. Basically, Greyback will go to Azkaban after the battle of Hogwarts. Shockingly, Greyback is told that he has a visitor, and that its Twig.

And its here, when he's been inside a moldy, cold cell for a several years, stewing in everything and thinking his life over.. Greyback finally, finally sees Twig; not as the idealized daughter he wanted her to be, but as the person she had grown into.

She's no longer a child. She's grown up. An exhausted, no-longer-naive traumatized adult who's spirit had been beaten down, but never broke. She's still recognizable as the Twig he knew many years ago, but that part of her isn't the only, or the main part of her anymore.

Twig is tired. Greyback can see it in her face. The eyebags tell of many sleepless nights. The ring on her finger gives away that she's married now. Definitely to Luna, Greyback couldn't imagine her with anyone else.

He used to loathe the idea so much, but he's come to accept it that Twig has grown up. When Greyback finally mustered up the courage to look Twig in the eyes, he's expecting to see hatred and rage within them-but he doesn't. He sees pain. He sees that she almost feels pitiful for her father's sorry state. Its here that he understands that she's not here to see him for the sake of it, or because she's changed her mind on disowning him. She's here for herself and herself only.

It's such a shame his growth only came to him when he spent years in the dark of Azkaban, when he had already lost everything. If he had been a lot wiser years ago, maybe they wouldn't have met like this. If he had made a constant and consistent effort to better himself, he'd be a free man. Visiting Twig and her family, experiencing the family life he so coveted. Not being able to take Twig wand-shopping or seeing her off properly at Platform 9 3/4 many years earlier is only a minor pinprick of pain compared to now. He didn't get to see Twig graduate. Didn't get to see her grow into her young adult stage, missed every big event that happened; Twig getting a job at Hogwarts, her engagement, her wedding, the adoptions and raising those children with Luna.

He missed it all, and it was all his fault. The thing that hurts just as bad as all this realization is how she no longer addresses him as a father.

now let’s start with the breakdown.

First of all: Dorian, my man, my king, my powerful powerful love.

His ending was...... so freaking good. Was i sad he and manon didn’t rlly got together while foreshadowing a romance in the future? No, i was not!!!! Which..... is so strange to me but I don’t dislike Manon anymore, like at all. I think she truly repented (and suffered a lot) and she shows how she has actually changed and I thought it was v neat (the whole crochan plot was GOOD good, with her new family and everything 🤍✨ it was rlly nice to see her growing as a character). Do i want them together? No, that feels and sounds and tastes like the nastiest of the heartaches (only if she yielded her mortality like lorcan? Which... then i think it could be fine. AND BTW ELORCANNNNN PLS PLS 😭😭😭😭😭😭)

Also what was that about him saying he’d marry Yrene!!!! Dorian!!!!!! Keep it in your pants young man pls lol I laughed ngl (will i be looking for fanfics?? That’s a secret i’ll never tell)

Dorian is such a sweet summer sunshine of a boy. I love him so so so so SOOOOO much. He's such a great character, a true prince charming imo. He was soooo badass is KOA even when giving me 35 different heart attacks that dumbass.

I'm so glad you're feeling better about Manon hehe! I told you that you had to wait and seeeee. Her arc was amazing. I'm definitely sad it was open-ended but I'm holding out that Sarah might give us a little something something in the future. I would personally love to see how they would navigate a relationships as two leaders in two different places. They both respect each other as leaders a lot and understand what must be done which is something I love about their relationship. I'm holding out Sarah will give us SOMETHING. Their time in the tent was so sweet and as Becca likes to put it more of a see ya later than a goodbye haha. For me, I think they both needed it to be that way in the moment. They knew they likely wouldn't get another moment to be with each other like that.

Overall, I really love how they bring out different, stronger sides of each other. I love them!! And I love that you enjoyed it hehe!!

Gah, i need something to get rid of the bitterness that is Honey and Clover. The whole series is just painnnnnn.

Fuck Mayama. I understand the whole point of being friends after confessing and getting rejected, but still, fuck him.

He made Ayumi (the best girl) cried the whole series. Also, even though i know that Ayumi and Nomiya is happily married now, it still hurts whenever she cried as she was unable to move on and clinged on Mayama.

Also, the whole love triangle/square - if you count Shuu-chan - Ugh, my boy Takemoto!! Always clinging on Hagu who likes Morita!! He clearly can see it but also! Unable! To! Move! On! For a whole ass 4 years!!!!

And to think, Shuu-chan not getting anything out of his devotion to Hagu. Also Shuu-chan??? Oohh, I tried soooo hard to let go of the problematic stuff, mind you.

Morita is such a great character but i only learn a bit of his struggle since he is not there enough. His relationship with Kaoru is interesting. Kaoru himself is interesting. All this good stuff is towards the end.

I don't see Rika's appeal though. Maybe because I'm bias, but sorry. Glad you're able to be friends with Ayumi and Hagu, though.

"dive bombed" out of my tall bed while totally asleep; maybe to grab the remote i dropped under the frame ... extra tall base for lots of storage underneath .. landed on right hand, bending it completely back, and hit my face on the carpet insane pain BUT i do not believe anything is broken ... got ice pack, got muscle relaxers, got percoset, will sleep now and see if it's worth going to emergi enter after dawn plz pardon typos -- nothing feels broken, just massive bruising -- hurts hurts huuuuuuuuuuuurts plz pardom my whines, i woke up face down on the floor in painnnnnn i haaaaaaaaaate asking for help but crawled to housemates bedroom door at 5:55AM, HAD TO wake her up but she was nothing but gracious and helpful, and said if it still hurts after 8am, we're to emergi enter for xrays plz plz excuse typos and vague info, it huuuuuurrrrrrts and all i wanna do is go to sleep and hope it helps Listening to SCP reading on YouTube for distraction and maybe to fall off to sleep. thank you thank you thank you for tolerating whining, i know it can be annoying and can seriously piss someone off, but thank you for helping at 6am in a very minor emergency. TL:DR: hurt right wrist & arm falling out of tall bed; i am seriously adverse to asking for help, but I did, crawled down the hall to housemate's bedroom, and she wrapped up the wrist with ice packs and percoset. i haven't cried this much for a non-emergency things​ in years just keep me in your thoughts while i listen to SCP YouTube channels, and maybe i can find some friggin sleep.
