yaspup reviews: Skunk Fu
Hey hey hey, Looks like it’s time for yet another review on an Obscure cartoon! and today we’re gonna Touch on.. You guessed it Skunk FU!! So I’ve noticed that Skunk fu kinda has more of a “bigger” fanbase than to say, Sushi pack hints I’ve seen more fanart and stories about this show. Now with that said, Let’s get it on and talk about the show and how it’s aesthetics are to the veins of samurai jack(which I’m gonna talk about a bit later)
Now, Skunk fu had aired around 2007-2008 and it has been to many channels such as Cartoon network, The CBBC (in the Uk),  ABC(Australia), TVY(Canadia), even TV Asahi(Japan) And in Some cases, Qubo, Kids WB, and that’s all I could remember. (Also, speaking of Qubo, I will be reviewing some shows on the channel too since I felt that these shows were Obscure as Heck.) Now By the look of this show, I said it only aired around 2007-2008 and well, we can all agree that its life was short and there’s lots of potential of making a plot-driven story. Well, I’ll discuss how to make the show should have ended and have my own conclusions and thoughts but for now, Let’s get to what’s the show’s about!
THE PREMISE OF THE SHOW?
Well okay, You know Samurai Jack? okay, now think about Kung Fu Panda, and then Bam! That’s basically what the show is, it’s Samurai Jack, But for furries! Nah just kidding, But it’s kinda true… So The thing is that a long time ago when Panda and Dragon were younger, they were the best of friends and Dragon used to protect the valley and the animals that lived in it but then one day Heaven gave Dragon a test and so there was a Drought. And when this Drought happened Dragon hates to see his animal friends parish from the lack of water so, He used his powers to Bring back the water from the valley yet little did he knew, The Heavens cursed dragon for doing a “selfish Deed” and Thus He was banished and his once golden scales became black and also the heavens took away Dragon’s ability to fly and thus he became evil and lives in a volcano. And so, Many years later, Panda Trains a Young skunk in the hopes that someday he will defend Dragon and bring peace once again. So I’m just gonna talk about some episodes that I’ve kinda remember so without further or do, let’s get to the episode
THE PLOT OF THIS EPISODE?
Well, with this episode, It’s about Skunk taking cooking lesions with Duck, at first, skunk didn’t like cooking but then when he has gotten used to it along with her teachings then he grew to love cooking! ( and I must add, This one episode kinda reminds me of that one stage from Parappa the Rapper. You know the one, that one with the chicken) Anywho, So then as the two were cooking, the Ninja monkeys started running to the smell of dumplings and ate almost everything and so, Skunk has to ask some of the animal friends for some help, but then when Rabbit, Ox, and Pig sees that all of the monkeys are all stuffed and sleepy, Rabbit had an Idea. Of course, He decides that the only way to take back the rest of the valley and the mountain is to fatten up the Ninja monkeys so they could easily win with an Iron Fist(paw). And of course, the Idea worked until Baboon Uses this cream to make the monkeys not hungry and not fat. However, Panda Has a little trick up his sleeve. He invited Baboon and the Ninja monkeys for a feast but when Baboon thinking he got the upper hand, Panda then tells all the animals to used the food as weapons and thus a food fight happened and as always Baboon and his goons then runs away back to their side of the valley (I think).
THE AESTHETICS, CHARACTER DESIGNS, AND ANIMATION
Now, remember how I said this is kinda like samurai jack but with furries? Yeah well, I mean by artwork wise. The character designs kinda look a lot like those  Ancient paintings from China or Japan but maybe really China. and I really do love Fox’s design, and some of the other characters too but there was one Design in the show that always bothers me, and that was Pig’s design. Like, Idk man it bothers me too much. Now Dragon’s design is pretty cool and quite menacing! Now the animation actually works well with the character design and it’s quite smooth… AT TIMES…
THE CHARACTERS
Skunk is, of course, our main protagonist and by the looks of his personality he’s just a kid and can get bold at times, however, he does learn a lesson or two during in some episodes. and of course, since he’s the youngest, the rest of the animals have to have a sharp eye for him just in case he gets himself into trouble. And since we’ve never really heard any mention of his family let alone his biological parents, then it’s safe to assume his an orphan and thus Panda his supposed to full the role of his father. Now Panda Is the leader and the master of the arts. And in my eyes, I feel as if he’s an elder of the group well, that and turtle. He is wise and at times he knows what he is doing. Know with Fox, I can see why she’s the fan favorite and well, let’s just say for “good reason”. She’s clever and has strong determination to someday be as great like her father. Of course, she’s treated Skunk like the sister he never had. and of course by the fandom, they shipped Skunk with Fox and I’m all like, Guys! Skunk is like 10 years old and Fox is at least an adult! Stop this now! but in all, Fox is a great character and heck, I bet she might become a strong leader someday or whatever.  And Of course, there’s Rabbit. He always tends to be a bad influence to skunk yet at the same time I felt as if Rabbit is like a big brother to skunk. yeah sure he could be self-important at times but in the end, he still cares about his friends. and well, of course, there was some shipping between Rabbit and fox but hey, I rather take that than An shipping between a boy and a grown woman any day.
IN CONCLUSION
The show has potential yet sadly, just like sushi pack, it had a short life and never got to finish its story. Now, with that said, I felt as if the show could of go on more, then we get to see some more backstory with skunk’s parents, Fox’s father, and or the rest of the cast. and for the season finally, the show can end in two ways, A. Dragon becomes good thanks to skunk or B. Dragon gets killed off and thus with the near-death experience the Heavens Bless Skunk for his bravery and selflessness and thus he becomes the guardian of the valley. Idk man, It’s just ideas of how the show could have worked. but Is this show a good watch? well, yeah sure. I recommended watching this if you got nothing better to do or if you just love shows with an interesting premise.
Welp! Hope you guys like the review, and please don’t be shy to tell me what you folks think? and Thank you for reading my review!!!!!!!!

Based in a old episode from Skunk Fu! titled: The art of the Stink.
In this episode, there is a picture of rabbit parodying The gioconda by Da Vinci.
