The Donnies pretend be annoyed, but then join in on the singing as soon as “Grease Lightning” comes on. 2012 Raph and Leo go in to yell at them to “FOR THE LOVE OF GOD STOP” but Rise Raph grabs them each with one hand and stops them. “If you ruin this, I will throw you back to where you came from. And I don’t mean a portal.” And it’s so vaguely threatening they shut up and accept their fate.

Then yknow 2012 April starts simping for Rise Donnie, and all sorts of weird and funny begin. Rise April can’t decide between laughing or vomiting. 2012 Donnie tries to commit multiple, increasingly elaborate, murder plots. Rise Donnie running, yelling, and hiding the entire time, including yelling “GET THIS MONSTER AWAY FROM ME” but April is completely unaware. And 2012 April, doing to someone else something that makes HER uncomfortable, which is a bite in the butt for her consider her treatment of 2012 Donnie, like constantly egging him on.

The plot is just the Caseys committing crimes together, and the turtles try and stop them, completely unaware that they’re the Caseys, and the Caseys completely unaware of the destruction in their wake.

okay so one last thing before i go to bed, but you know what has always irked me about peoples’ fanfics for humanverse tmnt? yall putting donnie in high school, that’s what.

have you met this kid? have you met this kid? he’s the guy that invented new fields of science because he was bored last thursday. the asshole who breaks the laws of physics every five days or less for the hell of it. the motherfucker who could walk up to a professor with three phds and two decades of teaching under their belt, take the whiteboard marker out of their hands, proceed to correct the equation that this poor professor has spent the better part of their career perfecting and be right about it.

ye fools who put him in high school in your fics. donnie is the pimply pubescent prodigy in the front row of a university lecture. the gangly genius who’s blowing through courses like its nothing while his voice still cracks every third word. he’s the smart aleck shithead who is smarter than every other person on campus and he knows it. they all know it. he gets scholarships and a private lab before he’s even submitted his application to the university. he trashes that lab on regular with definitely unsafe experimentation (explosions, spills, his brothers visiting him) and no one can say shit about it because he’s probably going to cure cancer or HIV next month and possibly topple a few mega corporations by subverting their products with accessible and cheap alternatives. maybe hack the pentagon for the hundredth time just to see what new scandals he can leak to the news.
