Welcome to Chajim Kohan, a time capsule restaurant in Krakow, Poland, and it’s better than a museum.
Tumblr media
It is set inside a row of four recreated historic shops where the walls that separated them have been torn down to make one large space. The old shop signs outside are original and restored from shops in the Jewish quarter.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It’s one of the smallest restaurants in the city, with 11 candlelit tables offering a dining experience from another century.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Full of old tchotchkes and antiques that reference Krakow’s complex but fascinating Jewish history.
Tumblr media
Some of the original decor of each shop has been saved..
Tumblr media
Traditional Jewish music is played, often live in the background, while generous traditional meals are served. The café is also known for serving the best coffee in town.
Tumblr media
After the devastation of WWII the area’s cultural heritage disappeared.
Tumblr media
Kazimierz is coming back but mainly as a popular bohemian district, however, Chajim Kohan is one of the few new establishments attempting to revive its old Jewish character and raise public interest in Jewish culture here once again.

Willowgreen performs traditional, contemporary and original music from Ireland, Newfoundland, Scotland, Canada, U.S.A. and the rest of the Celtic music world. Their signature vocal style combined with instrumentation including harp, hammered dulcimer, bodhrán, guitars, button accordion, whistles and mandolin appeals to audiences of all ages.
Jim Ofsthun bio: Jim is an original member of Willowgreen, and a talented vocalist and instrumentalist with international performances on Irish bodhrán, guitar, button accordion, and whistles. He is also a member of McInnis' Kitchen, and of Eira. He has family connections to the music through Ireland and Newfoundland, and is considered one of the top producers in Irish music in the Midwest.
4:37 - Willowgreen “Crocker’s Cove Reel” from Willowgreen
7:34 - POITIN
Poitín are an award-winning traditional Celtic band from Pilsen in the Czech Republic. They explore all forms of Celtic music but are firmly grounded in the pub session tradition and like nothing better than sitting round a table in the corner of a cosy pub playing old favourites about tarry sailors, merry maids and drunken nights. Poitín have performed at festivals across Europe in Italy, France, Poland, Denmark, Germany and the Czech Republic.
As the album says, it's 'one for the road', to go with you and keep you company in your car or on your bike, and this Celtic world music will take you from Ireland to Argentina, from England to Egypt, from Brittany to the Czech Republic and beyond.
15:44 - Poitin “Claudy Banks” from One For the Road
17:58 - AMELIA HOGAN - TAKING FLIGHT
Amelia Hogan is an impeccably authentic singer of Celtic music and her heart comes through in honeyed tones on Irish, Scottish, British, and American styled vocals. She sings in the Irish music tradition of Sean-Nós, or “old style” as well as accompanied. Amelia also plays bodhran and a small 22 string Welsh lap harp, and tours internationally to global acclaim.
Amelia Hogan sings both traditional and contemporary folk music with lilting graces and subtlety. She’ll weave a mysterious old magic that takes the listener out of time and place. She transports audiences with haunting melodies, holding them close, and stirs ancient spirits with an evocative storytelling presence.

As their notoriety has expanded worldwide, their music has been featured on podcasts and radio programs across the globe.
39:51 - Kinnfolk “The Hat Song” from The Knotted Circle
45:15 - BOSTON BLACKTHORNE - FISHING
Boston Blackthorne has been performing with the same core members for over 25 years. Their sound is a unique blend of traditional Celtic and Americana in a driving format - more rock than the Clancy Brothers, more folk than the Dropkick Murphys - while sharing some of the traditional repertoires of both.
They are proud of their deep songwriting bench - the original songs of Boston Blackthorne have won several national and international songwriting competitions including first place in the International Narrative Songwriting competition and honorable mention in the International Songwriting Competition.
The band’s sound is centered around powerful vocal harmonies and lead vocals shared by several of the members.  Between the 5 core members instrumentation includes fiddle, 4&5 string banjo, harmonica, 6&12 string guitars, mandolin, bouzouki, bass and drums
50:26 - Boston Blackthorne “Fishing over the Lusi” from Single

1:38:59 - CELTIC INVASION VACATIONS
1:39:32 - MARC GUNN
John Sharkey White II requested my version of “Peggy Gordon” in the last episode of the podcast. Obviously, I am the host of this podcast. But I’m gonna read my current bio on my website like I’ve done with others.
Marc Gunn is a Rhythm & Folk songwriter who fuses Irish and Scottish folk songs with pop culture. One brewery called it Sci F’Irish music. His musical weapon of choice is the autoharp. He breathes acoustic Rock and Roll into this folk instrument and adds a bellowing taste of rhythm & blues.
Gunn found musical inspiration performing Irish drinking songs. He learned the art of performing at Renaissance faires and from his childhood idol, Elvis Presley, who said, “You've got to put on a show to draw a crowd.” His concerts are fun filled with sing along songs that get the audience's feet tapping.
And now for my song…
I first heard the song “Peggy Gordon” from a cassette of Irish Drinking Songs I found at Half-Price Books in Austin, Texas. I learned most of my early Irish song repertoire from that album, songs like “Whiskey in the Jar”, “Big Strong Man, “Wild Rover”, “Bog Down in the Valley” and lots more.
Their version of “Peggy Gordon” was short, but memorable. I played it on and off for many years. I remember singing it at a pub in Switzerland when I met Heidi and Stef of the Celtic band Bow Triplets.
In July 2009, I met my future wife, Gwen, while touring in Virginia. We had this whirlwind romance and began talking on the phone every day and went to see each other as much as possible even while I was out on tour. I was completely mesmerized by her.
A few weeks later, I was back in Austin. I was scheduled to record my next studio album with Rich Brotherton. He’s an incredible engineer and had done some brilliant work for Ed Miller and lots of top-notch artists in Texas.
I was having trouble singing the song. I was pitchy and my voice lacked any real emotion. The lyrics have this great feeling of love and longing. Which is exactly the feeling I was having with Gwen so far away. And so… I closed my eyes, focused on Gwen, and sang.
To this day, I still tell people it is one of my best recordings. Because I feel like I nailed it. And then to top it off, Rich Brotherton added some absolutely beautiful guitar work, as he did throughout that album. It is definitely one of my warmest and lushest and best-produced albums.
1:42:07 - Marc Gunn “Peggy Gordon” from The Bridge
1:46:26 - ENDA REILLY
Enda Reilly is a folk singer, songwriter and guitarist from Dublin, Ireland. Firmly rooted in the Irish tradition with songs that strive for a better future, Enda Reilly’s work invites you to see the world from his varied and unique perspective through each new song and project. From busking on Grafton Street to the National Concert Hall, Enda has performed on countless stages in his hometown of Dublin and beyond.
1:50:46 - Enda Reilly “Christmas True” from Christmas Is With Us
1:54:07 - CLOSING
1:54:22 - THE CHIVALROUS CRICKETS – LORD OF MISRULE
The Crickets explore the roots, branches and crossroads of Celtic and English folk and American Old Time music. With equal attention to exhilarating performances and academic rigor, they bring to the stage boldly reimagined arrangements of standards and originals with traditional influence. With a particular focus on song repertoire, they're known for their rich vocal harmonies and fascinating textural blends incorporating over 15 instruments, both modern and ancient.
They're a family band comprising two sisters, two couples and childhood friends. Four of their members are full-time classical musicians as well.
2:02:23 - The Chivalrous Crickets “The Lord of Misrule” from A Chivalrous Christmas

Thankfully, our Patrons of the Podcast are just incredible. They donated money and bought CD and digital downloads in my store to help cover the loss. Thank you SO much for your generosity, as always.
Asa Swain wrote: "Dear Marc, Thank you for playing “Banjos we have heard on high” in the Nov 28 episode (of the Celtic Christmas Podcast). It made me smile in delight. I hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas season. Thanks for sharing beautiful Celtic music with us year round.
I’ve been listening to your show for about 15 years, I got a chance to chat with you at the online Boskone you attended in 2020. (On zoom) You talked about how wonderful traveling was. I haven’t travelled overseas since 2019 (because of COVID), but in December my wife and I are going to spend a week exploring Iceland. We’re very excited. (we’ll only have 4.5 hours of sunlight each day, but we hope to see the northern lights) . All the best."

Week 10 Reflections: My Personal City Rankings
"Wandering, Wondering, and Ranking: My Take on the Cities I've Ventured Through"
As I've woven through various cities, each has spun its own unique yarn. From the azure coasts of Split to the bustling markets of Marrakech, each place had its charm. Here's my take on them, complete with little anecdotes that stick out in my memory.
1. Split, Croatia
Favorite Memory: Sitting on the ancient steps of Diocletian's Palace, gelato in hand, watching a street performer juggle fire as the sun dipped below the Adriatic. We proceeded this by going on a boat tour taking us from island to island as we drank and partied on each. Split stole my heart with its seamless blend of the old and the new, a city where history lounges in the sun. I need to go back to Croatia ASAP, and if you’re in Europe, any one of Croatia’s cities is a must.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
2. Amsterdam, Netherlands
Standout Experience: If you’re studying abroad in the spring, King’s Day in Amsterdam is a must. Imagine Michigan gameday, but the ENTIRE CITY of Amsterdam is dressed in orange on the streets. They literally change laws for one day and when I say almost anything goes, almost anything goes. Aside from that, Amsterdam’s charm lay in its freedom and artistic heart, a city that cycles gracefully through life. Renting a bike through the city is also a must. The bike lanes make it easy, but still, traversing the tiny cobblestone streets is such a vibe.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
3. Vienna, Austria
Memorable Encounter: Attending a waltz class on a whim and stepping on far too many toes. Vienna was elegance personified, a city that prides itself on its imperial history and its vibrant present. The amount of insane villas I saw in the span of three days has to be studied. Vienna gets a reputation of not being a party city, but trust me, go to the Travel Shack and Prater Dome, and you’ll have a great time.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
4. Prague, Czech Republic
Do I have to say any more? The homiest city out of all the ones on this list and truly a breathtaking wonder of its own. You’ve seen plenty of my love for Prague in my other blogs so I’ll end it here, but trust me, study abroad here.
5. Marrakech, Morocco
Unforgettable Moment: Going on a 3 day desert tour in a big van with all my friends through all the small villages and into the Sahara was probably the most unique experience of studying abroad. If you are not doing any excursions outside of Marrakech, honestly the city gets a little boring. The most surreal experience: going into the desert at 1 am with everybody to the tallest dune we could make it in the dark. The only thing we could see of our campsite was a faint white light lit up in our tents. Could we have gotten lost in the middle of the Sahara desert with no way to get back, yes. Did we, however, no, and that’s all that matters.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
6. Paris, France
Cherished Memory: I went there with my parents and a highlight was watching a painter on Montmartre, who, after noticing my interest, gifted me a small sketch of the skyline for free. Paris, with all its romantic clichés, delivered an experience as rich as its history. I went for five days and even that wasn’t enough. There is soooooo much to see with all the museums and monuments. Definitely a place I have to go back to asap.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
7. Barcelona, Spain
Highlight: We celebrated Saint Patrick's Weekend here and played Pub Golf, moving from pub to pub with a unique drink at each. The good weather and beach vibes were amazing and seeing the La Sagrada Familia was breathtaking as well. Must go for anybody who wants a plethora of partying, mixed with good weather and vibes. I did hear from my friends who went to both that they did like Madrid more, however, so take that with a grain of salt.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
8. Krakow, Poland
Poignant Memory: Lighting a candle in the quiet of St. Mary’s Basilica, feeling the weight of history and the resilience of the human spirit. Krakow was a tapestry of poignant histories and vibrant contemporary life, being so close to Auschwitz while still being a city of the future. One downfall, however, is that even a weekend here feels like a lot. You can explore the entire city in just a few hours and are really reaching for things to do by the end of it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
9. Munich, Germany
Fun Times: Trying (and failing) to keep up with an elderly Bavarian couple on the dance floor during Springfest. Munich was a blend of hearty traditions and modern innovations, all shared over a good stein of beer. Go to either Springfest (if you’re studying abroad in the Winter semester) or Oktoberfest (if you’re studying abroad in the Fall semester). Being in a massive tent and drinking beer with thousands of people is insane, but just remember to bring cash. Munich as a city I can’t say much about, as the majority of our time was spent at the tents, but I will say this, it still felt underwhelming.
10. Budapest, Hungary
Night to Remember: All my friends visited this weekend, and going out in a group of 19 people was truly a highlight. Seeing Buda castle was really cool too, but I honestly did not like this city all that much. Clubs and bars were overrated and too crowded and the city just felt like an industrial city with no soul. One of the less enjoyed cities in my opinion, though, I know some people do disagree with me.
11. London, England
Quirky Tale: Rushing to catch the changing of the guard was a mistake to begin with. As I said in one of my earlier blogs, I want an hour of my life back. London was an eclectic mix of history, modernity, and a touch of royal chaos, but it felt too touristy and too similar to the US. I felt like I visited the little sister of New York City and all the monuments felt overrated as well. Our friend was there to show us all the fun spots, but without her information and tour guiding, not sure how much I would’ve liked the city.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
12. Plzen, Czech Republic
Simple Joy: Tasting the local Pilsner where it was born, and understanding why the city prides itself on its golden brews. While Plzen didn’t dazzle like Prague, it offered a quiet nod to the simpler pleasures of life. Also, we went as an entire program in school and getting to know each other better at the beginning stages of this trip was nice as well.
Wrapping Up
Ranking these cities has been like revisiting old friends, each memory a reminder of the times shared. As my time in Europe comes to an end, I’m sad to say that these are the end of my travels to new countries and will be in Prague as I only have one week left. From the peaceful to the chaotic, each city offered a piece of its soul, and I thank it for that. Here's to the streets walked, the friends made, and the memories cherished.
Merry travels,
Rachit Khandelwal

Places You Should See in Vilnius - Part 2 (2/6)
Tumblr media
Welcome to the part 2 of Vilnius recommendations <3
1.6. Three Crosses (Trys Kryžiai) and Bernardine Park & (Bernardinų Sodas & Parkas)
Tumblr media
After you visit the Museum of Applied Arts and Design you can keep walking and take a right turn or you can walk through Bernardine Park to reach the hill. Bernardine Park & Garden is just in between Gediminas Hill and the Bernardine Monastery. Right next to the park flows Vilnelė River. Three Crosses see the whole city! I like to visit the place at the sunset. The crosses are located in the Kalnų parkas.
1.7. Republic of Užupis ( Užupio Respublika)
Tumblr media
The Republic of Užupis is an independent region in the center of Vilnius. The republic is quite unique. Don’t miss this must-see item when visiting Vilnius. Užupis proclaimed their independence in 1998. They are recognized by Lithuania and many other countries from the UK to Azerbaijan. Check their history here. The region is home to many art and design centers and streets are covered with great artwork and murals. I recommend entering Uzupio from Bernardinų Tiltas and getting out from Paupio Tiltas and visit these places and getting lost through the streets:
Jonas Mekas Visual Arts Center,
Bridge of Užupis (there is a pub near it and if you are lucky enough to find a seat, make sure to have a few drinks there)
Angel of Užupis,
Constitution of the Republic of Užupis.
1.8. St. Anne’s Church & St. Francis of Assisi (Bernardine) Roman Catholic Church
Tumblr media
St. Anne’s Church (Vilniaus Šv. Onos bažnyčia ) and St. Francis of Assisi (Bernardine) Roman Catholic Church ( Vilniaus šv. Pranciškaus Asyžiečio (Bernardinų) parapija) are located near each other and you can easily reach them from the Cathedral Square or Bernardine Park and even it is close to the Uzupis. I highly recommend visiting inside the churches as they are greatly decorated. But keep in mind that, even on weekdays there are ceremonies in churches; so please be respectful.
Adam Bernard Mickiewicz is a national poet in Poland, Lithuania, and Belarus from Poland. Mickiewicz is not only a poet but also a dramatist, essayist, publicist, translator, and political activist. You can see his statue right next to the churches.
1.9. Pilies Street (Pilies Gatve)
Tumblr media
This street is one of the famous streets in Vilnius Old Town. It’s only 2 minutes walk away from the Vilnius Cathedral. When you enter the street you will see there local restaurants, great pubs, and souvenir stores. This street is perfect to dine and buy. You will understand what I mean when you see it.
On the street, coming from the Cathedral side, there is a little shop called Flea Market on the left side. Even though most recognize the shop quickly due to the colorful and crowded sill but some pass by as they are busy with other things. I believe the place needs special recognition on the list.
1.10. Gates of Dawn & The Church of St Theresa
Gates of Dawn (Aušros vartai) is a city gate that used to be a part of Vilnius’s defensive wall in the 16th century. The gate contains a famous Renaissance: The Blessed Virgin Mary. The painting is worshipped by Catholics, Russian Orthodox, and Greek Orthodox. Therefore the gate is known to be a prayer point among many.
If you walk down a bit towards the street you will find The Church of St Theresa (Vilniaus Šv. Teresės bažnyčia) dating back to the 16th century.
Tumblr media
1.11. Church of St. Johns & The Bell Tower – Vilnius University
Vilnius University is one of the best universities in Vilnius and is the oldest university in the Baltic states. The university is centrally located and has hidden gems in it.
Tumblr media
Church of St. Johns as short or the “Church of St. Johns, St. John the Baptist and St. John the Apostle and Evangelist” is located in the old town in Vilnius University’s garden. The church is simply beautiful. The Bell Tower of St. John’s Church nearby offers one of the best panoramic views you can get in the city. Definitely go up!
Vilnius University Library
Vilnius University Library or VU Library as most refers dates back to the 16th Century and actually 9 nine years older than the university itself. Also, it is the oldest academic library not only in Vilnius but in Lithuania. The original art on the walls and ceilings is very well preserved. It gave me Harry Potter vibes a bit probably because I have never seen such a library with such art.

Iona P&O Cruise Ship Interior Design
25 May 2021
Iona P&O Cruise Ship
Architects: Jestico + Whiles
British cruise ship operator, P&O Cruises, has launched the latest addition to its fleet, Iona, with interiors designed by hospitality experts, Jestico + Whiles.
Britain’s largest and most environmentally friendly ship, powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG) will accommodate up to 5,200 guests.
Iona was named in a spectacular ceremony broadcast to a virtual audience on Sunday May 16 and the ship’s maiden voyage will be on August 7, sailing the UK coast and up to her namesake island.
The award-winning interior design and architecture studio has designed most of the food and beverage spaces throughout the ship and the most spectacular space of all, the soaring triple-height Grand Atrium which captures unprecedented panoramic views across the ever-changing seascape, as far as the horizon.
The Grand Atrium is the heart of Iona, a lively focal point that encapsulates the spirit of the ship, with spectacular views and natural light. This special space is designed to ‘draw the outside in’ and, accordingly, Jestico + Whiles has made the sea the hero of the space, allowing guests to connect with the seascape around them. The Grand Atrium will be, according to the occasion and time of day, either playground or sanctuary.
It a key entertainment space, designed meticulously to effortlessly accommodate a wide variety of experiences, from musical performance to thrilling aerialists.
At other times it will attract guests throughout the day for convivial repose, offering from morning coffee as the sun rises and sundowners at dusk.
An elegant, gravity defying, arcing staircase of Italian marble with a filigree, bright silver serpentine balustrade serves as the centre piece to the space, evoking the glamour of the iconic cruise ships of the early 20th century. Designed as a sculpture, its swooping form leads guests on a journey through the decks offering ever changing views.
The unifying experience of the atrium is always the view to the sea that provides an enchanting, captivating backdrop to the activity within.
Jestico + Whiles’ Associate Director, Jennifer de Vere-Hopkins said: “Despite the challenge of such a large space, we have worked closely with P&O Cruises to create a unique Grand Atrium that is harmonious with the separate venues, making the space both open and intimate. The refocusing of the guest experiences on the sea is the heart of an entirely new brief. The sea becomes the focus of the triple-height space; the sinuous curves are shaped around it, framing and complementing the views to the outside.”
P&O Cruises senior vice president, Paul Ludlow said: “We’ve set out to make sure the sea is the star on Iona, and the design of the Grand Atrium tells you so much about how special she is going to be. Balancing intimate spaces with larger social areas, guests will be wowed by the three storey high glass walls and the ever-changing view they reveal. From the moment they step onto the staircase, I know guests will be swept away by the beautiful design.”
Jestico + Whiles has designed P&O Cruises first ever ‘gastro pub’ – The Keel and Cow – on Deck 8, with views over the Grand Atrium and the ocean. The Glass House on Deck 7 will include an impressive wine list and menu curated by award-winning wine expert Olly Smith, wines from around the world are served by the glass. Wine connoisseurs will be well taken care of with a new experience, Cellar Door at the Glass House will offer wine talks, tastings and wine-pairing dinners. Guests can relax with unbeatable views as they watch impromptu aerial and circus performances in the three-storey high space.
On Deck 6 at the Vistas Cafe Bar there is a unique offer from P&O Cruises Food Hero and master pâtissier Eric Lanlard. The nearby Emerald Bar will evoke the glamour of a 1920s cocktail bar.
Iona was constructed at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany. She holds 5,200 passengers and is the largest cruise ship for the British market.

Collagen is as well big for the skin to take in, w here as, in contrast, peptides are the perfect size for topical application. Once they have actually been taken in, the body can after that harness their protein-producing abilities. In 2019 Vapourtec created a collaboration towards peptide synthesis with Professor Peter Seeberger and his Group at Max Plank Institute, Berlin. This work has actually been published in the paper revealed quickly below. The side-chain of proline is covalently bound to the N of the amino team, so in polyproline, there will be much less liberty of rotation regarding the Cα-- N bond than with other amino acids.
Are SARMs bad for liver?
Life threatening reactions, including liver toxicity, have occurred in people taking products containing SARMs. SARMs also have the potential to increase the risk of heart attack and stroke, and the long-term effects on the body are unknown.
Whether you're battling with wrinkles, loss of firmness, discolouration, dehydration, dullness, and so forth, there specify peptides that can make a distinction for each one. Nonetheless, it truly takes a range of peptides to help combat multiple skin issues, there isn't one that does whatever. A fantastic trick when you've been shedding the candle at both ends, is to use Patchology FlashPatch Fixing Evening Eye Gels. These over night hydrogel mini sheet masks are unbelievably comfy and also deliver a powerful hit of collagen boosting peptides alongside hyaluronic acid as well as dark circle combating arnica for visible improvements come morning. In the quest for ideal skin, peptides are a force to be reckoned with.
How Do Sarms Function?
Peptides alone are mostly also little to elicit an immune feedback adequate to generate antibodies. As a result, the peptide of passion is conjugated to carrier healthy proteins containing lots of epitopes to promote T-helper cells, which induce the B-cell reaction that generates the antibodies.

These chemical structures separate peptides from tags as well as dyes and can be hydrophobic or hydrophilic to modify the natural hydropathy of the peptide to which it is conjugated. Spacers of various sizes are typically offered for variable ranges between peptides and the dye or tags. A common hydrophobic spacer is aminohexanoic acid, and a common hydrophilic spacer is poly glycol. Requirement peptide synthesis is performed using L-amino acids, yet a common option is to synthesize the peptide using D-isomers, which are the enantiomers, or mirror pictures, of chiral L-amino acids. While the chemical formula is identical, D-amino acids may modify the feature of the peptide. Methylation of histone proteins is a common approach of epigenetic regulation, as well as mono-, di- and also trimethylated lysine deposits can be added to peptides to mimic this post-translational adjustment. The thiol group on cysteine can also be methylated through an acetamidomethyl team to uniquely develop disulfide bridges.
Cardio Raises Your Recuperation Time.
Health and wellness Pubs with included CollagenThe benefits of collagen peptides for health and wellness and elegance has actually been confirmed and identified for many years. Scientific research studies have shown that 10 grams a day or perhaps much less have a positive impact on joint, bone and skin wellness. PoGoGUI uses transcript translations and also referral genetics comments along with peptide recognition files in four column tab separated format, mzid, mzIdentML, as well as mzTab formats to pass on to the specified PoGo executable. Added parameters to pick outputformats, make it possible for mapping with amino acid substitutions or combining result of numerous peptide identification documents can be picked with checkboxes and buttons. Extra information concerning specifications, PoGo input and also output layouts can be discovered on top of the 'Find out as well as Assistance' section.
We are additionally using expedited distribution times for Covid-19 associated tasks. Poland peptides best buy such as direct-peptides.com and distribution of peptide therapeutics represent considerable difficulties, the basic storage space of peptides can be bothersome. Hao Luo from Merck discussed the trouble of peptide fibrillation as well as methods for minimizing the dangers of fibrillation. It turns out that a super-fast high temperature and also high pH treatment using circulation chemistry can considerably delay the start of fibrillation with no considerable degradation of the peptide. Professor David Craik provided a fascinating discussion on cyclotides - cyclic peptides produced by a range of plants. These peptides, comprising three disulphide bonds that form a "knot", are both diverse as well as robust. Prof. Craik supplied a review of these peptides and their utility as a backbone for the shipment of healing peptide epitopes.
The peptides are capable of surviving the gastrointestinal system, making oral distribution of peptide medicines a genuine possibility, although currently the bioavailability of such orally-administered peptides is low. Food is the primary stimulation of glucagon-like peptide 1 launch, with boosted hormonal agent levels obvious after 10 mins of beginning to consume as well as continuing to be raised in the blood circulation for several hours afterwards. The hormone somatostatin keeps back the production of glucagon-like peptide 1. Glucagon-like peptide 1 belongs to a household of hormonal agents called the incretins, supposed because they improve the secretion of insulin. Glucagon-like peptide 1 is a product of a particle called pre-proglucagon, a polypeptide which is divided to generate many hormones, consisting of glucagon. Due to the fact that they originate from the exact same source, these hormonal agents share some similarities, so are called 'glucagon-like'.
Tiny pieces of healthy protein with the capability to tell our skin to repair and also invigorate itself, we reveal why you require to incorporate them right into your anti-ageing routine. While the benefits of copper peptide are confirmed, in researches it is rarely compared to other peptides or other components such as powerful anti-oxidants. With so many active ingredients verified to benefit skin, it is essential not to concentrate on a solitary component. Remarkably, there is likewise research study which shows that copper is possibly toxic. However, the study focuses primarily on the application of pure copper to the skin, and also not as a peptide. We are continuing to supply full support to our consumers as well as are ready to help with any type of Covid-19 research. We have actually already dealt with a variety of customers on this and are creating a complete variety of Sars-Cov-2 overlapping peptides in addition to certain ACE2 analogues.
For over two decades, various researchers have actually been investigating the favorable effects of collagen. In 2011, the McAlindon research group had the ability to show that the consummation of collagen hydrolysate with short-chain collagen peptides can not only hinder the degeneration of articular cartilage, but additionally boost its regeneration. A number of clinical research studies have shown the effectiveness of collagen hydrolysate with short-chain oligopeptides on skin regeneration, skin hydration and also skin elasticity. The deepness of creases might be considerably and also sustainably lowered. The skin complexion of the participants boosted noticeably and also lastingly. Taken routinely, it can sustain the health of joints and also bones as well as additionally accomplish a much faster regeneration of the tissue. Among other points, it promotes a naturally glowing and also moisturized skin.
How To Develop Muscle Mass Like Experts.
This web page highlights the vital elements of peptide synthesis, the most common methods of synthesis and filtration and also the strengths and limitations of the particular strategies. In behalf of the Harley Medical Group, expert dermatologist Dr. Justine Hextall informed me that peptides can have a lot of various applications. A combination of peptides which "trick" the skin right into creating even more collagen, helping to firm, plump and reduce the look of fine lines as well as creases. A collagen revitalizing copper peptide enveloped in a polymer system which dives via the layers of the skin to particularly target collagen-producing cells. Peptides may be in the spotlight for their amazing collagen-boosting powers, but actually, peptides are way greater than simply a one-trick pony.
As Ostarine has anabolic impacts, the dieter can cut calories without needing to stress over muscle or stamina loss.
Have you come across SARMS aka Selective Androgen Receptor Modulators?
With SARMS, skeletal muscle mass as well as strength in androgen-deficient individuals can be enhanced.
They're being called Steroids 2.0, an option with effective anabolic impacts, no steroids, or need for a post cycle therapy.
However, these supplements don't have the muscle mass development effects of authentic steroids and trigger major side effects that make them dangerous for human use.
To date Ostarine has been evaluated in eight medical tests including about 600 subjects consisting of 3 efficiency studies.
As a result, permitted ɸ worths will certainly be fairly restricted compared to other amino acids. The peptide bonds that connect amino acid deposits in a polypeptide are formed in a condensation response in between the acidic carboxyl group of one amino acid as well as the standard amino group of an additional amino acid. In the context of a peptide, the amide team (CO-- NH) is described as the peptide team. Truly punctual delivery and also really receptive to queries pertaining to the products. Really satisfied i was recommended to make use of MM Components compared to every other hydrolised collagen site ending up being utter rip offs.
Bicycles Can Be Used To Generate More Complicated Molecules.
Cell Signaling Innovation supplies off-the-shelf and also custom-synthesized stopping peptides that can be made use of to examine the uniqueness of antibody sensitivity in your assay. We likewise focus on synthesis of high-grade customized AQUA peptides, including difficult series as well as uncommon post-translational adjustments. When deposit X was an uncharged polar deposit, the polar zipper device resulted in a lot more rigid additional frameworks, which subsequently put together right into nanori bbons.
The reason for the extensive use of Peptides in skin care items is that, compared to collagen particles, Peptides are really tiny adequate to pass through the skin. Peptides are a gentle yet efficient choice for all skin types as well as ages. Skin treatment products which contain this component are a wonderful selection for sensitive skin, as Peptides can be much less irritating than some anti-ageing components even on fragile locations, like the skin around the eyes. While peptides are a natural component of skin, in their natural form they are really delicate, unsteady components. To secure and develop peptides that can really be soaked up right into skin, remain undamaged, and also as a result be able to positively impact skin, they are lab-engineered. When scientific research identified just how to do this, the possibilities and number of peptides available took off. Peptides are an absolutely fascinating group of ingredients that continuous research has shown can profit several age relevant skin issues.
Chemically synthesized peptides bring positively and also adversely charged amino and carboxy termini, specifically. Because these termini are not butted in vivo, they can be modified by N-terminal acetylation and C-terminal amidation, which remove the particular costs to imitate natural peptides and boost cell leaks in the structure. N-terminal asparagineshould be prevented, because the asparagine N-terminal shielding team can be difficult to get rid of throughout cleavage. Consequently, either eliminate or substitute the N-terminal amino acid. N-terminal glutamineis unpredictable, since it creates cyclic pyroglutamate under acidic conditions during shielding team bosom. This can be avoided by acetylating the N-terminal glutamine or by substituting glutamine with pre-formed pyroglutamic acid or a conservative amino acid.
Peptides much shorter than 5 residues are typically soluble in aqueous remedies, except if the entire sequence includes hydrophobic amino acids. as well as McGregor A. C. T-butyloxycarbonylamino acids and their use in peptide synthesis. Synthetic peptide coupling calls for the activation of the C-terminal carboxylic acid on the incoming amino acid using carbodiimides such as dicyclohexylcarbodiimide or diisopropylcarbodiimide. These safeguarding schemes also incorporate each of the actions of synthesis and also cleavage, as described in the table and in later sections of this page.
Cells found in the cellular lining of the little intestinal tract (called L-cells) are the major source of glucagon-like peptide 1, although it is additionally produced in smaller quantities by the pancreas and also the central nervous system. Glucagon-like peptide 1 encourages the release of insulin from the pancreatic, increases the quantity of cells in the pancreas that create insulin and keeps back glucagon release. Glucagon-like peptide 1 additionally boosts the sensation of volume during and between meals by acting upon hunger centres in the brain as well as by reducing the emptying of the stomach.

Peptide-protein conjugates are made use of to create antibodies that target the particular peptide.
Regretfully, the human skin is everyday affected by elements such as ultraviolet radiation, ecological contamination, hormones as well as nourishment. Thanks to a targeted intake of our collagen peptides, it is possible to successfully combat the effect of these exterior as well as interior elements on the skin.

Not just for skin aging, but additionally for tackling skin dullness, hyperpigmentation, anti-glycation, moisturising the skin as well as even more! We wanted to harness the wide series of different peptide powers in our new Peptide Family. The best enhancement to your CSA regimen, our full range of ingenious peptide combinations can aid to sustain various skin concerns. Once they are past your skin layer, Peptides send a signal to your skin to begin fixing itself by activating a boost in collagen production, leading to a healthier-looking complexion.
Many business that produce peptides, healthy proteins or antibodies will certainly function either as vendors to other organisations or in bespoke, or agreement production i.e . A beta sheet types as a result of hydrogen bonding interactions between peptide backbones of parallel or antiparallel beta strands, which as the name suggests are mostly straight. In contrast, the 'polar zipper' device refers to hydrogen bonding communications in between the amino acid side chains on adjacent beta hairs. Peptides are rather a fashionable skin care ingredient right now. Some elegance brands may put them in items where they're ineffective simply to have an extra marketing factor on the label.

Stoup Brewing Company inspires discussion with the release of Berliner Weiss & Equal Play, Equal Pay IPA
This week, the folks at Stoup Brewing Company are releasing something old school and something for the progressive-minded individuals. Starting with Berliner Weiss, the brewery from Seattle's Ballard neighborhood showcases their interpretation of this classic German-style sour wheat beer.
Conceived somewhere around the 16th century, during a period when most of Germany was loyally executing the Reinheitsgebot, a bunch of Northerners bordering Belgium and Poland, blazed a different trail with this German sour. Named after it's creator, Cord Broyhan, Broyhan was quite popular in Northern Germany before passing throughout Germany, each different based on the grain available. By the 19th century, the beer was received and sought after for its tartness and before long this style began to fade until only two loyal German brewers remained by the 20th century. Today the style is experiencing a resurgence as American and European brewers have learned more about this unique German beer.
When asked for their thoughts on this beer, the brewery replied.
This is our take on a classic German style sour wheat beer. A style dubbed the champagne of the north by Napoleon's troops; this beer is a clean, tart thirst quencher.
Whether you're an acolyte or amateur, the brewery has you covered with optional Raspberry or Woodruff syrups from Soda Jerk Sodas, available for those who wish to lessen the tartness. Also at 3.8% and 6 IBU, one needn't worry about drinking too many of these on a Summer day.
Moving onto the second beer this week, the brewery shifts away from the past and introduces another beer proposing something in today's discussion - equality. Hopefully Equal Play, Equal Pay IPA does just that.
Inspired by the fact that despite three World Cup Championships and 4 Olympic Gold medals, the Women's Team USA is still underpaid in spite of their achievements. Hopefully, as you whet your lips to order this new India Pale Ale from Stoup Brewing Company, you'll consider the ongoing struggles of the sexes in something as cooperative as Soccer. But if this doesn't inspire a conversation, then maybe the notes of citrus, pine, papaya, and berry will at least remind you that 2/3 of Stoup's ownership is comprised of women. How's that for a conversation starter?
At 7.0% ABV and 62 IBU, Equal Play, Equal Pay IPA is online, side-by-side with Berliner Weiss, with the hope of inspiring conversations about the past and the future. Stoup Brewing Company is located at 1108 NW 52nd Street in Seattle's Ballard neighborhood. For more information on Stoup Brewing Company, visit http://www.stoupbrewing.com.
About Stoup Brewing Company
"Two thirsty science nerds and a curious connoisseur walk in to a brew pub… Okay, so it wasn’t quite like that, but it might as well have been."
Stoup Brewing is a long held dream of Brad Benson and Lara Zahaba – two hopeless drink and chow hounds. That the two found each other twenty years ago seems fated – Brad, a scientist to the very last DNA strand, would proffer a hypothesis based on proximity and human nature, we’re sure (ahem). Whatever your take, the takeaway is this: Brad loves beer and has been a loyal student, courter, and crafter for years that number beyond his fingers and toes. Lara loves all things gastro – from a savory plate to a smart pour. The pair, professionally and recreationally, have spent the better part of their hours improving their palate’s quality of life. It was only a matter of time before they ponied up and joined the community of talented purveyors.
Enter, Robyn Schumacher – friend, teacher and self-professed beer geek graduated Cicerone. She had the same dream. Fitting that Robyn’s infatuation with beer bloomed under the tutelage of a Biology degree. Robyn’s regard for all things hop and malt only deepened while her teaching career flourished. Brewing in her spare time was the final hook. Call it what you will – the stars aligning, simultaneous fermentation – Stoup Brewing was born. We’re thrilled to be a part of Seattle’s burgeoning craft beer community in Ballard’s Brewing District.

Zenyatta-week 2018 Day 5. Travels
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa I have no idea lel. Take this as one of those stories-with-very-non-linear-plots, mmkay? I honestly had no idea what to do to this one haha. Warnings: ANGST. Like holy fuck there is a lot of angst in this one. Mentions of Mondatta's death. Mentions of panic-attacks. Omnics cry coolant-tears. They can also dream because BUTTERFLY-VOICE-LINE BITCHES. Interactions can be taken as Genyatta but can also be seen as platonic if you like that better.
Travels Tekhartha Zenyatta had seen most of the world with his own optics. He had seen the mountains of Nepal, buzzing streets of India, industrial sheen of Korea, wonderful shrines of China, and the cherry trees of Japan. He had seen America, great and powerful. He had been in the calm forests of Canada. He had resisted the heat and moisture of the Amazon. He had seen the people of Africa, poor and hungry. He had admired the pyramids of Egypt. He had traveled trough Europe and felt like he had been in every nook and cranny there was. The old castles of German. Fields of Poland. Factories of Russia. He had seen the snowy mountains of Sweden, camped in the fresh forest air in Finland. And he loved them all. They all had their charm to themselves that made the place unique, and that fascinated Zenyatta. How people were so different, and yet so similar in each place. How they worked, how they lived, the social structures, nature and technology. The omnic found appreciation for each centimeter for the world. Expect for one place. One place he could not enjoy no matter how hard he tried. No matter how many times he went there, the pain was always the same. King's Row, England. He didn't have to explain himself to anyone when they found out he didn't fancy the place. Everyone knew why. And if they didn't, all they had to do was to look around a bit and they understood. Hate towards omnics was everywhere in the city. Writings on the walls, posters torn and painted on, omnics being told to go and stay underground. Zenyatta had seen many places where omnics were treated like enemies, but somehow King's Row seemed like a lost cause to him. That no matter where he turned, everyone wanted him crapped. Maybe it was the dim lighting of King's Row's streets, maybe it was the stares of the people, maybe it was the hateful shouts thrown his way... Or maybe it was that golden statue of Mondatta in the middle of it all. Zenyatta had officially visited the statue twice. Once with the Shambali, once with Genji. Both times it was clean and polished by the staff of the King's Row's City Hall, just for him and his fellow visitors. But when he would visit it without informing the City Hall, he would find the statue littered with graffiti. Hurtful things written all over it, covered by peace- and equality-posters only for them to be covered up too. Zenyatta would stand there, sometimes for hours if he could, just reading the texts and trying to understand the hate behind them. He never truly could. When some punks had then came with the intentions to destroy the serenity of the statue even more, who was Zenyatta to stop them? If he beat the young ones up, it would only create more discord between the omnics and human here. It was just hard sometimes, to watch the only thing you have left of your brother being destroyed over and over again... Mondatta was not here. He was buried in a morgue in the Monastery, under another huge statue of himself, this time made out of humble stone, not gold. His body rusted away in the stone-chamber, where the higher monks would visit once a year to bring incense and flowers. But Zenyatta would never be able to visit that place again. He had visited it once, on Mondatta's funeral. That was the last time he saw his brother's physical being, and it was inside that cold stone room... He could not even fathom the idea of seeing him now. Rusted and faded... Zenyatta wanted to remember Mondatta as a shining, tall and strong figure. He wanted to remember his voice, deep and booming, yet calming and serene. He wanted to remember his touch, strong yet gentle. He wanted to remember his embrace, his soothing words of comfort, his promise that everything was going to be okay, that they would be free one day, that they would forever be together- Zenyatta woke up with a jolt in his systems. He could hear the little mechanic voice in him repeat the same warning of overheating over and over again. Zenyatta sighed and turned the warning off. The cool air of the night would cool his systems up soon enough. It had been like this for a while now. Zenyatta would have dreams of his past travels, beautiful places, beautiful memories. Only to end up in King's Row, and eventually the damn omnioum he was created in and trained to do his job, beaten and spat on. It would not be so bad if it wasn't for him appearing in the dreams every time, as vibrant and feeling and sounding so damn real. Zenyatta could still feel the touch of his brother's hand on his shoulder. His sensors didn't notice his own hand trailing on that spot as if to reach for Mondatta until he indeed didn't feel anything on his fingers except for his own shoulder. Empty. Cold. Zenyatta's machinery hiccuped. He curled into a ball and let the coolant drip from his optics as the little voice in him started blaring the warning again.
"Master?" Zenyatta didn't remember falling back into rest-mode. Hearing Genji's voice woke him up from it as he slowly onlined his optics to find himself still laying, curled up into a ball, one hand resting on his empty shoulder. "Good morning, Genji." he mustered out of his voice-box. He was surprised it came out so calm and soft. So normal. "Master, is everything alright?" the cyborg asked, sitting next to Zenyatta in a lotus-position. The omnic held back a sigh. He had so hoped Genji would not notice his sorrow. Not anymore. He got up, slowly, to make sure he would not seem too eager to get out of the situation. "I'm quite fine, my student, thank you for asking." the omnic chimed, putting his legs into lotus-position as well and slowly floating up just few inches. He hated to lie to Genji, to anyone really, but he didn't want to bother his student with his own problems too much... He had already done enough. It had been six months already. Since they got the news from Mondatta's fate. They had been visiting a small village with only one working tv, situated in a local pub. The news were on when they sat there, Genji enjoying a stiff drink and Zenyatta drinking some oil. Zenyatta was just about to tell one of his favorite jokes when his audio-receptors caught the faint sound of the Tv saying "Earlier today, Shambali's leader Tekhartha Mondatta was assassinated on King's Row". Everything had been a blur since then. He could only remember few moments from here and there. Genji's voice calling his, either by "master" or the very rare case his actual name. Feeling of being carried and gently put down on something soft, most likely a bed in the local cheap motel. Waking up screaming and crying. Being held close and hearing soothing words, though Zenyatta could not remember what the words said exactly. He also remembered a song. Well, more of a rhythm of the song, since he could not remember the words. It had taken Zenyatta two whole weeks to start functioning properly again. And when he did, he begged Genji to tell him it had all been a bad dream. Genji didn't say anything. He simply sighed. Sad. Hollow. Mourning. They were in Nepal, and Zenyatta later found out that the Shambali had send a drop-ship to pick the two up after Genji had informed them of his situation. Zenyatta felt awful to have caused so much trouble, but Genji, and everyone else he had apologized for, told him that his reaction was completely justified. Mondatta was gone. He was never going to come back. He had died. Zenyatta repeated this to himself many times a day, trying to cope with the thought. His dear brother, first one who showed his love and affection, first one to call him family, first one to protect and care for him. His rock, his mountain. Was gone. Zenyatta often found himself overheating on the floor, sobbing and hiccuping as his processors were coping with his mental progressing. Each surfacing memory, each familiar scent, feel and even color could trigger what must have been the omnic-equivalent of a panic-attack. And each time Genji would find him, hold him, sooth him with words, and... hum. That same tune Zenyatta remembered from those two painful first weeks. The funeral was absolute pain. Not the fact that he would have to stare his offlined brother for what must have been the longest day of his life, listen to visitors giving their condolences, having to shoo off media and reporters trying to break their way to the private funeral. It was fighting back every processor inside him telling him to run to his brother, hold him, beg him to get up, get up and live, damn it! He could not die! Not like this! He was supposed to live long and happy! With his brother! With his family and friends!! Thank the Iris for Genji. Dear, strong and sweet Genji. He was always there, right besides Zenyatta. He would stand there, giving moral support. He would land his hand on his shoulder, like he had, or arm for reassurance. When a reporter would ask for an interview, Genji would take a freedom to ever so kindly kick their asses off the monastery. When there was a quiet moment, or when Zenyatta needed one, Genji would pull him behind the corner and embrace him. That gave Zenyatta enough mental energy to power trough the day. Zenyatta refused the leadership the first thing next morning. He didn't want to linger in the place any longer than he absolutely needed to. He gave hasty goodbyes to everyone and left to continue Genji's training. He need to. His soul begged him to MOVE. Months flew by and the panic-attacks stopped. Memories started to fade. Pain started to go numb. But the dreams. They stayed. And Genji knew they did. He must have seen it. Many times by now. It didn't help that they often shared a tent or a spot on the soft grass to rest in. Genji was indeed still part human and needed at least 8 hours of sleep. And Zenyatta needed to recharge his machinery. Genji refused to sleep far away from Zenyatta. He wanted to be close. And part of Zenyatta was glad. Feeling the cyborg's presence helped him power off for the night. But it didn't take away the nightmares. "Master." Genji said, with a serious tone. "Please tell me if something is bothering you." Zenyatta stayed quiet a second too long to seem truly innocent. "I do not quite understand what you me-" "Don't lie to me, Zenyatta." The serious tone and the usage of the real name made Zenyatta float down on the grass and sigh. He felt his walls come down again. "Master, I know you have nightmares every night. I know they are about Mondatta. And I know they bother you." Genji said. "It hurts me to watch you suffer, master." the cyborg then said, almost like a whisper. "And not being allowed to help..." Zenyatta didn't really realize what he was doing before his arms already were around Genji's neck and his faceplate resting against the cyborg's shoulder. But it felt right so he didn't abort the move. "I'm sorry Genji." the omnic stuttered. He was overheating again. "I just... don't want to cause you more trouble... You've done so much to me already, I can't possibly ask for more!" Genji didn't wrap his arms around the omnic which made Zenyatta panic for a second, had he stepped over his boundaries? Instead the cyborg held the monk's shoulders with his strong hands and gently pushed them apart only so he would face Zenyatta. "Master. You helped me find peace with myself and my new body. You helped me forgive my brother, the mad who I have hated more than ten years of my life! You showed me wonderful things on our travels! You made me whole, Zenyatta." A pause. "Helping you become whole again is the least I can do to pay back to you." Now Genji embraced the omnic, who found coolant falling from his optics again. This time due to a different emotion than sorrow.
"Genji?" "Yes Master?" "Can you... do something for me?" "Anything!" "Can you... sing that song? The same you did when..." Silence. A small laugh from Genji. "Of course..." Hearing the familiar tune soothes Zenyatta. He lays his head back in Genji's lap. It feels weird, having their roles switched like this. But it's nice so the omnic doesn't complain. This kinda reminds him of when he and Mond- His core freezes for a slit second. But Genji's voice brings him back. Zenyatta's fans kick in and start bringing in the cool air around him. Omnic's way of taking a deep breath, you could say. Zenyatta looks up to the cyborg. He feels safe. He feels happy. True, it will still hurt. For the rest of his life it will hurt. Each time he thinks of Mondatta. Each time he goes to King's Row. Each time he thinks of home. But now Zenyatta knows that he isn't travelling the path of life alone. Zenyatta let's his systems go offline while he listens to Genji's voice. And he dreams again. But this time it's different. Zenyatta is on one of the fields of Poland. Mondatta is there, sitting and gathering flowers for a flower-crown he is working on. Besides him Genji lays and looks at the clouds while chewing on a string of hay. Zenyatta feels the embrace of the Iris in him again. He feels happy. He sits between his brother and student and gently leans on Mondatta's shoulder. Mondatta simply puts his hand on his brother's shoulder. Zenyatta reaches to touch it. He wishes he could smile. It's there. He can feel it. END

How to prepare for a Solo Trip to Europe
Solo trips can be exciting, exhilarating and extremely liberating. Luckily, globe-trotting nowadays is quite easy and many overseas destinations are reckoned as a safe haven for solo travellers. One such destination is Europe. Known for its rich heritage, Europe offers a variety of attractions – history, art & culture, food, and more – that you would love to explore.
If you are contemplating a solo trip to Europe, here are some things that you can do:
Know People ‘N’ Languages
Notably, Europe is a continent that comprises many countries, including France, Italy, Germany, Spain, Poland, Sweden, Netherlands, Switzerland, Romania, Austria, Denmark, Hungary, Russia, and so on.  Every country has a unique spoken language. A visit to Europe will allow you to interact with locals and learn new languages. Europe also attracts international students from across the globe and learning local languages and accents is useful for them as well.
 Affordable Accommodation
As a solo traveller, you can skip elaborate accommodation.  Go for a single-bedded room or dormitory instead. This will help you save loads of money as well.  You need not compromise on safety or convenience and can stay at places that are specially meant for solo travellers and offer all facilities. So, when you travel alone, you can set your limits and enjoy your travel without worrying about fellow-travellers.
 Plan Your Travel Routine
You get a chance to decide your travel plan and schedule as a solo traveller. The routine that you follow during the day is entirely upon you. You can improvise on your travel routine or select the places you want to go to. Moreover, you can also make a change in the plan, if needed, as you are the sole decision-maker. You can, hence, have a seamless experience when you travel alone, unlike when you travel in a group.
 Explore Less Travelled Places
When travelling in a group, the visits are usually restricted to certain popular places as included in the travel plan.  However, when you travel solo, you can explore so much more and visit all places that you find interesting or see places that are untravelled or less visited by the people. As such, you can enjoy and embrace the feeling of discovering lesser-known places.
 Check Out The Night Life
You could check out the nightlife while on a solo trip to European counties.  Europeans are modern and broadminded, and they like visiting pubs and bars in the evenings for socializing and entertainment. Reputed pubs/bars are usually safe; entry/age restrictions may apply as per local laws. You can also explore some unique heritage bars where one can enjoy the finest wines, scotch and whisky.
 Adjust ‘N’ Acclimatize
Travelling to a new place can be overwhelming and you might even feel lonely at times. However, if you want to enjoy your stay, the best thing is to swiftly adapt to the new atmosphere, and get acquainted with people. Of course, you should be cautious not to trust everyone blindly. Travelling solo can help you learn a lot about acclimating with different people, adapting to other cultures and dealing with life situations.
 Adequate Travel Insurance
Health and safety are paramount to a solo traveller.  Hence, do not skip taking Schengen Travel Insurance, which is also required for obtaining Schengen Visa for visiting European countries. Even if you are going alone to any European country to study, a student travel visa is a must-have. Adequate travel insurance provides financial security against any unforeseen contingencies arising during the trip.
Whether you are a vacationer or a student, Europe has endless new experiences waiting for you to explore and revel in. A solo trip, out of choice or need, is a great way to step out of your comfort zone and experience life up, close and personal. However, you must remember that travelling alone means that you are on your own for everything. Apart from being extra-careful, another important thing you can do is to buy a suitable travel plan – Schengen travel insurance or Student travel insurance as the case may be.

Portland's Von Ebert Brewing releases draft Grodziskie and canned, for the time ever, Geotropic IPA.
Press Release
Tumblr media

PORTLAND, Ore. … Von Ebert Brewing, winner of the 2021 Oregon Beer Awards’ Medium Size Brewery of the Year, this week is releasing two notable beers.
As Only Earth Could Conjure is a new 3.2% Polish smoked wheat beer, also known as a Grodziskie.
“Grodziskie is a historical style of beer originating in Poland and often affectionately referred to as Polish champagne,” explained Von Ebert brewer Brendan Barber. “We’re starting to see the style become a bit more popular in the U.S., gaining a cult following particularly in the Pacific Northwest. Its underground popularity has been driven by its unique taste, low ABV, and high level of carbonation, which combine to make it exceptionally quaffable.”
Made entirely from oak smoked wheat, the smokey character of the beer is more reserved than other styles of smoked beer. Its hop character is present only to balance the beer’s smokiness and effervescence with moderate bitterness and subtle herbaceous notes.
In November of 2021, Von Ebert released Geotropic IPA on draft at its brewpubs. The beer received such positive reviews from customers that the brewery made the decision to re-release it and offer it in cans this week.
The 7.4% ABV beer contains a fruit cocktail of flavor notes - lychee, mango, pineapple, strawberry, guava, melon, and cherry - produced by the combination of HBC 586, ADHA 218, Sultana, Idaho 7, and El Dorado hops. Geotropic IPA has a medium body with a dry finish.
As Only Earth Could Conjure will be available on draft at both the Von Ebert Glendoveer and Pearl brewpubs beginning on Friday, February 4, while Geotropic IPA will be available at both brewpubs on draft and in cans also on Friday, February 4.
Find Von Ebert on social media: @vebrewing and facebook.com/VonEbertBrewing.
About Von Ebert Brewing Von Ebert Brewing, winner of Brewery of the Year, Medium Size, at the 2021 Oregon Beer Awards, sits at the crossroads where storied traditions meet bold new ideas in brewing. Independently owned and operated, the Portland, OR-based brewery produces award-winning beers in a variety of styles. Von Ebert beers have received medals at numerous competitions, world-class ratings from top blind tasting panels, and recognition as one of the top 20 beers in the world over the past year. In addition to modern IPAs and crisp lagers, the oak-aged, bottle-conditioned Heritage beer program sets the brewery apart. All of the beers pair perfectly with the elevated American pub cuisine served at both brewpub locations. For more information, please visit www.vonebertbrewing.com. --

Summary of 2017.
Tumblr media
So I’m gonna summarise my 2017 or at least give a few key notes and some thankyou’s!
1. Family - Living away from them makes me appreciate them more but my love for them has always stayed true. I entered 2017 with an amazing family and they continue into 2018.
2. Auntie Mo - Before I moved away to America I lost an amazing women and a big figure in my life. The fact she was always in my corner made her even more precious. Auntie Mo, you made your mark on me, I love you and I miss you so much.
3. My move to the USA - This has been a crazy and a dream move. I’ve witnessed some amazing sites and met some amazing people. If I was summing up USA in few words it would be something like this; Pumpkin, Ranch, Beef Jerky and Coffee.
4. My Blue Family - So it's only right that I start this part of with thanking Coach Ian Hill for giving me the chance to be here. Having a Boss that only sleeps 40 minutes a night and messages you at 4am about a player he’s spotted is quite unique but I’ll forever be thankful for him. I’ve connected myself with an amazing club with some amazing players. They may not be blood but they are my family.
5. Las Vegas ft. Rod Stewart - So I finally got to visit the city of sin. Meeting up with my mother and father. Watching them renew their vows under the company of Elvis Presley. I also watched my Idol (Rod Stewart) in concert. Not many 21 year olds would be comfy say that but......oh well.
6. Love - In a year I finally became comfortable in being on my own and enjoying my own company, it's something I’m happy to have conquered. Currently I’m thankful to have an amazing boyfriend who is fully supportive of my career and my life goals.
7. Leaving my boys - Having 13 little brothers and two older brothers in Nunthorpe under 12′s was always something I struggled to leave behind. On my last game with the boys they lifted a trophy! A nice testament to the 6 years we spent with each other. Leaving behind my coaching team (Andrew McDonald and Mark Sadler) was also something hard. Two guys who supported me and rekindled the love I sometimes lost with the game and even sometimes life. I had the best coaching team in world football. No arguments.
8. The Guy in the sky - So being away from my family and friends I came to a decision that I needed to have a constant in my life. That guy was God. I’m thankful that I've found him and he takes great strength within my life.
9. Big sister found her mister - Well Jade didn't find Tom in 2017 but they sealed it with an engagement. One of the most happiest days of my year is to see her happy and smiling with her fiancé! Good Luck Thomas.
10. Geraldine Williams - So I spent some time being lucky enough to manager a local pub in my home town. I had an amazing staff but an even more amazing boss in Gel Williams. She let me build the type of manager I wanted to be and give me a free swing of running things. I learnt some life skills I can only be thankful for. THEE best boss I’ve ever worked for.
11. Poland - Early in the year I visited  Krakow. In my time there I drank some really cheap beer but more importantly I walked round Auschwitz. That is something I will never forget and pray that nothing like that ever takes place on this earth again. Also seeing Tyre being unable to handle shots of Vodka was a whole different story.
Don't regret anything. Keep the faith. Chase a dream. Love. Be open to new things. Do it today. Be thankful.
Stay Happy, Stay Gold x
