Stray Game AU: In which Momo did follow after little kitty into the sewers but during the whole hellish chase sequence, Momo gets taken by the zurks—yelling to the cat to make a run for it and to tell his friends he was brave. It’s here that the cat and B-12 assumed Momo was dead for sure.

But no, this wasn’t the case.

Imagine instead the Zurks were intelligent enough to use him as a sort of vessel—but since he was a robot, they kept him and managed to attached some of its weird meaty parts onto him, affecting his systems and practically mind controlling him.

Sometimes he would be conscious during process, sometimes he isn’t. But when he is, it somewhat hurts him—especially as he can hear the thoughts and commands of the hivemind and infecting him like a virus.

Stray - Resurfacing Au

A lot of people liked this post and I’m getting more ideas from my second play through so let’s do this. Stray Spoilers Ahead.

When the city opened up, the zurks died and the sentinels deactivated, the Outsiders were finally able to reunite and make their way towards the surface

(Zbaltzar had to stay behind until they had a place to put his monitors and everything else, but he didn’t mind, it just gave him more time to meditate)

They reach the station. They’re off put with how emotionless the helpers are, but decide to help them out at a later date

They’re about to exit to the surface when Momo hears something coming from the main control room and goes to investigate

He finds the little outsider, curled around his drone friend who’s eyes aren’t lit up anymore

Momo comforts the little outsider, picking him and his inactive friend up then taking them to the others

Doc ends up taking B12, believing he may be able to recover him

While the little outsider goes out to find his family, Doc sets up his new lab on the surface and works on bringing back B12

He finds that yes, he can recover B12, but the small drone body is beyond repair so he ends up installing B12 into a companion body

When B12 wakes, the cat and his reunited family are there to greet him. Doc explains everything that happened while B12 is covered in cats

B12, while happy to still be alive and with his memory, struggles with his identity. Now that everyone is free and he no longer has the mission of opening the city to focus on, he’s forced to face the implications of being the last human on Earth and if he even counts as a human anymore

The outsiders welcome him into their group, even if they’re free now, they still have their camaraderie and still consider themselves the outsiders

B12 doesn’t tell them about him being human right away, he wants get a bit more comfortable in his new ‘skin’ before he does so

Okay, listen to me people, I've got a banger AU:

Dsmp but Stray

So, I don't know if anyone remembers but for a little while there was a very small fanfic trend that was just dsmp but Tommy is a cat. Not a magic or special cat, just a normal regular ass cat.

So let's bring back that energy but with a fun post-apocalyptic world thrown in the mix!

I was thinking that Wilbur would be perfect for the B-12 role as well. Mostly because it reflects really well the Ghostbur situation: he basically died and came back as something completely different and with more holes in his memory than intact parts. And trauma of having seen everyone he cared about dying in front of him of course.

As for the other robots I don't know. I was kinda thinking of Ranboo for the Momo role because, well, they were both kind of cowards who resigned themselves to their miserable condition. Though Momo did do something about it as soon as he received some support and I'd like to think Ranboo would too.

Doc and his son would obviously be Tubbo and Michael. Because come on! The badass genius scientist has to be Tubbo! And Doc created the strongest weapon against the zurks in the underground city just like Tubbo did with the nukes to fight Dream. It just fits. Also we get teenage Michael as a treat.

I genuinely don't know who to put in Zbaltazar's place. Maybe Hannah? She's the one with the biggest connection to plants but it feels like a stretch. I dunno, if anyone has any other idea tell me.

I do definitely know who Clementine is gonna be though. Our resident anarchist seems like the only fitting option. Techno. He did love breaking out of jail! He technically did it twice. And Clementine is very acab I gotta say. It just seems like a very obvious choice.

Also, little headcanon for this AU: Quackity is the owner of the night club in the upper part of the city. And the two djs you find there are Slime and Foolish. Literally just because of aesthetics.

Fundy and Sally would be Wilbur's dead family in this one, so no appearences from them.

I imagine Sam as the guardian of the first city because I wanna keep his warden persona but I don't want him as the mindless drones guarding the actual prison.

playing some more stray, here's the notes:

-5P used to hang out where the Guardian in og Stray is (since that's where Suns is)

-so after Suns and Pebbs have more arguments about the Outsiders 5P decides to room w/ Momo for a bit

-NSH and Clementine room together

-speaking of clementine when you get her notebook the note in it mentions blazer

-most iterators will room with companions because there's not enough space

-anyways i need to talk a lot about Momo and 5P for a second because there's a lot to cover

-1: It's platonic. Don't even try. Sunstone is staying.

-2: Usually when you meet Momo in game he's kinda pissy about the transciever and stuff. In the AU, 5P does not help with this. While he is an Outsider, he's slowly getting more and more wary because his shutdowns are becoming more common (meaning there's more zurks/zurk-rot). When you get all the notebooks, 5P is still wary and only decides to go with Momo to sewers after Doc comes back with the functioning zurk killer in Moon-12

-3: As previously stated in another post, Momo knows what's up with Moon, so when 5P has a harsh reaction to Moon-12 it doesn't take long for Momo to ask what's wrong (which would happen while Monk and Survivor are in Rooftops for convivence's sake)

Keep imagining the best way to start the stray raft au.

Because the best i have rn is the Outsiders get really fond of the shore, because of the postcards, and thus make a little outsiders clubhouse sort of deal in the tree line. Seamus and Doc spend approximately enough time fishing [because this is a known father and son bonding activity] that they’re a little sun bleached... and Doc has started cataloguing said sea life. Seamus is in charge of drawing them for physical record purposes. Also because Doc loves to see his son make art and Seamus loves being a part of whatever his dad’s working on. Zbalthazar just lives out there, via being hauled outside. The repairs on his body are a bit slow going, due to the salt air not making matters better, but its peaceful. Easier to hear himself think when he’s focused on wave sounds instead of bots yelling about mahjong or clanging around in the garbage. It helps that he likes to sit on a platform in front of a window so he can watch the horizon. Sometimes he just watches it for hours, observing the waves and clouds. He never thought he’d see those, or all the shapes they can make. His legs are mostly rusted into position, but with some effort he can move his upper body just fine. The others sit with him and talk about the things he sees when they aren’t there. Like what his old intranet meditation searches tell him are dolphins, jumping in the far distance. Or water spouts when it storms. Lightning was extremely interesting the first time he saw it, the static in the air sending an odd tingle through his wires. Clementine goes between the city entrance, where some braver bots are building a little city, and the clubhouse. She and Zbalthazar spend a lot of time catching up, but then again they all do. But she’s the one that brings back little plants in pots to surround him with while she tells him about where she found them. She’s also the first one to scale a tree after Stray and excitedly explain what she saw. Momo was... reluctant to go to the beach. Not because he didn’t want to see it, or spend time with his friends-- but he was still... him. He fussed around even leaving the Slums when the elevator unlocked. Then he kicked around Midtown with some other bots before Doc and Seamus dragged him to the surface. Then he was in too deep NOT to follow them around, and he certainly couldn’t duck out of helping Zbalthazar get from Antvillage to the surface... and then when Clem discovered the beach, he dragged his feet before helping Zbalthazar head over. He was getting a little braver, but it feels... odd to have a sky that isn’t finite. Odd to hear wind whistling through and around things. It all felt rather too large. But it was beautiful. And while his ‘braver’ was mostly hanging out with Zbalthazar and tinkering with a radio to see what they could pick up outside, it was still there.

The outside being beautiful was actually rather puzzling, even to the outsiders, if only because they expected safe at best. As in, lacking zurks and maybe not raining acid or something. Logically they knew that the outside... changed... but after so long of stagnation in their environment, it felt surreal. Not to mention the fact that the little outsider was nowhere near the only one like him, and that there were more organics surrounding the city than they could shake a servo at. Not to mention all the ones Doc ended up fishing up. The ancestors had hidden away because they had dealt with horrible disasters they couldn’t survive on the outside, and yet it seemed to have recovered.

.... Do i know how to segue from this into “wtf is that” said zbalthazar pointing at a giant raft on the horizon and the rafters being like “hi”? ABSOLUTELY NOT

Sorry for them spam of the inbox but I actually love this au now and I’m coming up with so many ideas,,

I wonder when theyd realize that agent 8 isn’t human. I think Gaurdian would be the first as he seems keen and probably noticed the suction cups on their head and the inky flow of their hair right away. The second would be momo cause,, yknow.

And then the Zurks. Would ink affect them? Do they ignore 8 because the taste of ink is disgusting? I think they’d ignore 8 cause I personally headcanon Octo/inkling ink to be highly toxic to ingest for any life form and a certain Amount of it could melt metal. And if one did bite 8 they’d die. So the job is to protect the cat basically.

It’s fine if you infodump into my ask box, I like your ideas a lot!

I am this close to making an au where b12 survives, moves himself into one of the companion robot bodies, adopts the mc (main cat) and the rest of their cat family and then has to deal with being the only remaining ‘human’, trying to figure out his role in this fledgling society while mourning the loss of his own.
