#wednesday addams is bad at feeling
Text
Yoko: Sooo Wends, my dude.
Wednesday: Don’t call me that.
Yoko: Right, only Enid gets to call you that. Speaking of which, are you for the girls?
Divina: *Side-eyes Yoko*
Wednesday: What? No, that’s preposterous.
Enid, getting up: Oh.
Enid: *Walks away*
Divina: I thought you liked her?
Yoko: What the hell, dude?
Wednesday: I do, and I don’t understand why she’s upset.
Divina: That’s because she likes you, too.
Yoko: And you just said you’d never date a girl in the worst way possible. It was borderline homophobic.
Wednesday: No, I said I’d only date her.
Divina: What?
Yoko: Huh?
Wednesday: You said ‘for the girls.’ Plural. I’m for a girl, singular. Enid.
Yoko: Addams, you are incredibly stupid. Now, please, before you kill me for that insult, go get your girl.
Wednesday, walking away: Fine, but sleep with one eye open tonight.
Yoko: I’m literally a vampire. I don’t even sleep. Bro has zero rizz, AND she can’t even properly insult me.
Divina: She can kill you hands tied and eyes closed.
Yoko: I know. Will you protect me, tonight?

SPOILERS FOR WEDNESDAY!!!
so I don’t really like Tyler that much but the whole reveal that he’s actually evil seems bullshit. he’s been emotionally abused, he’s been through a traumatic event, possibly related to his mothers death, his father neglects him, then he’s LITERALLY tortured and manipulated into hurting others. he’s been chained up in a cave, naked, and he’s magically (or something of the sort) controlled by Laurel. after a while he starts to cooperate with his abuser who can, let me remind you, also basically-sorta-mind-control him if he doesn’t do what she says.
After Wednesday confronts him, he tells her he now enjoys hurting people but i feel like he’s not in a right place mentally in that moment. He’s just been in a very stressful and possibly triggering situation after Wednesday kidnapped him and hurt him to try and get him to confess to being the monster.
It’s crazy to me that I just saw a bunch of people hating on him for being “a fake manipulator” or something along those lines - yes i agree that his interpretation of Wednesday leading him on was really far fetched but also he seemed to be genuinely interested in her and cared for her. I hope if there’s more seasons they won’t turn him into a cold uncaring evil mastermind or something like that. Justice for Tyler!

Xavier: So what do you want for your birthday?
Wednesday, thinking: You, just you.
The world may collapse and all will lose hope but with you by my side I can achieve anything. Oh how I wish to make love with you in an open grave under the pale moonlight. All I wish for is you to reciprocate these feelings. I would burn down the world if you could be mine forever.
Wednesday: Some peace and quiet from you would be nice.
Xavier: Ouch.

no but like can you imagine Gomez and Fester teaching Tyler the most efficient way to hunt and kill his targets? Teaching him how to hone his natural skills and how to cover up his tracks? And can you *imagine* Morticia helping Bianca perfect her siren song? And also teach her how easy it is to manipulate someone even without it?? Can you imagine both Gomez and Morticia dotting on Enid, cuz she is just a sunshine puppy who deserves the world? And Morticia complimenting her wardrobe choices even if they're too colorful for the Addam's family standards? Can you IMAGINE these children finally getting the motherly and fatherly love they were robed off?? All the while Wednesday watches from a far , visibly cringing with second hand embarrassment, but deep down feeling relieved that her parents have now three more children to suffocate with their love and adoration which means more Wednesday alone time so that she can finish her novel.

Wednesday (Sitting with her back to the door) : Thing. I don't know what is wrong with me. We have already established that I'm not sick; so why can't I get them out of my head.
Enid (Who just walked into the room) : If you can't get somebody out, they're probably supposed to be there.
Wednesday : ........
Enid (Panicking) : Uhm.... I shouldn't have said that and I wasn't listening like a creep I just came-
Wednesday (Frowning as she looks at Enid) : Shut your mouth before I do it for you Sinclair.
Thing (Now on Enid's shoulder) : -She has a point and you know it-
Wednesday (Standing up, walking towards her Typewriter) : No, she doesn't. (Colour and sunshine doesn't belong in darkness.)
Enid (Looking at Thing confused) : Who said anything about sunshine and colour? *Walks closer to Wednesday*
Thing : ........
Wednesday (Realising she said that outloud) : .........
Enid : Wait.......

Pretty Woman AU:
Wednesday is a famous horror author and cannot stand book tours. After Wednesday’s herse breaks down in front of Tyler, Tyler offers to help take her back to her hotel. For $100 of course.
Wednesday finds she enjoys the strange man’s company and after inviting him upstairs for sex to help her relax. Wednesday offers Tyler a job as her stress management assistant. To help relax her whenever she becomes overwhelmed at book tours, banquet nights, and publishing meetings.
Tyler is happy to get away from his shitty New York apartment and travel around with Wednesday. Making more than he ever thought possible. Of course he’s not unaware if the position he’s in. Tyler knows the power Wednesday has in their relationship, and tries to not feel self conscious about being paid to have sex with Wednesday in order to help keep her relaxed on tour. Tyler is going to miss waking up in Wednesday’s arms.

okay I know its really cool that Enid is insecure about her scars, cuz angst + hurt/comfort BUT HEAR ME OUT the scars stays but everyone thinks Enid fucking Sinclair was the coolest she-wolf in Nevermore, and you know Enid she eats up any complement.
She would walk through the hallways of Nevermore with her chest puffed out and her chin up while clipping her hair to emphasize the scars. maybe adopting a bad bitch persona too “yeah im Enid yunno girl living at the edge” winks at you. and Wednesday would roll her eye at her, overall somewhat playful with each other and everyone is just confuse how they are friends.
HELL Nevermore students thinks its impossible for anybody to be friends with Wednesday, yet Enid succeeded it with flying (pride) colors. But the general populace is unaware that Wednesday is so kind to Enid, (at least most days).
Want a boyfriend? BOOM lets change cards so you can talk to Ajax,  you want that Poe cup? k i have a plan and we won it, you want to transform? BOOOM WEREWOLF!! A HUG? FINE GET A FUCKING HUG.
Once again Wednesday unintentionally made Enid's life in Nevermore a little bit better. (same goes to Wednesday but she never admit to it)

Let it stand alone
Saw "Wonka" with the nieces way too late, because I thought it was a cash grab franchise milking faux nostalgic manipulation move, and I guess it was, and I still had a good time.
Now, if I were Roald Dahl, I'd likely object to this sweetheart of a Wonka. Wonka's a mad borderline dangerous maverick in Charlie. But this isn't the book, it's an adaption. If you don't know Wonka isn't a sweetheart, him being one doesn't ring false in the film. And books get adapted all the time - various adaptions aren't necessarily a commentary on one another.
So why tie this so deliberately to the Gene Wilder version? It isn't the same Wonka, and that's OK! It isn't Dahl's Wonka, and that's OK! It's another take on Wonka that works fine for what it is. Do they really think audiences would not have gone to watch a lovely romp about a sweet chocolatier anyway? That Oompa Loompas aren't fun without green hair? Look, this setup could have worked as "The Corruption of Willy Wonka" too, but that isn't what it wanted to be. Tying it too closely to another film for the parents' sake is the only thing that suddenly creates plotholes and ooc moments when there weren't any before.

*Wenclair joking around*
Enid: Fine. You wanna be like that? I’m gonna room with Yoko.
Wednesday: *Gets into fetal position*
Enid, rushing over: Wait! No, Wends, I was just joking.
Wednesday, sadly: Don’t joke about such serious manners, Enid.

That last post just made me realize that, whether it’s Wyler or Wenclair or Wyclair, Wednesday Addams would bring the energy of the cat in this now deleted post:

People being confused why Wednesday gave a shit about a monster murdering people really have a fucked and weird view of "good people" and "bad people". Wednesday has zero to no empathy, so she can come off very blunt and abrasive at times, but she's not a bad person, she was raised by the Addams! A family about love and connection and decency and decency to those you don't understand. The Addams aren't Bigots, they don't go out of there way to bully people. They just believe the macabre and dreary don't have to be perceived as negative, and the darkness of life doesn't have to be shunned or tabooed and can instead be seen for what it could be, a party with the dead in a graveyard. They don't like to scare they like to spook, they don't like to terrorize or traumatize they like to frighten. When not fighting their enemies the Addams are a kooky and spooky family filled with love not only for them, but for the other outsiders and weirdos the show was representing by rejecting the nuclear family form. So Wednesday not liking when people she views as weak and pathetic getting unfairly abused and bullied makes sense because she was taught that those who conform would want and if possible would do the exact same thing to her and her family for being different. People seem to think Wednesday is evil and enjoys being so but many times throughout the show when she's told she's cruel and toxic in a way similar to those her parents would despise? She gets confused, and uncomfortable. Her morals are black and white like that of a child and like that of someone who doesn't really understand them herself but was taught and raised to believe in them. Also having a antisocial personality disorder can make shit so fucking boring and understimulating so why the fuck wouldn't she invest a crazy murder? What else does she have going on? Math?
