Event Info

WHUMPTOBER is a month-long, prompt-based creation challenge (think: Inktober, but whumpier). There are 31 Official themes this year - one for each day of the month - which can be used, skipped, or combined in any way you’d like. They are meant to serve as inspiration without being taken literally (e.g. you don't have to include the exact wording into your work). Additionally, there are 3 prompts for each theme. These are optional suggestions and can be used in conjunction with the theme, or as options/alternatives. We want to give everyone as much creative freedom as possible, as well as increase event accessibility for folks with triggers and squicks.

Creators can PRODUCE work in any media they choose, including but not limited to: writing, visual artwork, and photo/video/audio edits. Creators can PARTICIPATE as much or as little as they want (i.e. you don’t have to do ALL the prompts if you don’t want to) and prompts can be used in any order. They are also free to use even after the event ends.

When uploading Whumptober content to your blog, be sure to tag the with:

Q. What kind of content can I make? Can it be NSFW?

This is a MIXED MEDIA event! You can write fic, post meta, doodle or paint, create a gif set or photo edit, link a song, or get crafty with video - anything goes. As for NSFW, make what you like, we just hope that you’ll tag your work accordingly so that others participating in the event can stay safe :)

Q. Do I have to do all 31 Days? Can I post early/late?

Participate as much or little as you like, and post whenever! Just be sure to tag your posts properly (ex. #no.11, #psych101). Combining prompts into one piece of work is okay, and posting late is as well so as long as it’s in October.

Q. What if I don’t understand a theme?

Send us an ask! We’re happy to help clarify. That said, the themes are entirely up for interpretation :)

Q. Can I combine Whumptober with other creation challenges?

Absolutely! That’s like shooting two whumpees with one bullet :)

Q. Can I upload/repost my whumptober content to other social media platforms?

Of course! We’ve created an AO3 Collection to archive any fics posted there. The archive can be accessed here. The blog is the official archive, so please respect the boundaries of any closeted whumpers in your social circle :)

Q. Can I use prompts to write a new chapter for an existing fic?

Yes

Q. An existing fic I am currently writing contains many of the Whumptober prompts, can I use it?

If you are actively writing this fic at the moment with the whumptober prompts in mind, yes. If it just conveniently checks the boxes, then please don’t. You can, however, add new chapters answering one or more of the prompts.

Q. What kind of characters can I write for?

Fandom characters, OC characters, human, furry, alien, cyborg, whoever you like.

Q. Can I use a prompt multiple times?

Yes, but it only counts once

Q. If I’m not comfortable with one day's prompts can I use a prompt of a different day as a substitute and still be a completionist?

Yes, but please do not use a specific prompt twice. We have also created an alternate prompts list that you can draw from [here].

Q. Where can I post my work?

Post where and how you want. You don’t even have to (cross)post it to Tumblr. Just keep in mind if it’s not on Tumblr we will not be able to add it to the blog archive.

Q. Can I start posting early?

You can, but this is an October event and wouldn’t it be more fun with everyone doing it at the same time? That being said, you can post early, but we won’t be reblogging any work predating October 1st.

Q. Do I have to finish a fic I started/can I post WIP’s.?

Yes you can post WIPs. And you’re not obligated to finish it in October for it to count towards being a completionist.

Q. Is co-writing allowed?

Yes, absolutely, and it would count towards being a completionist for both/all of you :)

Q. Do I have to create 31 standalone pieces to be considered a completionist or can I write one continuous story?

One continuous story is fine. The challenge is to write something for 31 prompts. If that’s spread over 31 fics or just one, you are still considered a completionist. (The same goes for every other media you choose.)

Q. Is there a min/max limit on word count?

There is no limit

Q. Can I combine prompts? Is there a limit on how many?

No limit and combine as many as you’d like.

Q. My interpretation of the prompt isn't whumpy at all, does that count?

No, sorry, but keep in mind that whump [see definition] is something very nuanced and different for everyone and emotional whump/angst is just as much part of it, as is physical whump and torture. So before you dismiss your idea, think about this.

Q. Can I start working on the prompts before October?

Absolutely! That’s why we posted the prompts a month in advance. We recognise how difficult it can be creating for 31 days in “real time”.

Hi I think your a really talented writer and I love your blog! I was wondering if you could help me with my oc, My question is how would someone deal with a whumpee that is constantly tortured and abused by the an evil super powerful villain leader/ruler and their army that has taken over the world so not much can be done to stop it , whumpee is extremely terrified and injured how would someone handle whumpee and their situation if they found them extremely injured like that, and if whumpee is terrified of medical stuff what care would need to be given to them and how would that caretaker go about helping them.

The whumpee is terrified of everything and everyone and cannot be rescued from the situation because the leader is one of the main abusers and has control of the world. So if she does try to leave she’s hunted down. And she doesn’t trust anyone easily anyways since everyone is trying to hurt her usually.

hullo friend!

this is going to be a "how crow writes whump" primer, starting from the big stuff and narrowing the scope. hope it's helpful, to you and maybe others too - anyway, here it is.

zooming out for a moment, to big-picture stuff. sometimes the most powerful stories can be made about situations that can't be fixed within the frame of the story being told (which is what it sounds like you'll be writing about). it's what I do a lot of, too - most of my characters both start and end their story in a hard place, but (in my way of seeing it, anyway) the art of the matter is finding out how to write small victories anyway.

maybe your whumpee is never going to be absolutely happy or safe, it sounds like the world is a very (understandably) dangerous place for them, and they have a lot of powerful enemies. what I would recommend would be to choose a few things that represent hope for them - whether that's getting information about their past, learning to take control of a special power or talent they have, saving and/or protecting someone who's important to them... so that even if and when they get captured again, or even if they're living in their friend's basement 24/7 trying to keep from being found by their abusers, they've done something worthwhile. it's all a matter of what you choose to frame as the narrative question.

sometimes the "win" for a character isn't everything is okay. sometimes it's wow, I can actually trust people when I thought I couldn't. or my old mentor didn't really betray me when I thought they did. or I learned how to make something beautiful, or I woke up this morning, again, when I thought I would never.

on the more specific level, I think you'd have a lot of freedom in terms of what kind of situations your character is dealing with. a few questions and notions that might be useful for writing traumatized/sad/untrusting characters and their caretakers, too:

- do they cope by internalizing or by externalizing their problems? in what directions? ie. the stoic who sits and hyper-analyzes everything they ever did "wrong" in their lives, or the loud emotional person who throws things at walls and makes sure the world knows what they've suffered?

- what level of compassion and empathy do they extend to other people who they don't necessarily understand? if they see someone in pain are they going to be soft and comforting, or tough-love, or blame them for their misfortune and ignore them? if someone does something they disagree with is this an instant problem, or are they more easy-going and forget about it?

- what level of self-awareness do they have, emotionally and mentally? can they recognize when they're spiraling, and name and express their emotions to people they trust, or do they have a hard time understanding how their situation affects them or distinguishing their feelings from objective reality?

just some concepts to think about for how your characters might interact with each other, and what conflicts even the "good guys" can have.

as for the physical and immediate elements of hurt/comfort, I will show my work and recommend this particular set of blog posts about medical and psychological topics: https://nielsenhayden.com/makinglight/archives/009176.html . the series on trauma (the physical emergency medical definition, which is more or less something immediately bad happened) is especially relevant. I go back there every time I have to figure out blood loss symptoms. written by an EMT, if I remember correctly.

(general content warnings for, well, death, blood, disaster situations and suchlike, and some sexual assault discussion in at least one post on the masterlist, but mentioned in the title - I have not read every post but the writers of the blog are sensible and respectful folk by all accounts. [ETA: the "related interest" post links underneath the medical ones have some rather disturbing stuff albeit kindly discussed.])

also, let's be real, there is always webmd. but mayoclinic is better and more detailed for most topics. great for figuring out diseases if you need to be like "so when do the symptoms of this actually show up?"

Hello! Sometimes I see you post stuff from IF blogs and I've recently started playing some IF games, which I've enjoyed so far. Do you have any IF stories you'd recommend in particular? I'm not attached to any particular genre and I don't need romance or a self-insert main character, (though I'm not opposed to either). Though, it's a definite plus if it's LGBTQ+ inclusive! I'm not really sure what the "cornerstones" are of IF so I'll take any and all recommendations haha

Oh god, I play so many IFs. So many. And it’s not even close to all of them, but I’m trying!!

Tbh IFs without romance seems to be very rare, I think because when I think IF I think Choice of Games, and those pretty much always have romance in them. At least, the most well known ones do. But a well done one without romance would be nice too!

Okay, this is a list of my favourites! They’re all LGBT+ inclusive, and most have gender selectable love interests, or at least ones that change gender depending on the gender and sexuality combination you pick. In no particular order, of course. Behind a cut because I’m gonna give them each a mini review. Because I haven’t done that yet.

(There are so many.)

Mind Blind: I absolutely love our big brother Nick, I love how witty and sharp so much of the dialogue is, I love how the MC clearly has a rather large handicap, but is still such an important person to so many people and not looked down on in the slightest. And when they are, we all know it’s because that person is a jerk! They’re not defined by what they aren’t, but what they are, and that’s a great message.

Shepherds of Haven: Part of why I love this one so much is I just love fantasy settings and this one just pulls it off so well. The cast is full of amazing characters, and I gotta say I die inside pretty regularly for not being able to afford the patreon content, lol. The author puts so much amazing stuff on there, and gives us so much great content in the game and through answers on tumblr, and you can tell this whole thing is just the best thing ever to them, and that makes it the best ever for us readers too!

The Wayhaven Chronicles: I’d be shot if I didn’t mention this one, the series that literally killed dashingdon when the book 3 demo dropped!! Again, another author that cares a lot and does their best to do right by their fans. We’ve been given drip after drip of these amazing characters backstories, and I just cannot wait for more! It’s definitely very romance centered, but the overall plotlines are also very good, and I have to say that no matter who I romance, I just feel like the group as a whole is a family. And that’s wonderful.

Speaker: I really like the lore. I really like the lore. I can’t wait until we get more of the overall plotline. Mostly I want my Speaker to get in deep trouble so Seb, Li and Seer (best sister ever) go off and beat the shit out of whatever is causing it. This probably says something about me, but what can I say, I thrive on angst and inflicting near death injuries on my OCs. Sometimes I even kill them, although all of this is offtopic. Or is it? I guess we’ll find out, although I doubt we’ll actually be able to kill off Speaker. And yes, I am definitely playing the Seb & Li poly route. I love them both so much.

Wilhelmina: I love vampires, ok? Ok? And this one is based off Dracula!! The OG!! And you can choose Drac’s gender!! Shit, sign me up forever!! Yeah, she might be literally killing my bff, torturing my fiancé and low key fucking with my mind, but vampires are hot!! Let me live! Or not. But yeah, this is a really well done retelling of the Dracula novel and I like how well it works as an IF. Did I mention I like vampires?? Especially when they get all monstery?? (This one has an MC with a set gender, as it’s based on an already existing literary figure. Mina can have a same sex relationship with dracula, if you make drac a female, or with Lucy, a female love interest.)

More Things in Heaven and Earth: Hi Nell!! First off, I gotta uncover a deep shame of mine. My family literally has a Shakespeare heirloom collection. As in, my greatgrandfather passed down through the family a collection of Shakespeare that was published in 1911. In ye olde englishe. I tried to read it when I was like 10 and was like what language is this?? What the fuck? What the fuck??? And ended up reading As You Like It, a bit of Romeo and Juliet, and a little of Hamlet. Didn’t touch the rest of it. I only got into the other stories through trashy ya reimaginings. That said, this retelling of Hamlet inspired me to go read the whole of the original and now I have a lot of fears for these characters that I’m so much more attached to, oh god I hope my Ophelia has a happy ending. I hope Hamlet himself has a happy ending. The dialogue is so well done, everyone is engaging, and yeah it made me finish an old af book when nothing else did. (This one also has an MC with a set gender, female, for the same reason. However, there are two gender variable love interests, so you can very much play a bi or gay Ophelia if you so choose.)

Guenevere: I love King Arthur. All the myths. I have so many books based on the King Arthur mythos, oh dear god. I love pretty much every version of it. All the movie and tv shows too! I just can’t get enough of those knights. I could go on for paragraphs about how courtly love worked and how all the different social castes were, but I’ll try not to. This series lets you customize Guen as a character to an amazing degree, considering that she’s also based on an actual literary figure like the other two I mentioned above. It really feels like she becomes your own character, and yet she still exists within this world very very well. I worry quite a bit that the author might have bit off more than they can chew with the current book they’re working on, what I’ve seen of it looks absolutely massive in scale. What is out so far is a wonderful read though, full of drama and laughter and lots of chances to make the story your own.

Bastard of Camelot: Yep! Another King Arthur series! Sue me! This one lets you set Mordred’s gender though, so it’s more inclusive in that way. It is very interesting to play as one of the “bad guys” of the King Arthur mythos. You can play them as straight up evil, as good, or you know, a bit of column a and a bit of column b. Or they can just be a rude little shit. It’s got dragons too! You get a dragon pet! Dragons are cool. It can be a bit tough to play sometimes, since a lot of people dislike Mordred quite a lot because of prejudices. Hopefully this will change a bit later in the series if you’ve been a fairly good person up to that point. Gotta say though, as a warning, that Mordred is a product of incest. It’s not glossed over, and it does cause a lot of problems for them in the story.

God of the Red Mountain: I just love that this inspired me to read more chinese mythology tbh. There is just so much here! And it’s just such a good read. I wish I was better at describing things. The MC being a spirit that you can define, the whole setting, most of the love interests also being spirits, the massive amount of history and culture and lore, how it all fits together. It is such a well done story. I really wish it got more attention than it does. I still miss Big Sister. I still can’t wait to find out more about the foxes, and how we can heal our MC.

The Nameless: Another one that lets you play as something otherworldly. I love the lore behind this one, and I love all of the cast I’ve met. I kind of like that our MC isn’t loved right off the bat, that we’ll have to win over all of our love interests and even the other npcs. I’m up for the challenge! Everything I’ve read on the tumblr for these characters just makes me love them all more tbh. I love how much they’ve written for all of them! Most of all though, I love Oisein. All the art of them is just *chef kiss* and their personality is magical.

A Mage Reborn: This is a really recent one but!! Wow, it’s really well done! That cliffhanger!! Oof!! Not many books literally start with killing your MC off! That takes guts! I told the author this already, but I love the way they formatted this, the way it starts with the end, so to speak, and then fills it all out. It just made everything feel so poignant, how MC is literally looking back at all these moments in time in the last minutes they have before they die. Shit. That’s powerful. And there’s gonna be more??? Can’t wait for that angst. Give me that drama. Of course I picked the one who had me killed, that’s just how I am!

These are all just the COG type games, there are a few twine games with graphics I’d throw on here, but the list is long enough as it is and they feel like they’re in a different category to me. Maybe it’s just me?

1. How many do you have on Ao3? Well, just five on AO3. Including the short fics on Tumblr, I've written 22. I've never counted them before!! I'm a relatively new writer, started in late 2019 aaand I'm in my thirties lmao.

2. What’s your total Ao3 word count? I've also never counted this! Ok, gotta do some math... current tally is 176,493.

3. How many fandoms have you written for and what are they? Just one! I hyperfixate like nobody's business lmao. Joker fandom, Ledger in Nolan's The Dark Knight.

5. Do you respond to comments, why or why not? Yes! I think I've responded to all of them! Although, it can take me awhile to get to it. Comments make me SO damn happy and they seriously mean so much to me. They are my main motivation. Whenever I'm brainstorming, I always think about my readers and what they might like. I can't help but respond. Especially to readers I hear from on every chapter 🥺 my heart is melting just thinking about it. 😭💖

6. What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?

Ahhh well, that has yet to be written. 👀

7. Do you write crossovers? Nah, that's not my jam. AUs... now that's my jam.

8. Have you ever received hate on a fic? Once... I think. It was a really weird comment that I determined was likely making fun of me and they sure went out of their way to say... something, I can't even remember what they said, great job being memorable.

9. Do you write smut? If so what kind? Absolutely! Well, define what kind. I write OC and reader point of view for kinks, a little BDSM, dark and dangerous, hot and heavy, slow and torturous, the occasional fluffy stuff, but always consensual adults.

10. Have you ever had a fic stolen? Not that I'm aware of.

11. Have you ever had a fic translated? Not that I'm aware of, but that'd be so cool!

12. Have you ever co-written a fic before? Sorta! I'd love to do more!! Hit me up!

13. What is your all time favorite ship? Ledger Joker x reader/OC because I'm a giant nerd.

14. What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will? I got a few comments expressing interest in a second part to Something Different but it keeps slipping my mind!

15. What are your writing strengths? Ah, well, shameless brag! I think I'm rather good at creating a good image of the setting in which everything is taking place as well as imagery in general. I also looove dialogue and I think that's one of my strong points.

16. What are your writing weaknesses? I think one of my strengths is also a downfall. I spend an unreal amount of time getting my wording perfect to make sure everything comes out the way I want it too. I also have written myself into a corner with plot points that I didn't plan ahead of time. 😂

17. What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic? Wow, that is actually something I've never thought about before and it's an incredible idea! Difficult to do since I'm not multi-lingual but I'm rather determined to do this. 👀👀

18. What was the first fandom you wrote for? First and only answered in number 3.

Hi!

I’m Remmie. You may know me from my main blog (remmieismyname) or you may have just stumbled upon this jewel. Either way, welcome!

This blog is for my own OC universe, named “The Drink Universe”. I developed the first pieces of the universe in June of 2018 and it has since grown to be a big passion project of mine (whenever I find the time). I have plans to either turn my ideas into a series of books or maybe a TV show; you’ll just have to stick around to see. I hope you fall in love with these characters as I have in the past two years. These are my babies; treat them with kindness, please.

Now onto the bigger, more important questions.

- What’s “The Drink Universe” all about?

It primarily follows the four lives of four very different characters: Camila Flores, Lillian Park, Ely Fey, and Jeremiah Midlin.

Camila Flores (she/her) comes from a large family background as the more overshadowed middle child. However, it doesn’t bother her, as long as her family is content with her and her accomplishments (if there are any). She struggles with who she is (bisexual and maybe, just maybe in love with her best friend) and how people see her. The idea of the future terrifies her as she worries she will never live life to its fullest. She makes sure to hide her fears in favor of keeping those she cares about happy; since that is top priority.

Lillian Park (she/her) has always known where she is going. The future gave her the greatest hope and served as the largest motivator for her success. However, she can never anticipate when a roadblock with appear to knock her off the path; a terrible father, unknown family lineage, a suddenly absent best friend, lack of support, and so on. The surprises only add more weight to her bleeding shoulders and waning spirit, but she refuses to let it stop her. Hitting the surprises with her own curveballs, she knows she can beat the world that tried to destroy her.

Ely Fey (they/them) has never known who they are. Adopted by their maternal uncle, they were shoved behind two overbearing cousins dedicated to the arts. They walked the world alone and always seemed to walk in the shadows. Not that it bothered them; it was home to them. However, upon being shined on by the spotlight of other tortured souls, they start to search. Music draws the soul they can’t seem to show the world out. Leaving the sudden spolight behind, they find a new spotlight, hoping to finally understand just where they belong.

Jeremiah Midlin (he/him) comes from a perfect family. An assorted Disney movie breakfast every morning, fridge covered in years of children’s drawings, the halls covered in scheduled family portraits kind of family. He has always been within the reaches of his parents’ attention, but always just out of reach. His sisters are academic scholars and extracurriculars, while he only has his football and music. Football is the only known to his family. He hates lying, but it’s all he can do to not fall behind, left forgotten. Music gives him the outlet to tell all his secrets in the form of strong melodies and soft bellows of an acoustic guitar. Secrets he hopes to share in his own spotlight.

Complex? Maybe. Do I suck at summaries? I think I do, but that’s up to you.

No seriously, this blog will be me reblogging prompts, quotes, or funny scenarios that I think fit my characters or universe in general. This will also consist of my random 3 A.M brainstorms and thoughts, so be prepared for that.

Actual storybuilding!

Hah! Surprise! I will also post character notes, drabbles, and world designs. These will hopefully reveal more about this strange, strange universe I have created and nurtured. I take constructive criticism and highly invite it.

*Forewarning, since I do not have the time and skillset to draw, you will see me use the Sims 4 or other platforms like Picrew to create character models and world designs. I need the visuals to create the world. Do not clown me, please.*

- Give me more backstory.

Okay fine, pushy. This universe started at around 7 A.M on a cold June day, maybe 30 minutes before my Geometry summer class was going to start. It’s funny to say and admit that this could have very well been a Klance fanfiction, but I didn’t know how to write the two characters. We said make your own!

I thought of the first plot draft, which dealt primarily with body confidence and being proud of who you are, along with the first two characters. They were unnamed at the time but over the next week they earned the names Camila and Lillian. I made their first character models and soon had a double conflict plot. Over the next couple months of 2018, I added small details and bigger subplots, such as Jeremiah (yes he was a subplot at some point; he evolved). I drew Ely on accident in my Chemistry Honors notebook, and just gave them main character status. I was chaotic and thriving. Especially when I spent 3 straight hours creating a 16 person family tree for just one character. Yeah, I did that.

Now, literally 2 years later, the small idea has turned into an entire universe. There are around 70+ characters with their own (not extremely detailed but almost too detailed for side character status) backstories and conflicts. The timeline spans over several decades, which means many stories to tell. The main four have grown and evolved to having their own character summaries! Improvement! Wow!

There is still more to be created within the universe but you’ll get to see it develop before your eyes from now on. Good for you!

- Why drinks?

There are two main “drinks” in the universe: Pink Lemonade and Raspberry Iced Tea. Pink Lemonade explores the lives of Camila Flores and Lillian Park. Raspberry Iced Tea explores the lives of Ely Fey and Jeremiah Midlin. There are many more “drinks” I have thought of in the time period since it’s creation but these two are the two that will show up the most often on this blog. You could say the “drinks” are like metaphors for the lives you unfold. Gulp it down baby!

(Ok, so I wrote out this super-long message but wifi died when I was submitting it. Tumblr told me I’d lost connection so I’m pretty sure it didn’t reach you.

Yep. Ishida’s Back.

I’m honestly not too sure how I feel about this pregnancy though. On one hand, since I never really cared too much about Touka I don’t think I’m going to have a hard time caring for this kid, even if they ARE also Kaneki’s child. I also think this wasn’t really necessary and I don’t want drama between Touken and other ghouls over the child- I want the plot to move forward and to get some questions answered…

However, it is really interesting how this parallels with other parents throughout TG’s story. Touken right now reflects the Yoshimura-Ukina-Eto dynamic, and I’m pretty sure the Touken child is meant to connect to Eto.

See, what I’m thinking about is that TG’s parents have a history of abandoning their children in favor of their ideals, even if they don’t always mean to do so. We have Mado, who was blinded by his black-and-white worldview and ended up dead, Arata, who sacrificed so much for his children that in the end he couldn’t even stay with them, Yoshimura, who left his daughter behind to create Anteiku (no matter if he meant well, it still affected Eto in a negative way and Yoshimura’s actions could be seen as partially selfish; he never considered how Eto would feel about this situation, after all), Kaneki’s mother, who was unable to choose between her child and her sister, and Kaneki himself could also count, having completely abandoned the Qs the moment Arima and Eto gave him the title of ‘One-eyed King’.

The only non-background-character who was actually a good parent is Shachi, I think.

So the question is: will Touken (Kaneki really, Touka seems to have made up her mind completely about this) be able to break this cycle? Will Kaneki choose his child like he wanted his mother to choose him over his aunt? Or will this child become motivation for him? (he’s never been the best candidate for the OEK after all, and he basically admitted to Amon and Seidou that he’s seriously depressed and just doesn’t care)

I’m also curious: pregnancies take a few months, y'know. I sincerely hope there won’t be a time skip. Or a miscarriage, because not only would that be too much for Kaneki and Touka, it would also be bad for the plot (why make Touka pregnant in the first place then?). Maybe the baby will be born in an epilogue or the last chapter. Maybe Kaneki and Touka will die, this kid will become the new OEK and Ishida will make a third TG series. Idk.

Wow, I didn’t intend to make such a long rant ^^;;

I think Thor’s new hairstyle looks cool (sorry Queen Luna) but yeah, it does also look a bit weird on him. Like, now I can’t look at him and think 'oh that’s the god of thunder’, I just think of Chris Hemsworth lol

Even after all that’s happened in canon, I still feel like Blackhawk have a deep bond and understand each other in a way the rest of the team can’t.

I feel like the fact that Sharon is Peggy’s niece alone makes it a 'NO’ ship XD the lack of development for both the relationship and Sharon as a character just added to that.

As for Loki…ah, well. If he wasn't such a jerk he wouldn’t be Loki.

Oh that sounds really cool :D And well, like I said above. It’s Loki. What can you do.

Haha, thanks ^^ I was obsessed with Bucky’s costume for a while after Winter Soldier. I literally had never heard of Captain America up until then so I didn’t even care about him (sorry Steve…do you still ship me with him? lol). I might actually have had a crush on Bucky at the time. Idk. I was nine(?).

I will drag you into Remember This Cold hell no matter what. It is my MISSION. I WILL make you have feels about Loki’s kitty (Steve got him a cat because he thought he might be lonely). I WILL make you sob over Loki’s redemption arc and his reaction when anyone dares to lay a finger on Steve (SPOILER: when he thinks Steve is dead he teams up with Bucky and absolutely destroys Hydra. When he and Steve are captured and tortured for information he threatens to cut open his own veins and summon a beast with the blood to destroy them all…he’s completely serious about that. One of the major things Steve has to help him with is how he gets desperate and suicidal whenever he thinks he might lose Steve).

Oh, so you won’t talk about Kanae, huh?

Imagine this is Matsumae teaching Kanae about kagune usage and what it means to be a servant of the Tsukiyama family. For bonus angst, imagine that the slip-ups ('do it for her- that is to say, you do it for him’) are Matsumae talking about the late Mrs. Tsukiyama (HC that Matsumae was around when Shuu’s mom was alive, though I guess that’s unlikely considering her age…shush. Just ignore it for the angst.)

And then most of 'It’s Over, Isn’t It’ is from Kanae to Sasaki/Kaneki, of course, but then imagine that the chorus ('And she chose you, and she loved you, and she’s gone- it’s over, isn’t it? Why can’t I move on?’) is like a duet between Kanae and Shuu. Kanae’s pining over Shuu, of course, but Shuu’s POV is after Kanae’s death (referring to himself as 'you’).

I haven’t watched FMA but I know quite a bit about it (the Roy rain jokes are the best lol)…we actually talked on your FMA blog once ^^ And I’m excited to hear about any of Queen Luna’s OCs! Oh, all four of those are lovely! I feel like the girl with the yellow hat (top row, left) has the most icon-ish look, if that makes sense? She also reminds of Queen Luna a little bit, idk why XD but that’s just my opinion, all four of those characters would make beautiful icons <3

The pregnancy is as out of place as that chapter (once again avoiding pervy words hahah). But... if Kaneki’s a ghoul (halfway) and Touka is a full ghoul, why does the baby need human food? I’m gonna assume Kaneki is the dad because I don’t want to think about the other options.

I, too, think that the ghoul eating human food/human eating ghoul food for the baby to survive is a parallel for Eto, but we all know how that ended, so idk how i feel about it. Maybe the baby will be a cute and healthy kid who’ll live a nice childhood? Hopefully? Pls let me hope.

AS FOR KANAE

That’s my feeling about everything.

Well, my music taste isn’t quite definable by ‘likes this artist’ or anything, because it’s mostly a ‘I’m browsing youtube and I like this song, so i’ll download it’ one. So Still Sane just happens to be there. As for Fallout Boy and Marina, I do have quite a lot of their songs there ^^ But, generally speaking, most of my songs that aren’t idol songs ?uncomfortable cough* tend to go in the rock direction. Sometimes remixes and sometimes songs no one ever heard about, like Texas by Magic Man or Change My Life from Ashes Remain. Also, Holy by Zolita, although I mostly like that song because it’s so different from most songs nowadays. It’s a bit weird, though.

I really, really want to see all your OCs, especially the TG one that suffers a lot :))

Oh god, here’s my most embarrassing one, the FMA one:

Kk, her name’s Arya, she’s an alchemist (of course) and depending on how I felt at the moment, she was either shipped with Roy or Ed. Most of the time, it was Roy, so the info I wrote down was based on that. Is the cliche ‘sarcastic, but actually a huge softie’ character with right about 0 character flaws, other than being stubborn (’But it also helps when she’s suspicious about the homonculi!’). Now, this isn’t so bad. But here’s the best part. She has a stepdad (bc no oc can have a normal, fully functioning family) that tried to ‘merge her with a wolf, giving her enhanced senses and strength and making her hair white + eyes purple’. I still cringe when I think about her. Literal nightmares.

Then we have a soul eater one, where the girl is both a meister and a weapon (which is, by the way, impossible by the laws of that universe, since the souls of the two types differ greatly) AND a witch to top it off.

Thankfully, I never went too far with the looks, the white hair + purple eyes was as far as I went, but I knew to change it to normal (or try to make an excuse *coughwolfcough* if the universe was one where the colours were mostly normal. And I never gave them DDD+ boobies.

As for the newer ones, I don’t have many, but from the fandoms we share, I have 1 for YoI and 1 for MCU (this one was created yesterday :P )

The YoI one’s name is Nara and she’s a skater from Detroit, therefore Yuuri and Phichit’s rinkmate. Honestly, she’s not that talented at skating, but she does try to make up for it by practicing a lot. However, she doesn’t magically get better and lands 1st place, she’s content doing her best and just participating in the competitions, since she has a secondary job.

The MCU one’s a bit more mary sueish, but that’s what makes it fun. Kya, her power is ‘manipulating’ animals (well, not manipulating, it’s more along the lines of ‘animals like her and listen to her) and in extreme cases (when she gets very emotional), human manipulation (technically, humans are animals). When she was small, she was experimented on, granting her the powers. However, the faculty was attacked, allowing her to escape. She tried to live a normal life and was actually succeeding, but then Loki attacked New York and lo and behold, she actually managed to do some hero work, so the avengers were like ‘we’re not recruiting you, but you could be useful in the future so we’ll keep an eye on you’. That’s as far as I got, but I do plan on expanding a bit. Also, probably predictable, but Loki is her love interest ^^;;;;;;

Alrighty, seems like that’ll be my icon ^^ I’ll probably change the general colour scheme of the blog, so don’t be surprised if everything’s different the next time you visit :P The name definitely stays the same, though.

As for the ‘she reminds you of me’, you couldn’t be more right ^^;;; In the whole Love Live series, she’s the most similar to me looks wise, but also personality wise. A quiet bookworm who’s fine staying in the library whole day hahah I always cry during her character arc, because I relate waaay too much ;-;

Also, completely random, but I’m listening to ‘Merry Go Round of Life’ from Howl’s Moving Castle as I write this and it would actually make a pretty nice waltz song...

RP Methods I am comfortable doing:

im: Chat with me on im or on skype (ask for it) if you wanna! We can like plot or just simply chat~

Asks: I’ve done a few rp’s where they just continue through with asks. If you prefer that, we can do that. ^^

Skype:I used to rp more on skype, but I don’t really know with how skype is just...non-functional. I can use it to rp though.

Google Docs: I’m okay with this if you wanna go for that. Most likely if it’s NSFW, i’d opt for docs because of reasons.

OOC/Headcanoning/RP Planning Methods

I love to just talk about HC’s and I also just love to plot. I’m very okay with simply winging things as well.

im: Feel free to hit me up on im if you just wanna plot or HC with me. I’m totes mcGoats okay with that.

Asks: I personally do prefer asks because it’s a lot easier for me to hunt through for past conversations rather than on im where I have to scroll forever.

One on one RP’s: These are the easiest for me to work with for obvious of reasons. Much easier for me to keep track of where the thread is and whose turn it is to reply.

. RP Style I am all right with:

Lit/para: This is basically my default and I love it. This is the easiest for me and so i’m very much down with that.

1-3 lines: If you wish for shorter threads, I can do this. For shorter threads, I try to match the best I can. For longer threads, I tend to just write however much feels right to me. ;;;;

[text]: I can do these, though I tend to make them a bit on the long side eventually. OTL

Post Length

I usually write about:

1-3 Pragraphs: I do try to stick within this range if I know people are most comfortable with this range.

3-10 paragraphs: This is normally when I get a bit carried away because super duper excited and I wasn’t asked to stay within a certain paragraph limit so whooo!!!!!!

PAGES: I really really really try to not get so long that it takes up pages in microsoft word, but it does happen. Normally for angst threads or AU threads. //coughs. I get uh... really excited sometimes

I usually reply:

Within minutes: If i’m online and the thread is relatively short and so I can crank out a reply in no time.

Within a day: Probably got to replying after I get back from work. I have a full time job that I work from 8-5 so during that time frame, I can check the blog during breaks but I can’t reply.

Within the same week: If it ever takes me longer than 48 hours to reply, I either just took a break, i’m feeling lazy, or it took me that long to realize I never replied.

Within a month: I’m probably either very busy, I’m being lazy because ‘oh wow such a long thread... maybe tomorrow’ and the cycle repeats. || ‘Oh snap! I thought I replied to this! OMG OMG OMG SO SORRY!’

Longer than a month: I probably am being lazy and lost my motivation. Most likely the reply is hella long and i’m just trying to recharge myself. || ‘It’s my turn? WUT? I thought it was yours! OMG SO SORRY!!!!’

Sporadic: I’m probably just doing all kinds of stuff so don’t be surprised if I’m real active, suddenly disappear, and then get real active again. I do that.

I expect my partner to reply:

Dude, you do you boo: I understand you can lose muse for a thread, or that you just lose muse in general. I also totally understand that people have busy lives. Just reply whenever you feel up for it. I’ll wait however long you need to.

Within 2 years: I’ve waited a year for a reply before and I was totally okay with it. 2 years is pushing it a bit as i’m likely to forget a lot of stuff, but I’ll just re-read the thread if it comes to that.

Role-play Requests

I expect my RP partner to:

Have read my rules.

Use punctuation marks: At the very least use “” if you won’t be using any punctuation. You don’t have to have perfect grammar or whatever, because even I struggle with it, but at LEAST add paragraph breaks and quotation marks, otherwise i’ll struggle super hard.

My Activity: Understand that I work full-time so I can’t reply during work hours. Sometimes I get tired after work and am not feeling up to replying after I return. I also have a shitty sleeping schedule. Understand that I can’t rp 24/7. I will at least try to reply within 48 hours if I can. If you can’t respect that, I don’t think we can rp together.

Romantic Relationships

** Important: Communication is the key to a real life relationship, it shouldn't be abandoned for a fictional on either! Be sure to talk to your partners when considering romance! Shipping I am comfortable shipping my characters:

With chemistry: I need to feel a ‘vibe’ between the two characters. Like something in my gut that tells me they’ll work together well. If I don’t feel it, I can’t force myself into shipping with anyone. I cannot just jump into a ship. I personally can’t do that and Haru wouldn’t appreciate it. Unless I feel the two characters can get along well, I won’t ship wit anyone.

With considerable interaction: I will not ship with anyone after just having one thread with them. I personally prefer a gradual build up. I need there to be a good amount of interaction between the muses for me to gauge how well I think they can be together.

AU: If it’s for the sake of an AU, then i’m okay with shipping then, but I won’t consider it a canon ship of the blog. If you’d like for it to be, discuss it with me.

If you want to ship with my characters:

Interaction/chemistry: Ensure there is a decent amount of interaction between our muses and for there to be chemistry between them.

Ask: Just ask me how I feel about shipping and i’ll give you the honest truth.

HC’s/Angst: Understand that shipping with me means that I WILL throw HC’s at you left and right. I do not stop. I am a tornado of random ideas and I WILL BURY YOU WITH THEM. I will probably also throw angst at you because it FUELS MY VERY SOUL. If you don’t like angst, I will refrain.

- Abuse/toxic: I absolutely do not condone this and cannot and WILL NOT do this. I’ve had my own experiences with different kinds of abuse or toxic friendships, so I cannot handle these on any level. They really bother me and scare me. If you want a toxic relationship, I am not your gal.

Violence: I mean, this is the KHR-verse. It’s bound to happen. I’m sorry to say that i’m not very good at writing out action and violence. OTL
