DENMARK

matthias honestly see's his darlings insecurity as fishing for compliments - normally he would shower them in verbal affection, especially if asked, but assuming that this is just after getting caught trying to escape, he's a bit pissed. "i don't know, i could probably find someone better couldn't i" yes this little shit is using his darlings moment of self consciousness as manipulative ammunition.

his darling is probably crushed at his words, matthias feels a bit bad seeing how their face falls, but it's for the best. if things go as planned, his darling will start to put more effort into the 'relationship', and stops trying to escape.

or his darling could completely shy away from him after hearing his words, smart decision, darling, if he see's how dejected they are, matthias is going to feel really bad.

he didn't mean it, min elskede!, he was just in a bad mood, it's like when you're feeling insecure and try to up and leave!. please forgive him.

it's best not to drag this out any further, and take the apology and pampering, lest matthias starts to think his darling is attempting to manipulate him, and believe me, you do not want to entirely loose his trust.

NORWAY

lukas wonders the exact same thing sometimes. he really tried to shake his obsession, it's not like he wants to be so attached to his darling but he is.

he doesn't answer his darling initially, too busy enchanting the basement to keep them from trying to escape again. this likely puts his already distressed darling on the edge, and might lead them to think he's decided to dispose of them when he doesn't come and visit for the next week.

the darlings words linger in lukas's mind; if he hadn't already kidnapped them, he might have tried to distance himself from them and focus on his responsibilities as a big brother and a country (to no avail), but he can't risk his darling going off and telling everyone about what he had done, so, in that week he decides to put his darling out of their misery.

finally, after a week, he re-emerges into the basement, with a tray of food in his hands, his darling is soiled and starving at this point, so they don't fight back when he hand feeds them the love potion infused fiskesuppe.

FINLAND

tino's heart just about breaks upon hearing his darlings words - it all makes sense now! his darling does love him, they just struggle with insecurities, that he clearly desperately needs to address.

so, if his darling doesn't like physical affection, verbal affection or being smothered, they just made the stupidest decision of their life; tino now dedicates his days to boosting his darlings self esteem. best to go along with his self love boot cam, he'll forget all previous grievances.

but assuming 10 hours of standing naked in front of a mirror complimenting themselves just creeps them out, and they still want to escape from tino's clutches; they once again try to leave when the chance presents itself.

finland goes absolutely insane, no one can calm him down when he realises his darling isn't home when he returns from the latest world meeting - after all he did for them? were they even being sincere or was it all another ploy to escape?! throw all previous trust out the window, once he gets his darling back he's going full tiger mum.

SWEDEN

"who made you think this" berwalds instantly ready to throw hands, start a war, go viking mode. it's simply incomprehensible to him that his darling doesn't adore themselves as much as he adores them.

it must be someone's elses poisonous words corrupting his darling self image, probably denmark, or maybe prussia, germany and austria, or it could be-

if berwald hadn't kidnapped his darling yet, expect to wake up in his house the next morning - clearly his darling is being horridly abused by the people they surround themselves with to think that they aren't worthy of love.

whilst he wasn't planning on pursuing a romantic relationship with his darling, and was content in his position as their guardian angel, if it's what he thinks they need, he'll do whatever he must to ensure their wellbeing.

ICELAND

here we have the angsty teenager, who immediately takes it as his darling mocking him. fine! be that way, he didn't even like them that much to begin with (lies). once he realises how immature he's being, he panics.

did he just ruin his entire relationship with his darling over his own insecurity? emil screams into his pillow when it occurs to him that his darling was being sincere. even if they weren't, he couldn't stay away from them for that long. if he wasn't already stalking them, he's picked up the habit now: they hate him so how else is he to get his fill of them?.

after a few months of being estranged, emil works up the courage to make amends. but it isn't the same, his beloved is on edge, they don't trust him like they used to. it drives him to absolute insanity loosing the closeness he once had with his darling.

he doesn't sleep, he doesn't eat, he just follows and watches them in a desperate attempt to get close to them again.

eventually, his brothers get concerned, lukas can't stand to see his baby brother so distressed, so he does what all good brothers do and puts icelands darling under a love potion. to emils horror. at first he thinks they've come around, but is quick to become suspicious of the sudden affection he's receiving.

emil will demand lukas undo the love potion, when his darling is back to their senses he's so embarrassed, he stutters apologies, as the door opens.

norway walks in with a suitcase, "here's all their stuff" "WHAT"

isn't norway a great big brother kidnapping icelands darling for him.

GREENLAND

way to reinforce kunuk's belief that he and his darling are soulmates, reader. just when he thinks his darling can't get any more perfect for him, they say this. it's kinda disturbing to see the heart eyes he gives them as they pour out their heart to him, probably sobbing too.

he immediately counters with his own belief that he isn't good enough for his darling, but he loves them so much that he's gotten past that to bring them together (kidnap them).

if anything his darling made him more attached to them, he goes from being attached at the hip with them to being their conjoined twin; if kunuk wasn't open with them before, he sure as hell is now. if he was, all boundries between him and his darling fade at this point.

kunuk also uses his darlings insecurity as a way to isolate them from others; no one understands them like he does, as no one understands him as they do, so what's the point of going to america's birthday bash when he and his darling could stay home and cuddle?

They start off slowly and they begin their drive putting their hunting territories where you live, they begin to make you aware you're in their territory and once they catch you they will use the territory terms to their advantage. Magnus usually shows his affection with physical actions. Kisses, hugs, carrying you around, and anything like this, just to be able to both hold you close to him and to show off how strong and protective he is.

Aph Finland - Tino Väinämöinen

Tino is a physically affectionate person. He isn't as pushy as Magnus, but he always will try and at least give you a little bit of affection whenever he can or you ask him for something.

Yandere Finland, Sweden, and Austria headcanons?

Finland | Tino Väinämöinen

It doesn’t take him long to figure out that his feelings are a little abnormal. However, he ignores the more intense feelings that he has so he can focus on having a semi-normal relationship with his darling. Tino is one of the very rare yandere’s that doesn’t resort to kidnapping his darling immediately or even after they reject him. He’ll be with them, they try to leave, and he forces them to stay with him.

Unusual maybe, but he doesn’t get jealous very easily. His yandere tendencies focus on his darlings safety and them staying with him. Tino doesn’t see other people as obstacles because he knows how charming and cute he is. That being said, Tino doesn’t outright kill people his darling is friends with. This doesn’t mean it never happens, it’s just very rare. He just stops his darling from being in a relationship of the romantic sort.

Sweden | Berwald Oxenstierna

Stoic as he is, Berwald is downright scary. He’s a very protective person when it comes to his darling, and he’ll intimidate them if it means they can be kept safe. He doesn’t like scaring his darling as a means of getting them to listen to him, but if Berwald believes that it’s necessary, he’ll do it. That being said, Berwald craves a normal relationship with his darling, however, he knows that it’s almost impossible.

He kidnaps his darling, but it takes him quite awhile to do so. He doesn’t want to deprive them of their freedom, but again, if it’s necessary by his standards he’ll happily do it. He isn’t delusional, not by any means, but it soon becomes necessary for Berwald to lie to himself while in the process of taking his darling. Otherwise, he wouldn’t be able to go through with it. When his darling wakes up tied to his bed he just kind of stares at them with a guilty look in his eyes. He feels bad.

Austria | Roderich Edelstein

He’s smart when it comes to aquiring his darling. Roderich doesn’t want to put much force into his effort to get them, he doesn’t want to seem like a brute to his precious darling, instead he slowly wedges his way into their life... whether they like it or not. Will constantly guilt-trip them, telling his darling about how miserably lonely he is without their wonderful company. Roderich is no fool, his process is slow, but he locks them in, no doubt.

This should probably be obvious, but he most likely forces his darling into marriage or something similar like that. It’s the ultimate sign of belonging to someone, or at least he thinks so. He’s not France, he’s not going to pretend it’s a calendar or something like that. No. He’s going to make his intentions very clear to his darling once he pulls out his marriage form. He’s like: you’re going to marry me whether you like it or not. Roderich really isn’t that bad if you can get over his ever so present possessiveness.

Out of the Nordics, Norway, and Iceland would be torn between wanting to respect your power and neutrality, but Denmark, Sweden, and Finland would want to make you submit or rely on them fully, knowing the world is no place for you to be in and your better off in their care. Though in the beginning they all would come together to take the easy approach ‘nicely’ in trying to have open trade between all of y’all’s countries and becoming allies with each other.

They would be more lax with trade and opening more opportunities for your people in their country, having it either be easier to become citizens or for your businesses being open in their homes. Though you choosing not to support them in return would tik them off, Denmark and Sweden being upset the most, either from betrayal, lack of respect for them, or false friendships. Respect goes both ways and it seems like common knowledge if someone does a good deed for you, you return it in full.

With seeing how you don’t have any allies of your own (not wanting to be dragged into a petty war by an ally), solely relying on how generous other countries are to you and the sheer power and resources you have on your own. They would see you thinking this way to be childish in the least and feel the need to try and get you to see why you needed allies, how they do this is questionable, but it would be efficient. They would take the opportunity to start spreading false rumors about your country being greedy and selfish, not paying full share in return for their goods. This would cause some of your potential allies to cut ties with you as tensions rise between in your country due to these rumors gaining media attention.

Now the Nordics themselves have allies of themselves along with being allies with each other, so no matter what they can always rely on each other, the same can’t be said for you. You would put up a good fight against them but unless you would have any truly reliable allies, you wouldn’t be able to match their strength as they would be able to match your strength if not more.

War would be tedious but if it had to be done to get you they would do it, Denmark and Sweden would find a common ground in leading the charge. Iceland and Norway would be more on the side of sending in supplies to the front lines along with trying to settle the war diplomatically as the war continues.

In the end it wouldn’t matter if you surrender or choose to continue a losing war, they would have you in the end, either through violence or surrender. They would trap you in their circle not letting you reach out to anyone that they don’t approve of, why would you need anyone other then them anyways? They love you either way and would take great care of you after the war, treating any wounds they would had inflicted onto you. You’ll be in their great care as a shared land between them.

Honestly, everyone would probably become pretty bummed out if their s/o said that, some more than others.

 I see England, Spain, N. Italy, Russia, Sweden, Prussia, and Canada as more of the sensitive yanderes. Basically this would lead to feelings of pure confusion (Spain, N. Italy, Prussia), anger (England, Russia, Canada), or overall sadness (Prussia, England, Sweden, Canada) with the yanderes.

England and Russia are more likely to lash out on their darling and be pretty crushed for awhile. Spain and N. Italy would be extremely confused (and maybe a little sad). Prussia, Sweden, and Canada would be completely destroyed.

Berwald excuses himself and disappeares in the kitchen to prepare some treats and tea, giving you enough time to look around in the living room. There are pictures of you, of him and pictures of the other nordics and unknown friends spread all around the nice looking living room. It looks natural; not even the photos he took of you look unnatural, they look professional.

You casually leaning against a tree with your headphones in and eyes closed, you picking the flowers in your neighbours garden... you never look at the camera. You really didn't even notice his obsession with you until he kidnapped you.

Berwald let's you be. Take the time you need to warm up to him.

The open windows let the merciless cold wind of the infamous Finnish winter into your shared bedroom and the thin blanket you had didn't shield you one bit from the bitter cold at night.

Tino had the thicker blanket, so you were forced to crawl to him for warmth and he oh so gladly embraced you.

He wouldn't try initiating contact until after a few weeks anyways. He was quite surprised when you tried shoving him away, after you've been starved of physical affection for so long though.

He's ok with it though. Arthur once told Lukas that a slow dance often breaks the ice, when you want to get closer to a lady, so that's probably what he does one day.

Setting a few fairy lights up, putting on slow music, a fire in the fireplace, Lukas wearing a good outfit and waiting for you to come down to the living room, so that he can see his plan of making you fall for him unfold.

He didn't touch you without your consent, so you know he wouldn't pull anything stupid to betray your trust. Also...a little fun and a tiny dance won't hurt, right?

He is a blushing mess and it took him a lot of courage to try and kiss you. He feels horrible, now that you rejected him like this.

You feel so sorry for him that you probably end up hugging him anyways. This way you can't see the smirk that slowly forms on his lips. So that's what makes you tick? Seeing him "vulnerable and shy"? He can keep playing like that, no biggie.

He'll just hug you, it doesn't matter what you say or do. He steals pecks and chus and is so quick with that, that you don't even have time to react. He won't force you into anything further though.

Matthias is the type of yandere that follows his darling around like a lost puppy, in fact, he can get quite annoying. However, he’s extremely dangerous. This is because it’s so very easy to get him jealous, and with jealousy comes anger. Red, hot anger. Matthias isn’t just willing to kill for his darling, he has killed for his darling, and they’re absolutely terrified of him.

Berwald is unusual, that’s for sure. He’s utterly infatuated with his darling, but he’s not especially good with his emotions, so he comes off as a little awkward. However, he’s also a protector at heart and he’s absolutely willing to watch over his darling like he’s some kind of guardian angel. That being said, though, his darling isn’t always aware that he’s watching them.

Tino is the yandere you don’t, can’t, see coming. He’s just so sweet, so loving, it’s hard to imagine him doing something even slightly twisted. He’s still a very old country, however, so Tino’s far from harmless. He depends heavily on manipulation, because of course he doesn’t like violence. His darling trusts him wholeheartedly and he uses that to his advantage.

Emil, like Denmark, follows his darling around like a lost puppy, but he tends to be more intense about it. He’s obsessive to an extreme extent, something he’s not entirely aware of, he just wants to be around his darling all of the time. He’s in denial, though, because he really doesn’t want to be so in love worh his darling, it’s irritating to him.

• there is a multitude of ways this could go, perhaps you're a member of the nordics yourself, or maybe you're a country that's helped them out in the past, or just a friend of one of them that the rest have gotten attached to. one way or the other now you're stuck with five yandere's on your back, good luck.

• it's most likely finland or denmark met you first, both more outgoing then the rest of the nordics. it was probably tino that got attached first, he has a natural inclination to taking care of people, and when his darling, at least in his mind, looked to be in need of a loving family, how could tino deny them that?.

• he's clingy towards you, you'll start running into him more and more often, and since you're both there you two might as well hang out. a subtle yandere, tino really just seems like a mother hen, wanting to take care of you at all times, he pretty much just inserts himself into his darlings life. he tries to do things for them and his pretty affectionate, which comes off as overbearing to his darling, who's only known him for a month.

• sweden would take it upon himself to 'investigate' this new person his 'wife' has been suddenly doting over. you'd notice the shadow of a man wherever you went for a while, and eventually berwald would be introduced to you by tino.. and you aren't afraid of him. with even tino being slightly jumpy around him, his darling would be a breath of fresh air. it would be obsession at first sight, he and tino might just start planning to take you to stay with them from that point onward.

• similarly to sweden, denmark is one to attach hard and fast, matthias was probably just on his way to drag berwald out for a drink when he notices the swede 'observing' you from afar. how could berwald hide you from him this long! (it's only been like six weeks since you met tino), he's quick to glue himself to your side, without any intention to ever share you with someone else

• when denmark realises sweden and finland are also after his darling, he doesn't hesitate to take them away with him, without outside distractions. it'll be the perfect life, just his darling and their 'big brother denmark', except neither sweden or finland would ever back down.

• you might end up in a situation where you just keep getting kidnapped back and forth, tino is furious when he finds out and promptly moves you into his house, he hadn't planned on taking you so forcefully, he and berwald had agreed that they'd convince you to move in on your own, but then matthias just nad to go and escalate things.

• norway would be a different story entirely, thinking little of you when you first met him, actually, he probably doesn't even like you that much, he wouldn't become a yandere until you'd been kidnapped by the others. lukas will start getting sick of the madness and kidnap you himself until they calm down, he really had no intention of becoming so attached to you himself, but whether it was your passion for something, smile, laugh, heck maybe you can see his trolls, but his fellow nordics obsessions with you will gradually make more sense to him.

• you'd have much more freedom with norway, he can just use his magical friends to keep track of you, so at least you're not chained to a basement. once denmark, sweden and finland realise norway has you, they'll begrudingly come to the agreement to share you fairly.

• it was iceland that probably made the suggestion for them to just share you, he hadn't been really involved in the drama until you'd stay at their house as an 'official' member of the family. initially all he'd feel towards his darling was sympathy, having dealt with the other nordics overbearingness before, he'd be a breath of fresh air to his darling, the only 'normal' person, you're probably fonder of him then he is of you at first. emil becomes a yandere slowly, and quickly, one day he just attachs to them, especially if they treat him like an adult and not a child like the other nordics do.

• slowly but surely you'll end up with five clingy, obsessive, overprotective and possessive yandere's after you. after the madness of coming to the agreement of sharing you fairly, you'll be given more freedom, but rest assured that they'll never truely let you go.

How you meet 

You would meet him in Ikea, he’s often walking around the place to get a sense of his people and those who work there, and of course he’ll instantly notice someone like you, someone who silently stands out in the crowd, he won’t be smitten instantly, he’s a bit too careful for that, but he will know that you are something different, he just can’t place how or why, it’s a mystery to him, on he intends to figure out.

Kidnapping?

Haha no, the dude is a secret softie, even as a yandere he has a hard time with doing anything hurtful to his beloved, he knows the consequences kidnapping has for his beloved darling, and he doesn’t want to put them through all that, he would much rather prefer that you come willingly. If any kidnapping happens, it’s by Tino/Finland who takes pity on Berwald and gets you for him, Tino will put a bow in your hair and hand you over to Berwald.

S/o as a captive

Berwald would have prefered to keep you as a secret, in a cottage in his country, but Finland’s actions make that impossible. As a captive you will be treated like a princess by Berwald and the only kinds of punishments you will endure are the silent treatment, which in its own right can be rather horrible too, especially when the other Nordics will follow Berwald's example, at least until you’ve become attached to Berwald, after that they will try to smoothen things out or in the worst cases, take it upon themselves to punish your for your wrong doings. On a lighter note, Berwald will want you to co-parent Justin/Ladonia and Peter/Sealand with him and Finland.   

Rival 

Unless this rival is Finland, they are going to die or at least learn to stay away. Berwald doesn’t have a problem with using his intimidating nature to scare away any and all who oppose him, if he must he will find his old spear and spear the rival through the chest. It will be even worse if the rival is Mathias/Denmark, those two are completely incapable of sharing and their friendship is already rocky enough as it is. You can expect a very violent and bloody war between them if they both happen to love you. It will tear their little group apart.   

What type of Yandere

Berwald is an overprotective yandere and will do everything in his power to protect you, even from the other Nordics if they try to punish you for misbehaving, although he might not always succeed with that, he will try nonetheless. He’s also a n overprotective parent, so you’ll have to deal with that as well

Aph Denmark - Magnus Kohler 

Doesn’t do punishments. Magnus doesn’t believe in violence against his lover. He thinks that just him giving you more love will make you realize that you are in no danger and that you will come to love him sooner than later. He just needs to be patient and wait for you to understand that he is the only one for you.

 Aph Finland -  Tino Väinämöinen 

Light Physical punishments. It’s nothing like torture, but well, for example, forcing them to kneel for hours or spanking them for a specific amount of time, until Tino believes that you have learned your lesson. His punishments really resemble those of an angry father punishing his child for misbehaving.

Aph Iceland - Eiríkur Steilsson

When his soon-to-be S/O asks him about his interest, their soft voice will get to him... he'll blush heavily, and a small conversation will end up taking place. Before they leave, he'll muster up the courage to ask for their number. He won't follow them around, but he'll make sure that when he does kidnap them it'll be at a seemingly innocent hangout. Finland (Tino Väinämöinen): This boy will go everywhere. Who knows where he'll meet this special somebody? Either way, he'll seem very, very innocent at first. He'll stalk them after their first meeting and cute little conversation however to find out more about them and where they usually go. As he does this, he just falls more and more.
