Not only the younger woman, but also Elmyra; they welcomed the brothel madame into their domestic routines as if she was related by blood; they supplied the human connections that the inn proprietress craved so much.

In reality, they offered Melissa a gift everyday with their affection and allowing the brunette to belong; it was only fair to repay it on Aerith's special day.

For that year, however, the madame tried to be creative - as well as a little bit on the mischievous side. Bringing Aerith jewelry was not a novelty in itself, even if Melissa tended to order her gifts from a particular artisan and get them custom-made, just as her own pieces. But this time, no flower or expected allusion to the girl's beautiful garden... But a small, very familiar feline figure hanging from a delicate gold chain (golden like honey - of course).

"I thought you'd appreciate a little reminder of a mutual friend of yours, even when he's not around," Melissa joked, the pendant an obvious allusion to Cait Sith although it wasn't immediately noticeable to anyone unfamiliar with Reeve's esteemed companion, "Besides, it's going to be so much fun to watch Reeve struggle to remember when he gave you that," the older woman grinned, but proceeded to envelop Aerith in a hug and press a kiss to each of her cheeks, as well as one on her forehead. There was no such thing as too much affection for the madame, after all.

"Happy birthday, sweetheart. I hope you have many happy ones - I'll do my best to shower you with gifts during each and every one of them."

------IT HAD LONG been noted that aerith had a penchant for finding company in the oddest of places. any detailed eye, if they knew where to look, might find that she'd befriended (in some fashion) each of the turks that visited her in their quiet, secret moments. body guards, bar maids, "terrorist" group leaders ... everything in between, painted magnificently in a canvas of friendship that only someone like aerith gainsborough could weave. it should come to no surprise that among those friends lay two influential figureheads ---powerful in their own right, and tied to the cetra in a similar fashion: through love.

reeve tuesti was a surprise of a friend. he was a surprise of a love, too, spawned from innocence and delicate gestures, cherished in dirt-covered palms as if he were precious like a seedling (and he was precious, he was). the turks were one thing - if shinra knew they had been keeping aerith secret for so long, shit would surely hit the fan. but one of their directors? so close? preposterous.

and the proprietress of the honey been inn struck another note. wall-market was cloistered organization of power itself. while the don held the obvious influence it was the madame of the inn that really held power ... secrets, one in the same. it had never been aerith's intention to get in good with melissa for anything other than a friend. more than this ---a sister. the gossip that came therein was a comical bonus, often left by the wayside for genuine affection in the form of time spent. aerith would happily whittle her days away in the company of big sister, learning from her, laughing with her, enjoying the softness that came with each of these aspects.

elmyra so often commented how nice it was to have someone like mel around, too. a good balance of those brutes (the turks, or maybe zack and cloud?)

keepsakes were precious to aerith. the ribbon gifted from a dark-haired SOLDIER so often adorned her hair still (or her wrist, if she didn't wear the twist people so often associated with her). the glimmer of the feline had aerith's eyes widening and the grin that spread to her features was infectious. cait sith was precious to her - someone she toted around the slums as if he were a child and not a creation of that aforementioned shinra director. " oh mel, it's too much! " gold, really ... but she wriggled in her seat while inspecting the charm regardless.

she was quick to clasp the necklace around her neck, then to accept mel's sweeping hug in one of her own. she squeezed her dear friend with all of her little might, a chuckle escaping her thereafter, " please, he'll drive himself insane trying to remember. he's not far off, not with the work hours. " a pause, and aerith lingered holding onto mel's hands, clasped her fingers with melissa's, " stay the night? a sleep over? thank you, melissa. sincerely. "

Yes, he was a little upset that he kept on getting dragged into these silly exercises of Charlie's. He was promised booze and Husk was fairly certain the only reason he didn't get yelled at that much for drinking excessively was because they couldn't have a bar without it. So long as he didn't drink during one of the group activities and kept the bar stock, then he thought it should be fine. Or he had yet to be yelled at for it.

Something that I find rather annoying about the writing of Legends Arceus is the sheer amounts of wasted potential present with most characters, of all the Wardens I believe the best written in the game is Palina, Ingo is good, but his most interesting characterization is the result of work made by the fans. Almost every character has one trait that makes them interesting to me; it’s frustrating that Game Freak could just stumble by accident into making such good characters.

which scream movie is the best and are there any skips? i just watched the first because of your posts and loooved it.

hiii tbh i’d say the first is the best in the franchise. cliche and predictable answer i KNOW but it’s true (also not to say that the movies go down in quality the first one is just smth special), with that being said i wouldn’t really recommend skipping any of the movies, like yeah you’ll see a bunch of people say that “(x) is the worst” or smth similar obvi because that’s how it goes but i’d say they’re all like essential if you wanna gauge character plots (tbh the only skippable movie is scream 4, not because it’s bad but because scream 5 isn’t a direct sequel and has a different main cast, some people even start at scream 5 in regards to the whole franchise. still wouldn’t recommend skipping 4 tho)

i liked all of the movies in some way so i’m probs not the best when it comes to asking about skips, like my least fave movie in the franchise would probably be scream 3 but on the other hand i could watch it forever. also all the movies are really entertaining that’s one thing the franchise is never gonna lose imo. knock on wood.

Tried out Kenshi for the first 30 minutes only to realize I had no idea what I was doing and thought Let’s check up the guides on YouTube instead of going in absolutely blind next time.

Still, when the flowergirl comes home from a long day of selling flowers, there is a wrapped package left at her door.

Pink ribbons and bows adorn the vibrant red paper, and in big bold letters her name is written on the card attached to the gift. With "from Zack" scrawled out across the bottom of the paper.

------SHE NEVER EXPECTED anything on her birthday. a silly notion, considering elmyra always went out of her way to ensure that aerith felt loved now. she suspected that her adopted mother often worried - that she'd slip through the cracks and be forgotten (much as she was as a child attending the leaf house for lessons, being teased by other children), or that she was insignificant. aerith never believed those things. it was only ever evident in the way elmyra looked out for her, cared for her that she was adored. but still ---she suspected that a mother worried. it had been a long time since she'd woken up to find her daughter shaking in bed with a cold sweat form nightmares - memories come in the form of dreams. but it still happened.

regardless, aerith never expected anything. she loved the morning routine, the stack of pancakes so high that it would be impossible to eat more than four (she always ate seven, though). or the cake in the evening, bringing a sugar rush so dangerous that aerith often climbed up on the roof to sit under the soft artificial "moonlight" and listen to the flowers and the waterfall.

she looked forward to those things - her own gift to herself tucked into a little satchel at her side, a sort of pseudo purse with precious life within. the package was hard to ignore, not that she wanted to, and she stooped for the gift as she neared the door. surely not elmyra.

when it turned over in her hands she lit up at the name scrawled below -sore for missing him, if he'd stopped by himself, but excited all the same. rather than bringing it in with her (and rather than experiencing the third degree of elmyra gainsborough) she crouched where she was ... by the door, and gingerly began unwrapping the gift.

she did like surprises.

Jikook Week 16 Complete ✔️(26/03-02/04/2024)

Their sixteenth week in the military is now complete. It's time to celebrate this milestone with a look back at this week in 2018.

No shows or concerts this week but a lot of content was released. On the 28/03 the first episode of Burn the Stage, the documentary series showing the behind the scenes of the Wings Tour in 2017, was released. The first episode covered the preparations for the tour. The members describe their role in the group and it's revealing. Jimin babe, what do you mean you are taking on the maknae role?

Ep. 2 was released on 29/03 and covers their concerts in Seoul and Chile. The Seoul concert coincided with JHope's birthday and Jimin's antics led to an irretrievable cake malfunction for which he had to apologise profusely.

Then they are on a plane and RM has lost his passport. I heard about this incident, but seeing it on the screen, all of them stuck there, looking for the passport and wondering if they will be able to enter Chile, it makes it much more real and much more dramatic.

The clip with Jungkook dancing to Lie also comes from this episode.

Jikook are front and centre in the Chile concert. Jimin's drive for perfection and disappointment when he can't delivery and Jungkook pushing himself beyond his limits are the main focus of the second half of the episode. It is clear that the members are shocked to see JK exhausted and RM questions himself on what he as leader should do in that situation. They all faced so many challenges on tour.

Also this week, Run BTS Episode 46 came out. BTS went to a pottery studio and were tasked with making a gift for another member.

Jimin made a statue for V. He also made a rose and a cup for himself which the tutor gave top marks for attractiveness once it was fired.

JK made a tea set for RM.

Probably the funniest bit though was Hobi's remaking this famous scene from Ghost with RM in the Demi Moore role.

And a little bit of a headcanon surrounding The Corinthian the Second. Clearly, This Corinthian wants to remove themselves from the First Corinthian as much as possible. So that also means a change of style. Hence, all the leather, and perhaps even the piercings. It is a new era for this Corinthian and they are making a change. ( Even though they've already changed once recreated to be like this. Though certain memories linger, certain desires or just cravings linger too, just in the darkness of their mind. ) The idea of them wearing a suit feels wrong. And if it's required for a special event, The Corinthian will feel like the collar is slowly strangling them. The suit is nothing but a reminder, a faint one but they know that these things are quite the connection to the First.

Whereas The Corinthian the First is known to go with pleasing attires. This goes for suits to even casual wear. Beige Turtlenecks. Long coats. A nice but inviting suit. You name it.

The Second might go for dark colours and The First will go for light colours.
