Day 1 of the #funguarychallenge by @feefal ! I loved the prompts for this, so I thought it would be fun to join in! Day 1 is the Shaggy Ink Cap Mushroom, or 𝘊𝘰𝘱𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘶𝘴 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘶𝘴. These mushrooms start out with a shaggy oval shaped cap, then as they grow, the cap shrinks, turning into a soggy looking black liquid, that contains its spores. Surprisingly, it is edible! Only before its gills turn black however. — — — #funguary #art #watercolor #wetmedium #traditionalart #mushrooms #shaggyinkcap https://www.instagram.com/p/CZdv2uOOHC5/?utm_medium=tumblr

Day 3 of the #funguarychallenge ! Today's mushroom is the Destroying Angel or 𝘈𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘢 𝘷𝘪𝘳𝘰𝘴𝘢. This white mushroom may look harmless at first, but do not be fooled. This mushroom is one of the most toxic fungi species that exists. Be carefully when foraging for puffballs, when young, they a similar egg shape. — — — @feefal #funguary #art #watercolor #wetmedium #traditionalart #fungi #mushrooms https://www.instagram.com/p/CZiJCKqr0CR/?utm_medium=tumblr
