Junpei: Oh god. That's...that's a dead body. A real dead body. They were alive just a few seconds ago, but now...th-they're gone. We're trapped here. We are going to die here.

Seven: Junpei have you ever heard of the tide pod challenge? There was this trend, you see. Kids would eat tide pods, those colorful detergent packets, as a challenge of sorts. Died out after a while, but the whole thing was strange enough to leave an imprint on everybody's mind. Everyone who used the internet during that period remembers it to some degree. You see, it was so widespread that some scientists started to wonder what woulda happened if they gave tide pods to monkeys.

Junpei: Oh god, Seven, I think this is part of his brain...why the hell would scientists feed tide pods to monkeys? What's the point of that?

Snake: Really, Junpei. The answer is obvious. Scientists theorize that the urge to consume tide pods originates from primitive areas of the human brain identifying small, colorful objects as fruit. Monkeys and humans share a common ancestor, ergo measuring monkeys' affinity for tide pods proves the inclination is genetically linked to primates.

Seven: Yeah, that was it. The monkeys ate as many tide pods as they could. Interestingly they didn't act like that before the tide pod challenge. The scientists had to force monkeys to eat tide pods.

Junpei: Why were they force-feeding monkeys before the-

Seven: That's not even the weirdest part. Monkeys all over the world started eating tide pods. Even ones in isolated environments. It was almost like...they were somehow communicating. Like they were all receiving the same message to eat tide pods.

Junpei: And just where were the monkeys getting these tide pods from?

Seven: No one knows. Spooky, right?

I hate being a classic persona fan because like atlus drops like one remix of a classic persona track every 15 years and I still eat it up like it's a new game release
