Vermouth:

Literally part of an evil organization, kills people, yada yada, but also she's HOT GIRL SHIT. Femme Fatale. Has tension with the protag's mom because they used to be besties before she faked her death, also tried to kill adifferent character's mom by forcefully kissing her and giving her experimental poison. (Sure, women poisoning women get to kiss, but none of the men poisoning men get to do that!!!) But also, she protects the protag from her evil organization because of her relationship to his mom, and protects his girlfriend because said girlfriend accidentally saved Vermouth's life when she was running from the cops.

Kumoko / Shiraori:

She has her own goals and values, we're on her side. She's absolutely ruthless in her path for power, kills people, and joined the apparently "evil" demon side. A mysterious plot with twists and turns like a rollercoaster, and a blank expression like. Yess girl, go on! Give us nothing, slayyy

When her whole class dies in an explosion she's reincarnated in another world as a weak monster spider in a dungeon (the rest of the class was also reincarnated, mostly as humans). She has to eat the other monsters to survive and evolve to become stronger with the goal of making it out of the dungeon. When she does finally make it out of the dungeon she saves a baby and accidentally starts a war to which her reaction is basically "Perfect, killing humans give more EXP than monsters so it looks like it's EXP farming time". Kumoko accidentally infects the Demon Lord with a part of her soul causing her to take on parts of Kumoko's personality and leading to them teaming up.

Sure she may have genocided almost every elf and caused multiple wars but she wants her girlfriend to be happy and her girlfriends dad is the leader of all eleves and has been for far longer than he should be sure she wants to kill half of the life on the planet she's currently on but because her girlfriend's pseudo mom is the core of the planet and she just wants her to live and so what if caused multiple wars she's saving the planet and she is definitely autistic

the art for this was such a struggle, especially compared to the Gin piece. i think it's a combination of trying to go for a more swooshy painterly sort of style, and also just generally having an art-struggle week. i'm still not super happy with the details tbh - but i AM happy with the expression i settled on for her! anyone who's been reading my fic knows i've been playing around with references to Naoki Urasawa's Monster. here, the role of Johan Liebert, who could manipulate someone into doing heinous things with just a few little words, simply must go to Miss Vermouth.

also for clothing i was inspired by marlene dietrich, for ... reasons.

with the song, i didn't even hesitate! i knew it had to be from Cri des loups - i just wasn't sure which of the lines. in the end, i settled on the one above, translated from this original;

C'est moi le scandale; Fatal, désigné! C'est moi ton moral: Mis à mal, écrasé

but there's a lot of really good ones, and really i just encourage yall to listen to the whole track

Aunt Vermouth

So everyone knows Kaito kid right Kuroba Kaito and how he comes from a family of thieves right? Well as I have said Aunt Vermouth. Basing this off a post I saw before that talked about Conan seeing Kid work with Vermouth and having a mental breakdown about Kid being in the BO. So I wanted to spread this awareness.

Vermouth is the family friend of the Kuroba's either by Touchi or Chikage is up to you tbh. So Kaito meets Vermouth when he is very young and he sees her appear around the house every now and again so he knows about her and sometimes he even talks to her.

I feel like their conversations would be Kaito trying to show off his skills to her and she would think it's cute and play along with him. Kaito is so gender neutral and is a prankster so he likes dressing up as a girl to have some fun and I feel like Vermouth would enable him by buying him dresses that are fashionable and flexible for his more boyish characteristics.

So throwing in the detectives in this prompt is a bit difficult because Vermouth and Kid like sticking to the shadows. I feel like Conan would run in to Kid doing his Aunt a favor like stealing an artifact that is said to be cursed or something like that or something that got in the wrong hands like a clue for Conan that she wants him to deliver for her. We all know Conan would be freaking out because Kid is doing a favour for one of the top BO members and he would try and follow Kid to see where a posible BO base is only to find Kid in a disguise at a restaurant with Vermouth. Stuffing his face with cake as she gives him a new dress and they part ways with la bise(french greeting or goodbye).

Vermouth would totally know Conan is there too but she won't say anything because she thinks this misunderstanding is amusing.
