Hello! Would you be comfortable writing headcanons for Frenchie x reader both being aromantic and in a queer platonic relationship? 👾

Hey anon! If the living-together vibe isn't what you pictured, let me know! I can do another set.

Frenchie is a pretty good cook, when he can be bothered to cook. There are just a lot of moving parts and he'll inevitably drop one, which discourages him. When he's cooking for you, though, you can step in and pick up where he leaves off -- like by cleaning, or remembering the cinnamon, or doing the tedious chopping. You make a good team, and dinner's never a chore you split up.

Speaking of chores, once you moved in together, you were really shocked at how well Frenchie does things like cleaning and vacuuming. You mentioned it and he said it's a service thing and he'd rather not talk about it.

You live in a two-bedroom, but Frenchie spends most nights in your room, just playing on his phone next to you while you do the same until it's lights-out and curling into you like a parenthesis thereafter. Neither of you take it personally if you have a night where you'd rather sleep alone.

You're each other's emergency contacts at your jobs and at doctor's offices. You have a joint bank account and you're both on the lease. You talk about getting married someday for reasons like those. You like the promise of commitment, and Frenchie likes the idea of a big party.

Predictably, you do not have a cat. If you want cat time, you have to visit a friend (Wee John's cat is a very funny ragdoll, so she's your top choice for cat visits). Frenchie's fine with any other animal, though. You've nixed lizards, tarantulas, and sugar gliders as pets. You're probably going to get a couple of rats. (Not one, because they need company -- "like us," Frenchie said.)

If you're in contact with your family, Frenchie is too, and they love him. He's great with your parents (all that bullshitting pays off) and with the niblings (which really isn't a surprise when you think about it).

Frenchie is the king of body-doubling. If you're not around to double with, he'll get Roach on FaceTime or call Izzy on speaker. It helps him get things done, and besides, he gets lonely really easily.

When you moved in together, Wee John understood what was up -- you're Room People, but Apartment People. Your other friends had some questions, but everyone gets it now. Except Ed and Stede, who are too ridiculously romantic to understand, but they try.

Frenchie gets a look on his face when he's using the trauma box that you've learned to recognize. You've also learned when it's okay to nudge it open and when it's better just to let it rest.

Frenchie loves Christmas.

Mary had no idea she liked women until the widow’s support group got her thinking very much about other women’s romantic lives without men involved. Now she is aware that she really likes women. 

She hates the ocean absolutely and with no exceptions, and isn’t that fond of beaches either. Or lighthouses. Truly, she likes being in beautiful spaces like cultivated gardens and in well-decorated homes the best.

Mary doesn’t care much for dressing up anymore — she had enough of that in her role as Stede’s wife — but for her there’s an inherent eroticism in helping another woman get dressed with all the bells and whistles. She’s never met a garment she can’t figure out, either, no matter how avant garde. 

When you meet Louis and Alma, they easily accept that their mother has a romantic connection with another woman. It’s almost like no one ever told them same-sex relationships were unusual or problematic (between Mary and Stede, no one ever did).

If you’re a little on the butch side, or a little more than a little, Louis will wonder whether you’re his new father. Paternity is something he’s fixating on and his grasp of sex and gender is tenuous at best.

You and Mary fell in love while she was painting your portrait, or perhaps doing studies of your garden. You just spent so much time together, and spent it so well, that falling in love felt natural.

Mary refuses to hide your relationship from people she cares about (so mostly the widows and Doug), and has from the start. You aren’t sure where she got this bravery and why it was sort of knocked out of you years ago. It’s terrifying but you appreciate it.

being with you is not going to feel official to them unless and until they tell Izzy about it; that's just how it is. izzy is just going to say "um...ok," but this is his blessing, and it's very important to jim.

if you don't know any spanish, get ready to learn! jim is adamant that they need to be able to express themselves to their partners in their own language as well as english.

speaking of partners, plural, jim is really gentle with you when you get jealous or insecure, and they don't get impatient with you about it. as long as you're both trying to make it work because that's what you really want, they're happy.

jim shares a cabin with archie and zheng and oluwande, so if you want privacy it's got to be in your cabin or elsewhere on the ship. this has led to some weirdly hot times in the ball room.

they still have their s1 clothes, and if you're very nice they'll let you borrow them. the nose and beard are lost to time and the sea, however.

if you bind, they will insist on making sure you're doing it safely.

jim hates ed, and if you liked him before you got with jim, you're probably going to like him a lot less once they tell you about the kraken era.

despite having been raised to be god's revenge, jim is a mean cook and baker. only their partners know about or benefit from this.

jim is not a cuddler, unless they're sleeping, in which case they do a fantastic clingy octopus impression.

honestly, jim kinda likes mermaids.
