I wrote this a while back, but i’m still really keen on doing something with my lil Rowanclaw headcanon drabble!

It’s sort of a bit out from the timeline, but I’ve always been fond of the idea that Rowanclaw was one of the kits that were forced to train early under Brokenstar, and that his mentorship was picked up later by Jaggedtooth. He never really had a childhood, and for a good chunk of his adult life, he was rather harsh, closed off and berating to those around him, inputting unsolicited advice and just taking charge where he wasn’t required to (all traits Blackstar saw as key in a deputy so that’s how he finessed that position later.) He was never necessarily a cruel or mean cat, in fact, he was rather just and involved, but just very worn and closed off. However as Rowanclaw went from disgusted and dismissive of Tawnypelt and her origins, to truly seeing her as a respectable and amazing cat, he began to become more open minded and work to change his mindset. He didn’t want his own past strife to define him, and swore he would do better than Brokenstar did to him and his peers. Long explanation but it’s kinda what I see as the reason he fumbled THE HELL out of the whole “Darktail & the apprentices” situation, because he didn’t want to be harsh on them or oppressive to them as his old leader had, and in a way that was somewhat of his downfall.

decided to do blackstars siblings, fernshade flintfang and little badgerfang

semi spoilers for blackfoots reckoning//

my buddy @cheebuss and i already have a blackstar brainrot and a whole ass au, but with the release of some new info on blackfoots family we thought of something new to add to our au:

When blackpaw finds out him and his siblings are the result of an affair, he doesnt tell them(cannon so far) him keeping it all to himself stresses him out and eventually distances himself from his siblings. Fernshade and Flintfang (somehow idk) find out, and are obviously upset at Blackfoot. On top of him distancing himself from them and acting out, he kept a secret that they should have rightfully known about. Badgerfang, Fernshades kit, dies in a battle led by Blackfoot (ordered by Brokenstar). While fernshade and flintfang mourn their loss, Blackfoot awkwardly tries to comfort them; yet they reject him claiming hes done enough damage already. Blackfoot instead of lashing out, shrugs it off and returns to following his cruel leader, Brokenstar. (read more about the blackstar here!!

he was never that bright 

 BACK AT IT AGAIN WITH AN AU bc my friends and i have been discussing blackstar aus for weeks now and i always loved blackstar designs with the face colored in but i dig black and white designs that much so obviously siamese was the right choice. ive had his blackfoot phase sketched out in my notebook for weeks now but only now ive got around to actually designing his fur evolution

 so- siamese blackstar. hear me out 

 As a warrior he was never that bright- he was only made deputy because he was buff and would execute any order. He followed Brokenstar and Tigerstar- 2 brown tabbies. So by the time his face started turning brown he was like “so cool! i get to look like my leaders!!” 

as he slowly began to realize that tigerstar and brokenstar were evil people he began to hate his brown fur, reminding him not only of the cruel leaders he followed, but of the crimes he did while under their reign. The markings were a living reminder on his face of the awful things hes done and had to live with. He could wash away the blood from his paws but not his markings. (he even goes as far as to try to sunbleach himself, resulting in him falling sick a couple of times from overexposure to the sun) 

 acceptance is the first step to healing- after sols abuse he makes amends with those in starclan who he wronged (check video below :3) he no longer hates his markings, as he doesnt associate them with the previous shadowclan leaders anymore.

scourge babey!!!! aright so notes about his design:

he gets his red ears from jake, and after forming bloodclan he always keeps them curled backwards so they look like devil horns

the fangs in his collar is supposed to represent front dog teeth. also the tear in his collar is optional

not too many scars bc bone and his husband brick protect him

and also the brown belly is also from jake, i just took jakes belly color and added some random effect.

scourge also has the same spiky scruff as firestar

if i were to make the relationship polyamorous (sorry if got the term wrong!! feel free to correct me) id make Crowfeather and Daisy relationship really sweet and caring but also with a lot of teasing (that would only be their thing, they dont tease squirrelflight)
