Right, time for another Question. What tabletop games besides DND have you played, Changeling? (Zam, trying to get a World of Darkness game together)
...regrettably, the only tabletop game I have played is DnD
I have no other TTRPG experience whatsoever

Howdy! I got into FiM in high-school and I wanted to say I love your silly little comics! Are you on FiMfiction by any chance, and if so, any fanfic recommendations?
Sincerely, Zam
I'm not actually sure! I would love some FimFiction reccs if anyone has some, because I'd really like to engage with that side of the fandom more :D
also thank you!!!

Thank you for the tag @adel-memes
Rules: write the latest line from WIP and tag as many people as there are words in the line. Make a new post. Don't reblog.
"Sky!" Wars called out, having to sink to his knees as Sky's weight increased, his body limp as his world faded to black, distant yells silently ringing in his ears, he didn't know if they were at him or from him.
I hate that you made me do this(but not really)
I'm... Not done. At all. This isn't half of what I have planned, I just haven't been able to finish it (. . ) So yeah!
@zamorakas-the-king-of-ocs
Y'know... I don't actually know who else to tag. We have similar mutuals... OH WELL!

Okay, so under your headcanoned Hylian System of Magic:tm:, do any castee/wizard need a focus, an they just wave their hands and do stuff, or are components needed like in DnD?
Eh, depends on the mage. Wind likes to use his baton, for example. Mask and Ocarina like to use their instruments. Realm, on the other hand, just kinda does it.
It certainly helps, if that's your approach to the mentality of it, but it's not necessary unless the mage wants it to be

Welp. Time for more angst. This time.... well, let's do this. All the Links have to go back through their adventures, this time with the others helpless to do anything but commentary. How long until one of the Chain breaks down and starts crying uncontrollably? (My money's on either Lore with Koholint or Mask going through the three day cycle alone... again.)
First, question: can the Link on the adventure hear and/or respond to the commentary? Additional question: do the Links have memory of doing their adventures the first time around?
Second, it's Speck, who bursts into tears upon watching Gen's Zelda fall through the clouds to the Surface below. Gen was so close! He almost had her! What if she's not okay?!?!?

Welp. Time for a new question to ask every single Link. Someone introduces The whole Chain to modern music. Who's everyone's favorite band and genre, respectively.
DISCLAIMER: I AM NOT A DEVOTED MUSIC PERSON. I PICKED MOST OF THESE MUSICIANS OFF A LIST THAT GOOGLE GENERATED FOR ME WHEN I TYPED IN 'GOOD [GENRE] ARTISTS'. I DID MY BEST. PLEASE DON'T JUDGE ME.
Gen: he's a jazz person, he likes mimic the improvisational riffs with his harp. He likes Ella Fitzgerald, she's very emotive
Speck: he's into dubstep surprisingly, it's like nothing he's ever heard before. Datsik is cool
The Four: they're soundtrack people - movies, games, shows - you name it, they've tried it. Hans Zimmer is a particular favorite
Ocarina and Mask: they're both into pop, but on opposite ends of the spectrum. Mask is more into the fast-paced-beat-heavy stuff, like Panic! At The Disco, whereas Ocarina is more of a power ballad guy, like Taylor Swift
Dusk: he likes folk, as a direct result of growing up in a small rural town. Bob Dylan is very relatable
RGBV: they all like instrumental, although none of them particularly agree on what kind of instrumental. Vio prefers softer piano stuff, Blue appreciates a heavy bass and beat section, Red leans towards strings and orchestral stuff, and Green is more into brass and woodwinds. Listening tastes range from GlitchxCity (Blue), Micheal Tai (Vio), insaneintherain (Green), and Rozen (Red)
Lore: classical music, unexpectedly, but it's the sort of classical that's slightly to the left. For example, that one Tchaikovsky piece that calls for cannonfire twelve separate times
Realm: he likes reggae, for the chill vibes. Bob Marley is peak chill vibes
Sketch: blues have fun riffs, and he appreciates that sort of thing. Jimi Hendrix has very good chord progression i
Wind: orchestral/instrumental, which isn't very surprising given the kind of music he uses to make the weather. Jafet Meza makes good stuff, and Theophany
Steam: techno is his vibe, it reminds him of machinery. Tale of Us is neat

So..... Lore finds a lab in one of the other Link's Hyrule. And finds notes on a magical equivalent of an atom bomb.
At seeing the level of destruction and the aftereffects it would cause, what does he do?
Obviously he sets the notes on fire. Someone was using bombs to hurt people??? That's in blatant defiance of the Subrosian Circle of Incendiary Materials. Evil, evil knowledge. He's not even going to give it a proper sendoff by exploding it, he's just going straight to arson

*Pulls out Trenchgun, loads it* Unfortunately, the Links have somehow ended up in a merged timeline, specifically, a Dieselpunk timeline (Dieselpunk being a WW1/WW2 asthetic scifi/fantasy setting, in this case, leaning more on fantasy, with things like magical artillery) The local Link is one of many soldiers, and specifically, a Sheikah whom I will name Gasmask. What do the Chain do when they learn that Ganon is trying to kill off all the Sheikah in fear that the new Hero is one of them?
Oh this is that AU you were telling the server about, right?
...yeah that whole Sheikah genocide thing is Not Okay, and the Chain is going to do something about it immediately
(and by something, they mean the systematic overthrowing of a political tyrant)

Welp, time to send a random person to the Chain.
This time, it's The Batman who seems to be the local incarnation of The Hero's Spirit. How does the Chain deal with an entire Rouges Gallery of Hatred Incarnations, The Joker especially?
Well you see, the problem here is that Batman's Rogues Gallery seem to rely at least sixty percent on Batman being willing to play along with their themes and shenanigans. Take the Riddler, for example. It's almost certain that Batman doesn't have to solve the riddles in order to figure out what's going on, but he does anyway. Why? Drama, I presume, but the point that I'm making here is:
The Links have absolutely no concept of Drama for the sake of the Aesthetic. Or rather, they only notice that it's a thing when it's on their side of the playing field. The Joker is trying to do his schtick with the joy buzzers and the fake guns and the punching glove in the pie, and meanwhile the Links are on the other side of the field going, "Why would we shake his hand!? Why would we ever get close enough for that!?"
That takes the whole joy out of the conflict, it really does. The Joker needs a captive audience! If there's nobody to laugh at his pranks then what is he even doing with his life??? "Get over here and follow the Vigilante Script!" he shouts.
"No thanks, we're good!" Lore yells back, and then launches sixteen bombs and also a Cucco.

Welp, time once again to send the Chain somewhere random on the WHEEL OF FANDOMS!
*Spins the New Wheel of Fandoms, lands on....* And it's the Sunken London universe, everyone! Victorian England dealing with Gothic and Eldritch horrors beyond our control and comprehension! How do the Links deal with such a world where wit and charm are as much a weapon as your blade and gun, where the sunless seas are ripe for plundering, and the skies above are traveled by train?
...I wish I could be surprised by the fact that I don't know this franchise
Well, wit and charm, you say? This is excellent news!
"Red, front and center! Your job is to be cute and cuddly."
Meanwhile, Steam goes quietly and delightedly feral over sky-trains and is totally-not-at-all planning an overhaul on the Spirit Train's gearshift to incorporate a levitation function

.... Alright, let's try this again. This time, the Chain gets sent into the Sonic the Hedgehog Movies. How long until they all get adopted into the Wachoskis?
Oh, now this one I know!
The Wachowskis are only in the business of adopting small lost Mobians, which the Links are unfortunately not. They are, however, in the business of helping out lost interdimensional travelers, which the Links absolutely fit the description of. Cue the very loud, very confusing, very chaotic adventure to get them back on their journey. Somewhere along the way Sonic ends up in a hat and tunic perfectly sized for himself, Tom acquires a Fire Rod but not the accompanying knowledge of how to use it, Maddie lodges a formal complaint with the Subrosian Circle of Incendiary Materials, and the Links do a great deal of fire-related damage control that they hadn't been intending to be needing to do

A response to that one answer about being recruited by the bad guys:
"Unfortunately, The Wheel plays both sides, and I am just its chaotic creator."
Speaking of which...
It's time to Spin the Wheel!
*The Wheel Spins... and lands on a certain image.*
Oh... oh no. That's not good...
So, Demise is gonna self destruct.. Have fun folks- *dips out before things get nasty*
...define 'self-destruct.'
Is this a literal self-destruct? Can I compare it to the Pokemon move? Is this an emotional self-destruct? Mental? Are there explosions involved?
You know what, for the funsies, I'm gonna say it's a literal self-destruct. Demise goes boom.
Which actually probably takes most of the planet with him, now that I think about it, since I imagine that the god of destruction's self-destructing would be... quite large.
Well that's unfortunate.

Welp, it's that time again! It's the
WHEEL! OF! TRAUMA!
*spins the Wheel, this time with the words "OCs To Harm and Torture" above it... lands on Survivor.*
AND IT'S THE ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE, EVERYONE! How does The Chain deal with a relentless undead horde made of the friends, family, and loved ones of the Local Link, nicknamed Survivor, in a city with buildings as tall and moss covered as trees?
This sounds like a franchise that I should recognize but inevitably don't, because that's how these things seem to work whenever you submit
That aside! This is honestly not that different from dealing with Redeads and Gibdos, if you squint at it. Granted, the faces of their loved ones are new, but! This is an alternate universe, so it's probably not actually their loved ones. (This is a terrible way to think about it, but the alternative is to go mad with grief and that seems like a bad idea so the Chain's not going to do that).
Wonder if zombies react to Light Magic the same way that Gibdos do. Better go find out

A Subrosian suddenly pops up out of nowhere and hands each Link a musket, a flintlock, or both. They then give*Lore* of all people the manual, and dissapear. How long until chaos happens?
(Zam, who has read a too few Pirate of the Caribbean fanfics over the past few days.)
Ten minutes. The only reason it isn't five minutes is because Gen does his futile best to reign it in.
It is, to reiterate, futile, but he is effective for five entire extra minutes, and that's progress from the previous three minutes!

Welp, back to angst.
This time, the Links are trust into a timeliness where Ganon has taken over Hyruke, Fascist Dicator style. How do they react to finding the local incarnate leading a small, determined resistance of mistreated peoples in a world with almost no hope?
Well the only logical response is to join him!
(several incredibly chaotic months later, the government is overthrown but nobody can quite figure out how. there was definitely explosives, at some point, plus several sightings of a rabbit being chased by a falcon that shouldn't technically be connected but clearly somehow is. there would be a suspiciously coordinated tornado outbreak if it weren't for the fact that tornadoes can't be coordinated except for the part where they somehow were. it's plausible that the mice staged their own revolution, except that mice don't do that? but there's no other explanation for all the holes in the walls that led to the structural collapse of the entire Evil Lair-)
