↳ "Sorry, Dad," he said. speaking cheerfully and breezily as was his habit no matter what the subject. "Not my fault this time. I was keeping guard over a corpse."
if you can't tell from my gifset reblagging, I just finished Why Didn't They Ask Evans? an Aggie Christie mystery adaptation by Britbox/ITV written & directed by Hugh Laurie yes that Hugh Laurie. excellent period outfits & cars, snappy dialogue, some excellent acting (Knocker / Johnathan Jules' "That is a SHIPMATE" speech!), fun cameos, typical Christie twists.
It's only three eps so it's an easy pick up. I have a 1080p torrent if anyone wants it. I still think the 2015 BBC And Then There Were None beats it in recent Aggie C adaptations overall, but that mostly just comes down to tone - this one isn't meant to be taken too seriously.
We’re, I don’t know, 20 minutes into Why Didn’t They Ask Evans? and the only thing I want is more of Bobby and Knocker singing more of Sally Brown etc. in harmony.
